Just when you thought Republicans couldn't sink any lower. Get ‘em on record. Every last one of them. That’s what we need to do. Every single Republican presidential hopeful, Congressional leader, *** any Republican who is running for federal or statewide office this fall needs to answer the question of whether or not there is a “war on whites” being waged right now by President Barack Obama. From where could such a preposterous idea come, you might ask? Where else, but from a House Republican? “This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else...It's part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of things. Well that’s not true.” That's the truth according to Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama.

We paused which seemed like minutes but in fact were seconds and said that of course it has affected us personally. We all said that our personal monthly health premiums had increased substantially and deductibles had increased. The point that I am trying to make is that not one of us sitt ...

Working on our campaign. We are looking for national endorsements both public and private as we are a non traditional campaign and are both young entrepreneurs looking to get a fair shake at politics here in Alabama. Truth be told, Drew in my opinion (but maybe not his) is in both his private and public life moderate and some issues and further right or left on others. The bottom line is I am risking my reputation and safety to some extent (I have asked for a private security detail for us both, given the nasty nature of politics) and I took great risks in the military attempting to defend my country in the U.S. Army Reserves. I am proud of my short but spotty and somewhat classified service and you would be amazed what a difference some dedicated professionals can make in what used to be a normal life. Congressman Mo Brooks is wrong on this one. You don't need a $700 billion dollar millitary that's larger than the next 25 countries combined. Continually spending that much money is actually a THREAT to our nation's security. Is it true we will have less aircraft carriers? Yes. But that's a good thing! Aircraft carriers are large, slow moving, easy to hit targets... and they're expensive! They are the horses and bayonets of previous conflicts. Today, we have planes than can leave from America and strike anywhere in the world within a matter of hours. They can even refuel mid-air and stay in action for days! If that's not fast enough, we even have submarines and cruise missiles. But perhaps most importantly, it will dramatically help the economy to stop making weapons in the destructive sector, using taxpayer dollars, that will be soon be outdated should -- Heaven forbid -- another major war be fought anytime soon. Indeed, it will dramatically help the economy to put those smart, talented people to work in ...

Four years after oil accident, BP giving cash to Alabama politicians Nearly four years after an oil spill that killed an entire summer of tourism along the Gulf coast, the employee PAC for the oil company BP is dipping its toes in Alabama’s political waters again. A BP employee PAC, run by officials of BP, gave political contributions to Gov. Robert Bentley, House Speaker Mike Hubbard and six other members of the state Legislature in the two weeks after Christmas. Meanwhile, federal records show that the employee-funded BP Corporation North America PAC has donated to the campaigns of both of Alabama's U.S. senators since the oil spill, as well as four of Alabama's seven House members — though one of the recipients, Rep. Bradley Byrne, immediately returned the money. The donations, in amounts between $500 and $3,000, are tiny compared to the money given by some other PACs and corporations. But they may be a sign that politicians once again feel it's safe to be connected to BP, a company that became pol ...

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "'I hope New York Gov. Cuomo keeps talking. The more he talks the more job opportunities we'll have in 49 other states" - Congressman Mo Brooks on Remington expanding to Huntsville.
Gun maker Remington announced a plan to invest $110 million in a manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Ala., today — a clear signal to the ruling class in its home State of New York that it’s setting down roots in a political climate that values the 2nd Amendment. At the start of its lengthy, 24-State search for a new facility, Remington made it clear that its growing base of operations won’t affect its New York employees. But the company also made it clear that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s enthusiastic embrace of knee-jerk gun control legislation signaled a need for firearms companies to begin looking out for the future. A union official representing Remington employees admitted as much, telling The Post-Standard over the weekend the gun-grabbing political atmosphere in New York “can’t be good” for the company’s future there — even though it’s been a fixture in New York since 1816. “No question, it helps that we believe in the Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms,” said Alabama ...

