La Ronde in Montreal Quebec's monthly season pass is $11.42 /month + $7.99 service fee each for a family of 4. Where just 3 hours away in Lake George NY (Great Escape) It is $6.26 each /month for the same Gold pass... It can't be shipped or picked up at La Ronde... This is price gouging at best.. I am very disappointed.. That is nearly $280 difference /year...

On this day in 1760, in Montreal Quebec , Philippe de Rigaud de Vaudreuil 1698-1778 signed letters of capitulation surrendering Montreal and New France to Sir Jeffrey Amherst and Sir William Johnson with their force of 20,000 English troops, asks that his 2,000 soldiers be allowed to march out of the city with their guns and banners; Amherst refuses, and that evening, the flag of England replaces the fleur-de-lis at the Place d'Armes; the Chevalier de Lévis burns his battle flags to save his troops from the humiliation of surrendering them to the English; for years, the motto of Québec has been “je me souviens” (“I remember”). This, along with the defeat of the French at the hands of the English on the Plains of Abraham in Québec City, are among the things the people of Québec are exhorted to remember.
Drove from Ottawa, On to Montreal Quebec today. Not far in Milage but when you hit it in rush hour traffic it took us a good 5 1/2 hours to get to our campground? We crawled through most of the way.It is pouring rain here as well so sure hope it improves in the morning for our day of sight seeing in Montreal?? We are going on a tour so the guys will be able to enjoy the sights as well and not have to drive in traffic again until we head towards Quebec City!!! Hopefully we will miss the rush hour traffic on the way out!!!
