Mir Noori Naseer Khan Ahmedzai Baloch (1749–1794) Khan of Kalat Mir Naseer Khan Baloch (1749–1794) was the ruler of the Balochistan during the eighteenth century. He was also known as Noori Naseer Khan the Great. He utilized his nine years of imposed 'captivity' under Nadir Shah in studying the history of nations their rise and falls their concepts and ideologies;and the role of religion in the shaping of individuals and states. Nadir Shah observed, “This Baloch Prince is destined to become a great king in the future.” He was the first ruler of the region who brought about healthy friendly relations with nations, and knit the tribal organization of the Baloch into one Baloch entity. He established a Baloch parliament to function on a workable constitution based on Islamic Sharia (Laws) and Baloch traditions. People came to append the word Wali, meaning 'a saint', to his name. Adil Shah, Nadir Shah, Qutbuddin shah didn't allow to enter in Maharashtra, how can we allow Amit Shah.
Muslim rule in India was spasmodic. It took five hundred years for its establishment (712-1206) and one hundred and fifty years for its decline and fall (1707-1857). The benchmarks of its establishment are C.E. 712 when Muhammad bin Qasim invaded Sind, 1000 when Mahmud of Ghazni embarked upon a series of expeditions against Hindustan, 1192-1206 when Prithviraj Chauhan lost to Muhammad Ghauri and Qutbuddin Aibak set up the Turki Sultanate at Delhi, and 1296 when Alauddin Khalji pushed into the Deccan. The stages of its downfall are 1707 when Aurangzeb died, 1739 when a trembling Mughal Emperor stood as a suppliant before the Persian invader Nadir Shah, 1803 when Delhi was captured by the British, and 1858 when the last Mughal ruler was sent to Rangoon as a prisoner of the Raj. For five centuries-thirteenth to seventeenth-however, most parts of India were under Muslim rule, though with varying degrees of effectiveness in different regions of the country. But at no single point of time was the whole country ...

I visited with grandfather. Incredibly beautiful tomb and masjid complex, a testament to the many skills of Mughal Emperors. Guerrilla warfare from Sikhs, Marathas, and others and the ego of Mughal Emperors to not continue the Rajput path towards them led to weaknesses later inviting the Persian invasion by Nadir Shah, and the rising to power by the British. Just as today the Taliban continue to torment the Afghan army and the remainder of the Western forces. It is upto Afghanistan and Pakistan to bring the Taliban into the national mainstream and if not make them ineffective. It is up to Pakistan and Bangladesh to raise their nations up to Mughal standards. The governments should pressure the British for a return or in the least a time share of display of Mughal grandeur currently in British Royal or Museum or private custody. If Egypt and Iraq can do it, so can the nations of the Indian subcontinent.

The jeweled dagger with its three cabochon emeralds, a tiny watch on its pommel and an enameled still life, according to Irepoglu, is the perfect embodiment of the eighteenth century refined taste as well as a reflection of the transition period of the Ottoman empire. This was commissioned by Sultan Mahmut I in 1747 as a diplomatic gift for Nadir Shah of Persia but when he was assassinated before the gifts could reach him, it was returned back to the Topkapi Palace.

Our prophet (may Allah bless him and his family and his companions) is one of the few prophets in authentic human history who fought with a sword in hand (ghazwah) and conquered the Arab tribes and Jews and Mecca with Allah’s help and sword. Great Caliphs (may Allah be pleased with them) never stopped invasion of the neighboring lands. Attack on Iranian and Christian neighbors was not in self defense. Indians did not destroy any Twin Towers of Madina; nor did they kill 3000 innocent Arabs, but still they were invaded. Millions of Indians were killed and millions taken slave in these attacks on India by our great heroes like Bin Qasim, Mehmood, Nadir Shah, Taimoor and Abdali. Our great heroes kept attacking Europe ever since the first century of Islamic calendar without any provocation by Europeans. Hazrat Yazeed bin Muavia after slitting every throat of Hazrat Imam Hussain’s family, started his invasion of Constantinople. It is said that a hadith of the Holy Prophet had promised paradise for the great ...