USA 16 HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES CONSIDER IMMIGRATION REFORMS BILL GOOD FOR BUSINESSES BUT NOT FOR AMERICAN WORKERS AND ASKING PRESIDENT IT WILL BE HARMFUL IF 30 MILLION UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS ARE GRANTED PERMANENT RESIDENCY 10TH JANUARY 2014 A group of sixteen United Sates (US) House representatives consider Immigration Reforms Bill good for businesses but an awful deal for the US workers this Thursday. The Comprehensive Immigration Reforms Bill was passed by the US Senate last summer, however, it has been facing stiff opposition in the House of Representatives. The group also rejected a call from the US President Barack Obama to pass the immigration bill in the House. The group of sixteen representatives wrote a letter to the President Obama highlighting the concern that his immigration policies may have harmful affect on the US workers by granting permanent residency to about 30 million undocumented immigrants. Government employees flooded Alabama unemployment offices last week following the government shutdown. Furloughed workers apllied for unemployment benefits. About 275 had applied by mid-week. Meantime, the 532 members of Congress continue to be paid. It costs taxpayers more than $10,000 an hour to cover Congressional salaries. However, about 100 lawmakers have decided to refuse their pay or are giving their pay to charity during the shutdown. Alabama Representatives Spencer Bachus, Mo Brooks and Terri Sewell included.

The Freedom Index: A Congressional Scorecard Based on the U.S. Constitution rates congressmen based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements. The percentages below are cumulative scores are based on key votes from 1999 through 2013. I took the top voters from 80%- 100% from every state and I took those who voted 0%- 20% from every state. One or more states may have a person that has someone not in that percentage category and that is because there was only one more person left and that he or she was very close to the 20% so I went ahead and added them. If your state isn't here its because they didn't make the list either way.. I'm sure you all know what to do from here. President Barack Obama’s promise to send arms to rebel forces fighting against Bashad al-Assad alongside al-Qaeda operatives in Syria, has been met with much criticism from multiple Senate members. Senators from both sides of the aisle have come together to push legislation that would prohibit the President and the Pentagon from sending rebels any form of aid. Now, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and nine other House members decided to act by introducing legislation that would challenge the President’s decision by blocking aid that wasn’t previously authorized by Congress. Why are the retards @ Fox so quiet regarding the Oklahoma Disaster ?? Could it be: 67 Repoopblican who voted no for relief funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Friday, Congress finally approved a $9.7 billion package to pay flood insurance claims from Hurricane Sandy. The measure was supposed to come to a vote earlier in the week, but was tabled by House Speaker John Boehner, drawing much criticism from both Democrats andhis fellow Republicans alike. The measure passed unanimously through the Senate, but 67 members of the House of Representatives voted "no" to assisting people who were left, at best, powerless or homeless by a hurricane in November. All 67 are Republicans: Justin Amash (R-MI) Andy Barr (R-KY) Dan Benishek (R-MI) Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI) Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) Mo Brooks (R-AL) Paul Broun (R-GA) Steve Chabot (R-OH) Doug Collins (R-GA) Mike Conaway (R-TX) Tom Cotton (R-AR) Steve Daines (R-MT) Ron DeSantis (R-FL) Scott DesJarlais (R-TN) Sean Duffy (R-WI) Jeff Duncan (R ...
Another reminder that federal aid and first responders will always be needed, whether it's in New York City, New Orleans, Joplin, Seaside Heights, West, Boston, Oklahoma City, or where ever the next incident occurs. Cities and states are not islands unto themselves...we do rely on each other on a national level...especially you, red states, who take in more subsidies and federal aid than you pay in taxes. Hazardous search and rescue, clean up efforts and rebuilding are collaborative efforts...no, you won't rebuild that yourself...and it's time for tea party and red state senators and congressmen/women to realize that. I'm looking at you, Tom Coburn (R-OK), who filibustered the 9/11 first responders healthcare bill. I'm looking at you Paul Ryan, Ted Cruz, Mo Brooks, Ted Yoho, Ron DeSantis, Steven Palazzo, John Fleming, Mac Thornberry, Randy Weber, Kenny Marchant, Sam Graves, Louie Gohmert, Bill Flores, Mike Conaway, and Jim Bridenstine (R-OK)...all red state republican congressmen who voted against Hurr .. ...

