Mortgage Market Commentary: After last week’s small step upward, mortgage rates retreated a bit. We did get another confirmation that the second quarter has solidly rebounded out of the retraction of the first quarter with an adjusted GDP of 4.6%. Experts are predicting that third quarter GDP should be running slightly over 3.0%. While Existing Home Sales did retract a few points, New Home Sales popped to its highest level since May of 2008. The problems in the Middle East and Eastern Europe continue to help make US Treasuries appealing as a safe haven for money seeking government-backed fixed income securities. With Consumer Confidence, the ISM Indices, and the monthly Employment Report due, this week has plenty for markets to digest. If the ISM Manufacturing Index again defies expectations and moves upward, rates will be biased toward moving upward. However, the week will likely end with the Employment Report dictating the direction that rates will trend. If we come up short again, in terms of ...
FYI - Everyone who told me Obama was different than Bush in all the ways that mattered, prior to the '08 election, when I screamed he was the same guy, I'm sorry but you all were right. My apologies. Turns out ol' President Peace Prize is actually MORE bloodthirsty and barbaric than W., and his teleprompter writers actually graduated from the satellite school of the program W's guys graduated from. My bad. In other news, everyone we have in Ukraine/Eastern Europe, and the Middle East at this point, every diplomat and dignitary who are all supposedly progressive dems, appointed/selected by Obama, are all actually intimately connected to (and in some cases, even married to) the neocon repubs who wrote the PNAC documents that have led us down this current path. And Obama still takes advice from HW's right hand man Zbigniew "I was best friends with, and provided weapons and cia clearance to Bin Laden/The Taliban/Al-Qaeda" Brzezinski, and Henry "Satan's little helper" Kissinger. The neocon repubs and progressi ...
I am now strongly seeing multiple signs of a Third World War brewing, very similar to the conditions that caused the initiation of WWI and WWII. Hotspots are Eastern Europe especially Ukraine the Middle East, and the Korean Peninsula. Conditions are ripe for initiation. It is only a matter of time now. I liken it to the analogy of locusts, overcrowding, and environmental pressures, which trigger them to take to the skies, reign and wreck havoc over the landscape. In human terms, lack of resource accessibility, incremental build up of national / political disputes and conflicting interests, continuous social unrest, and other factors, are leading the earth to its boiling point. Prepare for a wave of Death that makes the nightmares of the earlier 20th century look like child's play.

U.S. Foreign Policy is failing. Russia is pushing into Ukraine and threatening Eastern Europe; China is bullying Japan, the Philippines, and Vietnam in the East and South China Seas; and terrorist groups in the Middle East and Africa can be displaced from one location, only to multiply and create more lethal threats in others. Since the end of the Cold War, both Democratic and Republican administrations have, in varying measure, premised policy on the notion that economic incentives and other soft power can cultivate peaceable democracies throughout the world and friendly societies adhering to Western liberal values. The power of the people, once unleashed, is nearly impossible to contain Since the French revolution, the masses have continued to play an important role in changing the political system. In Asia and Africa they struggled against colonialism and fought for freedom. In recent history, there are a number of examples when the masses came out on the streets against dictators and supported those political parties who were struggling for democracy. The contribution of the masses is undeniable in establishing a democratic system based on fundamental rights and justice. Although they have been harassed, tortured and killed by law enforcing agencies, their spirit of resistance could not be crushed. In Eastern Europe, the masses have succeeded in bringing about peaceful revolutions in their countries, while in the Middle East they protested to change the military-dominated governments. However, the outcome was not the establishment of democracy but the setting up of dictatorial government as in the case of Egypt. I ...
the Macedonian ("the Great") died at age 32 on this date in 323 BCE, after conquering large swaths of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. Although he had little actual contact with Jewish leaders (he passed through Judea on his way to and from the conquest of Egypt, and left the Jews to rule themselves), the Talmud and other Jewish philosophical texts tell several tales about the young warrior-emperor, most notably in Tamid 32b, which portrays Alexander arriving at the gate of paradise. "Only the just can enter here," declares a divine being. Alexander replies: "I am a renowned king" and demands a token to show he was there. He is given an eyeball, which, placed on a scale, outweighs all of his treasure. In another tale from the same tractate, Alexander puts ten questions to the "elders of the Negev," which affords the rabbis the chance to trot out various proverbs: "Who is called a mighty man? He who subdues his impulse to evil." "Who is called a rich man? He who rejoices in his lot." In ...

