So according to this and your logic. Karl Malone > Michael Jordan
bro you cannot compare Michael Jordan to Karl Malone and Charles Barkley..you literally can't do that
I bet Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning wishes Michael Jordan was never born. They could have had rings.
Today in 1997 Karl Malone is named NBA MVP. Michael Jordan is tight, says "I'll see you in the Finals!"
Why LeBron got more help than Karl Malone but we slander Karl for losing twice to Michael Jordan?
When Kevin Garnett was a rookie: Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon was still in the NBA.
The voters get bored, right? I've already won so I can't win again. It's like Michael Jordan losing the MVP to Karl Malone.
just like Michael Jordan thought he should've won the MVP over Charles Barkley and Karl Malone them years
Down 1 in Game 6 his last Finals, Michael Jordan strips Karl Malone and hits the game winner for ring number 6!

Mo Williams, Michael Jordan, and Karl Malone can all be used in the same sentence now.
Random Thought: Tim Duncan might not have had the global impact on the game that Michael Jordan did or save the NBA the way Magic Johnson and Larry Bird did, but I don't remember them having the impact on the rest of the league building their teams the way Tim Duncan did. In other words, I don't remember one player causing so many teams to make major moves because of him like The Big Fundamental has. Here are some examples: -2003: Karl Malone & Gary Payton to the Lakers, Antawn Jamison & Antione Walker to the Mavericks, Latrell Spreewell & Sam Cassell to the T-Wolves, and Brad Miller to the Kings. -2008: The Pau Gasol trade to the Lakers and Shaq trade to the Suns in 2008. -Dwight Howard being drafted by the Magic and Greg Oden being drafted by the Blazers. -The Twin Towers epidemic from around 2007-2010. -Even the Big 3 phenomenon started to heat back up after the Spurs won it all in 2007. If there is anybody else that has had this much of an impact on the landscape of the NBA, at least in the modern er ...
ICYMI: Michael Jordan had one simple message for Kobe after passing him in points recently: Go get Karl Malone.
After passing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list, MJ encouraged Kobe Bryant to pass Karl Malone, who's currently 4,563 points ahead of Kobe.
Durant is young STILL, and LeBron took some years to get it together... Michael Jordan is responsible for Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Kevin Johnson, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Jeff Hornbeck, John Stockton... All great Hall Of Fame players. That have NO RING because of Michael Jordan... Even Clyde Drexler, Hakeem Olajuwon, and David Robinson ONLY HAVE RINGS BECAUSE JORDAN RETIRED!!! Didn't okay against the same talent?? Come on. Not to mention he had to deal with Bird, Magic, Worthy, McHale, Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dominique Wilkins (even though he was just a good dunker) and Bill Lambier, and even played AGAINST Dennis Rodman and had to get past HIM. What do you mean he didn't have to play against the same talent? Lol via Tre Moneyneversleeps Welcher

Karl Malone is better than Michael Jordan.that's exactly what I think when this Peyton Manning vs Joe Montana discussion.
John Hamm is Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, or David Robinson's Bryan Cranston is Michael Jordan. Hamm is always second beat.
Four years ago, Cleveland Cavs fans were hating LBJ and wishing death threats on the man, while the Miamians were rejoicing because they just landed the greatest player in the world. Now the tables have turned and both cities are flip flopping their feelings. Although LBJ is the greatest player in the world, bruh ain't loyal. The NBA fixed it so that dude can have his way. Because everybody knows that Milwaukee was supposed to get the pick in the draft. If anything, Cleveland should've had a pick between 4-7 with their odds. Let's talk legends: Mikan, Cousey, Russell, Chamberlain, Jerry West, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Dr. J, Bird, Magic, Worthy, Isiah Thomas, Hakeem, Scottie, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, his "airness" Michael Jordan and even D-Wade did it in "One" Franchise!!! Constantly moving around doesn't always work unless you're Robert Horry. Ask Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Shaq. Yes Shaq did it with Lakers and Heat and even smelled it with the Magic. The Bottom Line is, "LBJ a ...
"David Robinson, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone? It's like summer in the ghetto.". -Charles Barkley
Well after collecting basketball cards for a few months in addition to having over five thousand cards all together, I know have recently acquired 92 Michael Jordan cards, in addition to my five Kobe Bryant rookie cards, 1 John Stockton rookie PSA and countless other stars such as Stockton, Clyde, Wilkins, Shaq, Penny, Magic, BIrd, Barkely, Karl Malone, Pippin, Kemp, and so many more! I must say I'm quite pleased, and I'm not even done yet! xD lol
*** this man Michael Jordan the reason John Stockton, Karl Malone, and Charles Barkley never won a ring
"17 years ago today, Michael Jordan won his 5th NBA title, beating the Stockton-Malone led Jazz." rough memories?
He wouldn't, not enough basketballs to go around. With so much talent assembled in one place, I don't think NBA would be happy if this proposed union would actually take place. They tried this same thing with the 2003-04 Lakers which had All Stars Shaquille O'neal, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone, Gary Payton as well as other well known players coming off the bench. That team was assembled to win a championship that season and it turned out to be a disaster. So is this what it has come to? The NBA of today is so watered down (See Eastern Conference) that our so called superstars cannot win on mediocre teams and feel that the only chance for them to have a real chance at a Championship is to join forces. I liked it back in the 80's and 90's when there were so many great teams and players (ask Michael Jordan) did not even entertain the thought of playing with other stars of their era because they wanted to beat the best player(s), not play with them. Because of free agency and the huge contracts, those days of pla ...
Michael Jordan wouldn't have played through that nor would Kobe, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Kenny Smith, Karl Malone, Isiah or anybody else.
If I to got meet 5 NBA players it would be Michael Jordan, Tracy Mcgrady, Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, and Karl Malone in this order 🏀😌👌
I saw this on ballislife.com a few days ago and its got me thinking. how would i make my team. You are given a limit of $15 to select 5 players (1 player for each position). Each player is given a specific value. How would you go and build your team? Here are the players, values in there respective positions: PG - Magic Johnson($5), Oscar Robertson($4), Isiah Thomas($3), John Stockton($2), Walt Frazier($1) SG - Michael Jordan($5), Kobe Bryant($4), Jerry West($3), Clyde Drexler($2), Dwayne Wade($1) SF - Lebron James($5), Larry Bird($4), Julius Erving($3), Kevin Durant($2), Scottie Pippen($1) PF - Karl Malone($5), Charles Barkley($4), Tim Duncan($3), Dirk Nowitzki($2), Kevin Garnett($1) C - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar($5), Bill Russell($4), Wilt Chamberlain($3), Shaquille O'Neal($2), Hakeem Olajuwon($1) I an trying to figure my team out. *** .
glen rice was 3rd in NBA in scoring one year behind Karl Malone and Michael Jordan.
Let me show you how NBA players have changed over the years. I'm about to name off some of great players from back in the days: Larry Bird, Isiah Thoams, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, David Robinson, Pat Ewing, Charles Barkley, Julius Erving, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dominique Wilkins, Wilt Chamberlin, George Gervin, Pistol Pete Maverick. Now I'm about to name off the "Great Players" of today: Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dewayne Wade, Kevin Durante, Paul George, Russell Westbrook(Maybe).do you see the difference?
I would carry this one around too but I don't wanna get robbed of my Karl Malone and Michael Jordan cards
The Donation of Michael Jordan The Dennis Rodman was joined by the brand Bulls. The team spent the season on winning scores. And at the same time they obtained the most excellent score in the history. It would be a coincidence that Michael Jordan won the championship once again at the Father's Day. At the end of the math, Michael Jordan firmly held on the basketball sitting at the United Center and he gave way to his feelings. Sadness permeated among people, when they heard Michael Jordan's crying. The most valuable player of the regular season, all-star season and Nba Finals was got by Michael Jordan in his basketball career of this year. Before him, only two people who are Willis Reed and O' Neal made such achievements separately in 1970 and 2000. Even if Karl Malone got the MVP of 96-97 regular seasons, Michael Jordan won this title back soon. And this honor belonged to Michael Jordan all the time. Michael Jordan guided Bulls to defeat Utah and ascend to the top. Even though Michael Jordan got the seri ...