On WAFF Channel 48 in Huntsville right now, they're doing a special half hour on "the effects of sequestration." Just did a 10 minute interview with Mo Brooks that should have been titled: "Channel 48 gives Mo Brooks A *** " Brooks is trying to STOP the pain by co-sponsoring a bill that would repeal health care reform to support defense contractors and corporate jet owners? Really???
more economic freedom. “Not surprisingly, congressional Democrats and Republicans performed starkly differently on the scorecard. While the House passed many important substantive and procedural reforms, the Senate showed a poor free-market voting pattern and stopped these reforms from seeing the president’s desk.” Americans for Prosperity is a nationwide organization committed to advancing economic freedom and opportunity, and promoting the belief that reducing the size and intrusiveness of government is the best way to encourage productivity and prosperity. While just one senator received an A+ rating, 18 members of the House got a perfect score from AFP, all of them Republicans. Of the 18, 15 are still in the House: Mo Brooks (Ala.), Steve Chabot (Ohio), Trent Franks (Ariz.), Scott Garrett (N.J.), Tom Graves (Ga.), Bill Huizenga (Mich.), Jim Jordan (Ohio), Raul Labrador (Idaho), Doug Lamborn (Colo.), Tom McClintock (Calif.), Patrick McHenry (N.C.), *** Mulvaney (S.C.), Randy Neugebauer (Texas), . ...
Boehner insists that sequestration is Obama's fault but the congressmembers who leading the opposition to it when Boehner rammed it through Congress were progressive Caucus leaders Raul Grijalva, Keith Ellison, Donna Edwards, Chellie Pingree, Jim McDermott, Dennis Kucinich, John Lewis, Jerry Nadler, Barney Frank, Jan Schakowsky, Xavier Becerra, Judy Chu, Ed Markey, John Yarmuth, Brad Miller, Yvette Clarke, Barbara Lee... and the Republicans who voted with them against this? Outliers like Ron Paul, Tom McClintock, Michele Bachmann, Todd Akin, Louie Gohmert, Paul Broun, Joe Walsh, Jeff Duncan, Mo Brooks, Lynn Westmoreland, Steve King, *** Mulvaney, Justin Amash, the freaks and loons that the GOP Establishment would like to muzzle and neutralize.

Mo Brooks defends vote against Sandy relief, prepares for tough term in DC
House Republicans scorn Sandy victims congress took just 10 days to approve $50 million in aid for Katrina victims in 2005. All of the no votes were cast by House Republicans, including failed GOP vice presidential candidate, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. Also voting NO were House members who hail from states that received billions in Hurricana Katrina aid, stingy pols like Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama; Rep. Steven Palazzo of Biloxi, Miss.; Reps. Ted Yoho and Ron DeSantis of Florida, and Rep. John Fleming of Louisiana. Paul Broun, Doug Collins, Tom Graves, Tom Price and Rob Woodall — all reps from hurricane-prone Georgia — also voted no. So did Joe Wilson, *** Mulvaney and Jeffrey Duncan, congressmen from oft storm-threatened South Carolina, and John Weber, who represents coastal Texas.

The House approved $9.7 billion in Hurricane Sandy relief funding Friday. The vote was an overwhelming 354-67. The bill needed 281 votes, or a two-thirds majority to pass. All 192 Democrats that voted supported the measure, but all 67 that voted against it were conservative Republicans (Interestingly, House Speaker Boehner did not vote). Most notable on the list of 67, Vice Presidential LOSER, Paul Ryan. The same Paul Ryan that has requested millions of non-emergency federal dollars for his Wisconsin District. Also on the list are plenty of members from states that have experienced national disasters, including wild fires, earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes: Alabama, Florida, Arizona, California, Missouri, Louisiana, Texas. All of these states have received federal emergency aid in the past, probably with the support of these members. Back in 2011,Rep. Mo Brooks from Alabama held town meetings to help tornado victims in his state to help his constituents "better understand their federal assistance righ ...
Just got off the phone with Congressmen Robert Aderholt and Mo Brooks. They are heading into a session with other House GOP members to get an update on the latest Senate negotiations. Both staunchly opposing any form of tax increases in the deal, even for those making over the newly suggested $400K threshold. Aderholt says, "We have a spending problem, not a taxing problem." Hope to have an update soon after they get out of conference.