From Michelle Nelson: Obama Ends Asia Trip, Defends His Foreign Policy (4/29/2014 11:21:00 AM) Obama, stung by criticism of his response to turmoil from Eastern Europe to the Middle East, defended his approach to Foreign Policy as a slow but steady pursuit of American interests while avoiding military conflict, and he lashed out at those he said reflexively call for the use of force. Standing next to the Philippine President, Benigno S. Aquino III, during the last stop on his week-long trip to Asia, a visibly frustrated Mr. Obama said that his critics had failed to learn the lessons of the Iraq War. On a day in which he announced new sanctions against Russia for its continued threats to Ukraine, Mr. Obama said his Foreign Policy was based on a workmanlike tending to American priorities that might lack the high drama of a wartime presidency but also avoided ruinous mistakes. Mr. Obama’s statement was a rare insight into a second-term president already sizing up his legacy as a statesman. By turns angry a ...

All of the diabolical machinations in Africa, the middle East and Eastern Europe unfolding today, though they serve other more immediate purposes, are but tactical moves and profiteering to lay the setting for the coming confrontation with China and any other emerging super powers which do not get with the US dominated, Corporatist NWO.

Political, economic and scientific espionage in Sweden is being dominated by Russia, China and Iran, according to the Swedish National Intelligence service, SÄPO's, annual intelligence assessment for 2013. According to the report, out today, the espionage activities of several of these countries is attributable to the economic and political uncertainty throughout the Middle East and in Eastern Europe. Russia has stepped up its intelligence activity because of the crisis in Ukraine, with Moscow increasing its recruiting efforts, electronic surveillance and has also been "purchasing large quantities of maps," SÄPO claims. SÄPO's chief, Anders Thornberg, also said that Swedish citizens are still going to Syria to fight with al-Qaeda, although the numbers have fallen slightly. According to William Young, chief analyst for SÄPO's counter-intelligence division, espionage is not just about gathering information, it is also about threats and violence, as well as influencing opinion and buying knowledge. Anywhere that there is crises and people are being killed, you must see the imprints of the United States of America. Whether in the Middle East, Near East, the Korean Peninsular, Eastern Europe, Latin America etc. In all these places and more the filthy hands of this arrogant imperialist power is evident. When the terrorist regime of 'Israel' assasinated the celebrated Hezbullah commander, Hajj Ridwan, in a cowardly attack the then US President Bush quickly said:"The world will be a better place without Mugniyeh." Ayatullah Sayyed Fadlallah(r) of blessed memory answered that shameless war criminal:"The world would definately be a better place without the White House." Imam Khomeini(r) summarised it all: "USA = Great Satan"

Don Giovanni of West’s international policies: The unrepentant sociopath whose conquests number in the thousands and who remains indifferent to the pain and suffering he’s caused, didn’t just remind me of my ex boyfriend. No, there was something more in his smug hubris, his unabated appetites, something that recalled dramas happening outside the theatre, in the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe. And then it dawned on me: Don Giovanni’s predatory technique of seduction and abandonment is nothing less than the modus operandum of US Foreign Policy. As jilted politicos – from Noriega to the Shah of Iran to Saddam Hussein – can attest, the only thing worse than being an enemy of the US is being a former ally. And yet the amazing thing is, just as with the seductive Don, people keep falling for the same tired old lines. “I think you’re really special, and I want to liberate you. Of course I’m not only interested in your oil fields. Your people deserve an autonomous state.” And le ...

