I however dont understand how former Kenyan first Lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta is ranked as one of the richest women in Africa South of the sahara and north of the river limpopo!! On the contrally Mama Miria Obote of Uganda and Mama Maria Nyerere of Tanzania are not rich. Again the former first son and current President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta is considered to be among the first fifty richest men in Africa where as the children of Ugandas and Tanzanias Founding Fathers are like their Mothers not rich!! If i may ask did Mzee Jomo Kenyatta have a personal gold mine or was he at the same time doubling being Head of State and being a businessman? Where did Uhuru and Mama Ngina get all those billions?

Kenya Power has listed Mama Ngina Kenyatta as its fourth largest individual investor, making the electricity distributor the only Nairobi bourse-listed company bearing her name on the shareholder list. Filings with the Capital Markets Authority show that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mother owns 2.2 million shares or a 0.11 per cent stake in the company, whose ownership is dominated by institutional investors like the Treasury and National Social Security Fund (NSSF). It’s not clear when she acquired the minority stake, which is small compared to the multi-billion-shilling investments controlled by the Kenyatta family in real estate, insurance, education, banking, manufacturing, farming and hospitality sectors. Very little is known about Mama Ngina, widow of Kenya’s first President, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, and has managed to keep a low profile as she presided over the vast family business. Her Kenya Power stake, currently valued at Sh37.7 million, has baffled analysts on reasons behind holding the minority ...

Uhuru Kenyatta is the fourth president of Kenya. Congratulations Mr President your mom Mama Ngina must be so proud.
I have historical evidence that Uhuru Kenyatta was not born in State House as many people claim. His mother conceived him in Maralal where she had gone to join Mzee and that was two years before we achieved independence. Mzee was living in a bungalow from 1959 awaiting release which was being championed by Oginga Odinga. Jomo was not in Sate House by then and you can't cheat me that the gestation period of Mama Ngina lasted for more than two years to enable Uhuru be born in Sate House!