Now that I'm recovering from my 14-hour workday (nearly 8 straight hours of it on-air), let me say it was a fun cycle for me. I covered several of the GOP primaries on location, the conventions and some of the debates; initiated our Battleground State Series polls; had great guests on the show like Sandra Fluke, Rocky Anderson, Jack Abramoff and Rob Zerban (who challenged Paul Ryan for his House seat); interviewed several of the presidential candidates including Jon Huntsman, Rick Santorum, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein; talked on-air with elected officials from across the spectrum, from Rep. Dennis Kucinich to Rep. Mo Brooks as well as U.S. Senators, governors, officials in both the Obama and Romney campaigns and many analysts, journalists and experts. I’m looking forward to actually getting back to talking about issues again… but it was a wild ride.
For the Congressional 5th District of Alabama (north of the Tennesseer River) Electiont here is Mo Brooks (R-incumbent) vs Charlie Holley(D)
I endorse the following for U.S House seats in Alabama. District two Martha Roby. District three, Mike Rogers. District Four, Robert Aderholt. District Five, Mo Brooks. I do not like district six Congressman Spencer Bachus at all, not at all, but would vote for him over his opponent. And in District seven, Don Chamberlain over Alabama's lone, very ultra liberal left -Democrat Congresswoman, Terri Sewell, that just can never say no to anything Obama ask for.
Congressmen urge Florence students to vote, continue their education By Robert Palmer FLORENCE — Two congressmen urged Florence High School students on Tuesday to study the issues in this year’s presidential and congressional elections, and vote — no matter which party they support. U.S. Reps. Mo Brooks, R-Huntsville, and Brett Guthrie, R-Ky., spoke Tuesday morning to seniors. Brooks represents much of north Alabama, including Florence, and Guthrie is a native of Florence who graduated from the former Bradshaw High School. Both men described what they believe are the most pressing issues the country faces — with a decidedly Republican slant — but never encouraged the students to vote for Republicans. The Democratic challenger in Brooks’ race, Charlie Holley, was not present. Guthrie said his family left Florence after the Ford Motor Co. plant in Muscle Shoals closed in the early 1980s in a national recession. He said many of his classmates had planned to work there, earning good wages and bene ...

I attended the Elkmont High School 100 Year Reunion today and carried Alabama Senate and House Resolutions of Congratulations, and a State of Alabama Flag that had been flown over our State Capitol in honor of this event. Senator Holtzclaw could not be present because of being out-of-state. He did send his greetings and congratulations by me. This was a great event for the Elkmont community, and for our entire County. I estimated that between four and five hundred people attended and all seemed to enjoy themselves. Rep. Mo Brooks and several other local dignitaries spoke and welcomed the crowd. John Carter was the master of ceremonies, but his red-headed sister, Vicki Dowd, was the main organizer. Both of the Carters and their children are graduates of Elkmont. I saw so many people there that I have known for years. and all my Compton cousins that make up most of the Elkmont population were there. Congratulations from Senator Holtzclaw and me to all those who assisted with making this such a successful an ...
To all of you who attended the "Meet and Greet" for Charlie Holley. I thank you. Charlie spoke to us tonight. I must say that I was on board for anyone running against the lying, rejecting his religion, unlikeable, uncooperative, party line statements "You want to help the deficit I'm certain the government will accept your check." MO you make me want to puke. He has alienated apparently all members of the House --- even the Tea Party. He has introduced bills that don't even get out of committee. What are we paying this *** Yet he still has the health care that he doesn't want the American Public from having. If you want to hear a totally genuine gentleman, contact me. I know we will fight an uphill battle. A battle starts with a first step. The Democratic Party has written off Alabama because of its recent racist policies. I used to be proud to be from Huntsville. Please Lord (and this is a very real prayer) let me be proud again. We don't need Mo Brooks in Congress.
Great show today. Finished up with Scott Rasmussen and Derryck Green of Project 21. Now playing our interview with Jay Wertz discussing D-Day. Tomorrow Congressmen Paul Gosar, Mo Brooks, and Jeff Kuhner of Washington Times.
