For those who missed it, here is my interview with Peter Doocy on Fox & Friends this morning, regarding the shadow of chaos creeping over the Middle East and limitations on our ability to target Al Qaeda...notable - in President Obama's "policy" speech on Iraq this past summer he mentioned that the endstate he sought in Iraq was similar to the one in Yemen...to believe this indicates to me how out of touch or criminally negligent the President is regarding national security matters. Lt. Col. Ralph Peters warned that the U.S. is “handing Iran an empire” because of President Obama's weak Foreign Policy in the Middle East. He added the president is “allowing Iran to set the terms of our engagement about Iranian nuclear weapons.” Do you think the president should take a harder stance against Iran? Watch and weigh in:
It was one year ago this week that President Obama dismissed ISIS as “jay-vee.” Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker told Megyn Kelly that the president continues to send “mixed messages” to our allies on who our enemies really are in the Middle East. Watch more and weigh in:
US Congress Speaker John Boehner invites Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu without consultations with White House and only calls White House this morning (10:00 am EST) on this invitation, of course for clearance with Immigrations as is the norm in diplomatic terms. According to news analysts, both US and international, this is a direct slap in the face of President Obama by the Republican lead Congress. An immediate retaliation to yesternight's State of the Union address. This is what my Dad calls giving the rope to the intending suicide victim to hang. It is not in dispute that the USA is Israel's strongest and in most cases only ally worldwide. The US leads and with this, draws in the support of other nations. To date, the Palestinian State has lodged a complained with the ICC for it to investigate crimes against humanity in the Middle East occasioned by Isreal. It is only the US government that has come out to strongly object to this stating that Palestinian State is none existing at the moment. Haven't he ...
My analysis on the State of the Union speech last night ... President Obama has gone through the five stages of grief with Congress over his two terms ... first is it was denial when Sen. Mitch Mcconnell said the only goal was to not let him get anything passed; anger when his health care reform was mocked and taken to the Supreme Court; bargaining with Republicans on center-right policies such as taking it easy on Wall St. and going to war in the Middle East; depression during the last election cycle staying in his room while none of his Democratic friends let him come out to play with them before they all got their *** kicked; and now acceptance -- putting out a bunch of proposals that likely have no chance of passing but are a huge middle finger to everybody who has slighted him over the years, including Republicans and Democrats in Congress. He was a gloating smartass last night. It was excellent TV, if nothing else.
THIS JUST IN. Washington (AP) 21 DEC 14 In a Rose Garden speech just concluded, President Obama has agreed to surrender all US military forces to Isis. "The U-S doesn't want any more trouble in the Middle East. We Americans have caused enough suffering to Muslims already. It's the Christmas. I mean Holiday season, and Americans want to show signs of peace and goodwill to our ragheaded bretheren. Besides, Isis represents oppressed people the world over. They are 'freedom fighters' and not psychopathic mass murderers as my Republican friends like to refer to them", the President continued, "if you LIKE your terrorists, you can KEEP your terrorists. Period. "Also, the Isis folks and their allies, Al Qaeda are really 'mean people what with all that beheading and all' and that's really gross, like the bathrooms at gas stations", said the President. "Therefore, today, as Commander-In-Chief of the American military, I am ordering our troops, especially those Navy Seals and Delta Force troglodyte types to lay dow ...
THE BUZZ Tale of the Tape: Comparing Chinese and American Strategies in Asia Dan BlumenthalEddie Linczer November 10, 2014 What does President Obama hope to achieve during his trip to Beijing for the APEC summit? How does he *** his ability to accomplish his China agenda? There is no shortage of issues to discuss with Xi Jinping. The two countries ostensibly share concerns about an unstable nuclear North Korea, Iran’s drive toward nuclear weapons, and the failing old order in the Middle East. But little progress has been made. While Xi talks about a “new-type of great power relationship,” he seems to mean the U.S. should come to China as a supplicant, as National Security Advisor Rice did recently, asking for China’s help on the Middle East—now of equal importance to Beijing and Washington. The presidential visit comes at a perilous time for Sino-American relations. Washington has not adequately answered China’s continued aggression toward Japan and Southeast Asian nations. Moreover, the ...
President Obama please stand strong. Those who are at your side know that you are still dealing with the mess created by the Bush Administration and the neocons who are trying to slow you down. Much has been accomplished here, our economy is much better, but much must be done for those who seek justice in the Middle East, especially the Palestinian people. The absent of justice is creating evil around us.
The Wall Street Journal reported today that President Obama recently wrote Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in an effort to promote U.S.-Iranian cooperation against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Although a number of pundits have called for closer U.S.-Iranian ties – in the form of a rapprochement, or even a “Persian pivot” – these proposals reflect mistaken assumptions about Tehran’s objectives in Iraq, Syria and the broader Middle East. The Foreign Policy Initiative is closely watching developments with Iran, and we suggest the following resources as policymakers, lawmakers, and the wider public debate what steps the United States must take next.

Editor's View Nations far from West Africa are scrambling to train health workers and screen people possibly infected with Ebola. But so far, only a handful of cases have been reported outside of Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Over the weekend, President Obama urged Americans not to give in to hysteria about the disease. While there have been public health missteps in the United States, those are likely to be corrected in the days ahead, given the depth of US resources. The real battle is in West Africa, where more than 4,500 people have died and the health-care infrastructure has been overwhelmed. While the United States, Europe, and private donors have pledged money and sent aid workers to the region, little help has come from the Middle East, Russia, Asia, and Latin America. Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf yesterday read a poignant “dear world” letter on the BBC, pleading for “global citizens” not to leave “West Africans to fend for themselves." To date, however, much of world ha ...

If he's not careful, President Obama is about to be sucked into a wider war in the Middle East.
Increasingly, the midterm elections are trending toward the Republican candidates throughout the nation. While some states are behind the curve -- for instance, North Carolina and Michigan -- many others show mounting GOP leads. Beyond disapproval of President Obama and his policies, the impetus for this trend lies in the renewed focus on national security, terrorism and Foreign Policy issues that have suddenly gripped the nation. A content analysis of the daily news shows that, with each beheading, the focus on the disastrous events in the Middle East grows. With attack helicopters now flying missions against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), we are, effectively, in our third Iraq War. Every issue has an innate and largely immutable partisan skew, and voters have come to see each as "belonging" to one party or the other. Only through great effort and massive expenditure can the other party win an edge on a given issue biased against it. Education, environment, poverty, Social Security, the elde ...
You know things are not going well for your Middle East policy when Jimmy Carter comes out swinging against you. Key passage: You know, President Obama... it's been hard to figure out exactly what his policy is. It changes from time to time. And I haven't been inside the council, and I don't have secret intelligence, and that sort of thing.
PPP for Monday: September 29: President Obama ordered multiple airstrikes against ISIS targets in Syria and Iraq last week. Administration officials say the U.S. is joined by a coalition of Arab nations including Jordan and Saudi Arabia in wiping out the terrorist threat. But many Americans are concerned that the next step is putting American troops on the ground in yet another Middle East War and they don't support it. There are already about 3,000 troops in the area with the mission of training local forces. President Obama says the U.S. "will do what is necessary to defend our country," but many people hope that doesn't mean sending US troops into combat. POWERLISTENERS: Would you support sending ground troops to the Middle East once again to fight ISIS terrorists, YES or NO?
US President Obama thanks the Aga Khan Development Network at the Clinton Global Initiative. I want to thank our partners in this effort, including the government of Sweden and the Aga Khan Development Network. Starting next year, civil society groups will be able to use these centers to network and access knowledge and technology and funding that they need to put their ideas into action. And we’ll start with six centers in Latin America, in Sub-Saharan Africa, in the Middle East and in Asia. Oppressive governments are sharing “worst practices” to weaken civil society. We’re going to help you share the “best practices” to stay strong and vibrant. … No matter how dark the hour, we remember those words of Dr. King: “The time is always ripe to do right.” And Dr. King also said: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” The reason we support civil society is because we have seen in this country of ours that it does, in fact, bend toward justice. But it does n ...
The Obama plan for the Middle East, can it work? President Obama is a smart man.He knows he is dealing with a very complex set of diplomatic initiatives in the Middle East which requires military action as well, to encourage diplomacy, but will that work? The players are shrewd, the stakes high, the area is flush with money and every major power in the world is focused on this area. The people are confused in the middle east. They don't like their present government because they do not share the wealth and they fear the new players who want to totally control their lives through Sharia Law. Obama and the west want them to become democratic like us, not happening. The area has not matured enough to become democratic, it is still lost in the middle ages. The people turn to religious zealotry or to Kings and dictators to make their lives secure and future stable. They look at the west and can only dream. Many come here and resettle and feel sorry for their brethren, but all they export is support for the sa . ...
Latest from Golan Heights Collapse of UN peacekeeping mission on Golan Heights marks new era on Israel-Syria front ARON HELLER The Associated Press Published Thursday, Sep. 18 2014, 3:58 AM EDT Last updated Thursday, Sep. 18 2014, 5:13 AM EDT For four decades, a multinational United Nations mission has quietly monitored the sleepy Golan Heights — providing a symbol of stability between bitter enemies as it enforced a truce between Israel and Syria. But as Syria has plunged into civil war and the peacekeepers themselves have become targets of al-Qaeda-linked rebels, the UN observer force has begun to fall apart, leaving its future — and the prospects for ever establishing peace in this rugged area of the Middle East — in doubt. Here's just about every word of Marin-Sonoma Rep. Huffman's press release from today. He was in the minority on a House vote to train and arm …. and train and arm and arm and train ... "Today I voted 'no' on the McKeon Amendment to arm and train so-called 'moderate' Syrian rebels as part of a broad new multi-year military intervention in Iraq and Syria outlined by President Obama last week. Today's vote was not...a choice between supporting the President's plan and simply doing nothing about ISIL. To be clear, I share President Obama's assessment of ISIL as a brutal terrorist organization, I support the goal of destroying them, and I believe there should be an American role in a broad, multinational response to ISIL. My 'no' vote today is because this plan for a new American-led war in Iraq and Syria is being advanced without a proper congressional authorization as required by the Constitution, and because I believe the strategic assumptions underlying the plan are deeply flawed. Frankly, we should know ...
Fred Sample 3 hrs · I would so like to take credit for this rant, but It's an article from Western Journalism... It does explain a lot that is in the news right now... In his prime-time speech to millions of Americans on the eve of the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, President Obama made a particular point of declaring that the Islamic State terrorists “are not Islamic.” Huh? The Islamic State is not Islamic... If this isn’t one of the most ridiculous statements ever uttered by an occupant of the Oval Office, I don’t know what is. How stupid does Obama think Americans are? That’s like saying that the Pope isn’t Catholic, or that Moses wasn’t Jewish. The Islamic State is not Islamic? Of course the Islamic State is Islamic. But such seemingly insane rhetoric can be expected from a man who refuses to show his college records that likely show he accepted a foreign student scholarship. And true to form, Obama dutifully claims that Islam is a religion of ‘peace’ rather than t ...
From Foreign Policy.com Full quote below “On the heels of President Obama's announcement that he will expand the American campaign of airstrikes against Islamic State militants, the outlines of the international coalition that will shoulder that burden began to take shape Thursday. But even as American diplomats worked furiously to sign up partners in that effort, key questions remain about the extent to which Washington's partners will participate in a campaign that administration officials have said could take as long as three years and see Western forces resume fighting in the Middle East. Secretary of State John Kerry traveled to Saudi Arabia Thursday for a summit meeting in Jeddah, where he secured support from a group of key Arab countries for a communiqué that declared a "shared commitment to stand united against the threat posed by all terrorism, including the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) to the region and the world." ISIL is another name for the Islamic State. The docu ...
BY ALAN HART In laying out his plans to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIS, President Obama said this: “America, our endless blessings bestow an enduring burden. But as Americans, we welcome our responsibility to lead. From Europe to Asia, from the far reaches of Africa to war-torn capitals of the Middle East, we stand for freedom, for justice, for dignity. These are values that have guided our nation since its founding.” There’s an old English, somewhat vulgar, four-letter word which in my view sums up that statement. CRAP. (The dictionary definition of it is “excrement, rubbish, dirt, worthless nonsense.”) An informed visitor from another planet who listened to Obama would scratch his head and say, “Has the president not heard about the occupied and oppressed Palestinians and their long struggle for freedom, justice and dignity?”

