IF NIGERIA IS A FREE NATION RULED UNDER A DEMOCRACY AND NOT A NATION OF SERFS, WE HAVE WORK TO DO BEFORE THE ELECTION OF 2015. What to do: 1. Every Christian must be mobilized and educated about the real danger they face and so be constituted into a standing army of the faithful before the election. The battle before them is to come out and vote out any agenda or delegate of a cause that threatens their hope of peaceful and harmonious living. There is no law that says Christians cannot mobilize their group even for election. We have been too apologetic and the result is the pogrom we have allowed in the Church. We have a right to self-defence. 2. The Nigerian Christian community must decide collectively if they want to live to declare the glory of God (Psa. 116: 9) or to die, not according to God’s plan or will, but under the bullet of the enemy. If we choose life, then we must BARGAIN with our vote. For once, the Church must vote a government that will defend its freedom and corporate existence. 3. Bef ...

Ex: Jonathan Power. Subject: The West is threatening Russia. Date: July 29th 2014. What would the conservative president, Ronald Reagan, have done if the Ukraine debacle had happened on his watch? I suspect he would have made sure it didn’t devalue relations between the US and Russia. It wasn’t him nor his vice-president, George W.H Bush, who inflamed relations with a post-Cold War Russia, it was his successor the liberal, Bill Clinton, who, together with a supine EU membership, decided to expand Nato right up to Russia’s doorstep, despite a solemn US promise given personally to the Soviet president, Mikhail Gorbachev, by Reagan’s secretary of state, James Baker, that it wouldn’t. And today President Barack Obama won’t say clearly and out loud that the US doesn’t expect that Ukraine will ever join Nato, a move that could de-escalate the crisis faster than you could say: “At last Obama understands where President Vladimir Putin is coming from”. Here is the script for the ENFJ video. ENFJ Script ENFJs are often warm and kind-hearted people who derive great satisfaction from helping others. While they may be uncomfortable using impersonal logic to resolve a situation, their hands-on approach to a greater good is unmatched. The ENFJ’s first function is extroverted feelings, like the ESFJ. Extroverted feeling is a judging function which makes emotionally founded decisions oriented towards an exterior environment, often seeking to others. ENFJs usually have a strong sense of empathy and know how to bring out the best, or worst, in others. The ENFJ’s second function is introverted intuition, like the ENTJ. Introverted intuition is a perceiving function which fathers and organizes abstract information into a system. ENFJs might invest themselves into causes global in scale, see ing the needs of a greater community than that which might immediately surround them. They are sensitive to possibilities for growth in others and might work hard to foster ...
Uncle Sam doesn’t want you — he already has you : The militarized realities of fortress America 14 June, by William J Astore I spent four college years in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and then served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. In the military, especially in basic training, you have no privacy. The government owns you. You’re “government issue,” just another G.I., a number on a dogtag that has your blood type and religion in case you need a transfusion or last rites. You get used to it. That sacrifice of individual privacy and personal autonomy is the price you pay for joining the military. Heck, I got a good career and a pension out of it, so don’t cry for me, America. But this country has changed a lot since I joined ROTC in 1981, was fingerprinted, typed for blood, and otherwise poked and prodded. (I needed a medical waiver for myopia.) Nowadays, in Fortress America, every one of us is, in some sense, government issue in a surveillance state gone mad. Unlike the recruit ...
The new age movement is the most deceptive and damaging philosophy around today. It is entwined not only in witchcraft and Satanism, it is prevalent in all denominations of what the world calls Christianity. The belief system is deeply rooted in Eastern Mysticism and the Occult. Followers are told to awaken their God consciousness thru Transcendental Meditation, Yoga, Hypnosis, visualization etc.. What most do not understand is, this is the same thing Satan said in the Garden of Eden to Eve. "You will be as Gods" (Genesis 3:4,5). No one is a god. What is the "New Age Movement"? Is it a world beast power in the making? Briefly, the New Age Movement is not a new cult or an organization but a philosophical direction which blends ideas from many Eastern cults and religions with ancient pagan backgrounds. New Ageism is a major thrust in the developing "one world religion." The power and prevalence of New Age ideas permeate the world, including Christianity and most other religions. Few in the religious scene h ...