This is so very true considering all the chess-like maneuvers going on all over the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Northern Africa.
Can the Russians afford to remain in the Crimea, invade and occupy the Ukraine; are they that strong financially (economy)? Does their military have the ability to spread into the vast reaches of Eastern Europe as the USSR did post WWII and remain there, long term? Recalling the Soviets invasion of Afghanistan and it's inability to resupply its troops routinely across the old Soviet/ Afghan border (compared to America's ability to resupply routinely and with relative ease, deployments in far away countries), my view is that Putin has brought upon his regime some real economic problems that garrisoned armies don't normally present to the citizens that support them. We shall see. In the short term, will every other dictator, to include North Africa, South America, Middle East, all of Asia, try to match this 'crises' with an invasion of their own ? The Chinese and Iran, principally ... The answers to these questions remain with *** Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, and other former top officials who had the foresi ...

PEACE WITHOUT THE KISS OF PEACE By Francisco S. Tatad Manila Standard Today, Jan. 31, 2014 Amidst the beat of distant drums calling for war in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific, the smallest promise of peace provides a big ray of hope. Thus the signing in Kuala Lumpur last weekend of the “final annex ” to the October 2012 “framework agreement” between the Manila government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front on the creation of a Bangsamoro political entity that would replace the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao gives many people some reason for excitement. But until we read the entire agreement and see how it works, it seems prudent to suspend all bets. As of now, we hardly know enough about it. Even the front-page story in the Jan. 28 issue of the International New York Times reads more like a propaganda buildup for President B. S. Aquino III than a factual report on the agreement. As though the effort to nominate Aquino for the Nobel Peace Prize, as his true believers ...
NATO Needs a Southern Strategy F. Stephen Larrabee, Peter A. Wilson | January 27, 2014 In the first two decades after the end of the Cold War, NATO looked predominantly east, toward Central and Eastern Europe, Ukraine and Russia. Today it is being drawn increasingly south to the Mediterranean, Middle East and Gulf for a simple reason—this is where many of the new challenges are located. If NATO wants to avoid strategic irrelevance, it needs to give increasing attention to the threats from the MENA region and develop a “Southern Strategy.” The southern members of the Alliance, particularly Italy and Spain, have long advocated the development of such a strategy. However, their calls initially received little attention, as NATO’s top priority at the time was the integration of Central and Eastern Europe into Western security structures. Since the completion of the second round of NATO enlargement, however, the Alliance has begun to focus increasing attention on threats from the south. NATO’S SOUTHE ...
10 LIES ABOUT ISRAEL | By Michel Collon 1. The first lie is that Israel was established in reaction to the massacre of Jews during the World War II. This notion is completely wrong. Israel is in fact a domineering project which was approved in the First Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897, when nationalist Jews decided to occupy Palestine. 2. The second justification for establishing and legitimizing Israel is that the Jews are returning to their forefathers' land, from where they had been driven away in 70 A.D. This is a tale. I have spoken to the famous Israeli historian Shlomo Sand and other historians and they all believe that there has been no "exodus," so "return" is meaningless. The people living in Palestine have not left their land in the ancient era. In fact the descendents of Jews residing in Palestine are the people who are currently living in Palestine. Those who claim they want to return to their lands originate for Western and Eastern Europe and Northern Africa. Sand says there ...

The Arab Spring did to the Middle East what WWI did to Russia and Eastern Europe. Al Qaeda, like the Bolsheviks, plans to pick up the pieces. The new Soviet Union may be an Islamic state that stretches across the Middle East while the Salafi preachers and thugs terrorizing Europe play the role of Communist infiltrators in the West. And another world war may be here before we even know it. In 1903 the Bolsheviks were a quarreling band of radicals, in 1923 they had formed the Soviet Union and two decades later they ruled an alliance that reached all the way to Western Europe and was aiming at the conquest of the world. Lenin and Bin Laden built their respective organizations as a base around a core elite that would serve as the revolutionary vanguard. Lenin’s approach produced the Soviet Union. We have yet to see where Bin Laden’s approach will lead.