History Khyber Agency, which forms northwest frontier of Pakistan, has been involved with more foreign invasions in the course of history than any other area in Asia. Khyber is one of the world famous gateways to the frontier of Pakistan and in history it is considered as a corridor of invaion as well as commerce between the Central Asia and the Sub-Continent. It lies across the passage of countless invaders including conquerors like Alexander, Changaz Khan, Tamerlang and Mahmud Ghanzanvi who shaped the course of history. This historic and renowned international highway was first used by the Aryans coming from the Central Asia (1,600 B.C). The Persians occupied this region in the 6th century B.C and made it a satrapy of the Persian empire. The next historical episode was the coming of the Greeks under Alexander. Though Alexander himself used a more northerly route yet the major portion of the Greek army under his generals Hephaestion and Perdiccas (326 B.C) came through this area and so did the Bactrians, ...
AN OVERVIEW OF CORRUPTION IN INDIA Corruption in India is a cultural aspect. Indians seem to think nothing peculiar about corruption. It is everywhere. Indians tolerate corrupt individuals rather than correct them. No race can be congenitally corrupt. But can a race be corrupted by its culture? To know why Indians are corrupt, look at their patterns and practices. First Religion is transaction in India. Indians give God cash and anticipate an out-of-turn reward. Such a plea acknowledges that favours are needed for the undeserving. In the world outside the temple walls, such a transaction is named- 'bribe' . A wealthy Indian gives not cash to temples, but gold crowns and such baubles. His gifts can not feed the poor. His pay-off is for God. He thinks it will be wasted if it goes to a needy man. In June 2009, The Hindu published a report of Karnataka minister G. Janardhan Reddy gifting a crown of gold and diamonds worth Rs 45 crore to Tirupati. India's temples collect so much that they don't know what to do ...

Sardarji Barah Baj Gaye ! is belief in the ignorance of Experts- Richard Feynmann I was standing at Jalandhar station when my attention was drawn towards a Sikh youth standing near me wearing a Black turban, sporting a long beard and wearing a kirpan (sword) over his shirt. After a while, one local train arrived, totally packed. The Sikh youth tried to board the train but failed to do so. Just then a voice was heard from the back coach 'Sardarji Barah Baj gaye' (Sir it's 12 o'clock!). The Sikh youth looked over at the speaker (who was a young person) and instead of showing any anger, smiled at him. The smile was so enigmatic that it seemed as if there was some hidden truth behind it. Not able to hide my curiosity, I walked towards him and asked why he smiled at the person who teased him. The Sikh youth replied, 'He was not teasing me but was asking for my Help'. I was surprised with these words and he told me that there was history behind those words. I was eager to know what he was talking about and t .. ...

All followers of Vedic culture everywhere must beware of such leaders. The proper place for preachers of ahimsa and asceticism is a temple or a Himalayan peak. One occupying or controlling a mundane throne in Delhi has no talk of ahimsa. He must be prepared to defend every inch of the country’s territory and slay the enemy. Eversince the end of the Mahabharat era Hindus have progressively weakened. They have developed suicidal tendencies of collectively sponsoring the interest of minority communities against their own, of promoting the prosperity of diabolically hostile neighboring enemy-nations, and of turning the other cheek. Alarmed at this rot one very respected thinker, Mr. P. N. Sharma of Delhi contributed an article titled The One lesson from History which India Never Learnt – to the December 28, 1982 A. D. issue of the quarterly journal titled Itihas Patrika published from THANE (India) The article observed “With a view to comprehend the enormity of this aspect of history, a stock-taking in ...

Nadir Shah sings 'Unam kili...' in this episode of 'Mimics Action 2010'.
Mardan has an important historical and geographical position. A region communicating Afghanistan and India in the past, it had witnessed a wonderful history. Alexander the Great reached the valley through Kunar Afghanistan and Swat in 326 BC.This was followed by Buddhism till the 7th century AD.Towards the end of 7th century; the Afghans arrived in the region. They introduced Islam in the valley. Following this Sultan Sabuktagin, Mahmood Ghaznavi, Mohammad Ghori, Mughals till the time of Aurangzeb and Nadir Shah ruled the valley. Then came the Sikhs and finally British Raj till 1947. It looks as it was very easy to rule this valley. But in reality the great people always fought for their independence. They were so brave that they earned the name "MARDAN" for themselves. It means MEN with charisma and courage. Hence the area is called Mardan.