OpEdNews Op Eds 6/14/2014 at 11:08:12 Indications that the U.S. Is Planning a Nuclear Attack Against Russia On Wednesday, June 11th, CNN headlined "U.S. Sends B-2 Stealth Bombers to Europe," and reported that "they arrived in Europe this week for training." Wikipedia notes that B-2s were "originally designed primarily as a nuclear bomber," and that "The B-2 is the only aircraft that can carry large air-to-surface standoff weapons in a stealth configuration." In other words, the primary advantage of the newer, "Stealth," version of B-2, is its first-strike (or surprise-attack) nuclear capability. That's the upgrade: the weapon's ability to sneak upon the target-country and destroy it before it has a chance to fire off any of its own nuclear weapons in response to that "first-strike" attack. The advantage of Stealth is creating and stationing a nuclear arsenal for the purpose of winning a nuclear war, instead of for the goal of having continued peace via "Mutually Assured Destruction," or MAD. Heath Slater vs. Rusev w/ Lana Before the match begins, Lana takes a microphone. The crowd chants for the USA, but she tells them to shut up and listen. Lana then says America lives in a nation founded by weaklings whose insecurities are symbolized in their faded American colors. American men blindly worship lack of conviction in leadership. They aren’t worthy enough to be called men, especially when compared with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The time is approaching when the emasculated nation will be forced to drop to its knees. Its monuments will crumble and new ones will be put in its place. Mount Rushmore is then shown with Vladimir Putin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Vladimir Lenin, and Rusev on it. Rusev then tells them not to chant for the USA before saying resistance is futile. He is the super athlete, Rusev. Heath Slater then takes the microphone, and he says week after week, they talk about how good Russia is. If they like it so much, then they should just go back because he’s sick and tired of h ...
YOUTH DAY : TRANSCRIBING THE REVOLUTIONARY MIND OF COMRADE TEMBINKHOSI ON ROBBEN ISLAND I met a young, very sharp Comrade Thembinkhosi with a very thick book titled "The Arms of Krupp" in 1989 on the sportsfield of D-Section on Robben Island. In stark contrast to the festive atmosphere of the day's soccer game between D and F Sections, he hunched in intense concentration on the spectator side of the field studiously making copious notes about the historical relationship between the rise of Nazi Germany and the arms company Krupp. Against the better judgement of other comrades who thought it unwise to disturb Comrade Tembinkhosi at such times, I asked him why he was not joining in the festivities. He told me he had a transcription deadline on the book which he had to complete. I ended up helping him by reading aloud amidst a cacophony comrades cheering their teams while he wrote frantically. And so began my introduction to the revolutionary practice and art of transcription on Robben Island. My second enc ...

Milenković began studying the violin with his father when he was three. Three years later, he made his debut as a soloist with an orchestra, and started touring extensively in 1984. In 1987, he performed for U.S. President Ronald Reagan at a Christmas concert in Washington, DC, United States. The following year, he played for Mikhail Gorbachev in Belgrade. In 1991, he played for Pope John Paul II, and in 1993, Milenković gave his 1000th concert in Monterrey, Mexico. After graduating from the University of Belgrade in 1994 (its youngest ever graduate), he was invited to study with Dorothy DeLay at Juilliard. He continued to tour with major orchestras and was named a faculty member of the Perlman Music Program in 2000. In 2003, he was named a faculty member of Juilliard's College and Pre-College Divisions, where he also serves as Itzhak Perlman's teaching assistant. One of his notable students there was Ryu Goto, now an internationally recognized violinist.

