Game Day on my Birthday! Oh yeah. (@ American Airlines Center for Milwaukee Bucks vs Dallas Mavericks) [pic]:
Here are today's Must-Se Matchups: Key Game: Minnesota Timberwolves at Indiana Pacers: The Wolves will struggle against the houndig defense of Indiana, whose defensive effort will be led by Roy Hibbert. Can Rubio find a way to set up his team for good shots, or will the Pacers shut them down? -Milwaukee Bucks at Detroit Pistons: Brandon Knight faces his former team, who is led by former Buck, Brandon Jennings. Brandon, try not to end up on Shaqtin' A Fool tonight. -Denver Nuggets at Dallas Mavericks: Denver was able to eek out a slim win over Dallas a couple of days ago. Can they do it again? -New Orleans Pelicans at San Antonio Spurs: Rising star Anthony Davis takes the court against future Hall-of-Famer Tim Duncan. As always, the Spurs have quietly taken up the top spot in the West. -New York Knicks at Portland Trail Blazers: The Blazers are on fire, winning ten in a row in nearly 6 years. Can they keep the fire going while they face Carmelo and his Knicks? -Jordan23
Good morning, y'all! Today is the debut of the NBA regular season. There are 30 teams reaching for that one prestigious goal: the NBA championship! Out of 30 teams, 12 of the teams have African American Head Coaches. They are Jason Kidd of the Brooklyn Nets, Mike Brown of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brian Shaw of the Denver Nuggets, Maurice Cheeks of the Detroit Pistons, Mark Jackson of the Golden State Warriors, Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers, Larry Drew of the Milwaukee Bucks, Monty Williams of the New Orleans Pelicans, Mike Woodson of the New York Knicks, Jacque Vaughn of the Orlando Magic, Dwane Casey of the Toronto Raptors, and Tyrone Corbin of the Utah Jazz. Only Doc Rivers has a ring when he won the title in 2008 when he coached the Boston Celtics while Jason Kidd is the only coach who won a title as a player when he did it in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks. Brian Shaw finally got a Head Coaching job that was long overdue. Since he was in the shadow of legendary coach Phil Jackson, he should b ...
New York Knicks center Kurt Thomas born in Dallas, Texas. Thomas began his NBA career with the Miami Heat from 1995 to 1997. He then played for the Dallas Mavericks in the 97–98 season. New York Knicks (1998–2005) Thomas played seven seasons with the New York Knicks from 1998 to 2005, during which the team went to the playoffs four times, including two trips to the Eastern Conference Finals (1999 and 2000) and one trip to the NBA Finals (1999). Phoenix Suns (2005–2007) Thomas played two seasons with the Phoenix Suns from 2005 to 2007. Seattle SuperSonics (2007–2008) On July 20, 2007, Thomas, along with the Suns' first-round draft choices in 2008 and 2010, was traded by the Suns to the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for a conditional second-round draft choice and an $8 million trade exception. San Antonio Spurs (2008–2009) Thomas was traded by the Sonics to the San Antonio Spurs on February 20, 2008, for Francisco Elson, Brent Barry, and a 2009 first round draft pick. Lakers FA news: ⓞ Lakers looking forward to sign former Laker Matt Barnes ⓞ Chris Copeland nearing to sign with the Pacers. ⓞ Jose Calderon signs with the Dallas Mavericks ⓞ OJ Mayo signs with the Milwaukee Bucks ⓞ Dwight Howard 50-50 to re-sign or to go with Houston. -KB24