Arvind Kejriwal says that Bangladesh pays for gas to foreign suppiliers less than US D 3 per unit, we pay more than US D 4 to in house suppliers, and it is going to be soon more than US D8. He talked about huge amount of loot under gas price. The justification of the price formula by some worthys looked worse tha a bad fairy tale. If by any chance Mr Kejriwal is correct, then Gajni Mehmood, Tamerlane, Nadir Shah, East India Co, and British Govt. all put together would be miget in front of these present days thugs looting the country.

Nadir Shah entered Delhi with Mohammed Shah as his hostage on March 11, 1739. When a rumor broke out that Nader had been assassinated, some of the Mughals attacked and killed five Persian Soldiers. Nader reacted by ordering his soldiers to plunder the city. During the course of one day (22 March) 20-30,000 Mughals were killed by the Persian troops, forcing Mohammad Shah to beg for mercy, Nader Shah agreed to withdraw, but Mohammad Shah was forced to hand over the keys of his royal treasury and surrender the Peacock Throne to the Persian emperor. The Peacock Throne thereafter served as a symbol of Persian imperial might. Among a trove of other fabulous jewels, Nader also gained the Koh-i-Noor ("Mountain of Light") and Darya-ye Noor ("Sea of Light") diamonds Persian troops left Delhi at the beginning of May 1739, also taking with them thousands of elephants, horses, and camels, all loaded with the booty they had collected. The plunder seized from India was so rich that Nader stopped taxation in Iran for a p ...
by .::gondal786::. on Sat Nov 13, 2010 3:03 pm The Gondals are a elite Jat clan/tribe found mainly in Punjab, Pakistan. They are also found in Indian Punjab especially districts of Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, and few other parts of India. SONIA GANDHI IS THE MODERN ROBERT CLIVE The bottom line observed in Sonia’s mindset is that she can disregard Indian laws with impunity. If cornered or if she becomes vulnerable to prosecution, she can always run back to Italy. In Peru, President Fujimori who all along claimed to be “born Peruvian”, when faced with a corruption charge fled to Japan with his loot and reclaimed his Japanese citizenship. That is Sonia’s bottom line fall-back option too. In 1977, when the Janata Party defeated the Congress at the polls, and formed the government, it widely known and published that Sonia with her two children abandoned Indira Gandhi, and ran to the Italian Embassy in New Delhi and hid there. Rajiv Gandhi was a government servant then[as an Indian Airlines pilot], but he too tagged along and hid in that foreign embassy ! Such was her baneful influence on him. Rajiv did snap out Sonia’s influence after 1989, but alas he was assassinated before he could rectify the situation. Those close to Rajiv knew t ...
Afghanistan after the US drawdown: The Afghanistan war was one of the opening salvos in a struggle that will not end with the war’s official completion. The coming drawdown in US forces from Afghanistan won’t be the first time the country has faced a significant turning point rooted in a foreign invader’s departure. Afghanistan has known some 2,600 years of foreign invasion: outside conquerors have done a great deal to shape the country’s culture, religion, politics, and geography, and some of Afghanistan’s most critical turning points came as those invaders left the scene. Afghanistan’s founding as a modern state grew out of the collapse of the conquering Persian Afshar dynasty led by Nadir Shah, following Nadir’s assassination in 1747. After Nadir’s own Qizilbash guards beheaded him, a young Pashtun named Ahmad Khan who worked for Nadir, did what any young man in this position might: he helped himself to all he could purloin from the slain ruler’s treasury. Thereafter Ahmad was chosen ...