In his address to the nation today, President Obama doesn’t have to convince us ISIS is barbaric, a threat to the stability of the entire Middle East, or even a potential threat to the United States. He doesn’t have to convince anyone that air strikes on them both in Iraq and Syria are a good idea. Instead, he needs to explain what we must do if air strikes don’t work. Even more basically, he needs to explain his view of America’s role in the world – not only in Syria and Iraq but also in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Somalia, North Korea, and China. His Foreign Policy has lurched from one crisis to another without any guiding principle (as his Former Secretary of state has emphasized). That leaves Americans confused and unprepared to make whatever sacrifices are necessary. You agree?
On Fox News Sunday, Sen. John Mccain criticized President Obama for refusing to do stupid stuff in the Middle East. McCain said, "No more don't do stupid stuff." In other words, McCain claimed that the US can defeat ISIS by doing stupid things.
A recent report was published here this morning regarding Lt. Colonel Ralph Peters declaring Barack Obama suffered “psychological problems” that has him incapable of making the kind of decisions required of his job as President of the United States. Now this information comes via D.C. sources which outline a very brief, troubling, and bizarre phone conversation between British Prime Minister David Cameron and President Obama that left the Prime Minister’s staff stunned and baffled as to what could be going on with the alleged “Leader of the Free World.” The communication from British Prime Minister to the president is said to have been initiated at approximately 5:00 eastern time. (Which would also indicate the Prime Minister was working late into the night London time.) According to the published White House schedule for Tuesday, that would have put Barack Obama on Air Force One on his way to Europe. The Prime Minister was said to have to wait for nearly twenty minutes before the call was final ...
TRANSCRIPT OF THE Prime Minister THE HON. TONY ABBOTT MP STATEMENT TO PARLIAMENT ON IRAQ, PARLIAMENT HOUSE, CANBERRA Many Australians are understandably apprehensive about the risk of becoming involved in another long and costly conflict in the Middle East. The situation in the Middle East is indeed a witches’ brew of complexity and potential danger. Doing anything involves serious risks and weighty consequences. But doing nothing involves risks and consequences too. As things stand, doing nothing means leaving millions of people exposed to death, forced conversion and ethnic cleansing. So far this year, more than a million Iraqis have been driven from their homes. We have all seen on our screens the beheadings, the crucifixions and the mass executions. Peoples and cultures that have existed for millennia are faced with extermination. Thousands of women have been forced into sexual slavery. President Obama has labelled what is happening at the hands of the ISIL movement as a potential genocide. I refuse ...

I think the terrorist threat in US is mostly when the US has a weak reluctant president like Obama. Middle East matters not
While British Prime Minister David Cameron appeared self-assured and determined in his approach to ISIS on Friday, President Obama came across as a deer in the headlights, unable to outline a coherent U.S. response to a rapidly growing crisis in the Middle East.

MICHAEL WEISS Published: 27/08/2014 04:42 PM | Updated: 28/08/2014 03:25 PM Lies and liability: why the US should target both Assad and the IS in Syria As Obama scrambles for a Syria war plan, even regime supporters are starting to reject Assad's counter-terrorism narrative Last summer, as President Obama was strolling along the White House grounds with his National Security Advisor, Denis McDonough, contemplating airstrikes on the regime of Bashar al-Assad for its use of chemical weapons in the Ghouta district of Damascus, everyone who until then had professed confusion or ignorance as to the complicated nature of the Syria conflict became an expert on the subject overnight. A special focus was on the anti-Assad rebels’ perceived shortcomings and alleged extremist orientation. If America was to have another war in the Middle East, our media establishment would be damned if it was to be on “slam-dunk” pretenses or in the service of inscrutable beneficiaries. President Obama and the politicians and bureaucrats in Washington care more about power, wealth and their own selfish desires than they do about our country and its citizens. The Washington Establishment has created the worst recession since the Great Depression ... cut $700 Billion from Medicare under Obamacare ... destroyed our privacy rights by spying on every phone call, email and fax communication ... endangered our Constitutional rights under the First, Second, Fourth, and other amendments...and much more. They've even threatened to nationalize whole industries by Executive Order alone. And there's something else. On Friday, March 16, 2012 America ceased being a Republic and became a dictatorship in one swipe of a pen. That dark day Obama committed the boldest assault on America since the Revolutionary War—while Americans weren't looking. Barack Hussein Obama quietly gave himself the power to impose Martial Law, bypassing both the Constitution and Congress through Executive Order. Executive Order ...
Satan has been unleashed in the world. Or, if you are an atheist or secular and uncomfortable with theological imagery: Dr. Frankenstein’s monster has escaped the laboratory and is rampaging across the landscape. The most recent atrocities committed by the Islamic State — notably, the beheading of an American journalist by an ISIS mujahid on video, as a warning to President Obama (see Fox News, CNN, and the Mail Online) — demonstrate that something unprecedented is at work in the Middle East. Not since the defeat of the Ottoman army in 1683 has barbarity of this magnitude gone unchecked in the region. Actually, you’d have to go back farther than 1683, or even 1453, to find comparable events. During its entire suzerainty over Mesopotamia, the Ottoman Empire did not engage in the systematic demolition of Shiite mosques. But that is exactly what ISIS is doing, even as it massacres and enslaves Christians and Yezidis. This is a moment of enormous historical import. The proclamation of a Caliphate by t ...
In his press conference yesterday, President Obama said the United States will be "vigilant and relentless" in responding to the escalating Islamic terrorist threat in the Middle East. The president and his administration need God’s wisdom as they make decisions of immense importance. As Christians, we need to pray for them and all of our leaders. The Bible commands us clearly to pray “for kings and all who are in authority” (1 Timothy 2:2).

(CNN) -- Traveling in Europe this week, I had a chance to see the world through the eyes of the London Times, the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail. The view from Britain was startlingly different than the view from Martha's Vineyard, where President Obama is vacationing. There is a consensus in Britain that at least 500 young Brits have gone to the Middle East as jihadists.

(CNSNews.com) - Former Vice President *** Cheney, who helped push the United States into war with Iraq in 2003, says "there's no question" that ISIS terrorists are "very much a threat to the United States, to our friends and allies, not only in the Middle East but in Europe." "And when you see them behead an American reporter...that's obviously a terrible development, but magnify that a million times over because that's what's in store for the rest of the world if we don't deal effectively with this crisis," he told Fox News's Sean Hannity on Wednesday night. Cheney said he doesn't think President Obama understands the "enormous" danger posed by Radical Islam: "The intelligence is there for all to see. There's no question about what's happening. But this president and the people around him refuse to recognize it and certainly refuse to deal with it. "The damage that is being done as we talk tonight, Sean, to the American military, is enormous. They're taking our Army down below levels we haven't seen sin ...
This article by Hal Lindsey was emailed to me by a friend, and I believe it is very important that people read this. The more I hear about this Islamic State group reminds me of the film 2016 where Dinesh D’Souza warned that one of Obama’s goals is to create a United States of Islamic Nations. ISIS Rising By Hal Lindsey With all of our attention focused on Israel lately, and rightly so, it may be shocking to learn that there are dramatic – actually catastrophic – events happening elsewhere in the Middle East. On Thursday, President Obama announced that he had decided to approve the airdrop of humanitarian supplies of food and water to almost 40,000 encircled and besieged Yazidi refugees stranded on Mt. Sinjar in Iraq. He also indicated that he had approved the use of “limited” air strikes by U.S. forces against the aggressor ISIS forces that seek to annihilate them. Not much has been reported about help for the ancient religious community that fled to a craggy mountaintop where there is no cov ...
Israel accepts President Obama's offer to ship the Ferguson PD to Gaza, on condition that Ferguson police are deployed once, and only after, the truce and cease fire with the Palestinian Authority irrevocably breaks down. Said Israeli PM Netanyahu "It's always tragic and truly terrible when completely unjustifiable acts of violence are wasted without purpose in the United States. Everyone understands and agrees that it's far preferable that such heinous acts and deplorable behaviors only occur in the Middle East."
HOW MANY OF YOU REMEMBER THIS? A radical Foreign Policy adviser fired by President Obama for meeting with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas has been hired by the White House to be the senior director at the National Security Council (NSC). How generous of the "commander-in-chief" to let bygones be bygones when it comes to this extremist, a Middle East “expert” named Robert Malley whose family had close ties to Yasser Arafat, founder of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Fatah movement. Malley was an adviser in Bill Clinton’s White House and he consistently exonerates Palestinians and condemns Israel. Good move by President Obama to intervene with Humanitarian Aid & airstrike s to protect the innocent lives of Christians in the Middle East. With trying times in the Gaza Strip & uncertainty in the middle east & abroad we need now more than ever to pray for Our Political leaders.
Justin Amash, of Palestinian roots, says President Obama should not try to dictate Middle East negotiations
THE US COMPLICITY IN ISRAEL's WAR CRIMES IN GAZA The US cannot serve as honest broker in Israel-Palestine negotiations because because its government is overwhelming committed to and identified with Israel, including in this war. That is why President Obama keeps mouthing propaganda like that Israel has a right to defend itself (it doesn’t enjoy an absolute right of that sort– its defense has to be proportionate and within international law). The US political system is the most corrupt in the industrialized world, and our representatives have simply been bought and paid for by Israel fanatics like Sheldon Adelson or Haim Saban (the latter has also taken over Middle East analysis at Brookings, which used to have an independent editorial line). It is scary since the Likud took over, since it is just as though a Serbian Lobby in the 1990s had bribed Congress to support Slobodan Milosevic. Here are the ways that the US is actively helping Zionist Israel in its war on Gaza: 1. Military aid. This is the bre ...
ISRAEL & THE MIDDLE EAST U.S. Presidents and the State of Israel On March 20, 2013, President Barack Obama will visit Israel in his first official international trip of his second term. It will be his first trip to Israel as president. President Obama will become the fifth sitting U.S. president to visit Israel. The other four were George W. Bush (twice in 2008) Bill Clinton (1994, 1995, 1996 and 1998), Jimmy Carter (1979) and Richard Nixon (1974). The unique bond between the United States and Israel dates back to Israel’s founding in 1948. Indeed, public opinion polls taken over decades have consistently demonstrated that Americans of all backgrounds support strong U.S.-Israel relations, and view Israel as a key ally of the U.S. This close relationship is based upon shared democratic values and strategic interests including the rejection of terrorism and violence. The U.S. has a great interest in the stability of the Middle East, a region that is afflicted by extremists who violently oppose the U.S., I ...