"Tear down this wall!'' Today in 1987: Pres. Reagan challenges Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev in Berlin.
“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! ”: On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan stood before the Berlin Wall, symbol of a totalitarian empire that robbed millions of basic human dignity and freedom, and delivered one of the great speeches of the twentieth century. More than a quarter century earlier, Sovietbacked East Germany had built the wall to keep its people from escaping Communist rule. Reagan, who knew his words would be heard on the east side of the wall, spoke directly to Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Behind me stands a wall that encircles the free sectors of this city, part of a vast system of barriers that divides the entire continent of Europe. . . . Standing before the Brandenburg Gate, every man is a German, separated from his fellow men. Every man is a Berliner, forced to look upon a scar. . . . n the West today, we see a free world that has achieved a level of prosperity and well-being unprecedented in all human history. Today is Thursday, June 12, 2014. On this date in American History: 1987 - At the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin, Germany, U.S. President Reagan publicly challenged Mikhail Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall. 2004 - Ronald Reagan was laid to rest in the underground vault at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. “We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” -- Ronald Reagan, June 12, 1987 From the NFRW Americanism Committee

I do not get how some people must get up and down five times and go back and forth in front of the band at school band concerts. Are we really at that point in society where people can't be expected to commit to 45 minutes of sitting down in their seats and watching the show? I mean they know when they go in that it is a concert and the expectation is to sit and down and watch the show. Right? What is so incredibly important that they can't not get up and leave, then come back, then get up and leave again, then come back? I am beginning to believe the ability to focus on what is going on in front of you is linked to IQ. I remember once in college, the former President of the former Soviet Union (yes Mikhail Gorbachev) spoke at our University and it was much the same thing. Students getting up out of their seats and running back in forth in the middle of the man speaking. I have to say, the impression based on my observation of the "students" doing this was that they were not the top of their clas ...

Imam Khomeini (r.a.)'s Letter to Mikhail Gorbachev Study Islam, Khomeini Suggests to Gorbachev Reuters, Published: January 05, 1989 Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini told Mikhail S. Gorbachev, the Soviet leader, in a letter delivered today that Communism was dead and that he should study Islam. The Teheran radio said the letter, Ayatollah Khomeini's first major message to a foreign leader, had been handed to Mr. Gorbachev by the Iranian leader's personal envoy, Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli, who later left Moscow for home. The radio quoted Ayatollah Khomeini's son and chief aide, Ahmad, as saying the message praised Mr. Gorbachev's boldness in changing the Soviet system. ''It is clear to everyone that Communism should henceforth be sought in world museums of political history,'' Ahmad Khomeini quoted the message as saying. ''Materialism cannot save humanity from the crisis of disbelief in spirituality, which is the basic affliction of human societies in the West and the East.'' The son added, ''Then the honor ...
Francis Frangipane: The Unshakable Kingdom Francis FrangipaneWhen the Earth Shakes Over the past 15 years it has become hard to be unaffected by the massive earthquakes that have rocked our planet. In December 2004, the great South Asian tsunami roared along the Indian Ocean, striking the coastlines of nine nations. More than 250,000 people died, and millions more were left grieving and homeless. Scientists tell us that not only did this great disaster change the landscape of Asia, but it also actually caused the planet to wobble on its axis. Nine and a half months later, in October 2005, another devastating quake struck, this time in the Kashmir region of Pakistan. It killed nearly 80,000 people. Millions again were left without homes or shelter. Then, along with quakes in Chile and New Zealand, the horrific Haitian earthquake struck and another quarter million lives were lost. Lastly, a huge 9.0 quake and subsequent tsunami struck the northeast coast of Japan, raising the specter of a nuclear meltdown a ...