A Forgotten Empire: Vijayanagar; A Contribution to the History of India by Robert Sewell Chronicle of Fernao Nuniz (Written, Probably, A.D. 1535 -- 37) CHAPTER A Diamonds However much it may at first sight appear that our chroniclers have exaggerated in their description of the wealth of the Hindu sovereign and his nobles, and of the wonderful display of jewels made on days of high festival by the ladies of their households, an account of which is given us by Paes, I for one see little reason for doubt. Nuniz distinctly states (p. 389) that the diamond mines, in their day the richest in the world, were farmed out on condition that all stones above twenty mangellins in weight -- about twenty-five carats -- were sent to the Raya for his personal use, and there must have been many of these. Barradas (p. 226 above) states that, according to rumour, even after the downfall of the empire the king at Chandragiri in 1614 A.D. had no less than three large chests full of diamonds in his possession; and every travel ...
It is early Sunday morning. I am about to start writing this week´s article and write the notes from the Cologne workshop. It seems like there is a lot of change in the air. I have encountered such extremes in people lately. Some are so full of gratitude and love and are connecting to their creative powerful selves and others seem to be swallowed up by overwhelm and throwing swords.    In these moments, and often Sunday mornings are good moments to slow down and bring in some wisdom, I often come back to Osho. This discourse is also available as an audio track and already 20 years ago, I would pop it into my cassette player and listen to it before I headed into concert.    The essence - creativity is a QUALITY. Enjoy and may you cook, walk, sing, talk, dance, gawk, paint, move through this life, creatively. Blessings, K.    "Creativity has nothing to do with any activity in particular – with painting, poetry, dancing, singing. It has nothing to do with anything in particular.   "Anything can be ...
ALLAMA IQBAL in Europe Iqbal proceeded to Europe for higher studies in 1905 and stayed there for three years. He took the Honors Degree in Philosophy and taught Arabic at the Cambridge University in the absence of Prof. Arnold. From England, he went to Germany to do his doctorate in Philosophy from Munich and then returned to London to qualify for the bar. He also served as a teacher in the London school of Commerce and passed the Honors Examination in Economics and Political Science. During his stay in Europe Iqbal not only read voraciously but also wrote and lectured on Islamic subjects which added to his popularity and fame in literary circles. The spirit of Change The Balkan wars and the Battle of Tripoli, in 1910, shook Iqbal powerfully and inflicted a deep wound upon his heart. In his mood of anger and frustration, he wrote a number of stirring poems, which together with portraying the anguish of Muslims were severely critical of the West. The spirit of change is evident in poems like Bilad-e-Islami ...

Darbar Sahib, Amritsar! Golden Temple over the years have become a center of Sikh religion. Like Mecca, Benaras, Jerusalem for Muslims, Hindus, Christians and Jews Amritsar is a revered city for Sikhs. Darbar Sahib: Inception: 1588 A.D. Inaugrated By: Saint Mian Mir. Completed: 1589 A.D. Amritsar was established by the Fourth Guru Guru Ramdas ji in 1589 A.D. There are many versions of how he had done it. There is an evidence that he bought a land around a tank (sarovar) from the Zamindars of Tung Villages in Jhabal District for Rs. 700. There is another version which goes like this that Emperor Akbar was so immpressed by the work being done by third Guru Amardas ji that he donated the land at Amritsar to the Guru ka Langar. Most likely, some land was bought by Guru Ramdas while other being donated by the emperor. Amritsar is also mentioned in Ramayana as Ramtiratha, where Lav and Kush, sons of Rama were born. It is also said that Lav later established the city of Lahore, while his brother Kush established ...

We as a nation are bruised at even the thought of Jallianwala Bagh massacre, but what happened under Nadir Shah is never talked about.
The Sikh empire stretched over what is modern Pakistan, with Lahore as its capital. In a series of battles the Sikhs had pushed the Afghans beyond the Khyber Pass and areas like Peshawar which had long been part of the Afghan( Durrani) empire had been captured. One man who made this possible was the Commander-in-Chief of Ranjit Singhs Army- Hari Singh Nalwa (1791-1837). Hari Singh Nalwa joined the Sikh Army at a young age and by his feats on the battle field rose to be the foremost Sikh General. One aspect of his campaigns needs to be understood, that in 2000 yea`rs of history of the sub continent , Hari Singh was the only Hindu/ Sikh general who ventured west wards and won significant victories. Prior to this all the invaders had come from the east only. Starting from Alexander the Great to Nadir Shah, all of them came from the East. Hari Singh won significant victories against the Afghans and was instrumental in capturing Multan, Peshawar, Jamrud and the Khyber pass. In fact he conquered the entire pres ...