My dear European, American and Canadian friends and family - pls take a few minutes from your busy schedule and read this article. I think it is extreemly importent, and especially so following some decisions and acts carried out by President Obama and his White House team. @ President Obama. I totally get that it is hard for you to do anything at all when it comes to the Middle East- I mean you watch the world blow up and just stay quiet. I understand that as the president of USA it is too difficult for you to stand for something and that in your book doing nothing does less damage than doing something. But as a man who takes pride in being a father and having daughters can't you once say something less tofu? Can't you just feel deep regret for the mothers that have been subject to the worst act of terror? Is it honestly easier to hide behind your forged Noble Prize and meaningless rhetoric when an entire nation that contributes to the security and medicine in your country mourns?
The members of the opposition forces in Syria are the international Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda, the same forces President Obama has financially supported and armed in Libya, Egypt, and now Syria. It's part of Obama's war of Islamic expansion in the Middle East and North Africa... so far. Americans need to wake up and see that Obama is using America and its money and military to achieve his personal Islamic goals.
It's possible President Obama slides out of what appears to be a Foreign Policy quagmire in the Middle East completely unscathed when the history professors write it up and W. Bush and the wardrum beating neocons of his administration might be the ones eating history book crow? Who knows? This is not to suggest that Barack Obama is a Foreign Policy genius or that he stumbled into the right place of history. Who knows what he knows. Every man answers for his own actions before Jesus. To start with; did W Bush and the wardrum neocons bring about the results they promised Americans by knocking off Saddam Hussein and his Ba'athist regime that gave America its longest war in history? Obviously no. Did this international interventionist body achieve its goals? Yes, if you're on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve, a major stock holder in British Petroleum (Standard Oil of Ohio, aka Sohio), or a major stockholder in Halliburton, the immediate results were magnanimous. The Middle East is redefining itse ...
President Obama says that invading militants in Iraq threaten the Middle East region, and perhaps the United States.
The United States-Tunisia Trade and Investment Council met on June 16, 2014, in Tunis to engage in an ongoing process toward increased trade and investment integration between the two economies, following up on discussions on that subject between President Obama and Prime Minister Jomaa in April.  Led by Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East L. Daniel Mullaney and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for Asia and the Americas Ambassador Ghazi Jomaa, the Council pursued its work on several tracks.  First, the Council launched detailed discussions of potential trade and investment commitments in a range of specific areas that could usefully build a foundation for broader and deeper integration.  In a number of those key areas – including market access, services, investment, and intellectual property rights – the United States and Tunisia shared in detail their views based on the experience of previous comprehensive trade and investment agreements they have negotia ...
The crisis in Iraq is on the verge of warfare. President Obama announced the U.S. will deploy nearly 300 military troops to Iraq to help protect U.S. personnel and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. What are your thoughts on sending more American troops to Iraq? What impact if any do you think our troops will have on developing peace in the Middle East? | WBTV News at 8pm on Bounce
President Obama faces new challenges with conflicts in Middle East
Heading for disaster in Iran BY JENNIFER RUBIN June 13 at 1:30 PM As Iraq descends into chaos, the looming threat of a nuclear-armed Iran hangs over the Middle East. Ali Alfoneh, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and an expert on the inner workings of the Iranian regime, tells Right Turn that sanctions have put pressure on the mullahs: “The Iranian regime wants to achieve some kind of agreement since it is desperate for cash.” Meanwhile, “President Obama needs a Foreign Policy achievement he can market as a victory.” That, however, doesn’t bode well for disarming Iran. “I’m not sure it will be a good deal,” he says. “Even worse . . . I’m not sure Iran can deliver.” Iran's new President Hasan Rouhani, waves after swearing in at the parliament, in Tehran, Iran, Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013. Iran's new president on Sunday called on the West to abandon the "language of sanctions" in dealing with his country over its contentious nuclear program, hoping to ease the econo ...
Investor's Business Daily\By David Ignatius The capture Tuesday of Mosul, the hub of northern Iraq, by al-Qaida-linked militants is an alarm bell that violent extremists are on the rise again in the Middle East. And it's a good time for President Obama to explain more about how he plans to fight this menace without making the mistakes of the past. Obama needs to alert the country to the renewed extremist threat partly to clarify the record. Just 19 months ago, he won re-election arguing that his policies had vanquished the most dangerous core elements of al-Qaida. But the organization has morphed, and deadly new battles are ahead. The campaign theme that the worst terrorist threat had been licked was vividly drawn in the third debate between Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney, on Oct. 22, 2012. Romney tried to shake Obama's optimistic narrative about al-Qaida. "It's really not on the run. It's certainly not hiding. This is a group that is now involved in 10 or 20 countries, and it presents an enor ...
I would love to know what you are thinking and feeling about this: President Obama, declaring that it was “time to turn the page on a decade in which so much of our Foreign Policy was focused on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq,” announced on Tuesday that he planned to withdraw the last American troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2016. Under a new timetable outlined by Mr. Obama in the Rose Garden, the 32,000 American troops now in Afghanistan would be reduced to 9,800 after this year. That number would be cut in half by the end of 2015, and by the end of 2016, there would be only a vestigial force to protect the embassy in Kabul and to help the Afghans with military purchases and other security matters. At the height of American involvement, in 2011, the United States had 101,000 troops in the country. Mr. Obama said the withdrawal of combat troops from Afghanistan would free up resources to confront an emerging terrorist threat stretching from the Middle East to Africa — a strategy he plans to ...
Did you know that in 2013, shortly before President Barack Obama's trip to the Middle East, Haris Tarin, Director of MPAC's Washington, D.C. office, met with the President to discuss recommendations for the peace process? In 2013, we were able to hold multiple high level meetings with President Obama, his administration and federal agencies, and we were able to further bridge the gap between media and policy. Meetings of this nature highlight the level of access MPAC enjoys as a trusted resource for policy recommendations. Read our 2013 Annual Report
Senator Lindsey Graham will be hosting a FREE BBQ TONIGHT 7:15PM at Cleveland Park!! What a great opportunity to ask Senator Graham about his support for amnesty, arming & funding Radical Islamists in the Middle East, NSA domestic spying, suspension of the Bill of Rights, decades of deficit spending and tax increases, ending debate on the bill to fund Obamacare, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton & John Kerry, and his exclusive dinners with President Obama! Please SHARE! Please say hi to O'Neal Mintz & the rest of "Team Graham".
May 7, 2014 Dear Representative Huizenga, Dear Senator Levin, Dear Senator Stabenow, On September 11, 2012, America was under attack by Radical Islamic jihadists. The result of this attack was not only the burning down and ransacking of American Consulates and embassies throughout the Middle East. The end result included the atrocious, violent deaths of 4 Americans. Stand with us in fighting for these 4 men who gave all. Despite asking for reinforcements to help the consulate that was under attack, the Obama Administration denied the requests. Then, within hours of learning about these attacks, President Obama went to party and campaign in Las Vegas, New York, and Hollywood. Although time and emails would prove that not only did Obama know about what happened, he and his team watched it in the Situation Room. But, there were no campaign pictures of that scene released. Instead, Obama attempted, poorly, to hide the truth of what he knew from the American people because the truth was an inconvenience to his ...
Email Suggests White House Strategy on Benghazi By MICHAEL D. SHEAR April 30, 2014 WASHINGTON — A newly released email shows that White House officials sought to shape the way Susan E. Rice, then the ambassador to the United Nations, discussed the Middle East chaos that was the context for the attack on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012. The email dated Sept. 14, 2012, from Benjamin J. Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser, to Ms. Rice was obtained by the conservative group Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request. The subject of the email was: “PREP CALL with Susan.” That email was sent ahead of Ms. Rice’s appearance on several Sunday morning news talk programs three days after the attacks that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including J. Christopher Stevens, the ambassador to Libya. Conservative critics of President Obama have long contended that political considerations at the White House were the reason that Ms. Rice attributed the ...
President Obama called an emergency meeting today with his cabinet along with leading Democrats in the House and the Senate to deal with various Foreign Policy issues from Russia to the Middle East. Obama blamed Rush Limbaugh, Joe Biden blamed a lack of gun control, John Kerry blamed global warming, Harry Reid blamed the Koch Brothers and the cattle rancher in Nevada, Nancy Pelosi blamed Fox News, Chuck Schumer blamed the Tea Party for not accepting amnesty, Barbara Boxer blamed rich Republicans for not wanting to pay higher taxes, Richard Durbin blamed the NRA, Eric Holder blamed racism, Michelle Obama laid blame to childhood obesity, and Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was heard asking, “What difference does it make?” DEMONcrats SUCK !!!

Hamas Deal Last Straw for Congress on U.S. Aid to Palestinians - Julian Pecquet Wednesday's announcement of a reconciliation between the rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah triggered an instant call for retaliation on Capitol Hill. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), who chairs the House Foreign Affairs panel on the Middle East and authored the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act, called for an immediate suspension of U.S. aid to the PA. The 2006 law prohibits support for a "Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority." "The Administration must halt aid to the Palestinian Authority and condition any future assistance as leverage to force Abu Mazen [Abbas] to abandon this reconciliation with Hamas and to implement real reforms within the PA," Ros-Lehtinen said. "U.S. law is clear on the prohibition of U.S. assistance to a unity Palestinian government that includes Hamas, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, and President Obama must not allow one cent of American taxpayer money to help fund this terrori ...
After listening to Senator John Mccain is morning I'm finally understanding the GOP's Foreign Policy position. Sunday Senator Bob Corker said President Obama's message to foreign leaders is for them not to put the United States in an embarrassing position such as taking land or gassing your own people. He said everything else is acceptable. Those are some pretty harsh accusations but a moderate journalist, David Brooks, also said that President Obama had a manhood problem in the Middle East. John Mccain let the cat- out- of -the -bag by saying," of course we're not gonna put boots on the ground in Ukraine but quit saying it." McCain said our inaction in Syria is unconscionable. In combining all those thoughts together, it seems to me that the GOP wants a strong military with unlimited funds. They have a real problem with Putin taking Crimea without any resistance from the United States and Syria's Assad imposing his will on the people. They're not at ease with soft power(diplomacy) because they're ...
"No one should ever have to fear for their safety when they go to pray." —President Obama” the children at funerals in Middle East say same
In a stunning move that defies all logic, the Obama Administration is preparing to give Al-Qaeda Syrian rebels air defense aid. While shocking in its idiocy, it shouldn't surprise Americans, considering that President Obama openly funds terrorists in the Middle East.
Women in Saudi Arabia encouraged to drive during President Obama's visit
Did you guys see both President Obama in the Middle East and President Xi in Europe on TV? It was very nice and very soothing like wine that goes down your throat to see them both on TV. We hardly see that.
Amnesty urges Obama to criticize Saudi human rights record Amnesty International urged on US President Barack Obama to break silence on human rights violations in Saudi Arabia during his visit to the country on Friday. The London-based rights group called on Obama to take a firm stance against discrimination and systematic violations in the Persian Gulf kingdom. Obama was also asked to express dismay at restrictions on women’s driving as his brief visit to Riyadh coincides with a campaign against the driving ban in the country. Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that forbids women to drive. “It is crucial that President Obama sends a strong message to the government of Saudi Arabia that its gross human rights violations and systematic discrimination are unacceptable. A failure to do so would undermine the human rights principles the USA purports to stand for,” said Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International. “For too long, the US ...
The Obama Doctrine: Interesting read by Gary Sick on how the US president approaches the Middle East.
President Obama met Pope Francis today. They had a 52-minute meeting, longer than the expected 30-minute meeting. They discussed Immigration Reform (as His Holiness promised -- the HHS contraception mandate, the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, and how best to help the poor. The President invited His Holiness to the White House, after gifting him with a custom-made seed chest. The Pope seems to have accepted, responding with, "Como no?" (Of course!). The Pope gave the President two medallions, "including one that symbolized the need for solidarity and peace between the northern and southern hemispheres," and a copy of "Evangelii Gaudium," His Holiness' apostolic exhortation from last year. "I will treasure this. I actually will probably read this in the Oval Office when I'm deeply frustrated. I'm sure it will give me strength and calm me down," Obama said, after receiving the gift. The Pope responded in English: "I hope." Obama: His Holiness has "great moral authority". Obama: "His Holiness i ...

Lying About Abbas Won’t Bring Peace « Commentary Magazine - With Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas meeting today with President Obama, the focus on the Middle East peace process has shifted, at least for the moment, away from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his alleged shortcomings. But while Netanyahu’s most recent meeting with the president was preceded by an Obama interview with Bloomberg’s Jeffrey Goldberg in which the Israeli was lambasted and Abbas praised, there was no such ambush for the Palestinian. Most everybody in Washington and a great many Israelis are at pains to paint Abbas in the best possible light. When Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon accurately described the Palestinian as someone who would never be a partner for a final peace agreement, Cabinet colleague Tzipi Livni and Israeli President Shimon Peres both spoke up in his defense. Livni, who has at times criticized Abbas herself, did not specifically refute any of Yaalon’s points but preferred instead to say that h ...
President Obama says peace in the Middle East remains elusive
I’m not a political cartoonist but I did end up creating two political cartoons to help me express my disappointment and frustration with how President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry are dealing with matters in Israel. The first one is of President Obama plucking a feather from the peace dove with this thought balloon: “This would be a nice feather for John’s hat”. The second is of Secretary Kerry wearing only boxers, tennis shoes and an Uncle Sam political hat. He is red-faced, tongue sticking out Michael Jordan style, chasing a white feather with a butterfly net as the elusive peace dove flies away. The caption says, “Secretary Kerry was so intent on catching a feather for his hat, he didn’t realize he was in his boxers in front of the whole world”. A week ago Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu came to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Obama. Seeking to salvage an elusive Middle East peace plan, President Obama pressed Netanyahu “to make the ‘tough decisions’ needed ...
There are no troops or powerful enough to resist an idea. You cannot incinerate its which is everywhere in the Middle East. You cannot burn its books or publish its secrets or defy its leaders, because there is consensus and wide distribution and no substantial divisions like those that toppled the first four caliphates. Like the Middle East now faces the unified economic power of the European Economic Community, the West will face the unified power of the Fifth like to direct these next remarks to President Obama. Mr. President, the battle between Islam and the West is one that is historically engendered and cannot be avoided. What can occur is a negotiated peace. While virtually everyone will tell you that it is far too early to start negotiations with some "imagined" entity called the Fifth Caliphate, your goals as a military leader should be formed in recognition of the historical absurdity of a divided Islam and the very probable unification of that faith under a single charismatic leader. JOE SHEA, ...
The Spirit of Antichrist By Daymond Duck A few years ago I wrote an article about this, but the blatant arrogance, lying and lawlessness of President Obama has prompted me to update and add to it with more recent examples. I personally do not believe President Obama is the Antichrist for four reasons: 1) Because the Antichrist must rise to power after the 10 kings and they are not here (Dan.7:24). 2) Because the Antichrist must rise to power in Europe not the U.S. (Dan. 9:26). 3) Because the Antichrist can’t appear while the church is here. 4) Because President Obama is a very poor, indecisive, foolish leader; but he definitely has the spirit of Antichrist and he could be a type or forewarning of the Antichrist (1 Cor. 10:11). The Antichrist will have a mouth speaking great things (Dan.7:8). Pres. Obama has been hailed as a great speaker. The Antichrist will rise to power as a little horn, wax exceedingly great, and take over the world (Dan.7:8; 8:9; Rev.13:7-8). Two years before he ran for President of ...

