Monmouth University & Miles Austin
Monmouth University is a private university located in West Long Branch, New Jersey, United States. Miles Jonathon Austin III (born June 30, 1984) is an American football wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. /5
It was 14 years ago that Kevin Callahan the only football coach Monmouth University has ever known sat down at a Ramada Inn in Roselle Park with a talented athlete from Garfield High School named Miles Austin III and his parents, Miles II and Ann.
Always a pleasure seeing some of our founders and alumni last night as we watched Monmouth University take on St. Peter's in basketball with a monumental moment as former alum and current Dallas Cowboy, Miles Austin, retired his number at half time. Always an honor and a privilege brothers.
Dallas Cowboys WR Miles Austin will become the first Monmouth University football player to have his jersey retired. The Cowboys would save $5.5 million in cap space by making Austin a post-June 1 cut, which many expect them to do. For me, that will be a very bittersweet day. Don't get me wrong, I agree that the Cowboys should move on. Miles just hasn't been able to stay healthy, and his numbers last year, injuries or not, are unacceptable for a WR. Cutting him would also give younger guys like Williams, Beasley, Harris and maybe even a rookie, some more opportunities. Having said all of that though, Miles has been been one of our hardest working, humble players for a long time, as well as a tremendous teammate. He's also given us plenty of exciting memories. I was at the San Francisco game in 2011 when Romo played with broken ribs, and Austin's 3rd TD (the one where he stretched out at the goal line) is one of my favorite plays. If (or rather, when) he is cut, I wish him all the best wherever he ends up.
Hey, I like Miles Austin telling me he came from Monmouth University, New Jersey.
Miles Austin finally said he's from Monmouth University! About *** time.
Miles Austin said "Monmouth University" for the first time in like two years, usually says "Garfield, NJ"
I always find it funny whenever Miles Austin says Monmouth University in his introduction
I start tonight, Thursday, September 6, my third year as a professor of political science at Monmouth University. I am teaching a graduate course in Environmental Policy in the Fall Semester and an undergraduate course in Environmental Policy in the Spring Semester. I love teaching Environmental Policy, because I think my students benefit from learning about my real-world experiences as Regional Administrator of Region 2 EPA during the Bush Administration. I also am most proud of my association with Monmouth University and one of its famous alumni, Miles Austin, who scored the winning touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Opener tonight against the New York Giants.