In period of the Shakh staying in Khorasan, Panahali bey took the occasion and run away to Karabakh province together with his relatives and closes in 1737-1738. Syed Ameer Ali (1849–1928) was an Indian Muslim jurist hailed from the state of Oudh from where his father shifted and settled down at Orissa. He was a prominent political leader, and author of a number of influential books on Muslim history and the modern development of Islam, who is credited for his contributions to the Law of India, particularly Muslim Personal Law, as well as the development of political philosophy for Muslims, during the British Raj. He was a signatory to the 1906 Quran Petition and founding-member of the All India Muslim League. Syed Ameer Ali traced his lineage through the eighth Imam, Ali Al-Raza, to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Forefathers of his are known to have held office under Shah Abbas II of Persia and taken part in Nadir Shah's invasion of India. After the plunder of Delhi, the family line then settled in the Sub-continent and started serving Muhammad Shah. NEW DELHI, June 9, 2013 Of Nur and Kohinoor From a king’s turban to a queen’s crown, R.V. Smith traces the tumultuous journey of the good old Kohinoor. The sale of the Nizam diamond for $4.5 million at an auction house abroad recently set tongues wagging in Dariba Kalan, the historic gem and jewellery market where all such sales cause great excitement, for there are shops here dating back to Mughal times. This being the silly season when there are fewer tourists and potential buyers far away, trying to beat the heat on hill stations or in places like Kashmir and Switzerland, there is not much left for jewellers to do than indulge in gossip. The talk veered to the best-known diamond, the Kohinoor (Mountain of Light) and how it was lost to India. Would you believe it that it was a dancing girl who was responsible for this? The famous courtesan Nur Bai disclosed the whereabouts of the Kohinoor in a Rs.4,000-ghazal to invader Nadir Shah in 1739. One rupee in those days was equivalent to about Rs.500 now, ...
The Zahir by Jorge Luis Borges In Buenos Aires the Zahir is a common twenty-centavo coin into which a razor or penknife has scratched the letters N T and the number two; the date stamped on the face is 1929. (In Gujarat, at the end of the eighteenth century, Zahir was a tiger; in Java a blind man in the Sukarta mosque who was stoned by the faithful; in Persia, an astrolabe that Nadir Shah ordered thrown into the sea; in the prisons of Mahdi, in 1892, a small compass, wrapped in a shred of cloth from a turban that Rudolf Karl von Slatin touched; in the synagogue of Cordoba, according to Zotenberg, a vein in the marble of one of the twelve hundred pillars; in the Jewish quarter of Tetuan, the bottom of a well.) Today is the thirteenth of November; last June 7, at dawn, the Zahir came into my hands; I am not the man I was then, but I am still able to recall, and perhaps recount, what happened. I am still, albeit only partially, Borges. On June 6, Teodolina Villar died. Back in 1930, photographs of her had li ...
IRAN & EYE (synopsis) A film by CAMBIZ A. KHOSRAVI “Nadir Shah, suspecting his son, Riza Kula Mirza of disloyalty, ordered the prince’s eyes removed. Later regretting it, he then ordered the spectators of the blinding to be put to death. They should, he said, have offered their lives to save the prince’s eyes, who was the glory of Persia. The Prince remarked “it is not my eyes you put out but the eyes of Persia.” In 1953 a nine year old boy is an eyewitness to the CIA-led overthrow of the first democratically elected government of Dr. Mossadegh in Iran, a popular leader whose chief sin was nationalizing the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (BP), thereby defying the British and American governments. A year later the same boy is shipped off to a German boarding school by his father. In 1958, two years after the death of his father, the teenager is whisked abroad again, by a mother who he meets for the first time, to Geneva, Switzerland. There remarkably, she introduces him to General Fazollah Zahedi, the ...
Rev. Arthur Male: The Hill of Bones, Afghanistan 1878 [Tappan Introduction] AFGHANISTAN was conquered by Alexander the Great, and from his time until the middle of the eighteenth century, indeed, almost to the present day, it has been constantly changing masters. The conqueror of the eighteenth century, Nadir Shah, was assassinated, and succeeded by one of his officers. Since that time the country has been independent, but her annals have been a story of anarchy, revolt, and warfare. In 1838, England restored an exiled shah. The result was a bitter war between the Afghans and the British, followed a few years later by a second struggle, in which the British were successful. An Afghan revolt was put down by General Roberts's march to Kandahar, which won for him his title of Lord Roberts of Kandahar. Since then the land had been practically under British control. In 1838 war broke out between Afghanistan and England. Four years later, the British army was destroyed while retreating through the Kurd-Kabul Pa ...
An Appeal to United Kingdom to return back our KOHINOOR…. In the month of Feb 21, 2013 the British Prime minister stated that that Kohinoor will not be returned back to India & it was illogical claiming for the return. All Encyclopedias says that Kohinoor was of the Indian origin & excavated from Kollur mines Andhra Pradesh, primarily it was in the crown of lord Shri Krishna as ‘Shymantak Mani’ later on it was moved in hundreds of hands & primarily the documented record came in light in Babernama, where it was in the possession of the Mughal King Baber & all his heirs possessed it, except Akbar directly. Before Mughals Kohinoor was in the treasure of Kakatiya rulers, the khiljis occupied it, after that all Sultans up to Ibrahim Lodi. Baber had gotten after his death. In 1739 A.D Nadir Shah took Kohinoor to Persia. In 1747 A.D Nadir Shah was assassinated & finally Maharaja Ranjit Singh ji captured Kohinoor again from his general Shah Suja Ul Mulk. In 1849 A.D Lahore was captured by the British & ...