The world in the 6th year of President Obama Presidency is in urgent need for stronger American leadership. From the Balkans to Ukraine, to Syria and the Middle East and in many other parts of the world we see that the friendly nice, charming and entertaining way of President Obama is leading to a vacuum of power and leadership which others are happy to fill and put their agenda on the world, but it is not too late, Maybe even President Obama starts to understand that a world run by President Putin where the land of the neighbors is for the stronger to take and children in Syria carpet bomber by their government is not the new world he has promised in 2008, it is much of the same old world but just run by the guys ready to do whatever...It is time for change...It took President Clinton only 3 years to consolidate himself and intervene in Bosnia and Kosovo after 2002 to 2005 hesitating what the role of America might be in the post Cold War war and him suddenly in power. The three Nuclear Super Powers is The United States, Russia and Israel. Israel is worried about Iran and not worried about its conflict with Palestine. Now according to my professor in Politics in the Middle East Islam is a religion of peace and building a bomb to take lives goes against the practices of Islam. These Realist Senators like John Mc Mcain that wants to go in and start a war with Russia big mistake and it will not happen there is something about Deterrence second-strike end of civilization. Lots of Media Hype right now but please be careful of Propaganda. Changes occur every day so I am like wait and see the Region is filled with turmoil. As a military face-off intensified in Ukraine’s Crimean region, President Obama on Monday warned Russia it would face costly sanctions unless it ends its occupation. “We are examining a whole series of steps, economic and diplomatic, that will isolate Russia and have a negative impact on their economy,” Obama told reporters after a meeting in the Oval Office with Israel’s Prime Minister, Bejamin Netanyahu, to discuss frozen Middle East peace efforts. Shortly before the president spoke, a State Department official told reporters the U.S. is closer to imposing penalties on Russia unless the country withdraws its military forces. Some 6,000 Russian soldiers reportedly have fanned out across the large southern peninsula and Ukraine officials claim Russia threatened to seize some of its warships. Russia denied making any such threats. Secretary of State John Kerry plans to fly to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, for a visit on Tuesday to express U.S. support for the embattled new government that took over ...

President Obama told the UN back in February of 2012, quote, "The future does not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam," quote/unquote. That's Obama two years ago at the UN in September. Ninth Circus Court Orders Google to Remove Anti-Muslim Movie from YouTube February 27, 2014 BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I'm gonna tell you something gonna be interesting to watch out there, folks. I have this story right here in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers. It is from the Associated Press. "A US appeals court..." That would be the US Ninth Circus Court of Appeals. "A US appeals court ordered YouTube," owned by Google, loved by the Regime. Google and Regime are inseparable, except -- except -- the Ninth Circus has ordered Google, through its YouTube subsidiary, "to take down an anti-Muslim film that sparked violence in many parts of the Middle East and death threats to the actors." What's this? A business, Google, can be forced not to serve a customer -- that would be the YouTube uploader here -- beca ...
Dear Patriot, The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that Boeing, with $87 billion in Pentagon contracts funded by your taxpayer dollars, is seeking out business with Iran. General Electric, which has $12 billion in Pentagon business funded by your money, is also seeking to do business with Iran. All of this is occurring as President Obama signals his surrender to the Iranians over their nuclear program, with ongoing negotiations resulting in key Iranian officials declaring victory. This is the price of apathy. This is the price of not taking out Obama's base of power in 2014: a nuclear Iran, and an even more unstable Middle East. The news is also out that the President intends to slash U.S. troop levels to historical lows, while cutting defense spending as al-Qaeda takes over parts of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria. At the same time, President Obama is threatening Israel with sanctions to compel the Israeli government to negotiate with terrorist group Hamas, which shelled civilian areas with ro ...
Since the race card doesn't apply to Chris Anderson, Stuart James is playing the sexual orientation card. One day, Democrats will run out of cards to play, i.e., excuses, and will have to accept responsibility for their lack of leadership and their poor governance. Just this week, we've seen two prime examples of local Democrats using the Barack Obama playbook: 1. Trumping up charges of bigotry and hatred. The people that disagree with President Obama and his lack of leadership are labeled racists. Councilman Anderson is trying to paint the leaders of his recall effort as bigots. 2. Voting "present" (pass) on important issues. As a state senator in Illinois, Barack Obama voted "present" 129 times. As President, he has been indecisive, especially concerning Foreign Policy issues that have arisen in the Middle East. Mayor Andy Berke and Hamilton County Democratic Party Chair Terry Lee have both essentially voted "present" on the UAW, choosing not to take a stance against the UAW. As a Senator, Mayor Berk .. ...
Two weeks ago we had the State of the Union. This past week, we see Obama’s state of confusion. I mean really, do they actually believe the American people are imbeciles? One minute we’re told President Obama is pivoting towards creating jobs and will use his pen and phone to create opportunity for the American people. Then this week the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) stated that Obamacare will result in the loss of nearly 2.5 million full-time American jobs. But the President’s Economic Council Chairman, Jason Furman, along with White House spokesperson, Jay Carney, now tell us it’s good to not work and have more time to stay at home and receive a subsidy from government. Carney said Obamacare will free Americans from being “trapped by a job.” So does President Obama want Americans to work 40 hours, or just have a part-time $10 minimum wage job with a government subsidy. Or how about the fact we’re told the economy is improving and we’re out of the worst recession that mea ...
Ayers spills details on relationship with Obama Confronts claims his parents paid for Obama’s Harvard education (Tea Party) – In an exclusive interview with WND, former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers called Barack Obama a moderate politician and claims he barely knew him when he was a resident of his Chicago neighborhood. In a debate with Obama 2016 producer, Dinesh D’Souza at Dartmouth College last month, Ayers repeatedly took shots at Obama. “I wish Barack Obama had listened to me and followed my advice, but it didn’t happen and it’s not going to happen,” said Ayers in the WND interview. Saying he has “a lot of criticisms of President Obama,” Ayers clearly hinted at why Obama may be losing the support of the left in his second term. “I am a militant, anti-war activist. I would pull out of these Middle East Wars,” said Ayers. “Also, I believe in single-payer health care, and I believe Medicare should be extended to everybody.” There are those observers who believe Ay . ...
The Scots and the Kurd's are in the same position, except Britain is far more civilized than Syria, Iraq, Iran or Turkey will ever be, which makes things that much easier for the Scots. The Kurds must show the world that they are of the same calibre like the Scots . As the United States is the shining light of DEMOCRACY on the hill , President Obama and Secretary John Kerry must assist the Kurds in establishing the biggest democracy in the Middle East - The Sovereign Federation Nation of Kurdistan uniting Bakur, Basur and Rojava very quickly in one Nation state. Its a no-brainer.
In the past year, President Obama has taken a number of actions that when added together clearly indicates his plans for a military or hostile takeover of the United States. And for the first time in my life, I not only believe it could happen, but I am firmly convinced it’s going to happen before the 2016. To begin with, Obama has been tailoring the US military to his personal agenda. He is filling the ranks with *** and *** who will now follow him to any extreme because he is their champion. He has all but shackled chaplains from preaching Christianity to the troops, who by the way, aren’t even allowed to have Bibles in some areas in the Middle East or any other semblance of Christianity. For the military coup de gras, he has been tailoring his top military leaders by asking if they are willing to shoot Americans. Those that answer yes, are put in key positions while those that answer no are basically seeing the end of their military careers. Next, the Department of Homeland Security has b ...
President Obama looks forward to discussing with Pope Francis their shared commitment to fight poverty & growing inequality. President Obama & the First Lady last visited Pope Benedict XVI, July 2009. The March visit follows a positive meeting between US Secretary of State John Kerry & Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin Jan. 14 -they found plenty of common ground, especially concerning the Middle East, although major differences between the Church & the Obama administration remain, most notably regarding life issues & health care reform. The President's audience with the Holy Father will follow his attendance at a Nuclear Security Summit in the Netherlands & a US-EU Summit with presidents of the European Council & European Commission in Belgium -his 1st visit to the EU institutions.
(Fox News) – In the Middle East, tribal politics and insidious power grabs are par for the course. Nazi-like atrocities in Syria---including genocide by baking Christians and other loyalists to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in over-sized ovens used to bake bread---have been perpetrated by Obama-backed, supported and armed al-Qaeda terrorist rebels who are fighting alongside the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist rebels in Syria to overthrow al-Assad and his government and turn Syria into an Islamic police state. Bashar al-Assad is the third of three non-sectarian leaders in the Middle East and North Africa that the Obama-backed terrorist rebels have fought to remove, having already succeeded in Libya and Egypt. Fortunately Obama’s preferred leader who deposed Hosni Mubarek in Egypt, was himself deposed and imprisoned and is now awaiting trial. President Obama demanded that his preferred Mohammed Morsi be released from jail in Egypt and returned to power. The Egyptian Military who deposed Morsi refused.
Politicians, will be politicians. Without a moments notice they quickly change agendas, faces at the need of the people. I do not feel comforted by President Obama's Christmas well wishes today. As a Coptic Christian, I hate to see our people and other Orthodox faithful persecuted for our faith throughout Africa and the Middle East. Our Foreign Policy aids the same people that are killing, raping, and jailing our families overseas. President Obama, if you'd like to wish us a Merry Christmas, Blessed Feast of Nativity see to it that our people can find peace in their neighborhoods. No family should ever fear death going to or leaving a house of worship.
Ryan-Murray Budget: Military Retirees aren't Political Pawns I am sick and tired of our politicians; of whom the vast majority never personally served a single day in uniform let alone even thought of allowing a son or daughter to serve, using our service-members and our veterans as political pawns to serve their own personal agenda. The recent Ryan-Murray budget agreement which quickly and overwhelming past both the House and the Senate and signed into law by President Obama contained a provision that would reduce military retirement cost of living increases by 1% until age 62 when there will be a catch up. As a retired Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel (05) with 21 plus years of active duty and service in Europe, Middle East, Far East and Central America who understand clearly how serious our national debt is II could have fully supported the reduce military retirement COLA if the President, the Secretary of Defense, Democratic leaders in the Senate and Republican leaders in the House weren’t so serve-s ...

Dear President Obama, I hope you and the your administration hear and see the outcry of the Cambodian people in Cambodia. They are the victims of Dictatorship Government of Hun Sen, and they are in need of help. Why did we (Americans) talked and care so much about the Middle East, but not Cambodia? Cambodians were once the victims of Vietnam war, Killing Fields, and now supposedly democratic Government, but it is a dictatorship led by Prime Minister Hun Sen. Please do not act like there is nothing happening in Cambodia. Please do not let my Cambodian fellows suffer another day of human brutality. Hun Sen have been in power for 34 or more years, and many Cambodians are suffering from his corrupted Government, and ruthless officials and officers. Hun Sen has killed many Cambodians who are stading up to his Government or him personally. He is another Sadam Husen, Kadafi and Pol Pot. I urge you, sir, to help the Cambodians that are crying for the real democracy and the freedom that we are enjoying here ...
President Obama has lost credibility with many people who trusted him at the start of the year. Thanks to the Healthcare.gov debacle, polls find support for the president among women and independents has dropped to the lowest ebb of his presidency. Obama's words -- promising Americans they could keep their doctors under his health care plan -- didn’t match his deeds. Surprisingly, the same thing is happening on the other side of the world among Arabs in the Middle East and for the same reason. Too often, Obama’s speeches and actions don’t match. "We are glad the Americans are here," said Ahmed al-Ibrahim, an adviser to some of Saudi Arabia's royals and officials, when I met with him recently, "but we fear that the president has lost credibility after Syria." Remember, when President Obama said “Osama Bin Laden is dead and Al Qaeda is decimated and on the run?” If it weren’t for the fawning liberal progressive media, that statement could have been the “Lie of the Year” for 2012. According to a CNN report, The terror group’s manpower has increased in recent years, it has gained control of more territory in North Africa and the Middle East and is taking a different approach to death. While Al Qaeda suffered significant setbacks after Navy Seals shot and killed Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan in 2011, and drone strikes have taken out top terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the terror group and its close allies have rebounded in Yemen, the Sinai region of Egypt, Libya, Iraq, and parts of east and West Africa, among other places. Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, headquartered in Yemen, is particularly concerning. CNN says sources have uncovered chatter that suggests “active plotting” and there are there are multiple indications ...
Israel’s massive nuclear arsenal is one of the world’s worst-kept secrets. Former Prime Minister Olmert blurted it out in an interview with German television. President Obama refused to answer when asked point blank by Helen Thomas if he “knew of any country in the Middle East with nuclear weapons.” Mordechai Vanunu revealed details of Israel’s nuclear weapons program to the British press in 1986. Yet surprisingly few American are even aware of it. What is even more alarming is that American leaders, along with those of Germany, France, Britain, and other countries continue to actively aid and abet Israel’s nuclear weapons program while turning a blind eye to Israel’s espionage, theft, and threats of nuclear blackmail against them. John Kennedy was the last American president with the luxury of worrying about whether Israel would get the bomb, as firm evidence that they had done so emerged not long after his assassination. Moreover, once Israel acquired nuclear weapons, it became clear that ...
Conservative Tribune Prince Charles Says What Obama Won’t: Christians Are Being Persecuted Many people across the world praised the Arab Spring as a new birth of democracy in the Middle East and a move towards more moderate government. They were wrong. Remember, democracy is what you make of it, and even though there were some authoritarian leaders removed during the uprisings, they were often replaced with even more dangerous, anti-Western, Islamic thugs. We’ve seen this happen in Syria, where the destabilization that the civil war caused allowed the allies of al-Qaeda come in and begin slaughtering Christians. In Egypt, the Coptic Christians had no help from the Muslim Brotherhood as they suffered serious persecution after Mubarak’s regime fell. In Iran, Christian Pastor Saeed Abedini has been imprisoned since September 2012 by the Islamic radicals who run the country. Through it all, President Obama has been mostly silent. In fact, he supported the Arab Spring uprisings, which have led to not ...
At Hmmm... From 10/28/2012 Obama Fires Top Admiral As Coup Plot Fears Grows By Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers A shocking new report prepared by the Foreign Military Intelligence Main Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and circulating in the Kremlin today, states that President Obama has fired one of the United States Navy’s most powerful Admirals over growing fears the US Military is planning an overthrow of his government. According to this report, yesterday (27 October) Obama ordered the immediate removal of Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette [photo 2nd left] from his command of the powerful Carrier Strike Group Three currently located in the Middle East. CSG-3 is one of five US Navy carrier strike groups currently assigned to the US Pacific Fleet. For decades, a consistent, bipartisan goal of American Foreign Policy has been to minimize the Kremlin’s presence in and influence over the Middle East. With good reason. Where the Russians are involved, bad things generally happen – for the people most immediately affected, for regional stability and for U.S. security interests. Now, however, President Obama has facilitated not only Moscow’s reemergence as a power in the Mideast, but increasingly its displacement of the United States there. The latest and most dramatic example is the new, multi-billion dollar weapons deal Russia announced this week with Egypt. President Obama has alienated the Egyptian military, government and people with his insane support for the Muslim Brotherhood. And, predictably, they chose a new sponsor. We are likely to pay dearly for Team Obama’s driving Egypt into Putin’s arms.