"Next time on Horders: Ghengis Khan can't stop amassing armies of steppe nomads and invading China, the Middle East and Eastern Europe."
The British Empire was severely weakened by the war. In the Middle East, the war had made Britain conscious of its dependence on Arab oil and it attached more importance to cordial relations with the Arabs than to helping the Jewish people establish a homeland. Shortly after VE Day, the Labour Party won the general election in Britain. Although Labour Party conferences had for years called for the establishment of a Jewish State in Palestine, the Labour government now decided to maintain the 1939 White Paper restrictions. Illegal Jewish immigration and insurgency Buchenwald survivors arrive in Haifa to be arrested by the British, 15 July 1945 Illegal migration (Aliyah Bet) became the main form of Jewish entry into Palestine. Across Europe Bricha ("flight"), an organization of former partisans and ghetto fighters, smuggled Holocaust survivors from Eastern Europe to Mediterranean ports, where small boats tried to breach the British blockade of Palestine. Meanwhile, Jews from Arab countries began moving into ...
Romance is cosmopolitan. By Sandile Swana January 2014 South Africans who are romantically inclined and our youth who are looking for marriage partners have to address themselves to the variety offered by the rainbow nation. Firstly we have a growing immigrant population from Eastern Europe; Asia; the Americas; Middle East ; Australia and Africa as a whole. Secondly we have more than 13 main language groups spread across four so-called racial categorisations namely white; coloured; Asian and African. I do not believe colour defines Africanity nor does the texture of hair define Africanity. At this stage we have just about the same number of people of mixed race as we have white people about 4.2m each, confirming that over the past 6 centuries or so there has been interracial and inter-cultural marriages; romances and illicit sexual affairs as it must be when male meets female. Romance is colour blind and it can just manifest at any time without regard to any body’s convenience. The Portuguese under the ...
Ben Fulford end of the 2013 news roundup... "The recent EU attempt to take over the Ukraine failed this year and instead Putin is now on the offensive in Eastern Europe, offering oil and gas in exchange for partnership. With the failure of the attempt to take over Syria by the fascist Saudis and their Zionist allies, and with the installation of a pro-Russian regime in Egypt, Russia in 2013 became undeniably the chief Power Broker in the Middle East. That means Russia is now in a position to take over the battered but still almighty petrodollar. However, there is still a lot to be done before the fascist Zionists are permanently removed from power..."

The Chinese government's response was denounced, particularly by Western governments and media. Criticism came from both Western and Eastern Europe, North America, Australia and some west Asian and Latin American countries. Overseas Chinese students demonstrated in many cities in Europe, America, the Middle East and Asia. There was a significant impact on the Chinese economy after the incident. Foreign loans to China were suspended by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and foreign governments; tourism revenue decreased from US$2.2 billion to US$1.8 billion.