SPIKE LEE'S RECENT RACIST RANT ABOUT GENTRIFICATION (Please take a moment to go directly to Matt's Savant Society for Emerging Minority Conservatives -- like, comment, and most of all: celebrate the rising 2014 racial diversity within the GOP and our conservative movement. Thanks, my fellow intrepid Group members.) Today's Commentary: Spike Lee does not like whites moving into Black neighborhoods, but he likely does not want to hear the same from whites who do not want Blacks moving into their neighborhoods. As TIME Magazine says in an eloquent editorial rebuttal, Mr. Lee goes against the grain of the GOP-written Civil Rights Act intended to bring us all together 45 years ago. One can only assume he does not like Black multi-millionaire celebrities like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan or Diana Ross living among the filthy white rich. He must lose sleep over our integrated Capitol, Washington, DC; where whites, Blacks, Jewish and other minorities routinely live on the same block together. .. ...
Make it Michael Jordan and Karl Malone. Kobe and Lebron would be done.
Today In Sport's History: Feb 26, 1996: Stockton gets 11,000th NBA assist. On this day in 1996, the Utah Jazz’s point guard John Stockton gets his 11,000th assist in the NBA. When Stockton retires from basketball in 2003, he leaves with 15,806 career assists, a record that still stands. Stockton attended Gonzaga University and in 1984 was drafted by the Utah Jazz, where he would spend his entire career. The 6’1” point guard was the 16th overall pick in that year’s draft, which also included Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. Stockton got his first NBA assist on November 26, 1984, and his 1,000th assist on April 5, 1986. During the 1987-1988 season, he made 1,128 assists, setting a record for most assists in one season. Isiah Thomas had previously held the record with 1,123 assists. On February 1, 1995, Stockton shattered the NBA record for career assists--9,921--which had belonged to Magic Johnson. Stockton earned a reputation as hard-working, consistent and the ultimate team player. During his 1 ...
New York Knick player under arrest for second and third degree weapon possession. I say get rid of him. Charles Barkley mentioned that David Stern left a legacy of getting the NBA to a higher reputation than ever. I highly disagree. The 90's had BY FAR more players who I admired both on and off the court who also had loyalty. Players like David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler, Gary Payton, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Grant Hill, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Mitch Richmond, Kevin Johnson, Dan Marjerle, Penny Hardaway, Joe Dumars, Alonzo Mourning, Dominique Wilkins. The list goes on and on. Players who played with fundamentals, weren't show offs and stayed out of trouble. You had three quality Dream Teams. I don't remember growing up watching so many players get arrested, getting DUI's, etc. the only way to reverse the trend is to not tolerate it.
Karl Malone dunks on Michael Jordan and Horace Grant in a triple overtime classic in 1992.
If Lebron James and Dwayne Wade played against Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in a two on two game. John Stockton and Karl Malone would kill all of them
Bob Pettit and Kobe Bryant are the only two players to win the All-Star Game MVP four times. Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O'Neal have each won the award three times, while Bob Cousy, Julius Erving, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Allen Iverson, and Lebron James have all won the award twice. James' first All-Star MVP in 2006 made him the youngest to have ever won the award at the age of 21.[4] Four of the games had joint winners—Elgin Baylor and Pettit in 1959, John Stockton and Malone in 1993, O'Neal and Tim Duncan in 2000, as well as Bryant and O'Neal in 2009. O'Neal became the first player in All-Star history to share two MVP awards. The Los Angeles Lakers have had eleven winners while the Boston Celtics have had eight. Duncan of the U.S. Virgin Islands is the only winner not born in the United States.
“It wasn’t even really my type of game when I was young,” Nowitzki said, “so it definitely isn’t my type of game now that I’m old.” Nowitzki has never been an entertainer, not a guy who fills up highlight reels with astonishing athletic feats. He’s a hardwood artist, a revolutionary player who requires a certain level of basketball sophistication to fully appreciate. This 12th All-Star appearance was no lifetime achievement award from the Western Conference coaches. Nowitzki remains one of the most impactful offensive players in the league, and precious few have been so good while being so old. He’s on pace to join Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Elgin Baylor, Alex English and Michael Jordan as the only players in NBA history to average at least 21 points per game at age 35 and older. God! i love this man!
Tim Duncan joined Michael Jordan + Karl Malone as the only players 37 or older w/ 30 pts, 10 reb + 5 ast in a game over …
CARMELO SCORED 62 : With 13 rebounds, Anthony became the sixth player since 1990 to notch 60 points and 10 boards, joining Tracy Mcgrady, David Robinson, Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, and Michael Jordan. Additionally, his 10 free throws ranked and the second-fewest in the 30 60-point games since 1963-64, with only Rick Barry's five vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on March 26, 1974 beating him out. The shot chart shows, Anthony scored from virtually every spot on the court
Players who have scored 26K+ points with 1 team: Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Havlicek, Dirk Nowtizki
26,000 points for Nowitzki From Elias: Dirk Nowitzki scored 38 points - including the 26,000th of his career - in the Mavericks' home loss to the Rockets on Wednesday night. All of Nowitzki's points have come in a Mavericks uniform making him one of six players in NBA history to score 26,000 points with one franchise, joining Karl Malone (Jazz), Kobe Bryant (Lakers), Michael Jordan (Bulls), Hakeem Olajuwon (Rockets) and John Havlicek (Celtics).
Guys. I just figured out that Garth Brooks is the Michael Jordan of country music. Or maybe the Karl Malone. I don't really understand sports.
Life goes on. Review the boxing between Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson, the basketball between Karl Malone and Michael Jordan, the sprint between Tyson *** and Usain Bolt. Sports are almost the whole enjoyment in teenager age. Making friends in it. Something are already history. Look forward. Like sometimes old friends and us may go apart. However, look forward. Hope each friends fine. It's not about money, money, money.
A new year means a new shoe design from Nike and Air Jordan. Nike Basketball was heading into a different direction with foamposite, shox, and big air bubbles in shoes. What can the Air Jordan 12 do to compete? Believe it or not the AJ XII got started with a woman's fashion shoe from the 19th century called "Nisshoki". Michael is big on fashion, and he knows women have a lot of it. He did not care if you made fun of him for wearing a women's wrist band or something else feminine. Air Jordan XII History On the Air Jordan 12 there was more than just the women's high heel for inspiration, but also the Japanese Rising Sun flag played a big role in the making. Air Jordan XII HistoryThe stitching down the sides resemble sun rays. If you look at past Air Jordan sneakers, you will notice the famous "23" located somewhere on the model. On the Air Jordan 12 Michael wanted a different look with his number 23. So an idea came to Michael Jordan to have 23 written down the tongue, written like this: Two 3. A lot of go ...