OBAMA AND ISRAEL The Most Anti-Israel President in American History Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren said in 2010, “Israel’s ties with the United States are in their worst crisis since 1975 ... a crisis of historic proportions.” Author and scholar Dennis Prager concurred, “Most observers, right or left, pro-Israel or anti-Israel, would agree that Israeli-American relations are the worst they have been in memory.” In the spring of 2011, David Parsons, spokesman for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, said: “There's a traditional, special relationship between America and Israel that Obama is basically throwing out the window in a sense.” David Rubin, a U.S.-born Israeli author and an expert on the Middle East, put it this way: “President Obama is very harmful for Israel and very dangerous for the future of Judeo-Christian civilization.” The author and economist Thomas Sowell asserts that Obama's relationship with Israel has been consistent with the president's pattern of “selli ...
The temporary deal struck with Iran to freeze or scale back parts of its nuclear program in exchange for lifting some economic sanctions will be meaningless if a firm and final deal is not reached quickly, say former U.S. secretaries of state Henry Kissinger and George Shultz. “Standing by itself, the interim agreement leaves Iran, hopefully only temporarily, in the position of a nuclear-threshold power — a country that can achieve a military nuclear capability within months of its choosing to do so,” the two write in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. “A final agreement leaving this threshold capacity unimpaired would institutionalize the Iranian nuclear threat, with profound consequences for global nonproliferation policy and the stability of the Middle East." President Obama's deal with Iran has people talking. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blasted the dangerous nuclear agreement as "an historic mistake." And rightly so - the "deal" puts his nation (America's ally in the Middle East) at deadly risk. Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tennessee), ranking member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, agrees: "You begin relieving sanctions, you end up basically with no deal. This Administration is big on announcements and short on follow-through." House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Virginia) warns: "It dangerously recognizes that Iran will be allowed to enrich uranium ..." And Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz doesn't mince words that this is "a cataclysmic error of gigantic proportions ... I think we have hurt our sanction regime irretrievably by this measure." And CWA? We don't approve of wheeling and dealing with terrorist nations. Nothing in this cowardly agreement will prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. We are deeply concerned for Israel. A ...

Al-Waleed bin Talal: Saudi and “Israeli” Interests in Parallel Influential Saudi royal Prince al-Waleed bin Talal uncovered his fears from Saudi Arabia's American ally, assuring KSA's displeasure with the US policy and harmony with "Israel" particularly towards the Middle East. "The US has to have a Foreign Policy. Well-defined, well-structured. You don't have it right now, unfortunately. It's just complete chaos. Confusion. No policy," he noted. alwaleed bin talal Members of the Saudi royal family have voiced their displeasure with the Obama administration's approach to the Middle East whether through private channels or recently in public, but the staunchest of these voices was al-Waleed's. "America is shooting itself in the foot," he told the Wall Street Journal. As for President Obama, his second term is "going downhill completely," he described, adding on several occasions the disclaimer that "this is the impression I have in Saudi Arabia." Via an email forwarded to me... how any Jewish American or peace desiring Arab can continue to support Obamas Foreign Policy in the Middle East is beyond logic. VERY informative "report" from an American living in Israel: Shalom friends and family, Over the past 15 years when I have written these updates (hard to believe -- 15 years!), I have tried to focus only on the Israeli point of view of issues -- I have left American policy out of these discussions for the most part, be it Presidents Clinton, Bush, or Obama. However, with this morning's announcement of the American deal with Iran, I must focus on what has happened to this part of the world since January, 2009, when President Obama was inaugurated. Let's start with Egypt. By the American support of the so-called Arab Spring and by turning against one of our greatest allies in the region, Hosni Mubarek, Egypt has been thrown into turmoil. While supporting the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate for president, Mohamed Morsi, the Islamists become so embo .. ...

President Obama is holding a private, closed door meeting today with a handful of religious leaders to discuss illegal immigrants. Among those invited to attend are Jim Wallis of Sojourners and Russ Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention's ERLC. I wonder if the religious leaders will be required to avert their glance as they worship The One? Perhaps one brave soul might ask about Pastor Saeed Abedini or the plight of Christians being slaughtered in the Middle East or the attacks on Christians serving in the US Military? It's doubtful anyone will question The One. When at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, one must appear to be chummy -- for the sake of optics, of course.

October 05, 2013 Issue & BETRAYAL I think I have found Barack Obama's Presidential legacy. His economic blows at the American middle class through the vehicle of his freedom-robbing Obamacare health legislation, will I fear, not be the center of it. President Obama's true legacy will lie I think is his abandonment of Israel and Washington's embrace of the enemies of America in the Middle East. On Thursday, September 26, the United States took another giant step in the surrender of its superpower status. And Mr Obama wrapped himself tightly in the mantle of Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister whose appeasement of Herr Hitler on the matter of the Sudetenland, made in the eyes of many, Czechoslovakia's disappearance and the ensuing outbreak of World War II inevitable. That was the day America ceased 'having Israel's back' in its dealings with both the chemical threat from Syria and the atomic one from Iran. That drives both the prophecies of the Psalm 83 War and the Magog invasion of Israel f ...

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon The U.N. General Assembly is here in New York City. Today, President Obama gave a big speech on the Middle East. The leaders from the Middle East said, "You have touched our hearts, and from now on we shall have peace." And Obama said, "Really?" and they said, "No, but the look on your face was priceless." Home Depot just announced that that it will cut health insurance for its part-time workers because of Obamacare. Home Depot's CEO said he had a hard time breaking the news to employees. That's because it took him three hours to find one. Russian President Vladimir Putin just revealed he may run for a fourth term in 2018. In fact, he already came up with a few campaign posters. One says, "I will put middle-class families first — on a bus to Siberia." Another Putin poster said, "Putin in 2018, whether you vote or not."

Israel troubled by Russia's plans to help Iran. 11.09.2013 JERUSALEM - Israelis were unsettled Wednesday by the news that the United States had not yet decided whether to strike Syria over its chemical weapons, and that Russia was restoring plans to help archenemy Iran get missiles and another nuclear facility. Members of the Israeli government who were contacted about the development would not talk about it. Efraim Karsh, a professor of Middle Eastern Studies at Kings College, London, said this was bound to happen given President Obama's perceived withdrawal from Middle Eastern affairs overall. "Russia has always been a Middle Eastern power ... So they're going to be involved," said Karsh, a senior research associate at the BESA Institute, a think tank in Jerusalem. "Obama is viewed in the Middle East as a weak president and this is an opportunity for Russia to reassert some of its influence at the West's expense." Russia will supply Iran with a modified version of the sophisticated S-300 anti-aircraft s ...
I say it again, writing your Congressman/woman works! September 17, 2013 Dear Nathanial, Thank you for reaching out to me with your views regarding the ongoing conflict in Syria. Listening to my constituents is a fundamental part of my job as it helps me to best represent you and New Hampshire's priorities in Congress. As you know, President Obama has asked Congress to authorize U.S. military action in Syria. I applaud the President for submitting his proposal for congressional debate and approval – the authority of Congress to declare war is a critical check on the power of the Executive Branch, enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. From the beginning of this debate, I have expressed grave concerns about the unintended consequences of U.S. military intervention in Syria, including the likelihood of civilian casualties and the prospect of being drawn into a broader conflagration in the Middle East. After attending multiple classified and unclassified briefings and listening to the thoughtf ...
President Obama has three (3) years left being President. All he had to do was basically cruise and work on issues like restoring the Voting Rights Act, Immigration Reform, funding for better educational initiatives, jobs for americans, rebuilding roads and bridges. He could have finally appointed some Black judges and do something for Black people. Now, he has allowed himself to be side tracked and pulled into an inferno that could derail his presidency. Nearly 70% of Americans do not want another war in the Middle East. Obama is losing all support, as many people voted for him because they believed he would look out for regular people first. Why is it that almost everyone with common sense can see this mistake, but him and his people. He finally met with the Congressional Black Caucus yesterday, last. The Black people always come last with Obama. He met first with people like Republicans John Mccain, Lindsey Graham, Kelly Aiyotte. He thought they would push the Democrats and make them vote for war. He . ...