Mapping How Workers Adjust to Trade Shocks Labor-market frictions, such as the costs for moving, firing and hiring, make labor adjustment costly. That’s why trade shocks, which affect wage and employment, can hurt the economy. In a recent working paper, Erhan Artuç, Daniel Lederman and *** Porto use an “estimator” to quantify the impact of the labor-mobility costs in developing countries. On average, the lifetime impact of such costs are equivalent to nearly five times the annual income for the average worker, which varies significantly across regions (5.45 times the income in South Asia, 5.34 in Latin America, 4.96 in Eastern Europe, 4.40 in Middle East and North Africa, 4.26 in Sub-Saharan Africa, and 3.30 in East Asia). Labor-mobility costs are negatively correlated with per capita gross domestic product, educational attainment and school quality, but they are positively associated with other costs and economic distortions. Labor-mobility costs can take a toll on the economy. It can take six y . ...
FOOD & WINE Little Pepper, Big Flavor NOVEMBER 4, 2013 AT 3:58 PM0 COMMENTS The oft-forgotten paprika, the brightly-colored spice boasting plenty of zest, is the star of gourmet dishes around the world. By Bret Love Used in a broad variety of cuisines from the United States and Europe to the Middle East, paprika is the adventurer of spices—as well-traveled as it is underrated. And, because it comes in a cornucopia of colors, flavors, and heat levels, paprika can be used in almost any dish that needs an extra dash of zest. Very little is known about the earliest origins of paprika—which is made from ground dried fruits of Capsicum annuum—or how it made its way from the Western Hemisphere into Eastern Europe, where it remains most popular today. Dried peppers. A display of the spectrum of paprika colors. Some historians believe the Ottoman Turks acquired chili peppers from traders in the Mediterranean when they invaded central Europe in the early 1500s. Others suggest that the Turks discovered peppers ...
MSM in Lebanon: A Look at Current HIV Prevention and Sexual Health Initiatives Johnny Tohme discusses the current state of health among MSM in Lebanon, examining HIV, mental health, and the impact of recent developments in *** rights According to the latest UNAIDS report, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region and Eastern Europe are the only two regions experiencing a great rise in the HIV epidemic. Many countries in the MENA region, especially Lebanon, cannot count on governmental programs for proper planning to address HIV in generally, let alone among men who have sex with men (MSM). Local communities and nonprofit organizations must take the lead in planning and implementation of HIV prevention efforts. The Lebanese National AIDS Program (NAP) with all good intentions but limited resources, joined efforts with several public health organizations and turned them into Voluntary Counseling & Testing (VCT) Centers. Even if these centers have the logistical tools (guides, protocols, etc.) to cater ...
Some facts about human trafficking in children: UNICEF estimates that 1,000 to 1,500 Guatemalan babies and children are trafficked each year for adoption by couples in North America and Europe. Girls as young as 13 (mainly from Asia and Eastern Europe) are trafficked as “mail-order brides.” In most cases these girls and women are powerless and isolated and at great risk of violence. Large numbers of children are being trafficked in West and Central Africa, mainly for domestic work but also for sexual exploitation and to work in shops or on farms. Nearly 90 per cent of these trafficked domestic workers are girls. Children from Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana are trafficked to Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Gabon. Children are trafficked both in and out of Benin and Nigeria. Some children are sent as far away as the Middle East and Europe. Sexual exploitation Sexual activity is often seen as a private matter, making communities reluctant to act and intervene in cases of sexual exploitation. These ...

This is a shocking revelation, since the world has been controlled by individual sovereign nations since the Tower of Babel 5,000 years ago. Today, there are over 170 sovereign nations in the world today. A new governmental structure is being silently erected over these 170+ sovereign nations. Before our very eyes, a new government is being erected; this plan, originally published in 1974 in "Mankind At The Turning Point", is being implemented ...
If you fly for two hours due east of Istanbul, you land in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.  If you drop due south on the same longitude, you end up in Baghdad Iraq.  While the country forms a northern ‘skirt’ to the Middle East, don’t doubt that when you’re in Tbilisi, you’re in a European city.  It is 1,300 km’s from the most eastern point of the continental EU yet you could be in the heart of the old Eastern Europe.  Though Georgia was occupied for 300 years by the Turks, very few remnants of their domination are left.  The Turks were followed by 200 years of Russian/Soviet rule but again, few hallmarks of that occupation remain.  However, one remaining remnant of the Islamic period is the lounge lizard mentality so often seen in Islamic countries.  Middle aged males passing the middle of the day in group idleness is on display.   A telling sign of the Georgian historical experience is that the capital city Tbilisi was founded 1,500 years ago yet there are hardly any buildings older ...
source: slit your throat on Jolo," people told Col. Jim Linder, head of a U.S. military task force in the Philippines. He recalled the prediction as we buzzed toward Jolo Island in a helicopter. Linder, a 45-year-old South Carolina native who has the remnants of a Southern drawl, has led Special Forces operations in the Middle East, Central and South America, Eastern Europe and Africa for the past 20 years. His latest assignment is the remote 345-square-mile island at the southernmost edge of the vast Philippines archipelago. Jolo is a known haven for Al Qaeda-linked terrorist groups, including Abu Sayyaf, or "Bearer of the Sword," which has used the island for 15 years to train terrorists and to coordinate attacks. Curiously, Jolo was also one of the first places where the United States ever battled Muslim insurgents. On March 7, 1906, less than a decade after the United States seized the Philippines in the Spanish-American War, the people of Jolo—known as Moros, after the Spanish for Moors—revolte . ...