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart, reprinted in 1992 with revisions. It is a ranking of the 100 people who, according to Hart, most influenced human history.[1] The first person on Hart's list is the Prophet of Islam Muhammad,[2] a selection that generated some controversy.[3] Hart asserted that Muhammad was "supremely successful" in both the religious and secular realms. He also believed that Muhammad's role in the development of Islam was far more influential than Jesus' collaboration in the development of Christianity. He attributes the development of Christianity to St. Paul, who played a pivotal role in its dissemination. The 1992 revisions included the demotion of figures associated with Communism, such as Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, and the introduction of Mikhail Gorbachev. Hart took sides in the Shakespearean authorship issue and substituted Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford for William Shakespeare. Hart also substituted Niels Boh ...
Cold War Obama-Style So Much Danger, So Little Resistance By Andrew Levine May 17 2014 "CP" - Is a new Cold War looming? It seems so. This shouldn’t be happening, but it is. The confusion that followed the end of the old Cold War is one reason why. That confusion has been a problem for the anti-imperialist left. While the Cold War was on, there was seldom any need to fall back on principles. Then it was easy for right thinking, well-informed people to side with insurgencies fighting imperial domination; that was what common decency required. This has not been the case in recent years. The empire’s stewards in the Obama administration and in the military-national security state complex are taking full advantage. So are ostensibly independent NGOs. It is a risky business – made all the riskier by the cluelessness of the principals. On Team Obama, they know not what they do. There is a more general problem as well: navigating one’s way through the present, as events unfold, is bound to seem co ...

Oliver Stone weighs in on with words of wisdom from Mikhail Gorbachev.
Oliver Stone gives a thoughtful account of his meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev, providing insight into the circumstances that have led to the current crisis in Ukraine and exploring the paranoid, cold-warrior mentality that turns opportunities for peace into occasions for recreational danger and irrational conflict.

Friday's Wine Time Thoughts... "The likes of David Rockefeller, George Soros, George HW Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Barack Obama, *** Cheney, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and even George Bush Jr., and many others, who on the surface appear to be of significant difference (oh that left-right ruse), have stated boldly and without hesitation, their common commitment to the 'New World Order' (their term)-- a long-planned global central government with all nations subservient. In other words, a commitment to global tyranny. They have stated, in so many words and phrases, that the United States of America needs to get on board with this inevitable end game. To this end, George W Bush--of all supposed protectors of our freedoms--started the Security and Prosperity Partnership in 2005 to lay the groundwork for the integration of the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including a supranational legal, economic, transportation, currency, military, and social structure*. President Obama continues this effort today. However, milli ...

Mikhail Gorbachev Founding President Mikhail Gorbachev - Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former President of the USSR - is the Founding President of Green Cross International, which he established in 1993 in response to the 1992 Rio Earth Summit call to create a “Red Cross for the environment”. Mikhail Gorbachev was born on 2 March 1931 in the village of Privolnoye, Krasnogvardeisky District, Stavropol Terrritory, in the south of the Russian republic to a peasant family. A trained lawyer, Mikhail Gorbachev entered into politics at an early age, rising fast through a variety of Komsomol positions between 1955-78 in the Stavropol Territory, and taking on, in 1970, the region’s highest post of First Secretary. In November 1978 he became a Central Committee Secretary and moved to Moscow. His first assignment was overseeing the country's agriculture but soon started to influence other areas of the Central Committee's activities. Two years later he joined the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee, the hi ...

Motherhood By Khalid Baig In April, President Clinton gathered an army of former presidents, state governors, city mayors and hundreds of prominent people from all 50 states to address one of the most pressing problems facing America today. He brought former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Colin Powell, to lead this army. Their task: Solve the problem of 15 million young Americans who are considered at-risk youth. "They are at risk of growing up unskilled, unlearned, or, even worse, unloved," said Powell, who was appointed chairman of President's Summit for America's Future. The problem has "the potential to explode our society," he warned. He was not exaggerating. 15 million in a total population of about 60 million youth is a huge number. Mostly they come from dysfunctional families and fall victims to the "pathologies and poisons of the street." Every year 3.4 million of them try drugs. Half a million attempt suicide. A lot of them will drop out of high school and will be functionally illiterate ...

