Boehner insists that sequestration is Obama's fault but the congressmembers who leading the opposition to it when Boehner rammed it through Congress were progressive Caucus leaders Raul Grijalva, Keith Ellison, Donna Edwards, Chellie Pingree, Jim McDermott, Dennis Kucinich, John Lewis, Jerry Nadler, Barney Frank, Jan Schakowsky, Xavier Becerra, Judy Chu, Ed Markey, John Yarmuth, Brad Miller, Yvette Clarke, Barbara Lee... and the Republicans who voted with them against this? Outliers like Ron Paul, Tom McClintock, Michele Bachmann, Todd Akin, Louie Gohmert, Paul Broun, Joe Walsh, Jeff Duncan, Mo Brooks, Lynn Westmoreland, Steve King, *** Mulvaney, Justin Amash, the freaks and loons that the GOP Establishment would like to muzzle and neutralize.
One of the benefits of living in Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District is getting to see campaign commercials for candidates in other districts whom we can't vote for. I've learned so much already -- for example, that some Democratic members of Congress actually voted to raise their own salaries (something I'm sure Republicans would never do) and that -- OMG -- some Democrats are in favor of Obamacare. i mean, who knew? Thanks for enlightening us, Michele Bachmann and Chip Cravaack. It's sad that our own representative, Keith Ellison, doesn't need to run attack ads and that his opponent, Chris Fields, can't afford to. Keith could be a closet jihadist and we'd never know.

Michele Bachmann has made a career out of inflammatory comments, but this time she’s gone too far. Last week, Bachmann baselessly attacked Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin and Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison, accusing them of having connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. So far, Congresswoman Bachmann is showing no sign of relenting with her McCarthy-like attacks against these public servants. You would assume that such a strong accusation against a standing U.S. Congressman and top State Department official would be backed by some strong evidence. Instead, Bachmann has only given us a bumbling, shameless account by six degrees of separation. Outrageous conspiracy theories may exist in the dark corners of the internet, but they don’t belong in the halls of Congress. Even the Tea Party deserves to have smarter representatives than Michelle Bachmann.

.Michele Bachmann fires off a 16-Page Bombshell to Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison By admin on July 15, 2012 in Blog, General Yes, there is a Huma Abedin angle to this story but a certain Muslim Congressman seems to be in the middle of digging himself a bit of a hole. On July 12th, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Muslim-MN) sent a two-page letter to the five congressmen who sent five separate letters to five separate Inspectors General on June 13th. The June 13th letters raised serious concerns about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration inside the U.S. Government. Among the concerns raised with the OIG at the State Department are the familial connections of Hillary Clinton’s closest aide – Huma Abedin – to the Muslim Brotherhood. Ellison attempted to pit Bachmann against Republicans like Herman Cain and Chris Christie by pointing out that her source in the June 13th letters seemed to be one person – Frank Gaffney. Gaffney has rightfully been very critical of said Republicans in the past for their comments and ...