The Revived Ottoman Empire? The Ottoman Empire existed from 1299 until 1922. It was in many respects the Islamic successor to the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire and like the Roman Empire it had its headquarters in Constantinople (Istanbul). At the peak of its power and influence, the Ottoman Empire extended from the Adriatic Sea in the west to the Caspian Sea in the east and from Austro-Hungary in the north to the southern tip of the Red Sea. It was at the center of interactions between the Eastern and Western worlds for 6 centuries. The Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War 1, having aligned itself with Germany. Its dissolution at the end of the war led to the formation of 40 new nations in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Northern Africa, many of them on land once claimed by the Romans. Suleiman The Magnificent The Empire’s greatest days occurred under the rule of Suleiman the Magnificent who reigned from 1520-1566. Only 25 years old when he came to power, Suleiman began his reign by performin ...
Cover Story: The Holy Alliance This article originally appeared in TIME Magazine on Monday, Feb. 24, 1992 By CARL BERNSTEIN Only President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II were present in the Vatican Library on Monday, June 7, 1982. It was the first time the two had met, and they talked for 50 minutes. In the same wing of the papal apartments, Agostino Cardinal Casaroli and Archbishop Achille Silvestrini met with Secretary of State Alexander Haig and Judge William Clark, Reagan's National Security Adviser. Most of their discussion focused on Israel's invasion of Lebanon, then in its second day; Haig told them Prime Minister Menachem Begin had assured him that the invasion would not go farther than 25 miles inside Lebanon. But Reagan and the Pope spent only a few minutes reviewing events in the Middle East. Instead they remained focused on a subject much closer to their heart: Poland and the Soviet dominance of Eastern Europe. In that meeting, Reagan and the Pope agreed to undertake a clandestine campai ...

To me, travel is all about people and culture. I've been to only four countries, but sometimes I feel as if I've flown around the world just because of the diversity of friends in my life. I'm way oversimplifying regions, but.. Since 2009, I have hosted a friend from each major part of the US, as well as one or more friends from Canada, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, the UK, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Eastern Africa. Tomorrow, Western Africa gets added to the list with the arrival of Patrick Utomi, who I haven't seen in more than 2 years. Australia and Antarctica, you're next. Etiquette is usually different, but an enjoyment of laughter is ALWAYS the same. Thank you to everyone for all that you've taught me about the world! Can't wait for the day I host and learn from a penguin!!!
Misplaced Minister: Ireland and Israel’s Alan Shatter March 2, 2013 For the past two years Ireland’s immigration policy has been in the hands of Alan Shatter, a Jew and an outspoken partisan of Israel. Alan Shatter, born and bred in Dublin of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe, has made it Irish policy to increase Third World immigration to the Emerald Isle. As Minister of Justice, Equality, and Defence, Shatter is exerting his considerable clout to skew the Republic’s Middle East policy, formerly supportive of the Palestinians and critical of Israel, toward Zionist aims. Before Shatter, the Irish government had taken steps to reduce non-European immigration, including abolishing automatic citizenship for children born to foreigners in Ireland and drastically reducing the admission of asylum seekers. Since taking office in early 2011, after his Fine Gael party ousted the ruling Fianna Fail amid Ireland’s continuing economic woes, Shatter has busied himself with increasing the numbers of African ...

Global investment banks based in Europe and the U.S., facing regulatory and cost-cutting pressures at home, are losing market share in emerging economies to smaller domestic competitors. Credit Suisse Group AG, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup Inc. are among Western securities firms seeing the biggest erosion in some developing markets, according to data compiled by Freeman & Co., a New York-based consulting company. Their share of investment-banking fees is being diluted by local banks including Brazil’s Grupo BTG Pactual SA, Russia’s VTB Capital and China’s Citic Securities Co., the data show. The share of fees for U.S. and Western European firms in Latin America, the Middle East, China, India, Russia and Eastern Europe plunged to 43 percent last year from 69 percent in 2005, according to Freeman. The shift coincides with a decline in lending by European banks in emerging markets, making it harder to compete for assignments, the data show.