Mahatma Gandhi Anecdote - on Vegetarianism Gandhi and the goat's meat When he was thirteen, Gandhi got married to a girl of the same age. The two were extremely fond of each other. When Gandhi was about eighteen, he wanted to go to Europe to continue his college studies. By that time, his father had died and his mother was in charge of his life. Gandhi's relatives also wanted Gandhi to go to Europe and they requested his mother to send her son. But she was very worried. She said, "No, no. If I send him to Europe, he will be ruined. Now he is so close to me. There he will start drinking, eating meat and mixing with women." Gandhi promised his mother that he would not drink, eat meat or mix with women, and he did keep his promise. After getting his degree in law, he came home. On his return he found that his mother had died. Gandhi had a Muslim friend who always tried to persuade him to eat meat. "No," Gandhi would answer him, "Hindus don't eat meat, especially my caste. My ancestors never ate meat." But th ...

Putin was Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2007.[261] In April 2008, Putin was put on the Time 100 most influential people in the world list.[262] In 2013, he was ranked as the world's most powerful person according to Forbes.[263] Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev credited Putin with having "pulled Russia out of chaos",[264] but has also criticized Putin for restricting press freedom and for seeking a third term in the presidential elections. Criticism of Putin has been widespread especially over the internet in Russia,[265] and it is said that the Russian youth organisations finance a full "network" of pro-government bloggers.[266] In the U.S. embassy cables published by WikiLeaks in late 2010, American diplomats said Putin's Russia had become "a corrupt, autocratic kleptocracy centred on the leadership of Vladimir Putin, in which officials, oligarchs and organised crime are bound together to create a virtual mafia state."[267][268] Putin called it "slanderous".[269]
The History of Crimea It is important to understand the history of Crimean peninsula if we want to understand the current context as to what is happening as far as Ukrainian crisis is concerned. With its strategic position dominating the Black Sea and its unstable ethnic mix, it’s not surprising that the Crimea is often called a tinderbox. It has long been central to Russia’s sense of itself as a great naval power even during the past two decades when the peninsula has formally belonged to Ukraine, a separate country. After the break-up of the Soviet Union, arguments over the division of the Black Sea Fleet between Russia and the fledgling Ukrainian state were seen as likely to spark a war. The Russians kept their ships at Sevastopol,a port in Crimea. Russian sailors kept the base as a down-at-heel Soviet theme park. Ukraine was too poor, too corrupt and too disorganised to change the status quo. It was here that Saint Vladimir was baptised in 988, thus binding the early Russian state to Christianity. ...

Superb commentary on the current crisis, as played out through a meeting with the great Mikhail Gorbachev. The US Military-Industrial complex, that has such sway in government, is far more at fault for the current state of Ukraine due to the US insistence on decimating The USSR.
NATO – The Missing Context The essential and missing context concerns the fact that, back in the early 1990's when Mikhail Gorbachev agreed to the reunification of Germany, he got an explicit agreement from then US Secretary of State James Baker that NATO would "not move one inch to the East". Without ever renegotiating that agreement, NATO (quelle surprise!) proceeded to move into a dozen countries to the East over the following years. When it started making the move on the final piece of the chessboard -- the Ukraine -- Russia, understandably and for a number of reasons, was not too keen on that. We might consider Ukraine the final straw for a very patient Russia that did not resist as NATO steadily advanced East many millions of inches. Here's a recent map of NATO membership: On March 12 1999, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland joined NATO. Then, on March 20 2004, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia all joined. And finally on April 1 2009 Albania and Croatia joined. Now th ...

The history of successive authoritarian regimes in Russia reveals a recurring pattern: They do not die from external blows or domestic insurgencies. Instead, they tend to collapse from a strange internal malady — a combination of the elites' encroaching disgust with themselves and a realization that the regime is exhausted. The illness resembles a political version of Jean-Paul Sartre's existential nausea and led to both the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 and the Soviet Union's demise with Mikhail Gorbachev's perestroika. Today, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's regime is afflicted with the same terminal disease, despite — or because of — the seemingly impermeable political wall that it spent years constructing around itself. Putin's simulacrum of a large ideological regime simply couldn't avoid this fate. The leader's "heroic image" and "glorious deeds" are now blasphemed daily. And these verbal assaults are no longer limited to marginal opposition voices. They are now entering the mainstream media. Tw ...
