What does it take to sustain a marriage? Take the quiz below to measure how much it expands your knowledge and makes you feel good about yourself. The quiz was developed by Gary W. Lewandowski Jr., associate psychology professor at Monmouth University in New Jersey. Answer each question according to the way you feel, using the following scale. Answers range from (1) not very much to (7) very much. Then, add up your scores and check the scale below to see how your own relationship ranks. “have become one of the most important tools for citizens to get information about municipalities. A 2011 Monmouth University Poll showed that municipal websites are the first place New Jerseyans go for information about their hometowns. In fact, nearly 6-in-10 say they have looked up information about their town on the Internet – about the same number who say they have paid a visit to Town Hall. Moreover, Garden State residents are far more likely to visit a municipal website than to call or write a town official. There is a growing appreciation of how municipal websites can be critical tools to inform the public, create efficiencies in the provision of public services, and engage residents. This trend is also recognized by the state of New Jersey which requires that certain information, such as town budgets, be available online. Websites are vehicles to increase public sector transparency, facilitate open government, and increase public trust in government. They can also streamline citizen interacti ...

Search Girls SCT championship Final Panthers are challenging for Caseys Point Boro's Kelly Hughes is 55 points from the Shore's career record... Despite that thinking, Caseys head coach Joe Montano is well-aware of the threat that his opponent, Point Boro, provides. Simply put, the third-seeded Panthers (24-1) figure to be the toughest test to date for No.-1 seed Red Bank Catholic (23-1) when the two sides meet at 1 p.m. at the Multipurpose Activity Center on the campus of Monmouth University. Point Boro is through to the SCT final for just the second time, having played in the first final in 1972, a 37-27 loss to Brick. Conversely, Red Bank Catholic is no stranger at this stage of the postseason. The Caseys will b ...

West Long Branch — The former executive director of the Office of Recovery and Development Administration in New Orleans said New Jersey should resist the temptation to repair and “build smarter.” At the second panel at the “Rebuilding a Resilient New Jersey Shore” conference at Monmouth University, Ed Blakely said “This is a decade long process. This is not going to be over next year or the year after.“ Blakely said New Jersey should look at ways to build smarter institutions and neighborhoods and coordinate efforts across the state to get funding and rebuild. Blakely said FEMA will give the state money to repair, but start “thinking about getting money to rebuild and make it better.” In some cases in New Orleans, Blakely said the city didn’t take FEMA money because it was for repair.
