Fredette surprises Knicks fans, signed with a Playoff-bound team in Chicago by Jay-R Bayon-on May Thought that after Jimmer Fredette reach a buyout with Sacramento, he is bound to be a Knick. But Knicks fans were shocked when Fredette signed with the Chicago Bulls. Sources said that Fredette officially cleared waivers Saturday and has agreed to sign with the Bulls for a prorated portion of the veteran’s minimum contract. Fredette is shooting a career-best 49.3 percent from 3-point range and is expected to attend Sunday's matinee against his former suitor, the Knicks. BYU Standout Fredette became a nationwide phenomenon during his time at BYU, averaging 28.9 points per game in 2010-11 and winning all three major NCAA Player of the Year awards: the AP, John Wooden and James Naismith. He was selected No. 10 overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks and immediately traded to the Kings in a three-team draft-night deal. But the collegiate scoring sensation never gained the trust of the coaching sta ...
QUESTION: What if NBA Hall of Famers MICHAEL JORDAN and SCOTTIE PIPPEN (Chicago Bulls), HAKEEM OLAJUWON, MOSES MALONE, CHARLES BARKLEY, and Clyde Drexler (Houston Rockets), Larry Bird and BILL RUSSELL (Boston Celtics), OSCAR ROBERTSON (Milwaukee Bucks), ISIAH THOMAS (Detroit Pistons) and JULIUS ERVING (Philadelphia Sixers) were still playing in the NBA today? ANSWER: The ARROGANT Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will NEVER win an NBA Championship. These two ARROGANT players only won in a BORING period wherein there are NO MORE excellent NBA players.

Best-Case, Worst-Case Scenarios for Every Team in 2013 NBA Free Agency: Atlanta Hawks~ ~Best Case: Signing another top-end free agent to complement Paul Millsap. ~Worst Case: Losing Jeff Teague to Free Agency without acquiring a starting-caliber point guard. Boston Celtics~ ~Best Case: Do nothing, after losing Garnett, Pierce and Terry the Celtics are better-off doing nothing. ~Worst Case: Move Rajon Rondo in a sign-and-trade deal for a lesser talent with a longer deal. Brooklyn Nets~ ~Best Case: Convince a few mid-level free agents to sign discounted deals to help bolster the bench ~Worst Case: Do nothing, Brooklyn don't have a worse case scenario after gaining 3 of Boston's best players. Charlotte Bobcats~ ~Best Case: Convincing a talented, low-cost free agent or two to come to Charlotte ~Worst Case: Not much—after signing Al Jefferson, it's hard for the offseason to be considered anything other than a win Chicago Bulls~ ~Best Case: Figure out some way to acquire Monta Ellis from the Milwaukee Bucks ~ ...
Marco Belinelli has agreed to terms with the San Antonio Spurs on a two-year contract worth about $6 million, a person close to the situation tells Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal is not yet official. The move for the seventh-year guard from Italy gives the defending Western Conference champions extra backcourt depth and outside shooting. With the Chicago Bulls this past season, Belinelli had had worst shooting percentage since his rookie year, at 39.5% from the field and 35.7% from three-point range. Still, he played 25 minutes a game and was a major factor for the Bulls in the playoffs, with Derrick Rose missing the entire season. The Bulls opted to sign former Milwaukee Bucks guard Mike Dunleavy, Jr. to a similar two-year, $6 million deal rather than bring back Belinelli. For the Spurs, the signing of Belinelli is their third major move of the summer. The team agreed to re-sign center Tiago Splitter for $36 million over four years on Tuesday, a ...

Bulls-Bucks Preview While the Central Division-leading Chicago Bulls are surely glad to have leading scorer Luol Deng back, they're plenty excited about Jimmy Butler's recent emergence, too. His continued production could prove key during a six-game road trip. Butler looks to build on yet another outstanding effort Wednesday night as the Bulls begin their trek by going for a sixth consecutive road win over the Milwaukee Bucks. After receiving inconsistent minutes for much of the season, Butler broke out in a big way during Deng's five-game absence due to a strained right hamstring. The former Marquette standout averaged 14.2 points - more than double his season mark - and 8.6 rebounds while starting each of those contests. Butler returned to a reserve role Monday with Deng back, but he didn't miss a beat, posting a career-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting in a 93-85 win over Charlotte. "Jimmy is playing great for us right now. We need that," said Deng, who's averaging 17.3 points but scored 12 on 3-of-8 ...

We have a total of nine games tonight guys and only one will be nationally televised. NBA TV apparently thinks the game between the Suns and the Blazers is the most interesting game tonight, gotta say I couldn't disagree more. I would rather see the Bulls at Hawks game or the Lakers at Warriors game but that's just me. Anyways, here are the game schedules for tonight: Detroit Pistons at Washington Wizards at 7:00 ET Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks at 7:00 ET Utah Jazz at Miami Heat at 7:30 ET Indiana Pacers at New Orleans Hornets at 8:00 ET Memphis Grizzlies at Houston Rockets at 8:00 ET Cleveland Cavs at Milwaukee Bucks at 8:30 ET Charlotte Bobcats at Denver Nuggets at 9:00 ET Phoenix Suns at Portland Trail Blazers at 10:30 ET (NBA TV) LA Lakers at Golden State Warriors at 10:30 ET
Here are today's Must-See Matchups: -Atlanta Hawks at Philadelphia 76ers- The game is already underway, but check it out. Spencer Hawes has to compete against Al Horford in the key. -Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics- The highest scoring backcourt duo (consisting of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis) will attempt to overpower Rajon Rondo and the Celtics. -Chicago Bulls at New York Knicks- The Bulls look to hand the Knicks another loss. Will Joakim Noah have a stellar performance? Or will Carmelo steal the show? -Dallas Mavericks at Memphis Grizzlies- OJ Mayo visits his former team. The Grizzlies have been amazing so far, while the Mavs have seemingly floundered without Dirk. -New Orleans Hornets at San Antonio Spurs- Two draft picks clash in San Antonio tonight. Will the young of the Hornets play a role tonight, or will the Spurs show them age is just a number? -Jordan23

So far this weekend has been a great sports weekend for me. Yesterday the Chicago Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks. Notre Dame beat USC to secure a spot in the BCS National Championship game. Today the Chicago Bears defeated the Minnesota Vikings. The only thing that's left is for the New York Giants to beat the Green Bay Packers tonight. I thought I'd never see the day I'd cheer for the Giants. Go Giants.