Last night, Judge Jeanine Pirro challenged President Obama on his push for military action in Syria. "Mr. President, can you understand why Americans are so dead set against this? We look at wars in the Middle East through the prism of Iraq, and the lies and false narrative of Benghazi. You want us to trust you, but you're not credible, clear or concise. Why should Americans take it on faith that what you're saying is true? There's no end game. And we can't afford, and we don't want World War III." Watch her full remarks:
Watched Senators McCain and Graham's press conference after their meeting with President Obama on the subject of Syria. It seems the tagline to be used is 'degrade Assad and upgrade the resistance.' I hate to be the one to ruin the party, but this administration did exactly that in Libya and never considered the unintended consequences. Now in Libya we have a proliferation of Islamist forces who are training terrorist insurgents to head to Syria, supported by the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda, as well as a consulate attack resulting in the death of four Americans, one being an Ambassador. In Egypt we 'deposed' Mubarak and enabled the Muslim Brotherhood and the unintended consequences are a civil war in Egypt and increased persecution of the Coptic Christians. So here we go again with the Obama administration, and useful tools from Congress, embarking America on a nebulous endeavor in the Middle East without consideration of the untended consequences. The opposition in Syria are Islamists supported by Sa ...
President Obama and important inner circle leaders had hoped to install the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and throughout other parts of North Africa and the Middle East. Issues related to enforced dhimmitude on Coptic Christians, the future rights of women, mainstream Islam, secular Egypt and a whole array of countless different thought patterns all faced a grim future. Even Saudi Arabia, a close ally of America, was watching events uneasily because the tentacles of the Muslim Brotherhood and their real objectives remain masked in uncertainty. The billions of dollars from the Obama administration to the Muslim Brotherhood led President Morsi (Mursi) which was a continuation of past economic policies under Hosni Mubarak -- without the Islamist angle -- meant that vast numbers of Egyptians couldn't trust Morsi or Obama. Now the Obama administration is threatening to withhold military assistance to Egypt by dancing around formalities which can be bypassed with ease if desired. After all, shipping military weap ...
Obama and Putin vain divide the Middle East? by Thierry Meyssan In an article published in Russia on 26 January 2013, Thierry Meyssan exposes the new plan of division in the Middle East currently working the White House and the Kremlin. The author reveals the main trading parameters in motion, without making judgments about the possibility of a definitive agreement or on their applications make. The interest of this paper is to enable the comprehension of ambiguous positions in Washington, this pushing its allies to a dead end, in order to impose them, soon, a new distribution of letters that simply leaves them out of play. Voltaire Network | Damascus (Syria) | February 22, 2013 President Obama boasts to completely change the strategy at the international level, despite opposition to his project raised within his own administration. The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) veteran Bruce Riedel, terming the Kashmir dispute as South Asia’s unfinished business, has asked for a quiet American effort led by President Barack Obama to move Pakistan and India towards an agreement. In his new book “Avoiding Armageddon”, Riedel, who was a senior adviser to four US presidents on Middle East and South Asian issues, feels the US has an important role to play. “In his second term, President Obama should quietly but persistently work to create a coalition of friends of Pakistan that will come together to back a peace offensive to resolve South Asia’s unfinished business in Kashmir. It will not be easy, but it is critical,” he says. He believes that a resolution of the major outstanding issue between Islamabad and New Delhi would reduce the arms race between them and the risk of nuclear conflict. “More than anything else, a Kashmir deal would set the stage for a different era in the sub-continent and for more productive interaction betw ...
Yesterday I told you that not all the news coming out of the Middle East is bad. And that’s true. But today, I want to speak about something that should concern every American Christian. Stay tuned to BreakPoint. On June 23, Francois Murad, a Franciscan priest, and two of his assistants were beheaded by Jabhat al-Nusra, an Al Qaeda affiliate in Syria. The killings took place less than two weeks after members of the Syrian Free Army, the main opposition force in that country’s civil war, massacred dozens of Christians in a village near Deir el-Zour. Both atrocities coincided with reports that, after resisting pressure to do so, President Obama had decided to arm Syrian rebels. We’ve said on BreakPoint why this is a bad idea. Sadly, our leaders – both liberals and conservatives – have not gotten the message. To understand why this is a bad idea, a short history lesson is in order. Syria, like its neighbors Lebanon and Iraq, was created by French and British diplomats from the remains of the Ottoma ...
Two days after Obama left Israel, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu phoned his Turkish counterpart, RecepErdoğan, to apologize for killing Turkish citizens in the Mavi Marmara event. The apology put an end to a long period - some may say too long - of a frozen relationship between the two countries that in the past were, and today could still be much warmer, especially in light of the significant changes occurring in the Middle East that began with the jolt called the "Arab Spring". Clearly, Netanyahu's apology is the result of Obama's visit, but it can be interpreted in two different ways, as a minor, marginal scenario, or, in contrast, an important and major scenario, but since I was not invited to be present in the closed meetings between Obama and Netanyahu, I am deliberating between the two scenarios, and I would thank any of my readers who can enlighten me on the subject. The Minor Scenario The minor scenario suggests that President Obama was displeased with the tense relations between Is ...
It is not only about oil, stupid… The late Billy Carter, Jimmy’s smarter brother said in 1978: “The only thing I can say is that there is a *** of a lot more Arabians than there is Jews.” Well, yes, he was right….and he could have added that the “Arabians control the world’s energy supply, a fact that influenced and still influences all the USA State Departments and Administrations' Middle East policies since the advent of the state of Israel. Well, now it appears that energy independence - and I don’t mean the chimerical notion of wind and solar power - is in the offing. Will it make a difference in international policies with respect to Israel? In a sad word…..No!! In Europe, the thinking, the media, the academia are being subverted by Islam and in the USA, ostensibly Israel’s best ally, the President Obama has stacked his deck with- Susan Rice, Chuck Hagel, Samantha Power, and the eternally obtuse John Kerry – all babble on about solutions to the Middle East “conflict” that a ...
I was against it while I was for it, and I'm not afraid to let that leak out: Heavy Pressure Led to Decision by Obama on Syrian Arms By PETER BAKER WASHINGTON — For two years, President Obama has resisted being drawn deeper into the civil war in Syria. It was a miserable problem, he told aides, and not one he thought he could solve. At most, it could be managed. And besides, he wanted to be remembered for getting out of Middle East Wars, not embarking on new ones. His ambivalence about the decision seemed evident even in the way it was announced. Mr. Obama left it to a deputy national security adviser, Benjamin J. Rhodes, to declare Thursday evening that the president’s “red line” on chemical weapons had been crossed and that support to the opposition would be increased. At the time, Mr. Obama was addressing a *** pride event in the East Room. On Friday, as Mr. Rhodes was again dispatched to defend the move at a briefing, the president was hosting a Father’s Day luncheon in the State Dining Room ...
Is the NSA scandal a British Intelligence Coupe (the Guardian released it, Hong Kong previous center of Eastern British Intelligence being the site of the release of the Snowden interview) that is trying to finesse the impeachment of President Obama? Has Britain been the real driving force behind setting up religious fanatic regimes like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and is that same strategy now ongoing? Are the coupes in Libya, Egypt, Iraq, and Syria attempts to install more religious fanatic regimes backed by the Saudis? Is the Obama administration resisting attempts to further arm religious terrorists in the Middle East?

Doc Vega A lot has been said and written, but this promises to break the case wide open! Ambassador Stevens, beaten, raped, and dragged through the streets of Benghazi for 5 hours clearly not overcome by smoke inhalation, while US media alleged he was being helped to the hospital by the good people of Benghazi? More Obama White House lies! There have been many theories and accusations about the Benghazi fiasco that not only cost Ambassador J. Christian Stevens his life, but the lives of his staff and one Navy Seal body-guard as well. This action which led to a complete conflagration of terrorist attacks against US diplomatic buildings throughout the Middle East and North Africa still remains largely uninvestigated by the government, unprosecuted by AG Eric Holder’s Depart of Justice, and refuses to bring the guilty parties to justice while many know the truth and are not coming forward. Even though President Obama is implicated in this overseas tragedy still the truth has not emerged. That has all chang ...
President Obama wrote me back! Dear Reba: Thank you for writing. I have heard from many Americans concerned about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and I appreciate your perspective. I remain committed to a sustained diplomatic effort to promote peace in the region, because achieving a secure and lasting peace is critical not only for Israelis and Palestinians, but also for their neighbors and the United States. Resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict demands our immediate and continued attention. For generations, the conflict has taken a terrible human toll, and continued instability in the Middle East makes us all less safe. We must open a more hopeful chapter in the story of the Holy Land. Through comprehensive and sustained efforts, we can achieve the goal of two states: a Jewish state of Israel and a viable Palestinian State, living side by side in peace and security. This approach requires working with Israelis, Palestinians, and other stakeholders over the long term, and my Administration will d ...
Defending Samantha Power on Israel By Rabbi Shmuley Boteach Last year I became the first Rabbi to ever win a Republican nomination for Congress (NJ-9) and I have, as a columnist, often been critical of President Obama’s policies on Israel and the Middle East. In particular I have held the President accountable for not doing more to protect the innocent victims of President Assad’s brutal regime. But this week I take my yarmulke off to President Obama for one of the most impressive actions of his presidency, namely, the nomination of Samantha Power to the post of American Ambassador to the United Nations. As the author of the 2002 Pulitzer-prize winning best-seller, A Problem from *** Samantha has emerged as the world’s foremost agitator against genocide and, as a member of a nation who experienced the worst mass slaughter of any in history, I have always been in awe of a woman who has given voice to God’s ancient plea to humanity, “the blood of your brother cries out from the earth.” I am we . ...

If there are good Muslims in the world where are they when these terrorist cut a mans head off in broad daylight. It is time we quit proclaiming the virtues of Islam and start fighting back. This is Jihad and no amount of apeasement by this president is going to change Islam. President Obama has done more for Radical Islam then any of their religious leaders ever could. He called what has went on in the Middle East the "Arab Spring". We should have learned with Hitler apeasement does not defeat evil. We gave a terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood fighter jets. The world stood by in silence when Mubarack fell and thousands of christians were murdered and churches burned down. Do Not Disturb... Harry Truman famously kept a sign on his desk in the Oval Office, “The Buck Stops Here.” Sixty years later, President Obama hangs a sign on the door to the Oval Office, “Do Not Disturb.” In 1978, about halfway between the two liberal presidents, Harvey Mansfield, as we’ve noted before, diagnosed the decline: “From having been the aggressive doctrine of vigorous, spirited men, liberalism has become hardly more than a trembling in the presence of illiberalism. ... Who today is called a liberal for strength and confidence in defense of liberty?” Not Barack Obama. He’s the Do Not Disturb president, presiding over a Do Not Disturb liberalism. So: Do not disturb the commander in chief when Americans are under attack in Benghazi on the anniversary of September 11. Or when the Iranian regime moves forward to get nuclear weapons, or when civil war in Syria threatens to destabilize the Middle East. Or when detainees released from Gitmo find their way back to the battlefield to rejo ...
Michael Ratner and Paul Jay analyze President Obama's defense of his drone and Guantanamo policies - a policy based on continuing US dominance in the Middle East; Obama's speech was interrupted by Code Pink's Medea Benjamin
Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates forcefully defended the Obama administration on Sunday against charges that it did not do enough to prevent the tragedy in Benghazi, telling CBS' "Face the Nation" that some critics of the administration have a "cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces." Gates, a Republican who was appointed by then-President George W. Bush in 2006 and agreed to stay through more than two years of President Obama's first term, repeatedly declined to criticize the policymakers who devised a response to the September 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens. "Frankly, had I been in the job at the time, I think my decisions would have been just as theirs were," said Gates, now the chancellor of the College of William and Mary. "We don't have a ready force standing by in the Middle East, and so getting somebody there in a timely way would have been very di ...

