QUESTION: What if NBA Hall of Famers MICHAEL JORDAN and SCOTTIE PIPPEN (Chicago Bulls), HAKEEM OLAJUWON, MOSES MALONE, CHARLES BARKLEY, and Clyde Drexler (Houston Rockets), LARRY BIRD and BILL RUSSELL (Boston Celtics), OSCAR ROBERTSON (Milwaukee Bucks), ISIAH THOMAS (Detroit Pistons) and JULIUS ERVING (Philadelphia Sixers) were still playing in the NBA today? ANSWER: The ARROGANT Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will NEVER win an NBA Championship. These two ARROGANT players only won in a BORING period wherein there are NO MORE excellent NBA players.
Jones played at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, the same school that had produced Wilt Chamberlain a few years earlier. He played college ball at Villanova University. In his first NBA season, Jones played for the Baltimore Bullets and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team. The next season, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers where he would play for the next six years. Jones and Hal Greer were the starting guards on the 1966-67 76ers team that also featured Chamberlain, Chet Walker, Lucious Jackson and Billy Cunningham. That team went 68-13 during the regular season, then easily won three playoff series in dethroning the eight-time defending NBA champion Boston Celtics. Jones made the 76ers' starting lineup after Larry Costello tore his Achilles tendon on January 6, 1967. Later, Jones played for the Baltimore Bullets, Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks and Jones' son Askia is the third-leading scorer in Kansas State University basketball history and played briefl
Good morning, y'all! Today is the debut of the NBA regular season. There are 30 teams reaching for that one prestigious goal: the NBA championship! Out of 30 teams, 12 of the teams have African American head coaches. NBA Games on December 30, 2012 First game of the night on this 4 game night is the San Antonio Spurs against the Dallas Mavericks. This is my favorite rivalry, mostly because I live in Texas and these are my two favorite teams. The Spurs came out with the victory (their 2nd over Dallas this season) the score was 111-86. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Parker also added in 21 points and 9 assists. Elton Brand finally had a good game in a Mavericks uniform. He posted 14 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist tonight. Dirk had another cold night; he had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists on 3/9 shooting. The Spurs improve to 24-8 and the Mavericks fall to 12-19. Second game of the night was the Detroit Pistons against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pistons were hot after beating the defending champions last night and they won this close game, 96-94. Monta Ellis was a beast tonight; he had 30 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. MAGIC AT KNICKS, 7 P.M. ET March 28, 2012 · 6:24PM TV: ESPN * Carmelo Anthony (strained right groin) will play this evening despite still feeling some soreness on certain moves. After tweaking the same injury on Monday evening against the Bucks that cost him seven games last month, Anthony received treatment during Tuesday’s off day, this morning at shootaround and with two starters – Jeremy Lin and Amar’e Stoudemire — already out in the middle of a playoff race, Anthony has no intention of sitting. * The Knicks announced on Monday morning that Stoudemire will be out 2-4 weeks with a bulging disk in his lower back after receiving a second in opinion in Miami. The injury originally occurred on Saturday night in a win over the Detroit Pistons and Stoudemire sat out Monday’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks after the team said he would be out indefinitely. Both doctors agreed that the six-time All-Star forward should go with nonsurgical treatment and rehabilitation, including an epidural. The wors ...