Michael Jordan hit 25 game winning shots. At least one of those won the NBA title for the Chicago Bulls. I never once heard him start off the interview with I am the best basketball player here, that's what you get when you put a sorry *** player like Karl Malone on me. Stop talkin bout me. Just saying.

AT 29,JAMES' NUMBERS ARE OFF THE CHARTS If the number of an NBA player's birthday candles were proportionate to his point total, then Miami Heat star Lebron James would need help putting out the fire atop his red velvet cake. The four-time MVP turns 29 on Monday, with 21,819 points. No other NBA player has ever scored more points by that age. Granted, the youngest-to-score comparisons are a terrible measure because not everyone enters the NBA at 18 like James. It took James 726 games to score 20,000 points; it took Wilt Chamberlain a mere 499. Michael Jordan had nearly 4,000 fewer points on his 29th birthday, neither Kareem Abdul-Jabbar nor Oscar Robertson were even to the 17,000-point mark yet and Karl Malone was still a few games shy of scoring his 15,000th point. Still, where James is now begs the question: Exactly how high on the scoring list will he be before taking a jersey off for the last time? He passed No. 30 Gary Payton and No. 31 Larry Bird on the career scoring list last week - in the same ga ...
Game 5, known as "The Flu Game", was one of Michael Jordan's most memorable. At 2 a.m on Tuesday morning, Jordan called his personal trainer to his hotel room, where he was lying in the fetal position and sweating profusely. He hardly had the strength to sit up in bed and was diagnosed with a stomach virus or food poisoning, likely caused by a pizza ordered the night before.[1] The Bulls' trainers told Jordan that there was no way he could play the next day. The Jazz had just won Games 3 & 4 to tie the series at 2 wins apiece, and a third consecutive win would give them the momentum. The Bulls needed their leader for this critical swing game, and despite his ailments, Jordan got out of bed at 5:50 p.m on Wednesday, just in time for the 7 o'clock tip-off at the Delta Center Jordan was visibly weak and pale as he stepped on the court for Game 5. At first, he displayed little energy, and John Stockton, along with reigning MVP Karl Malone, led the Jazz to a 16-point lead (36-20) in the second quarter. But Jor ...
136001 102 Nike Air Jordan 12 (XII) Original (OG)- Taxi The Nike Air Jordan 12 (XII) Original (OG)- Taxi (White/Black-Taxi) was released in 1996-1997. In the 96/97 season Michael Jordan saw himself being bounced by Karl Malone, who won the thinnest of edges one can think of the most valuable player honors the throne. Jordan in the finals, got his revenge though, and led the Bulls past Malone's Utah Jazz, also picked up the Finals MVP honor of the fifth. Air Jordan 12 Retro White/Flint Grey/Metallic Silver is one of Nike Air Jordan Retro 12 Shoes. This shoes was to have something totally new when it came to plan. The way the ribbed leather seemed to go all the way to down to the ground because of the match in color with the mid, really made people turn their heads. This unique design was partly inspired by the flag of the Japanese Army & Navy in which the red circle is surrounded by a "sunset".
What NBA star retired for the third time on May 14, 1996? -Karl Malone - Magic Johnson - Wilt Chamberlain - Michael Jordan - Jerry West
Today felt like Travis Rice and Rob Dyrdek invited me to go shred in Jackson, Wyoming just bombing out of the Heli into waist deep powder then asked me to fly back to the fantasy factor to have a beer and play with all robs toys. After that the Dream Team shows up. John Stockton and Karl Malone ask me to be on their team along with Bird and Magic we have to fly back to Salt Lake so we can take on Jordan, Pippen, Barkley, Ewing and Robinson in game 7of the Nba Finals and I play for the Utah Jazz. On the baseline Jennifer Aniston, Ellie Goulding, Mila Kunis, and Alex Morgan are all wearing my jersey holding up a sign that says Wheeler marry us!!! With the clock running down Michael Jordan is guarding me I use the same move and hit the same shot he hit against Bryon Russel in 97' at the buzzer to win The Utah Jazz first championship in franchise history. Alex Morgan sprints to half court wraps her legs around me and we passionately start kissing while Georges St Pierre pushes out the crowd so we can have s . ...
Kobe Bryant is 646 points short of Michael Jordan, 5,282 of Karl Malone and 6,746 of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
I have 2 completely different statuses based on something I saw or heard today...here's the first... Michael Jordan said he would have him, Magic Johnson, Akeem Olajuwon, James Worthy and Scottie Pippen as his 5 in a game against anybody and they wouldn't lose...who would u have (u can't have any of the players he has). I got Lebron, Oscar Robertson, Kevin Durant, Karl Malone, and Wilt Chamberlain! No disrespect, but who Magic gon guard? And he never had nobody like Lebron on him. I almost grabbed Iverson for pure heart, but the Big O, KD and Lebron can all run point. My shooter is better than MJs. My 2 isn't far behind Mike. my 4 man might not be liked, but he was the truth! And my big won the NCAA high jump, scored 100 in a game, and came back and led the NBA in assists! We win!!!
For my basketball guys.greatest of all time game. Pick 10 players. All time in their prime. 5 on 5. For example mine would be Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Wilt Chamberlain VS John Stockton, Michael Jordan, Moses Malone, Patrick Ewing, and Shaq. That would be sick. Lol.
A Laker fan at the barbershop tried to tell me that LeBron is not as good as Kobe because of # of rings. If that's the case than Michael Jordan is tied for being the 10th best player of all time behind Bill Russell, Sam Jones, Tom Heinsohn, K.C. Jones, Tom Sanders, John Havlicek, Jim Loscutoff, Frank Ramsey, and Robert Horry. Oh and these dudes are all better than Kobe and his 5 lol. And Joel Anthony (2) is better than Karl Malone (0). You see where this is going:)
December 5 in New Orleans, Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history to hit 30,000 career points. Bryant joins Hall Of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928), Michael Jordan (32,292) and Wilt Chamberlain (31,419) as one of five players to reach the milestone.
Was just reading Sports Illustrated and thought this was interesting, they interviewed Karl Malone and he was asked who he would rather have on his team, Michael Jordan or Lebron James. He immediately responded "Lebron James." Then when he was asked for his All-Time starting team, he said "Point guard John Stockton, Oscar Robertson at Shooting guard, Scottie Pippen at Small Forward, Lebron James at Power Forward and Wilt Chamberlain at Center." No MJ. I find this interesting for multiple reasons. Rodman was quote saying Lebron would be an average player if he played in the 90's, but now Malone is saying that he would rather have James on his team than the often called GOAT Jordan (He didn't specifically say that he thought James was better, but you could possibly infer that's what he meant when he said he would rather have James.) You would think players from around the same era would have similar views, but Rodman's and Malone's are opposite, not to mention they are both PF'S so they could have similar . ...