President Obama and his pitchmen and sycophants have been desperately trying to scare us about the austerity we will have to face as this 2 percent cut in spending takes effect. But before we start preparing ourselves for soviet-era shortages of basic goods and services we should take into account some of the spending that is still going on in other areas. For example, your new Secretary of State John Kerry recently announced $60 million for a new fund for "direct support of key engines of democratic change," including Egypt's entrepreneurs. And this $60 million is only the first part of a package that will climb to $300 million over time. Some people could argue that supporting a democratic government and the economic health of one of our strategic allies in the Middle East is more important than spending at home. I wouldn't be one of them, but the argument could be made. Where it gets really bizarre is a story I just read about a federal grant which was just given to the University of California San Die ...
Yeah we want to hear from the corporate *** liberal, progressive media, Joe Biden, and President Obama, that are saying that America has changed, the world has changed, as they surrounded themselves with American children of all races to go for the emotional affect as they signed in 23 Executive Treasonous, illegal Executive Orders to ban Guns here in the United States, while again using the Children of America to exploit the tragedy at Sandy Hook to meet their own personal political agenda. They just happened to talk about the fact that we are 33 days, hmm think there is some religious significance there? 33 days since the Sandy Hook Massacre, and oh boy we’ve got to do something because the World has changed, and in order to protect our children, and of course we know Obama, and Biden care about the children, right? I am sure they think about all the children that are being murdered in the Middle East while they are arming the Egyptian Military (Muslim Brotherhood) with F-16s and Tanks and giving t .. ...
I would strongly encourage everyone to listen to the 3/8/2013 edition of the "Hal Lindsey Report," for some very insightful comments concerning President Obama's upcoming trip to the Middle East. His insight and knowledge concerning "End Time" events is very helpful and will enlighten anyone who's intrested in Bible Prophecy. I believe Jesus is coming back real soon and the things Dr. Lindsey is saying will be a blessing to all believers.
Thompson 12 Edward T. Thompson Professor Hail POLS 4050 12 April 2011 Unwanted Care During the 2008 presidential race, political pundits on both sides of the spectrum did not take much stalk of candidate Obama’s or his rhetoric of speaking around an issue instead of directly stating a solution. Pressing issues were looming on America’s horizon, and this presidential race seemed to give Americans hope to issues such as a failing economy, sky rocketing oil prices, failing bank institutions, and America’s involvement in the Middle East. Amongst all this chaos, health reform became a focal point of discussion. Then, candidate Obama capitalized on this issue by making it one of his campaign pledges for the nation. After a year of assuming the White House, President Obama came through with what he promised the nation; on March 23, 2010, he signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. However, there is a question of that reforming America’s healthcare system was not a momentous occas . ...
Russia is seeing Washington's hand in Syria in the conflict with Iran. The United States is directing military operations in Syria with Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia at a control center in Adana about 60 miles from the Syrian border, which is also home to the American air base in Incirlik. The Program by President Obama to have the CIA acquire heavy weapons at a facility in Benghazi to be sent to Turkey and onward to Syria is the newest challenge that Putin cannot allow to go unanswered. It was the involvement of Ambassador Chris Stevens in the arms trade that may have contributed to his murder; and the Russians are not hesitating to remind the United States and Europeans that their dealings with the various Moslem extremists is a very dangerous game. The Russians are backing their determination to block another regime change by positioning and manning an advanced air defense system in what is becoming the Middle East casino. Putin is betting that NATO will not risk in Syria the cost that an air operati ...
Impose “military sanctions” on Iran, Netanyahu says, while Israeli Ambassador says red line will be reached by summer. by joelcrosenberg Military sanctions? Even as President Obama and his team are preparing a major tour through Israel and the Middle East next month, two Israeli leaders today significantly ratched up the prospect of an Israeli military strike by this summer. "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented Wednesday on the nuclear negotiations between the West and Iran, saying that the six powers should clarify to Tehran that if it continues to pursue its nuclear program it would face 'military sanctions,'" reports Ynet News in Israel. "As the talks drew to their end, Netanyahu said that if Iran's refusal persists, 'There are other means of compelling Iran to adhere to the international community's demands.'" "Netanyahu said that it was unlikely that the Islamic Republic would capitulate to the West's demands, and curb its nuclear endeavors," noted Ynet. "'Just like North Korea, (Iran) co ...
I can’t believe how President Obama is trying to inflict pain through the sequester to turn the public against conservatism and balancing the budget. This week, his administration released thousands of illegal immigrants and claimed the sequester made him do it. A few weeks ago, he did not send a needed aircraft carrier to the Middle East, blaming that on the sequester too. Liberal reporter Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, referring to the aircraft decision, said, Obama is exhibiting a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time.” When a liberal suggests Obama is going mad, you know the country’s in trouble.
George John Mitchell, Jr. (born August 20, 1933) is an American politician and businessman. A Democrat, Mitchell was a United States Senator from Maine from 1980 to 1995 and was Senate Majority Leader from 1989 to 1995. Since retiring from the Senate, Mitchell has taken up a variety of positions in politics and business. He has taken a leading role in negotiations for peace in Northern Ireland and the Middle East, being specifically appointed United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland (1995-2001) by President Clinton and as United States Special Envoy for Middle East Peace (2009-2011) by President Obama. He was a primary architect of the 1996 Mitchell Principles and the 1998 Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland, and was the main investigator in two "Mitchell Reports", one on the Arab–Israeli conflict (2001) and one on the use of performance enhancing drugs in baseball (2007). Mitchell served as chairman of The Walt Disney Company from March 2004 until January 2007, and later as chairman of th ...
Many of my black brothers and sisters may read this and pick an offence. Oh! Why is he against our governmnet?!? What does it matter if writing or speaking the truth is what will set you free mentally? Obama has just waived Bush law banning child soldiers. On October 3, 2008, President George W. Bush signed into law “Child Soldiers Prevention Act of 2008,” a law that made it a federal crime to recruit or use soldiers under the age of 15. The law also gave the United States authority to “prosecute, deport or deny entry to individuals who have knowingly recruited children as soldiers.” Recently, while most Americans were too busy spending time with their children and keeping up with the latest sporting events to worry about Executive Orders, President Obama removed the teeth from this law; effectively making it void in the nations most guilty. The result - thousands of children throughout the Middle East and Africa may be drafted into foreign militaries, with the full blessings of the United States. ...
At Pentagon, ‘pivot to Asia’ becomes ‘shift to Africa’ In his first term, President Obama instructed the Pentagon to pivot its forces and reorient its strategy toward fast-growing Asia. Instead, the U.S. military finds itself drawn into a string of messy wars in another, much poorer part of the world: Africa. Over the past two years, the Pentagon has become embroiled in conflicts in Libya, Somalia, Mali and central Africa. Meantime, the Air Force is setting up a fourth African drone base, while Navy warships are increasing their missions along the coastlines of East and West Africa. In scope and expense, the U.S. military involvement in Africa still barely registers when compared with its presence in Asia, let alone the Middle East or Afghanistan. On any given day, there are only about 5,000 U.S. troops scattered across all of Africa, while 28,000 are stationed in South Korea alone. But it is becoming more common for the Pentagon to deploy troops to parts of Africa that many Americans would be har ...
Another Sign Obama’s Doing a Good Job: War Criminal *** Cheney Thinks America Isn’t Safe By: RmuseFeb. 11th, 2013more from Rmuse Most people have had the unenviable task of cleaning up another person’s mess, and to exacerbate the situation is either blamed for the mess or criticized for putting things in order. President Obama spent the past four years cleaning up after Bush tanked the economy, left millions of Americans jobless and the nation embroiled in two unnecessary and costly wars. From the earliest days of the President’s first term, Republicans laid blame for the plethora of problems they and Bush left, and complained about the President’s approach to fixing the economy, staunching massive job losses, as well as his approach to Foreign Policy. In fact, the President is facing criticism for his use of unmanned drone attacks on the growing number of terrorists throughout the Middle East, and on Saturday, convicted war criminal *** Cheney blamed the President for Bush Administration fore . ...
President Obama's plan to divide Jerusalem by Dr. Mike Evans: "On his trip to Israel next month, Mr. Obama is expected to present what he considers to be a new Middle East peace initiative which calls for the division of Jerusalem with East Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian State. This will include most of Judea and Samaria. It is highly likely that the president will meet with the Palestinians either in Jericho or Bethlehem. He is dispatching newly-minted Secretary of State John Kerry to do the advance preparation. Kerry will meet in Ramallah with Palestinian leaders to settle details for the president’s visit. Pressure will be exerted on the Israeli government to halt settlement construction, including that in East Jerusalem. A call for the release of Palestinian prisoners will also be part of the president’s agenda. Each of these moves could undermine the future of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s new government." This is a FOREWARNING of Obama's "Plan for Israel". It will be the most DIRECT in ...

Lost in the inaugural hullabaloo was Tuesday’s news that President Obama has relieved Gen. James “Mad Dog” Mattis, the colorful and highly decorated Marine who’s been in charge of the crucial US Central Command, which oversees the various wars in the Middle East, since 2010. Mattis is famous for his blunt style and blistering aphorisms — “be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet” was his clear-headed advice to the Marines he led during the treacherous Iraq War. He’ll retire from both CentCom and the Corps in March, several months short of his expected tour of duty. But why? Could it be that, as Obama prepares to cede Afghanistan back to the Taliban, the last thing he needs is an obstreperous general gumming up the surrender? For an administration whose relationship with the military is, to put it mildly, fraught with tension, Mattis is yet another wall trophy, to go alongside the heads of Gen. Stanley McChrystal (fired in 2010 as the commander of the US forces ...
". . .to make the insidious policy decision that we shall now open up combat billets to women is something completely different. GI Jane was a movie and should not be the basis for a policy shift. I know Martha McSally, have known women who are Apache and Cobra helicopter pilots, and served with women who were MPs, but being on the ground and having to go mano y mano in close combat is a completely different environment . . . I completely disagree with this decision and can just imagine all the third and fourth order effects and considerations for implementation, such as standards for training. Unless the Obama administration has not noticed we are fighting against a brutal enemy and now is not the time to play a social experiment with our ground combat forces. President Obama, as Commander-in-Chief, should be focused on sequestration and the failure of his policies in the Middle East. This is the misconceived liberal progressive vision of fairness and equality which could potentially lead to the demise o ...
Jeremy Scahill Says Obama Strikes In Yemen Constitute 'Murder' Weighing in on President Obama's targeted drone strikes in the Middle East, journalist Jeremy Scahill did not mince words.
How the Government Retards Employment, Economic Growth and Environmental protection President Obama needs to act promptly to unleash the U.S. oil and gas industry from the procrastination and delays emanating from within his administration. Not only must the Keystone Pipeline be given final approval, EPA safeguards must be streamlined and expedited, leasing of Federal lands and offshore tracts liberalized, approvals for energy infrastructure fast tracked, and the unambiguous support for natural gas exports established. America’s oil and gas industry has discovered enormous new resources that have the potential of moving the center of gravity for energy production from the Middle East to North America, with important economic and geopolitical implications, but drilling rigs are being deactivated and production growth is beginning to lag behind potential as a result of federal government obstacles. President Obama alluded to the issue in last year’s State of the Union message when he said: “We have a ...
The widely predicted outcome of the Israeli elections is an even more right-wing coelition headed by Benjamin Netanyahu who has stated that he will use his third term to confront Iran on the question of nuclear weapons. More correctly, he will try to persuade President Obama to do the confronting for him. His position is that Iran presents a threat to the survival of a defenceless Israel much as Levi Eshkol persuaded the world that Syria, Jordan and Egypt were a threat to Israel in 1967. The following facts are useful in attempting to determine who is the biggest threat to peace in the Middle East; Nuclear weapons It is believed that Israel had possessed an operational nuclear weapons capability by 1967, with the mass production of nuclear warheads occurring immediately after the Six-Day War. Although no official statistics exist, it has been estimated that Israel possesses from 75 to as many as 400 nuclear weapons, which are reported to include thermonuclear weapons in the megaton range. Israel is also r ...
FROM THE LIPS OF BEN STEINDropping the Hagel Bomb By BEN STEIN on 1.7.13 @ 8:54AM Obama, Israel, and Chuck Hagel’s nomination. You really cannot, in fairness, blame President Obama for naming “Chuck” Hagel, one of the most clearly anti-Israel, anti-Semitic members of the Senate (or ex-members in his case) to be Secretary of Defense. President Obama has not changed his views on Israel since his first speech at the Democrat convention in 2004, when he made it clear that his sympathies in the Middle East lay with the Palestinians. In a way, you have to admire his consistency. Of course, he has to pay lip service to Israel when he visits Miami Beach, but how he must laugh at the audiences that applaud him. He is a charter member of the Chicago angry black man entity, and they — including former pals Jeremiah Wright and Minister Farrakhan — have little love for the Jews. So, again, his contempt for Israel and for Jews is not a surprise. The parts that are so heart breaking are that: 1.) Most American ...

Several things were common to them; among them are: i) No wall between them and another soul ii) No religious and political boundaries for them iii) No preference when it came to serving another human iv) The good they did, benefited larger humanity than self or their families v) Justness was a paramount value for them vi) No bone of prejudice in them. vii) Their world is the same size as God's world. Barack Obama MARCH 17, 2012 BY: KENNETH SCHORTGEN JR Examiner.com     [While the issues on gun control are pressing enough, it is only the tip of the iceberg, ask yourself this: What is Obama's agenda and just who is pulling the strings in American Government, further more, why is no one taking a stand against these actions? Is the Government in fact posturing for an all out war in the Middle East regaurdless of warnings given by Russia and China to not invade Syria and Iran? Could this in fact incite a world war unlike we have ever seen, one in which bombs including nukes could be dropping on US soil? All very valid questions...I myself am tired of the powers that be courupting our society, the very fabric of humanity in the name of greed, power and control. *]   On March 16th, President Obama signed a new Executive Order which expands upon a prior order issued in 1950 for Disaster Preparedness, and gives the office of the President complete control over all the resources in the United States in t ...
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE US RELATIONS WITH ISRAEL "ARE IN JEOPARDY" IF CURRENT OBAMA APPOINTEES ARE CONFIRMED - PRO ISRAEL ORGANIZATIONAL LEADER CALLS ON SENATE TO WITHHOLD CONFIRMATIONS (Washington, DC) - January 10, 2013 - The leader of pro-Israel organization Proclaiming Justice To The Nations (PJTN) is today calling on the United States Senate to refuse confirmation of President Obama's standing nominees for the posts of Secretary of State, CIA Director, and Secretary of Defense, citing a collective lack of responsible leadership towards their positions on Foreign Affairs and support of Israel. "Once again, President Obama's nominations for key leadership positions reflects an inability to stand strong in the arena of Foreign Affairs, America's support of Israel, and ultimately the security of US interests domestically as well as in the Middle East," noted Laurie Cardoza-Moore, head of PJTN, in a message to the US Senate citing the selections of John Kerry, Chuck Hagel, and John Brennan for major posts i ...
OBAMA'S SHIFT IN Foreign Policy During his second term, I expect President Obama will shift the orientation of his Foreign Policy. Here is my take. Obama knows the Americans are tired of wars, wars that have drained America financially and morally during the last ten years. His choices of John Kerry to State and Chuck Hagel to Defense provide a clue. Both Vietnam veterans are anti-war. As Chuck Hagel rightly said, "There is no glory in war, only suffering." Obama understands that the priority to rebuild America must take precedence over foreign adventures. Hence his reluctance to play hardball with Iran, as Israel would like, that might lead to a military conflict with serious consequences for the Middle East and his hesitation to intervene openly in Syria. He also understands that there is a limit to what the US can do, given its fiscal problems. Obama knows that stabilizing the Middle East is a must for the US to maintain its credibility with the Muslim World. The key here is the thorny Israel-Palestine ...
Lots of protesting and howling already on President Obama's nomination of John Brennan to head the C.I.A. Brennan, a career C.I.A. officer, has been directly involved with both Bush and Obama in "Hunt and Kill" operations in the Middle East and Afghanistan, and has been directly involved in the various Drone operations, approved by Obama. Obama supporters are quite unhappy with Brennan's selection, based on human rights beliefs. They are entitled to their opinions, of course. Obama has promised to continue all special operations, including drones.
President Obama has decided to fight the Republicans over his decision to appoint a Republican, Chuck Hagel, as Sec. of Defense. OBVIOUSLY, I've had disagreements with Hagel. But I like the idea of a pol who fought as an enlisted man in Vietnam over a chicken hawk gasbag who never saw a war he didn't like. I'm aware that he said something rude about an openly *** man who was up for an ambassadorship 14 years ago. Subsequently, he decried the discharge of *** servicemenbers under don't ask-don't tell, and need I point out that the misbegotten policy called don't ask-don't tell was originally put in place by President Clinton, as a half measure...because the sainted Bill Clinton himself could not bring himself to the full bore *** rights position. I'm aware that he has not voted in lock step with Israel.but he voted for the Israeli military aid package, and the only time the US can do any good in the Middle East is when we can get enough daylight between ourselves and Israel to be an honest broker. It is n ...