Why Men are the weaker sex: THE one certain fact about this uncertain business called advertising is that you can’t do without it. Such compulsion does not mean this hit-and-run affair necessarily works. It is difficult to predict when a campaign will be a hit, and when the agency has merely run away to lubricate its salary sheet. The worst spiel in recent times was surely the advertising of a brief, and eminently forgettable, India-Pakistan cricket encounter last December. The agency was not promoting sport between traditional antagonists; it was announcing the consequences of an existentialist war with all the finesse of the massacre-friendly Nadir Shah on a Delhi weekend in 1739. Conversely, the best campaign I have seen in a long while has been the television advertisements which raised the curtain on the women’s cricket tournament: wry, tongue very much in cheek, and emasculating men with a pleasing insouciance. There is no mystery about why. Women’s cricket went well because the agency believe ...
IS India prepared for the fallout when failed state Pakistan collapses? – N.S. Rajaram "Whenever there was a weak state in the Punjab region, it has fallen before invaders from the northwest. This was the case when it was invaded by Darius, Muhammad of Ghazni, Timur, Babar and Nadir Shah. On the other hand, whenever the Punjab was part of a powerful state, it has turned back the invader. This is what happened when the Greeks, the Huns and Afghans in the time of Ranjit Singh tried to invade the planes." - Dr. N.S. Rajaram A strange thing happened in the week following Pakistan’s atrocities on Indian soldiers: Chiefs of the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force issued strong warnings to Pakistan while the Sonia-Manmohan-Rahul troika that is being held up as UPA’s top leadership was nowhere in sight. Only later, much later did Manmohan Singh come up with the feeble response “Business as usual is not possible” though no one could make out what it means. In the Indian setup the civilian government is ...

After partition India was supposed to be declared as Hindu Rashtra but Secular forces betrayed Hindus and today we Hindus do not have land to run and hide if Muslims chase us to kill. During almost thousand of year rule, Muslims destroyed about 60,000 Hindu Temples across India. Kashi, Mathura, Ayodhya temples were also destroyed by Muslims. Hindus were worshiping Lord Ram since 5,000 years BC. Islam did not even exist at that time and it came into being in 632 AD. Islam had propagated by killing Non-Muslims and raping their women after killing their men in 55 countries including India. Nadir Shah used to kill 30,000 Hindus in one day. Lord Ram has appeared many times during night and many Sadhus have seen Him. During Khilafat movement, in “Bhangee Colony” speech Mahatma Gandhi had said even if Muslims rapes and kills their women, Hindus should not object. Muslims outnumbered Hindus in Public Administration, Police and Army thanks to 30% reservation given to them. Gandhi and Nehru’s age-old Muslim p ...

Ramgarhia sikh (The founder of the Ramgarhia Misl was Jassa Singh,[3] of Guga village, near to Amritsar. He was the grandson of Hardas Singh Bhambra, who was initiated into the Khalsa faith by Guru Gobind Singh, from whose hands he took Amrit/pahul (the Sikh baptismal oath) and whom he served in battle. After the death of Gobind Singh, he joined the forces of Banda Bahadur and took part in almost every religious battle under his flag against the Mughal Empire. In 1716 AD, he died in a skirmish. After him his son, Bhagwan Singh became the head of the family, and with 200 followers entered the Imperial Mughal forces under the Governor of Lahore. Owing to his ability, he rose to be a distinguished officer. He died fighting for his master in 1739 at Lahore, when Nadir Shah invaded India and the Governor resisted him ineffectually. He had five sons, of whom the eldest, Jassa Singh, now became the head of the family. He was appointed a Risaldar by the Governor of Lahore, and the following villages were given to ...