On this day in Chicago Bulls history 15 YEARS AGO (June 14th, 1998), Michael Jordan hits his last shot as a Bull and lifts Chicago to it's 6TH NBA TITLE IN FRANCHISE HISTORY defeating the Utah Jazz 87-86 in Game 6. As Jordan knocked the ball off Utah's Karl Malone's hands, there was little time to spare as Jordan ran down the court with seconds to spare down by 1 point. Michael creates space from Utah's Bryon Russel and shoots over him taking the lead 87-86. With 5.2 remaining in the game, Utah's John Stockton tries shoots a three but ends up missing leading to the Chicago Bulls CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION. "16 seconds left, Bulls down 1. Michael against Russel... 12 seconds. 11. 10... Jordan... Jordan a drive, hangs, firesss... SCORESS!"
After 20 years, I watched 4:21 seconds of this game. I'm sorry, but Lebron James is no Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Akeem Olajuwon, Dominique Wilkins, or Reggie Lewis. In fact, he would be a bench player in 1990.
I see a lot of all-time NBA top ten players lately, and some debate whether Tim Duncan has earned a spot on that list. For what it is worth, as a long-time fan and student of basketball, here is my all-time NBA-ABA-collegiate top 25(I tried to narrow it to ten, but I was leaving out too many great players)-- In order, regardless of position: (1) Wilt Chamberlain (2) Michael Jordan (3) Bill Russell (4) Oscar Robertson (5) Larry Bird (6) Dr. J, Julius Erving (my favorite player of all time, BTW) (7) Magic Johnson (8) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (9) Lebron James (10) Tim Duncan (11) Kobe Bryant (12) Bob Pettit (13) John Stockton (14) Jerry West (15) Hakeem Olajuwon (16) Shaquille O'Neal (17) John Havlicek (18) Isiah Thomas (19) Elgin Baylor (20) Karl Malone (21) Rick Barry (22) Mel Daniels (23) Charles Barkley (24) David Robinson (25) "Pistol" Pete Maravich (still holds the record as the top collegiate scorer of all time, and did that in three years) Honorable mention-- Elvin Hayes, Bill Walton( Walton was the best ...
So, a couple of us have been kicking around an NBA "80s All-Stars vs. 90s All-Stars" discussion for a few days. As for my usual (especially when I have a paper due), I decided to sit down and poke at the stats for a little bit. Basically what I came up with is that there was some really poor team selection going on, and it really looks like the 90s team could just wallop the 80s team. The full numbers I ran are here: went off of win share, and WS/48 (win share per 48 minutes on the court, which is helpful for evaluating someone who, say, didn't play all 10 years of a decade), and limited that to just the decades defines by 80-81 to 89-90, and 90-91 to 98-99. The original starting five for the 80s was: 1.Magic Johnson, PG 2.Clyde Drexler, SG 3.Larry Bird, SF 4.Kevin McHale, PF 5.Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, C While the original starting five for the 90s was: 1.John Stockton, PG 2.Michael Jordan, SG 3.Scottie Pippen, SF 4.Karl Malone, PF 5.Hakeem Olajuwon, C Couple of big errors here. First, Jordan absolutely snot- ...
In light of Karl Malone's recent comments saying Michael Jordan is not on his all time starting 5. I'm curious who my friends would have in there's. I'd go. Pg. Magic Johnson SG. Mj Sf. Lebron Pf. Tim Duncan C. Shaq B. Larry Bird B. Wilt Chamberlain B. Scottie Pippen
NBA News: Karl Malone Isn’t a Fan of Michael JordanNBA7 hours agoAfter losing two straight Nba Finals to Michael Jordan, Karl Malone still isn’t a fan of Michael Jordan after more than a decade.Malone appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Tuesday and was asked for his all-time starting five. The Uta...
what is your alltime starting 5? Karl Malone's was John Stockton, Oscar Robertson, Scottie Pippen, Lebron James and Wilt Chamberlain. Mines is John Stockton, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Tim Duncan and Wilt Chamberlain - Ali
Karl Malone said he would leave Michael Jordan off of his all-time starting five. Who's on your all-time starting five? Mine is: G Magic Johnson G Michael Jordan F Lebron James F Kevin Durant (obviously a bit premature, considering the guy hasn't even reached his prime, but I can tell he is a special player) C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar -Matt
Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul Jabaar (not sure about the center)
Idk why yall got a problem with Karl Malone is but yall are forgetting one thing: IT'S HIS TOP 5, SO IT WOULD BE PEOPLE KARL MALONE WANTS ON HIS TEAM! If I had to choose between a 6'8" 250 Lebron James and a 6'6" 216 Michael Jordan accomplishments aside you are a fool not with LeBron. I even can make a case for Scottie Pippen so technically Malone is on key with his picks
Karl Malone leaves Michael Jordan off his all-time starting five.
Karl Malone doesn't have Michael Jordan in his all-time starting five. I wonder why !! Lol ***
Today's Honda of Russellville poll question: Karl Malone left Michael Jordan off his All-Time starting five. Position by position, who would be your starting five? You need a point guard, shooting guard, Small Forward, power forward and center.
Just watching ESPN talk about all-time NBA starting five? You can only pick five, what's your opinions? I think mine would be, guards- Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan. Forwards- Larry Bird, Karl Malone. Center- this is hardest one for me, but have to go with Bill Russell.
Karl Malone put Scottie Pippen and Oscar Robertson in his all-time starting five over Michael Jordan.