The Cost of gas The cost of operating Air Force One is now up to nearly $180,000 an hour. But that is still cheaper than having President Obama in the White House working on the government's budget. (Jim Barach) Oil prices jumped to well over $100 a barrel, and analysts say it's due to tension in the Middle East. So, luckily, it's just a temporary thing. (Jay Leno) Gasoline is so expensive in L. A. that police pulled over a van on the freeway yesterday with fifty legal Americans in it. (Argus Hamilton) You can tell gas prices are going up in California. Prius owners are getting that smug look again. (Jay Leno)
WORLD NEWS AFGHANISTAN BRITISH-CONTROLLED OBAMA-SAUDI-QATARI COALITION NOW MOBILIZED TO PUT THE TALIBAN IN POWER IN AFGHANISTAN January 1, 2013 • 1:56PM Having made the Islamic Sunni Jihadis his battering ram to break down Islamic nations and slaughtering of thousands in the Middle East and Maghreb nations in North Africa, President Obama is now utilizing his failed Afghanistan policy to re-introduce the Taliban as the future keepers of Afghanistan. An article by former Indian Ambassador M.K. Bhadrakumar in theRussia & India Report of Dec. 31 said a de facto core group of the U.S., Pakistan and Afghan government, with an outer circle comprising Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, has surfaced. Britain, as usual, is hovering somewhere in the shade playing indeterminate but critical roles underpinning the U.S. strategy. The objective of this core group is to hand over power to the Taliban in 2014 when majority of foreign occupying forces plan to leave Afghanistan and trigger yet another no-holds-barred civil ...

ON Monday, in their final debate, Mitt Romney denounced President Obama for creating “tension” and “turmoil” with Israel and chided him for having “skipped Israel” during his travels in the Middle East. Throughout the campaign, Mr. Romney has repeatedly accused Mr. Obama of having “thrown allies like Israel under the bus.” But history tells a different story. Indeed, whenever the United States has put serious, sustained pressure on Israel’s leaders — from the 1950s on — it has come from Republican presidents, not Democratic ones. This was particularly true under Mr. Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush. Just one week before the Iraq War began in March 2003, Mr. Bush was still struggling to form a broad international coalition to oust Saddam Hussein. Unlike in the 1991 Persian Gulf war, Russia, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, decided to opt out, meaning that the United Nations could not provide formal legitimacy for a war against Mr. Hussein. Britain was al ...
Senators plan to press potential Defense Secretary on ‘Jewish lobby’ comment JNS.org Click photo to download. Caption: Former Nebraska senator Chuck Hagel, potentially the next Secretary of Defense. Credit: U.S. Senate.(JNS.org) Senate Republicans are vowing to press former Nebraska senator Chuck Hagel on his past comments about the “Jewish lobby” should the front-runner for Secretary of Defense be nominated for the position by President Barack Obama, the Weekly Standard reported. In 2008, Hagel took a direct shot at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), telling former Middle East negotiator Aaron David Miller in a quote that appeared in Miller’s book, The Much Too Promised Land, that “the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people” in Washington. Hagel has also said he is “a United States Senator, not an Israeli senator.” U.S. Sen. John Mccain (R-AZ) said Tuesday that he knows of no “Jewish lobby” and hopes Hagel “would identify who that is,” according to the Weekl ...
From the Orthodox Christian Laity website: "Are there 25,000 Orthodox Christians in America who are ready to stand up for Orthodox Christians in the Middle East this holiday season? ... A petition [petition has been launched] asking President Obama to respond to the fact that religious minorities need protection across the globe, and we need your help. In Turkey alone — which boasts a population of over 75 million — the number of Greek Orthodox Christians has plummeted to just 3,500 because the Turkish government refuses to grant the Greek Orthodox Church its full religious freedom. In occupied Cyprus, Turkish forces have stopped Christmas liturgy from being celebrated by enslaved Orthodox Christians. In Iraq, Syria, and Egypt, religious minorities are unable to worship in peace this holiday season. Under the White House rules, if we can find 25,000 people to sign the petition, the White House will have to issue a response. Can you help us reach our goal?"
Global uncertainties will drive Gold higher, no matter short term corrections The month ends almost at the same price level where it began, with substantial action along the way. These are volatile times and the end of November has proved to be no exception. After initial nervousness concerning U.S elections along with moderate improvements in economic numbers, gold prices jumped up on the eve of the U.S. election. It seemed to be looking beyond and indeed it was. It started pricing in expectations of continuation of U.S current policies on reelection of President Obama. Gold continued rising as the attention then returned to the fiscal cliff and escalating tensions in the Middle East. However, a perceived stalemate on U.S fiscal cliff led to a retracement in gold. The prospects of more stimulus measures are supportive of gold. ECB President Mario Draghi said that the European Central Bank stands ready to activate its bond-purchase program if governments fulfill necessary conditions. President Obama’s r ...

WASHINGTON — President Obama skipped dessert at a long summit meeting dinner in Cambodia on Monday to rush back to his hotel suite. It was after 11:30 p.m. and his mind was on rockets in Gaza rather than Asian diplomacy. He picked up the telephone to call the Egyptian leader who is the new wild card in his Middle East calculations. Over the course of the next 25 minutes, he and President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt hashed through ways to end the latest eruption of violence, a conversation that would lead Mr. Obama to send Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to the region. As he and Mr. Morsi talked, Mr. Obama felt they were making a connection. Three hours later, at 2:30 in the morning, they talked again. The cease-fire brokered between Israel and Hamas on Wednesday was the official unveiling of this unlikely new geopolitical partnership, one with bracing potential if not a fair measure of risk for both men. After a rocky start to their relationship, Mr. Obama has decided to invest heavily in the leade ...

Mission seekers are ready to unleash multiple beefy arguments at President Obama during the upcoming debates. But demanding military action against Iran should not be one of them. Why? Because, it might help President Obama win, not just the second, but also a third term. “He can’t do that; we have the 22nd Amendment,” you quip. Yes, we do. But imagine the destabilization the Iranian war will cause in a region which is home to a nuclear Pakistan, a bleeding Syria, and a wounded Russia. Add to it the perpetual Arab-Israeli conflict, with China and Japan posturing over deserted islands to its right and a mercurial Arab Spring to its left and all you have is red meat. A recent Tel Aviv University poll found over 50 percent of Israelis afraid that a war with Iran would endanger the Jewish state. According to retired Israeli defense officials, a preemptive strike would precipitate an unpredictable Middle East War. If others jumped in and the conflict turned into a Third World War, Americans may prefer to ...
U.S. Muslims, Arab-Americans Urge President to Demand Restoration of Gaza Ceasefire Broken by Israel (WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/15/12) –- A coalition* of American Muslim and Arab-American civil rights, community and advocacy organizations today called on President Obama to demand that Israel restore the ceasefire that it broke with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Since Israel began its latest round of attacks on Gaza, a number of Palestinian and Israeli civilians have been killed, including the 11-month-old son of a BBC journalist. SEE: Journalist's 11-Month-Old Son Killed in Gaza Strikes (Wash. Post) In a statement, the coalition said: "We urge President Obama not to sit on the sidelines as American taxpayer-funded weapons are used to kill civilians -- including babies -- and to destroy the civilian infrastructure in Gaza. Our nation's blind support for Israel's brutal actions has done and continues to do immense harm to America's image and interests in the Middle East and worldwide. "We regret the death or ...

Clinton headed to Jerusalem, Ramallah and Cairo to seek end to Israel/Gaza fighting Published November 20, 2012 Associated Press Sec. Clinton heads to Middle East amid ongoing... Israel vows to keep up offensive against militant... Will there be an Israeli invasion of Gaza? Efforts to end a week-old convulsion of Israeli-Palestinian violence drew in the world's top diplomats on Tuesday, with President Obama dispatching his secretary of state to the region on an emergency mission and the U.N. chief appealing from Cairo for an immediate cease-fire. Israel and Gaza's militant Hamas rulers have staked tough, hard-to-bridge positions, and the gaps keep alive the threat of an Israeli ground invasion. On Tuesday, grieving Gazans were burying militants and civilians killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes, and barrages of rockets from Gaza sent terrified Israelis scurrying to take cover. From Egypt, U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon said he came to the region because of the "alarming situation." "This must stop, immediate step ...
We watched Nightline tonight and they did a report on what is going on in the Middle East. The reporter interviewing the man in Gaza made the comment/question that they would stop shooting rockets into Israel only when Israel stopped shooting rockets into Gaza, to which the man agreed. In other words, they're saying that Israel started it and Gaza is having to defend themselves. However, later in the report, they said that Prime Minister Netanyahu had contacted President Obama today to update him on the situation, and Obama told him that America supports Israel's right to defend themselves. Hm, who's having to defend themselves? Gotcha, liberal news media!
Obama to praise Myanmar's 'progress' during historic visit Friday, November 16, 2012 at 5:56 PM Administration officials said Obama intends to hail the Myanmar's "remarkable progress" toward democratic rule, but he also hopes to push Myanmar leaders for more reform. By David Nakamura ( The Washington Post ) WASHINGTON — A year after his administration signaled it would help Myanmar emerge from decades of repressive military rule, President Obama will make history Monday by becoming the first U.S. president to visit the long-isolated Southeast Asian nation. Obama's gesture, the centerpiece of a four-day trip to the region that will include stops in Thailand and Cambodia, comes as the White House seeks to send another strong message it is serious about its "pivot to Asia" — a rebalancing of U.S. military and economic interests after more than a decade of war in the Middle East. During his six hours in Myanmar, also known as Burma, Obama is scheduled to meet separately with President Thein Sein and democ ...
So let me get this straight: Brian Williams is doing an exposé on the Petraeus sex scandal tonight, and there's been virtually 24-hour coverage and numerous articles posted each day since the story broke. I don't remember there being this much media attention devoted to the Benghazi embassy attack, which has been all but cast aside now by the news stations. The media allowed Cindy Sheehan -- who's son was killed in active duty (and who's funeral she didn't even attend) -- to spew her vitriol about President Bush for years but won't allow the father of one of the troops killed in the embassy attack to be interviewed even tho the records show his squad was denied the support they requested. And now President Obama wants to name Susan Rice -- a woman who for two weeks tried to cover up the Benghazi attack by blaming it on an anti-Islam movie -- as our Secretary of State and John Kerry as our Secretary of Defense??? That oughta show the Middle East we mean business! I bet the Middle East is in full-scale war ...
In the Washington Post, David Ignatius details the decisions President Obama will have to make on China, Iran, Afghanistan, and the Middle East in his second term. He writes:
"Paul Ryan now says that President Obama's Foreign Policy has 'blown up in his face' and it's time to go back to the Republican Foreign Policy. Well, let's see, Obama kept Guantanamo Bay open, the troops are still overseas, and the Middle East hates us. Isn't that the Republican Foreign Policy?" -- Jay Leno, September 27, 2012.
Problems Abound It must not matter to those who elected President Obama for a second term for the following: 1. He paid good money after bad trying to appease a nation dropping into a recession. Giving the money to the very people who created the problems. 2. He toured the Muslim World and bowed down to the Saudi Leader and told them he was “sorry” for America. 3. He sat and watched as the Muslim Brotherhood took over all the countries of the Middle East and Northern Africa with untold violence. 4. He has turned a cold shoulder to the nation of Israel. A nation we have pledged help and security. 5. He sat quietly while our Ambassador and Marines were butchered in Benghazi. 6. He refrained from having the National Day of Prayer, but prayed with the Muslim’s who visited. 7. He cannot buy our country out of debt. 8. He has created a debt that is so large that it will never be paid. 9. He has created an insurance program that will never truly work. It is truly amazing how people can be so fooled yet a ...