FUTURE OF COMPUTING INCLUDES MORE LAPTOPS THAN DESKTOPS Market research firm IDC says that desktop PC growth is on enough of a decline … The market share of notebook computers is poised to overtake desktop market share in the near future, according to market research firm IDC. The firm expects that desktop volume will continue to grow through 2013, but only by "low, single-digit" rates, and that portable computers will make up over 50 percent of all client PCs by 2015. Mature markets like the US and most of Europe will continue to lead the way with notebook adoption—and conversely, declining desktop growth—but emerging markets will fuel desktop sales for some time, says IDC. Most of Asia (aside from Japan) as well as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe currently represent over 50 percent of desktop PC shipments and are expected to continue to consume over half of those shipments in 2013 as well. "Essentially all desktop growth will occur in emerging regions," said ...

Narcotics Anonymous sprang from the Alcoholics Anonymous Program of the late 1940s, with meetings first emerging in the Los Angeles area of California, USA, in the early Fifties. The NA program started as a small US movement that has grown into one of the world's oldest and largest organizations of its type. For many years, NA grew very slowly, spreading from Los Angeles to other major North American cities and Australia in the early 1970s. In 1983, Narcotics Anonymous published its self-titled Basic Text book, which contributed to tremendous growth. Within a few years, groups had formed in Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, the Irish Republic, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Today, Narcotics Anonymous is well established throughout much of the Americas, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Newly formed groups and NA communities are now scattered throughout the Indian subcontinent, Africa, East Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. To know that, Israel (Palestine) depends totally on the United States for existence, is to understand the "why" now the Israelite's are trying to claim the America's as being the first pioneers! Since the establishment of the Jewish State in 1948, the United States has expressed its commitment to Israel's security and well-being and has devoted a considerable share of its world-wide economic and security assistance. There are two distinct groups of Jews living in Palestine. The Sephardic Jews from the Middle East and North Africa; the Ashkenazim (singular, Ashkenazi) Jews from Eastern Europe. The Sephardic is the oldest group and are the Jews described in the Bible. They are blood relatives to the Arabs - The only difference between them is religion. The Ashkenazim Jews comprise 90 percent of the Jews in the world. According to historians, the Ashkenazim Jews came into existence about 1200 years ago. Important message from the George W. Bush Presidential Foundation: Tuesday’s attacks on United States diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt point to the continuing challenges facing the Arab world. The murder of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three others at the consulate in Benghazi has led some to question whether supporting the wave of change sweeping the Middle East merits support. But as the experience of Central and Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall shows, it takes years to transform a dictatorship into a democracy. The institutions of a democratic government, a free market economic system and a vibrant civil society need time and a sustained commitment to develop. The death of Ambassador Stevens and three others reminds us that the road to democracy and pluralism is often a rocky one. Violent extremists further complicate this already difficult path. But Ambassador Stevens was playing a central role in helping reformers in Libya steer their country in a new directio ...

(Revelation 13:1 NIV) On September 17, 1973, The Club of Rome, released a Report called the "Regionalized and Adaptive Model of the Global World System" which was prepared by Directors Mihajlo Mesarovic and Eduard Pestel as part of the "Strategy for Survival Project". This revealed the Club's goal of dividing the world into ten political/economic regions... which would unite the entire world under a single form of government. These regions are: North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Japan, Rest of Developed World, Latin America, Middle East, Rest of Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and China. The same plan was published in a Club of Rome book called Mankind at the Turning Point, which said: "The solution of these crises can be developed only in a global context with full and explicit recognition of t ...

Rightardia is a blogpsot blog with the following banner: This blog is dedicated to progressive and liberal thought. Rightardia fully supports the rights of workers to organize and all Americans regardless or ethnicity or gender. It uses humor, satire and parody to expose conservative thought for what it truly is: BS! Rightardia contributes to the DCCC, DSCC and MoveOn.Org. We have a partisan view and have no interest in debating conservatives on this page. There are plenty of other places on the Internet for that. So if you are a conservative, a ditto head , Tea Partier, or other assorted wing nut, this isn't the place for you.