Karl Malone leaves Michael Jordan out of his all-time starting five. Obviously The Ringless Mailman ain't still bitter about losing to MJ in the Nba Finals twice in a row. -SS-
Karl Malone left MJ off his all time staring 5 team. He is still salty smh. My all time NBA team is. 1 Oscar Robinson 2 Michael Jordan 3 Lebron James 4 Charles Barkley 5 Shaquille O neal What's yours? The 2 and three are obvious. 1 4 5 are up for debate.
Just lost all basketball respect for Karl Malone. Any all time basketball team that doesn't include Michael Jordan is just absurd. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but even with that being said common sense and logic cannot be ignored. His bitterness toward Jordan is obvious here. I guess two back to back losses in the finals can do that to you. Lol and let the record reflect. I'm not a Jordan guy, my favorites are (magic and tiny) john stocton, Scottie Pippen over magic and Jordan. He's lost his mind. What a joke!
I see Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen both on the same SILLY juice! Scottie says LBJ will destroy Michael Jordan, Karl Malone says MJ wouldn't be in his All Time starting 5. The disrespect! Karl we know why u bitter, Scottie you need to send MJ a thank you card for your career. Smdh so disrespectful
Karl Malone didnt put Michael Jordan in his All-time Starting Five.Apparently he Forgets the 97' & 98' Finals. HATER!
Karl Malone left out Magic Johnson & Michael Jordan on his all-time team. Looks like he still has no intention of getting a ring.
Interesting tid bit. Tim Duncan was selected for the all NBA 1st team this year. The 1st time he was selected to the all NBA 1st team his team mates were Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Gary Payton, and Shaq.
The reason Barkley didn't win is because Michael Jordan. Are you saying Karl Malone doesn't know what it takes to win also?
Karl Malone had more all-time points than Michael Jordan. That just doesn't seem right
Yeah Miami is a great team, but imagine the how dirty a team would be if Michael Jordan paired up with like Karl Malone and Larry Bird.
The Top 10 disappointments of the season I am old school and maybe I am not the perfect person to identify the Top 10 disappointments. It's difficult because I can't accept players jacking up shots without regard to percentages. Although over the years the NBA has made it easier to score points by making it illegal to hand-check, many still they shoot poor percentages. Carmelo Anthony is said to be the best all-around scorer in the league, but he shoots 44 percent. Russell Westbrook has taken more shots than Kevin Durant, but he is shooting 44 percent while Durant makes 51 percent of his attempts. Damian Lillard will most likely be Rookie of the Year, but shoots a poor 42 percent. All-Star Paul George is shooting 43 percent. Allen Iverson set the tone in 2000-01 when he won the MVP award making just 42 percent of his shots. I couldn't imagine Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley or Karl Malone shooting a poor percentage during their heyday. That's why it's no mistake ...
Ok, this is why Kobe and Lebron aren't better then Michael Jordan. I understand if you was born in 1994 and never really saw MJ play, but I'm going to give you the business anyway. Exhibit A: Kobe entered the league as a backup to Eddie Jones and wasn't the number 1 option on his team until Shaq left. Kobe didn't have to beat Hall Of Famers to win his rings. Excuse me, but Shaquille O'Neal and Pau Gasol are better then Luc Longley, Bill Wennington, Bison Dele, and Stacey King combined. Kobe didn't leave for 2 years in his PRIME. Kobe didn't have to beat Karl Malone and Stockton twice, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Detroit Bad Boys, Gary Payton, Patrick Ewing, and Reggie Miller. Exhibit B: Lebron James. Lebron has Dwayne Wade. Dwayne Wade is better then Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong, John Paxson, Randy Brown, COMBINED. Pippen was a beast on defense, and was a solid offensive player, but he didn't have the talent that D Wade or Shaq had/has. Jordan at 6'6 had to carry 85% of the offe ...
had explosive players like Dominique Wilkens, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and David Robinson
Hey Basketball fans and young ones let me give you a history on the NBA! In the Late 70's and early 80's it was a drug infested league and wasn't popular! Doctor J held it together with High Character and Class, that being said Bird and Magic saved the Game period! They spawned the High School class of 1981 with Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, Akeem Olajuwon, Joe Dumars, Jeff Hornacek, Xavier McDaniels, Michael Adams, and Spud Webb who won the Dunk Contest! ON THE TEACHING FRONT AND DEVELOPING COACHES AND PLAYERS, PETE NEWELL, HOWARD GARFINKEL, AND HERB LIVSEY DID JUST THIS! GARFINKEL AND LIVSEY BELONG IN SPRINGFIELD FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO GAME! David Stern and NCAA ruined a lot of great things in the game!
All-Time NBA-USA Fantasy Team John Stockton, 6-1, PG Magic Johnson, 6-9, PG Michael Jordan, 6-6, SG Kobe Bryant, 6-6, SG Scottie Pippen, 6-7, SF/SG Lebron James, 6-8, SF Larry Bird, 6-9, SF Kevin Durant, 6-9, SF/PF Charles Barkley, 6-6, PF Karl Malone, 6-9, PF Shaquille O'Neal, 7-1, C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 7-2, C Why Pippen? why over Julius Erving, or even Rick Barry? The greatest role player (and complementary swingman) ever who can hustle and defend, bring down the ball as a point forward and score from the outside or penetrate if needed. Why Shaq over Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell? Could be the most powerful inside force ever. You already have Kareem for finesse, so it'd much better if you can also have an immovable and almost unstoppable monster at the slot.