The Los Angeles Clippers had discussions with both the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks about a possible trade involving Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe, multiple media outlets reported.
So, here's what I would do with the Milwaukee Bucks. I'd do a sign and trade for Brandon Jennings to the Dallas Mavericks and take back Shawn Marion and his contract they are trying to get rid of and they 1st round draft pic 13th overall. If Monta Ellis opts to stay in, I will trade him too... I'd try to pair him and the pick received from Dallas for Phoenix Suns 5th overall draft pick and Channing Fry, who is injuried and will likely retire, if not can help us as a stretch 4 and clear the cap room for Monta. If he opts out, I'd stand pat with the pics I have. I would NOT resign J.J. Reddick for more than 7 Million a year. But I would definitely Amnesty Drew Gooden, taking his money off the books. If we manage to get the Sun's pic, thats simple. Take Trey Burke with the 5th overall pick and then with our 15th Jamal Franklin who I believe will be the steal of the draft. If we can only get the Dallas pick, take Dennis Schroeder with the 13th and Jamal Franklin with the 15th. DO NOT GET A NEW Head Coach UNTI ...
I chose the Dallas Mavericks to win against the Milwaukee Bucks on the Sports Picks App. Prove me wrong.
Friday Forum-NBA-A very quite trade deadline yesterday. Only moves did not add up to much. Locally, the Hawks traded guard Anthony Morrow to the Dallas Mavericks for forward Dhanty Jones. The Orlando Magic traded J.J. Reddick to the Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics obtained guard Jordan Crawford for the injured guard Leandro Barbosa and center/forward Jason Collins. The New York Knicks traded swingman Ronnie Brewer to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
IT COULD HAPPEN, AND I THINK I'D LIKE OPTION 2B!! 2a. SF Shawn Marion, SG Dahntay Jones and SG Dominique Jones from Dallas Mavericks to Atlanta Hawks for SF Josh Smith 2b. SF Vince Carter and PG Darren Collison to Milwaukee Bucks for Brandon Jennings and Tobias Harris [+] Enlarge Gary Dineen/NBAE via Getty Images Pairing Jennings and Mayo could create Dallas' backcourt of the future.View this however you like -- as two separate trades or a two-part trade. Regardless, this is the course of action Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban could take to rebuild his team, and Head Coach Rick Carlisle will be the key. Having played under Carlisle, I can attest to the man's ability to get the most out of his players. He's among just four current coaches to have won an NBA title. That's elite company. Cuban struck out in free agency this past offseason, failing to acquire Deron Williams via free agency and Howard by trade. Would he have to overpay to bring Smith and Jennings to Dallas? Perhaps. While many industry insid ...

NBA Games on December 30, 2012 First game of the night on this 4 game night is the San Antonio Spurs against the Dallas Mavericks. This is my favorite rivalry, mostly because I live in Texas and these are my two favorite teams. The Spurs came out with the victory (their 2nd over Dallas this season) the score was 111-86. Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Parker also added in 21 points and 9 assists. Elton Brand finally had a good game in a Mavericks uniform. He posted 14 points, 10 rebounds and 1 assist tonight. Dirk had another cold night; he had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists on 3/9 shooting. The Spurs improve to 24-8 and the Mavericks fall to 12-19. Second game of the night was the Detroit Pistons against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pistons were hot after beating the defending champions last night and they won this close game, 96-94. Monta Ellis was a beast tonight; he had 30 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. Great game for him. Greg Monroe had a good game with 14 points, 10 ...
Here are today's Must-See Matchups: -Atlanta Hawks at Philadelphia 76ers- The game is already underway, but check it out. Spencer Hawes has to compete against Al Horford in the key. -Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics- The highest scoring backcourt duo (consisting of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis) will attempt to overpower Rajon Rondo and the Celtics. -Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks- The Bulls look to hand the Knicks another loss. Will Joakim Noah have a stellar performance? Or will Carmelo steal the show? -Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies- OJ Mayo visits his former team. The Grizzlies have been amazing so far, while the Mavs have seemingly floundered without Dirk. -New Orleans Hornets at San Antonio Spurs- Two draft picks clash in San Antonio tonight. Will the young of the Hornets play a role tonight, or will the Spurs show them age is just a number? -Jordan23
The Miami Heat won against the Milwaukee Bucks in OT to capture solo 2nd spot in the standings, the New York Knicks took their second loss versus the Dallas Mavericks, and as we speak the LA Lakers is battling the Sacramento Kings and it might be the 1st loss of Mike D'antoni after taking over as Head Coach of the Lakers hehe. =P

Dallas Mavericks assistant coach Terry Stotts has emerged as a candidate for the Portland Trail Blazers' Head Coaching vacancy, an NBA source confirmed Sunday to ESPNDallas.com.The Oregonian reported that Stotts, the Mavs' offensive coordinator, interviewed with new Portland general manager Neil Olshey on Tuesday and is likely to get a second interview.Stotts is one of several assistant coaches who have reportedly interviewed or been in contact with the Trail Blazers, including Golden State's Michael Malone, Chicago's Adrian Griffin, Phoenix's Elston Turner, Atlanta's Lester Connor, Indiana's Brian Shaw, Memphis' David Joerger, San Antonio's Mike Budenholzer, former New York assistant Phil Weber and ex-Orlando assistants Patrick Ewing and Steve Clifford.Stotts, 54, has a 114-168 record as a Head Coach, having spent parts of four seasons at the helm of the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. His best season came in 2005-06, when the Bucks went 40-42 and lost in the first round of the playoffs.

Immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he started slowly but has blossomed into a top player in the league. Has risen to t...