Afgan Rule : 1752 - 1819 Ahmad Shah, a free hooter of Nadir Shah gladly accepted this offer and immediately despatched a strong and a powerful Afghan army under the command of Abdullah Khan lshik Aqasi, to occupy the valley. The Moghul satrap offered a strong resistance, but was defeated and the Afghan Governor planted the Afghan flag on the ramparts of Akbar's town at Nogar. The rule of Moghuls in Kasmir came to an end although it continued to exist in northern India, nominally upto 1857. Kashmir remained a dependency of Kabul rulers till 1819, roughly a period of 67 years. The Pathan rule is the darkest period in the history of our state. The rulers of Kabul were great despots, and they ruled all the parts of their kingdom ruthlessly and with an iron hand. The corner stone of their policy was terror. As many as twenty eight Durrani Subedars governed Kashmir during these sixty seven years. The Kashmir nobleman had expected that Abdali would give them a good and a stable government, but the very first Afg ...
1929 - 1933 (Rule of Mohammad Nadir Shah) Nadir Shah succumbed to the requests of the tribal leaders and pushed back many of the reforms King Amanullah had implemented. Nadir Shah banned Jarideh Zanan, the only newspaper at the time published by Afghan women. Nadir Shah was very careful not to upset the conservative tribal leaders.

As a result of Nadir Shah’s attack on India in 1739 A.D. and subsequently of Ahmed Shah Abdali in the fifties of the same century, Central rule weakened. Though Sindh was annexed to Nadir Shah’s empire, his rule was short-lived and his control over this province feeble. Again local forces asserted themselves and a branch of the Daudpotas known as Kalhoras rose to power in parts of Sindh. Their most powerful ruler was Nur Mohammad Kalhora. Another ruler of this line Ghulam Shah Kalhora founded the city of Hyderabad in 1768 A.D. on the left bank of Indus where there had been an ancient town of the name of Nerun.

The kings, through their brutal violence, are in power by killing, murdering, burning living people, by invading territories which do not belong to them. They make our history. Our history is nothing but the history of murderers. But once you call them great emperors – Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane, Nadir Shah, Ivan the Terrible, Napoleon Bonaparte – you forget completely that these are the greatest criminals of the world, and you are teaching your children about these great criminals. Your whole history is bunk. And then there are your so-called holier-than-thou people. Their holiness has nothing to do with spiritual experiences; their holiness has something to do with managed miracles. They are good entertainers and they should be paid for it, but not worshiped. They are not the superman of Zarathustra. They are not even higher men. And the pope who says that he was very intimate with God is a liar. Nobody has been intimate with God, because God does not exist. Zarathustra says God is ...

***Cricket News:- Ban fixers for life: Murali Singapore, Sat Oct 13 Anyone involved in spot-fixing should be banned for life, former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan told Reuters on Saturday, days after six umpires were provisionally suspended for allegedly agreeing to fix matches. The history of Arg ( Presidential Palace ) : Laid out after 1883 by Amir Abdur Rahman Khan on a site to the north of the historic citadel of Bala Hissar, the Arg or citadel took the form of a large fortress, with stone walls, towers and a wide moat. Several palaces and pavilions were constructed in the gardens that were laid out in this enclosure, including Kohte Baghcha, which served as the first museum in the country, the Gulkhana palace where official guests are received, the Salamkhana reception hall and the Dilkusha palace (now used as a Presidential office) built in the 1907. Several of these buildings were damaged during disturbances that led up to the abdication of King Amanullah Khan in 1929, necessitating repairs that were overseen by Nadir Shah (1929-1933) and continued by King Mohammad Zahir Shah (1914-2007). Re-named the Republican Palace in 1978, the Arg complex has since served as the residence of the head of the Afghan state.

The whole history is the history of murderers. If you become a murderer, fame will be very easy. You can become a prime minister; you can become a president – but these are all masks. Behind them you will find very violent people, terribly violent people hiding, smiling. Those smiles are political, diplomatic. If the mask slips, you will always see Genghis Khan, Timur Leng, Nadir Shah, Napoleon, Alexander, Hitler, hiding behind.-OSHO