What made Michael Jordan the best of his time is the fact that Hall Of Famers such as Sir Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, John Stockton, etc. (I can go on and on) did not get to win a Championship ring because of him. MJ do not score at will, he wins at will.
I love how in Michael Jordan's top 50 moments that and were against the beloved Utah Jazz. was stealing the ball from Hall Of Famer Karl Malone and the greatest moment in Jordan's career was hitting the game winning shot against the Jazz in 98. Thanks Utah Jazz for creating all those moments for us to enjoy with Michael Jordan.
Happy Birthday to Michael Jordan!!! The single, greatest person to ever bounce a basketball... better than anyone before him and better than anyone to play after him... you can take all the legends of old, Wilt Chamberlain, Hakeem Olajuan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Bill Russell, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill (who still plays, btw), Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Pat Ewing, Shaq, Shawn Kemp, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, and many, MANY others, going back even farther than these I just mentioned, and place them all on a pedestal... and you can take all these 'exhibitionists' of today, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Jason Kidd, Chris Bosh, 'Mello' Anthony, Blake Griffin, Lebron James and many more, and put them on another pedestal, they would ALL still be shadowed by the pedestal that Michael Jordan's on. He's the only player in the history of the NBA that had the greatness it took to literally lead his team to repeat 'threepeats' as well as break and set a new season win record that will likel ...
When i was young i saw Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen (Bulls) John Stockton, Karl Malone, (Jazz) Patrick Ewing, John Starks (Knicks) Kobe Bryant, SHAQ (Lakers) David Robinson, Tim Duncan (Spurs) Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton (Sonics) Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson (Lakers) Clyde Drexler, Hakeem Olajuwon (Rockets) Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway (Heat) Penny Hardaway, SHAQ (Magic).. this are just a few duo's.. now.. to you... who would be the greatest duo of all time?
Happy 50th birthday Sunday to Michael Jordan. Here, over the next three days, is something you won't see on ESPN's week-long celebration: My Top 3 personal journalistic experiences with MJ, starting with . . . 3) Feb. 19, 1996 -- Bulls 110, 102: Jordan scores 44, Pippen scores 40, and Rodman grabs 23 rebounds at Market Square Arena. Afterward, standing right in front of MJ in the locker room, I ask him if he was just a little extra motivated given that most of the MVP talk had Karl Malone as the winner despite two months of the season remaining. MJ smiled as he started with, "You guys" (his usual labeling of media) determine all that. But the more he talked, the more sinister his smile became, indicating he knew exactly where I was coming from -- and that anybody who knew his competitive fire knew the answer was, "Of course!" Malone would go on to win the MVP. MJ would go on to defeat Malone for his 5th title. (Tomorrow, my No. 2 memory).
My wife and I are like Scottie Pippen & Michael Jordan. John Stocton and Karl Malone. Dwayne Wade & Lebron James. We got that give and go down packed. Every now and then I throw her the ally and she comes down with a thunderous Boom! All I'm saying is, don't be the one to get posterized!
The 2013 NBA All Star Weekend is upon us. The 62nd NBA All-Star Game will be played at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. It will televised on TNT and broadcast on ESPN Radio. The Los Angeles LakersKobe Bryant (1,591,437) edged the Miami Heat’s Lebron James (1,583,646) as this year’s leading vote-getter in the 2013 NBA All-Star Balloting. It was Bryant’s 15th consecutive All-Star selection, a record. Bryant breaks a tie with Jerry West, Karl Malone, and Shaquille O’Neal for the most consecutive NBA All-Star selections. A four-time All-Star MVP (2002, 2007, 2009, and 2011), Bryant holds the distinction as the youngest All-Star in NBA history (1998). In last year’s All-Star Game in Orlando, he passed Michael Jordan as the game’s all-time scoring leader. The Los Angeles Clippers Chris Paul (929,155) is the other Western Conference starter at guard. The West’s starting frontcourt is Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant (1,504,047), last year’s MVP, Lakers c ...
Just a little note for every body who say kobe don't pass 5,661: With his sixth of nine assists Wednesday night in Phoenix, Kobe Bryant surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's career total of 5,660 assists, making him the most prolific assist man of the five 30,000-point scorers in NBA history. Michael Jordan finished his career with 5,633 career assists, with Karl Malone ringing up 5,248 assists and Wilt Chamberlain amassing 4,643.
I say Karl Malone because the only person that stopped him from winning a title is Michael Jordan
Two fav basketball players all time: Karl Malone & Michael Jordan 🏀
Reggie Miller, OJ, Chris Webber, Michael Jordan, Brett Favre, Karl Malone, Sammy Sosa mentions would have been hilarious
Oh man, John Stockton and Karl Malone vs Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Do You Remember One Of The Greatest Games? Ron Watson-Sports Writer Nba Finals Game 6 1998: Chicago Bulls versus Utah Jazz Chicago was up 3-2 in the 1997-98 series, but this game on Utah's home court was supposed to be a Jazz win. It seems no one told Michael Jordan. With just under one minute remaining the Bulls down, 86-83, M.J. made history. His lay-up narrowed the Jazz lead to 1 point. On the next play, he stole the ball from forward Karl Malone and dribbled down the right-hand side of the court. When he made a crossover move, Utah forward Bryon Russell went for the steal and missed, leaving M.J. wide open. His 17-foot jumper, the ultimate clutch shot, gave the Bulls the 87-86 victory and their sixth championship in eight seasons. Jordan finished with 45 points and his sixth Nba Finals MVP award, and then retired for his second, but not final time.

Only Four Players have More Total Career Points than Kobe Bryant: 1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 2. Karl Malone with 36,928 3. Michael Jordan with 32,292 4. Wilt Chamberlain with 31,419 I believe that before Kobe hangs it up, (If he plays past age 35), then he will pass MJ for 3rd All Time in Scoring, but that's about it. No one may ever be able to beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record. Just MY opinion though. -Wasif
the NBA players who should have been MVPs. Game starts now. 10. John Stockton Here's one of four original Dream Teamers in the list. We all know John Stockton is partially responsible for Karl Malone's two MVP trophies but there were times when Stockton could have claimed a MVP for himself in Utah. One particular year I can recall was in 1998 – which was eventually won by Michael Jordan. While Stockton played second fiddle for Malone, he is still the league's all-time leader in most assists and steals. 9. Chris Paul The guy shows up on the list for one reason and for just one reason only – 2008. This was the year Kobe Bryant won his only MVP award. Paul DOMINATED the NBA that year but it was Kobe who took home the plum. But fact is though, if there's a player who knows the feeling of getting snubbed, that guy is the Black Mamba. He should have won the MVP of 2006 because of playing the highest scoring average in 20 years and *** .. scoring 81 points in the game (don't give the New Orleans record bit . ...
Shaq, Oscar Robinson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Karl Malone, ect. I could do this all day
Just had a fantasy all star basketball draft, this is the way that the teams looked. I need you to vote which team wins: team 1: Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman, John Stockton, Kobe Bryant, and the dream. Team 2: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Kareem.
Just like Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and John Stockton.you need to RETIRE!!!
Day starting off right I just meet Karl Malone from Utah Jazz did a delivery there dude shot me 200$ tip im happy lol next stop Michael Jordan
Inspired by a recent discussion my all time NBA team. Threee deep at each position to make a complete 15 man roster. Decisons based on dominance, winning. Some may argue the older players could not compete with the athleticism of today, and I won't argue that but here they are 1. John Stockton, "Magic" Johnson, Oscar Robertson 2. Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler, Kobe Bryant 3. Larry Bird, Lebron James, Julius Erving 4. Tim Duncan, Karl Malone, Bob Pettit 5. Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan ok rip me apaprt, i will respond
Do you know why Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp, Kevin Johnson, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, etc.. didn't win a championship ring ?? Not because they were not good, they were all-stars, Dream Team players... one answer !!! *** Michael Jordan *** Greatest Player Ever *** REAL FACT
Lebron James has the vision of a Magic Johnson, the body of a Karl Malone, and the athleticism of Michael Jordan.. Freak of nature.

Kobe Bryant is currently fifth on the all time NBA scoring list with 29,484 points scored. He is currently: 1,935 points behind 4th place, Wilt Chamberlain 2,808 points behind 3rd place, Michael Jordan 7,444 points behind 2nd place, Karl Malone, and…. 8,903 points behind 1st place, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Since he’s at least hinting at the fact that he only has two more NBA years left and then he’s done, Kobe would have to score at least 54 points a game every regular season game for the next two seasons to best Kareem, 45 to best Karl Malone, 17 to best Michael Jordan, and 12 to best Wilt Chamberlain.
Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls, John Stockton and Karl Malone of the Utah Jazz, Magic Johnson of the Los Angeles Lakers, Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics, Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks, Chris Mullin of the Golden State Warriors, David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs, and Charles Barkley of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Karl Malone: Tough Battle vs. Michael Jordan and the Wizards (2001, 30 p...: via
One last post about Dream Team vs. Team USA 2012. Last night was absolute proof that this year's team couldn't/wouldn't stand a chance against the original Dream Team. Spain had Pao and Mark Gasol. That's really it. Mark sat out with 4 fouls basically the entire second half. If you watched the game you saw how close the game really was. Are you really going to tell me that if the Gasol brothers can cause that much trouble, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, and Charles Barkley wouldn't make life much, much harder? Plus there are a couple guys that would have something to say about it. You may have heard of them. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Magic Johnson. If you can't wipe the floor with Spain, there is no chance on Earth Team USA 2012 would contest the greatness of the Dream Team. Period.
I wish everyone would stop with this Lebron/Michael Jordan comparison. Lebron will be one of the NBA greatest there's no doubt. But seriously Jordan was an entire different breed of basketball player. Jordan was smarter and understood the game. Lebron is just now figuring that out honestly. His years without the college experience have shown over the years. Lets be honest how many championships would Jordan have won if he had. Scottie Pippen and a player like Karl Malone or Charles Barkley. I'm not a hater but we'll see what happens this year. Also I see the Lakers moves but still think OKC is the team to beat.
Team USA "Can't Touch This" compared to the Dream Team: 1992 Dream Team: By the Numbers By John Hareas The greatest sports team ever assembled? Few, if anyone, would argue. The 1992 Dream Team won by an average of 43.8 points, an Olympic record, and the closest a team came to challenging the U.S. was Croatia, which was beaten by 32. It was Charles Barkley and not Michael Jordan who led the Dream Team in scoring average (18) and field-goal (.711) and 3-point (.875) shooting percentages. Here is a numerical look at this majestic team. 0 – Number of timeouts called by head coach Chuck Daly during the eight games the Dream Team participated in in the 1992 Olympics 2.8 – John Stockton’s scoring average, 12th overall 15 – Number of total blocks by Patrick Ewing, which led the Dream Team .365 – Opponents field goal percentage 37 – Number of total steals by Michael Jordan, which led the Dream Team 47 – Number of total assists by Scottie Pippen, which led the Dream Team 4.8 – Christian Laettner’s ...