More on Historical Warfare: The Mongol Invasion of Europe This was actually the 3rd theater of combat for the Mongols after Genghis Khan united all the clans of Mongolia into one huge army. The first one being China where the Song Dynasty crumbled under the weight of the Mongolian Horsemen; the 2nd was in the Middle East. This story was also very interesting as well. It was said that the Mongol leader sent an envoy to a kingdom in what is now Iraq, asking the sultan for permission to trade. The sultan sent back a message - the head of his envoy. This prompted the Mongols to travel all the way from China to the Middle East just to storm the sultan's kingdom and massacred everyone. The Mongols stayed there for quite some time after. The 3rd theater of combat would be Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Some historians actually downplay the macrohistorical significance of my earlier post, saying that the invasion of Europe was just to scare the western powers from invading them in Ukraine. At any rate, the invasion ...

A battle between secularist and Islamist forces will dictate what happens next in the Middle East according to according to Britain's former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Speaking on the BBC's Andrew Marr show he said the Arab Spring was not analogous to the fall of the Berlin Wall. "People from Eastern Europe looked over the wall. There was a united view of what they wanted. They wanted what we had in Western Europe and by and large they got it," he claimed. Blair added: "In the this region there are two very different views as to what comes next after you lift the lid on these dictatorships. One that is very much secular and modernising, liberal-minded. The other is very much based on a religious view of society." Blair, Middle East envoy to the US, EU, Russia and the UN, said such views were irreconcilable. We have got to remain engaged with this process. We should be supporting a programme of evolution across this region. We should understand that revolution will throw up, these very dangerous and toxic ...
Why you have all been brainwashed to hate and resent Greece.. Do not believe me? Henry Kissinger, US's German born-Jewish Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, head of the US Foreign Policy during hated president Nixon's reign, in Washington DC, September 1974 said: "The Greek people are anarchic and difficult to tame. For this reason we must strike deep into their cultural roots. Perha...ps then we can force them to conform. I mean of course to strike at their language, their religion, their cultural and historical reserves, so that we can neutralise their ability to develop, thereby removing them as an obstacle to our strategically vital plans in the Balkans, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East." 1. Ancient times - Birthplace of science, western civilisation, paved the path for European achievements, fighting off the east as the front line to Europe by Spartans, Macedonians and other Greek states. Let Europe become what it is today. 2. Christian era - Spread Orthodoxy to Eastern Europe throu ...
Shabbat shalom! And good Shabbas! There are 2 main forms of Hebrew and 2 main types of Jews: Ashkenazi anne Sephardic. Sephardic Jews (and Hebrew) are those which dwelled in the Middle East, Africa, and Spain. Ashkenazi Jews are mainly the ones from Eastern Europe. This includes German, Russian, Lithuanian, Polish Jews, etc. The two different dialects of Ashkenazi and Sephardic come from the Jewish diaspora. A diaspora is when a group of prime are exiled into foreign nations. The Jews have been gone from their homeland since the Roman destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem in 70CE. The Sephardic Jews (Middle Eastern and Spanish) often have darker hair and features than Ashkenazi (Eastern European) because of intermarriage with native populations. The main difference in their Hebrew is how they pronounce the Hebrew letter "tav." Sephardic pronounce it as a "T," while Ashkenaz pronounce it like an "S." I think the Sephardic sounds better and is also the language used in Kabbalah. For example, we say "kether ...
U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency head warns of Iranian attack Lt. Gen. Ronald Burgess, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, has issued a grim warning to the Senate Armed Services Committee regarding Iran’s ability to strike the U.S. and other targets with advanced missiles. U.S. forces in the Middle East, including those stationed in Afghanistan, Bahrain, and Kuwait are within range of Iranian missiles right now, and Iran is quickly developing even longer range weapons. Commenting on the general’s briefing, RAND Corporation analyst Alireza Nader said, "Iran does have missiles capable of hitting U.S. facilities in the Persian Gulf, and notably, in Afghanistan, and it is known to be in development of long-range missiles that could reach Eastern Europe. It has a pretty robust missile program."
In 1206 AD Genghis Khan began the Mongol invasion: a horse-crazed bow-wielding military force that swept through much of modern-day Asia into the Middle East and Eastern Europe. But aside from creating the world's largest empire, the Mongol invasion had another global impact that has remained hidden...