Michael Jordan's greatest rival of his time? Karl Malone? While Magic's greatest rival was Larry Bird and Wilt Chamberlain's was Bill Russell. If you're only as good as your competition...well you be the judge.
Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkely ,Karl Malone, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, and that's not even the whole team
Just interviewed Christian Laettner : "this years team will dominate and take home gold..." in regards to 92 vs 2012: "we had Karl Malone and barkeley the two best power fowards the NBA has seen and also a guy named Michael Jordan. We would definitely beat this year's team." Boom!
the difference he Michael Jordan the greatest ever and Karl Malone the greatest player to never have won a ring, sadly i realize today wasn't simply that Jordan had more titles, but Jordans legend as a "clutch player" which means he scored match turning points, Malone had more points but Jordan had more important points.
I wish I could put this team here together and every player in their prime Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Shaq, then I'd have Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo, Lebron, Point guards would be Magic Johnson, Chris Paul, and John Stockton. And two more players Clyde the glide drexler, Chris Mullin, Charles Barkley, and Michael Jordan. This my dream roster LMS and make your own.

The 1997 Nba Finals would begin a two-year contest for the Bulls and Utah Jazz and it would be the poetic bookends for Michael Jordan. That season's MVP, Karl Malone, would also be shown up.
That team had Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, & Charles Barkley just to name a FEW
Kobe Bryant: current Team USA would beat the 1992 Dream = "Well, just from a basketball standpoint, they obviously have a lot more size than we do — you know, with [David] Robinson and [Patrick] Ewing and [Karl] Malone and those guys," "But they were also — some of those wing players — were also a lot older, at kind of the end of their careers. We have just a bunch of young racehorses, guys that are eager to compete. "He knows (Michael Jordan)," "They got beaten by a college select team once. Doesn't mean we're a better team than them, but s***, we can beat them one time." "People who think we can't beat that team (1992 Dream Team) for one game, they're crazy," "To sit there and say we can't, it's ludicrous." The fact is, they have [Patrick] Ewing and [David] Robinson and those big guys, it's tough. If you're asking me, 'Can you beat them one game?' *** yeah, we can beat them in one game. You didn't ask me if we could beat them in a 7-game series. In one game, we can beat them. No question about it ...

Hard to believe that Karl Malone is in front of Michael Jordan in all time points scored.
Kobe's like 33 Michael Jordan was 29 & in his prime so was Magic, Bird, no one would stop Karl Malone, or David.
Glide, Scottie Pippen, PLUS dominant bigs in Patrick Ewing, David Robinson and Karl Malone. AND the GOAT Michael Jordan...
who would guard Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, and let alone Michael Jordan.. Ill wait
Kobe Bryant said this year's Olympic team has a "bunch of racehorses, players who are incredibly athletic while the Dream Team consisted mainly of players at the tail end of their careers." He said this year's team in its prime could beat the Dream Team in its prime. Wow. Let's look at that. Dream Team Guards: Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Clyde Drexler, Michael Jordan 2012 Guards: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, James Harden, Chris Paul, Deron Williams Dream Team Forwards: Christian Laettner, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone, Chris Mullin, Charles Barkley 2012 Forwards: Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Andre Iguodala, Lebron James, Kevin Love Dream Team Centers: David Robinson, Patrick Ewing 2012 Center: Tyson Chandler At center it's no contest. I would take a sleep walking Robinson or Ewing over Chandler any day. And there is definitely no better tandem of PG/SG than Magic and Jordan. At forwards, Lebron and Love make a pretty menacing starting two, but between Bird, Pippen, Malone an ...
So Kobe Bryant thinks the current olympic team would beat the Dream Team of 92' *pause for laughter* ok now lets compare... Michael Jordan in his prime is better than anyone on the current team, but then you throw in Karl Malone, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen, David Robinson, Charles Barkley and some Larry Bird fellow and it becomes a sad joke. There was more talent on the 92' team than there is currently in the NBA today, never mind the fact that this current Olympic team isn't even the best the NBA has to offer.
Michael Jordan, John Skelton, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone. put em at their best and they'd rape princess james & co.
Michael Jordan filmed many Space Jam scenes with Karl Malone but cut them all just to psych him out. Thus concludes the best possible story.

The Conspiracy Theory: You can usually tell an insane conspiracy theory by asking what the bad guy's motivation was. Woodward and Bernstein uncovered an actual conspiracy by knowing to "follow the money." Less sane conspiracies answer the question of motive by screaming "Everybody's lizards!" So you can be forgiven if you're a little skeptical when someone claims that there was a conspiracy to destroy the life and career of Martin Luther King Jr., one of the great heroes of the 20th century. It's like learning that Henry VIII sexually assaulted Martha Washington in order to sire a son, or that terrorists conspired with Karl Malone and John Stockton to poison Michael Jordan before the flu game. The good guy is too good. The bad guy's too pointlessly evil. Vast government conspiracies need a motive beyond just being villainous creeps, right?
As a man who will admit when he's wrong I have to say this... I was the biggest of the "Lebron James Haters" because as a basketball coach, former High School player, and more than average fan I put a lot of stock into championships and my point with him was he may indeed end up as the greatest ever but until he has won even 1 title you cant even consider it. Well now he has won a title. That's more than Charles Barkley,Karl Malone,John Stockton,Patrick Ewing,Dominique Wilkins, and countless other Hall Of Famers ever even did so can I hate on him any more? Nope but lets try this. Before we compare him to Michael Jordan lets see if he can even get on Kobe Bryants level first. 4 more titles sure wont come easy.
Wow, Lebron got his title. He only had to conspire with two other superstars to do it. Can you imagine, Michael Jordan saying he had to get together with Karl Malone and Magic Johnson to win a title. Message to Lebron, you are no Michael Jordan.
So I guess China fittna get all that OKC championship gear they had on standby... they don't know no better. everybody is Michael Jordan and Karl Malone anyway...lls
What do you get when you mix Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson and a lil bit of Michael Jordan together? Answer: LeBRON Raymone JAMES
"He's scoring in the paint like Charles Barkley and Karl Malone, passing out of double teams like Magic and Larry Bird and scoring like Michael Jordan." ~ Chris Mullin on Lebron James in the Nba Finals All of those guys are Hall Of Famers so I guess Lebron is doing OK so far.

NBA Legend Karl Malone says he would pick former Chicago Bulls swingman Scottie Pippen over Michael Jordan if given a chance to assemble a team of his own, the mailman said Wednesday.
Note to NBA team owners: Don’t make Karl Malone your general manager. Malone was on the Dan Patrick Show Wednesday, talking about the Dream Team (be sure to watch the new documentary on NBA TV tonight, it rocks) and as part of the conversation he talked about Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. And M...
"This is without a doubt the greatest team ever assembled in the history of team sports" THE Dream Team. starting five 1. Magic Johnson 2. Michael Jordan 3. Larry Bird 4. Karl Malone 5. Y in da *** wud Karl Malone pick Scottie Pippen over Michael Jordan???
Karl Malone thinks Scottie Pippen was a better player than Michael Jordan. Interesting.
Karl Malone says if he had to start his own team he would take Scottie Pippen to begin with over Michael Jordan.
The matchup marks the 1st time MVP & scoring champ have met in since '97 (Karl Malone, Michael Jordan)
Lebron James doesn't merit much sympathy or compassion because he willingly placed a bulls-eye on himself, first crowning himself king before he even won a ring and then masterminding the assemblage of a proposed super team on South Beach. But the volume of animosity directed at him and the Miami Heat for their hubris reeks of hypocrisy. I suppose those same people who cry that the Heat violated some code of competitive ethics by amassing as many excellent basketball players as possible and unabashedly boasting about it will greet the 20th anniversary of the original Olympic Dream Team this summer with equal disdain. After all, the concept of the "super team" and the bravado it wrought was born during the 1992 Barcelona Games. The NBA descendants of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Karl Malone are only following their lead. -Drew Sharp of the Detroit Free Press
If King James wins his coveted ring this year it will be forever tarnished by the fact that he did it by running to Miami and hiding behind the skirts of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. What a coward! I now have more respect for Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley and others at least they stayed and played and competed. Michael Jordan didn't run. Kobe Bryant didn't run. Poor King James ran and hid, but he can't hide from himself.
Lebron James versus Kevin Durant. It is the story of these Nba Finals. Except to the guys who share the top billing. One of them will emerge with his first championship and probably the title of best player in the game. It could be James, the three-time MVP. Or it might be Durant, the league's scoring champion the last three years. All they know is whoever it is won't have done it alone. ''Everybody is going to make the most out of the matchup of me versus LeBron, but it's the Thunder versus the Heat,'' Durant said Monday. ''One guy versus another guy, it's not going to be a 1-on-1 matchup to win the series, it's going to be all about the team.'' Maybe, but it's easy to get caught up in their individual brilliance. It's the first time the MVP and scoring champ have met in the finals since 1997, when Michael Jordan's Bulls knocked off MVP Karl Malone and Utah. They are friends and workout partners, play the same Small Forward position and are blessed with unlimited basketball talent. After years of waiting ...
The last time was in '97,where Michael Jordan and the bulls beat Karl Malone and the jazz..
If y'all wanna see some real basketball, flip to NBA TV & watch Michael Jordan, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen, & Karl Malone ball.
Jordan's sick performance in '97 elevated his reputation Mary Mallon, a.k.a. "Typhoid Mary," achieved infamy as the archetype carrier of disease, based on 53 reported cases of typhoid fever, including three deaths, that apparently were traced directly back to her role as cook in and around the New York area for several years starting in 1900. Yet there was Michael Jordan, Chicago Bulls superstar, gamely playing on through serious flu-like symptoms in Game 5 of the 1997 Nba Finals on June 11, 1997 -- and by night's end, rendering most of the 19,911 people in Utah's Delta Center sick to their stomachs too. But did Jordan get saddled with the label of "Nauseous Mikey" or "Green-around-the-Gills MJ?" No, he merely solidified, maybe even clinched, his title as "G.O.A.T." Greatest Of All Time. Fifteen years ago today, I was in the building for what then and now has become known as "The Flu Game." It's probably more accurate to simply refer to it, maybe, as "The Sick Game," since opinions vary on what actually w ...
Happy 15th Anniversary to Michael Jordan! On this day in 1997, the Legendary "Flu Game" occurred. While suffering from flu-like symptoms, Jordan led the Chicago Bulls over Karl Malone, John Stockton, and the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of the Nba Finals. Jordan scored 38 points while grabbing 7 rebounds and dropping 5 assists. The Bulls took a 3-2 lead in the series and went on to win game 6 to claim their second consecutive NBA Championship.
Lost a little respect for Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Karl Malone watching that Dream Team Documentary
Its the Nba Finals. The Miami Heat vs The Oklahoma City Thunder. What better match up can you ask for?! LBJ vs KD! The top two MVP candidates will face off for the first time since Michael Jordan and Karl Malone! Which team are you rooting for? XD
What if Michael Jordan is to Karl Malone as Kevin Durant is to Lebron James? (not a perfect analogy, but...)
The way Kevin Durant is playing... Lebron James may end up being the new Karl Malone and not the new Michael Jordan
LAKERS HATERS READ THIS: Bryant, an All-NBA First Team selection for the seventh straight season, becomes the active leader for most First-Team nods with 10. Bryant finished second in the league in scoring (27.9 ppg). On Feb. 6, at Philadelphia, Bryant moved past Shaquille O'Neal for fifth on the NBA's all-time scoring list; and on March 9, at Minnesota, he became the youngest player to 29,000 points (33 years, 199 days). Bryant's 10 First-Team selections tie for second all-time (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Elgin Baylor, Bob Cousy, Michael Jordan, Bob Pettit, and Jerry West). Karl Malone is the all-time leader with 11.
who was a better scorer during his time...Michael Jordan or Wilt Chamberlin? George Gervin or Karl Malone? Kevin Durant or Kobe Bryant
We remember today as one of the greatest tragedies in sports. 15 years ago today, Karl Malone was given the MVP trophy for the NBA season. Voters simply ignored Michael Jordan's superior numbers, leaving him with only 5 MVP awards to match his 6 finals MVP awards and 6 NBA championships. Such a tragedy.
"On Thursday are you gonna be Karl Malone or Michael Jordan? Huh? Who you gonna be?!?" -
Kobe Bryant scored 40+ points for the 13th time in his playoff career. The last time Bryant scored 40+ in a playoff game was on May 17, 2010 against the Phoenix Suns. He also passed Karl Malone to become 2nd All-Time in FT's made in the playoffs. Michael Jordan is 1st among that list.
Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Gary Payton and Scottie Pippen were still playing.
