Charles Barkley..played basketball to become known. He's not famous like some of greats such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabaal, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, just to mention a few. He's now a basketball commentator and analyst with TNT. As a player he played the game like a brute. There was no courth,or finesse to his game, there was no elegance, no poetry, no relish to his game and hardly looked like an athlete. He was un- athletically big and over-weight. Charles had " big-mouth" as a player and he often spoke the he played - "FOOLISH". That earned him a lot disciplinary penalties and fines by the league during his career. Wondering where I'm going with this? Recently as most of the sense able world expressed their dismay, dissatisfaction and even disgust at the situation in Ferguson Missouri and the out-come of the "ground" jury investigation by protests, even though some aspects of the protests was marred by violence and looting ( well no worse than killing an unarmed teenager by a c ...

Dustin Morrison and I play NBA 2k. A lot. We have the rosters set up so the legends from the legend teams are in the association draft, as well as tweaking old players to return them to their prime. Then we do an association draft where we control and draft for 6 teams each, and just play every match up 2 of our 12 teams have all season. We kinda have "our" players we draft every time, and we often bicker over who has the best group. So, if these two groups of players were Allstar teams, who would win? Keep in mind, they are all in their prime. Team A; Kyrie Irving, Steve Nash, Steph Curry, Patrick Ewing, Karal Malone, Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony, Wilt Chamberlin, Charles Barkley, Ricky Rubio, Paul George, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, John Stockton, Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman, Al Jeffersen, Amare Stoudemire, Pau Gasol, Allen Iversen, Brandon Jennings, Thomas Robinson, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, and James Hardin Vs Team B; Larry Bird, Lebron James, Shaquille O'neal, Anthony Davis, John Wall, Damion L ...
Four years ago, Cleveland Cavs fans were hating LBJ and wishing death threats on the man, while the Miamians were rejoicing because they just landed the greatest player in the world. Now the tables have turned and both cities are flip flopping their feelings. Although LBJ is the greatest player in the world, bruh ain't loyal. The NBA fixed it so that dude can have his way. Because everybody knows that Milwaukee was supposed to get the pick in the draft. If anything, Cleveland should've had a pick between 4-7 with their odds. Let's talk legends: Mikan, Cousey, Russell, Chamberlain, Jerry West, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Dr. J, Bird, Magic, Worthy, Isiah Thomas, Hakeem, Scottie, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, his "airness" Michael Jordan and even D-Wade did it in "One" Franchise!!! Constantly moving around doesn't always work unless you're Robert Horry. Ask Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Shaq. Yes Shaq did it with Lakers and Heat and even smelled it with the Magic. Michael Jordan wouldn't have played through that nor would Kobe, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Kenny Smith, Karl Malone, Isiah or anybody else.
I just found a bunch of football, baseball, and basketball cards from the early 90's. I have found several Michael Jordan, a rookie Kobe Bryant, two John Elway, Dan Marino, Keyshawn Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'neal, Mark Mcgwire, Grant Hill, Jim Harbaugh, Dell Curry, and Eddie George. Does anyone have an idea of the possible value of these cards? Help!
I hate when people compare Lebron James to great legends like Larry Bird, Michael Jordan etc. Because if Lebron James was playing back in those time. He would have been just like Reggie Miller, Carl Malone, Charles Barkley, Tracy Mcgrady, great players without rings.
I saw this on ballislife.com a few days ago and its got me thinking. how would i make my team. You are given a limit of $15 to select 5 players (1 player for each position). Shaq, Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley is just a black hole
I commend former NBA player Michael Jordan for raising millions for charity through his golf tournaments. I think Uncle Sam gives generous tax breaks to individuals who donate to charity. And so there just might be an underlying motive for Jordan's kind gesture. Just recently NBA hall of famer and NBA analyst Charles Barkley told a late night TV show host that Jordan and Scottie Pippen are very cheap. I think this was also confirmed by a Bahamian who works on Paradise Island, where Jordan held several golf tournaments. A friend of mine met Jordan in person on Grand Bahama when he was staying at the resort my friend worked at. While at the resort Jordan played several rounds of golf. My friend said that Jordan is not a nice person and didn't want any of the Bahamian staff around him as he played. He said Jordan kept looking over his shoulders suspiciously at the Bahamian hotel golf course workers as if he was in danger of being robbed by them. What some of these celebrities are before the cameras is not wh ...

On 92.9 The Game (sports talk radio), I heard a very compelling point which suggested that people give Michael Jordan too much credit and Scottie Pippen not enough credit for the Chicago Bulls success. The point was made that the Bulls beat superstar players such as Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, and Patrick Ewing but none of these players played with anyone of or close to Pippen's caliber.
Michael Jordan would dominate Lebron James any day of the week...just ask Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Isaih Thomas, Charles Barkley, and Kareem...
Let me show you how NBA players have changed over the years. I'm about to name off some of great players from back in the days: Larry Bird, Isiah Thoams, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, David Robinson, Pat Ewing, Charles Barkley, Julius Erving, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dominique Wilkins, Wilt Chamberlin, George Gervin, Pistol Pete Maverick. Now I'm about to name off the "Great Players" of today: Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dewayne Wade, Kevin Durante, Paul George, Russell Westbrook(Maybe).do you see the difference?

Hey kids. Uncle Jeffy here. Listen up. I've got a solution to the healthcare issue. Quicken Loans and ESPN can tell us up to the minute how many people of the over 11 million participants are left in the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge (6 as of 9:00 PM tonight). The federal government can't tell us how many people have signed up for healthcare after six months. Solution: let Quicken Loans and ESPN run healthcare for the Feds. You need a loan to pay for healthcare anyway, so Quicken Loans is a natural fit. ESPN can let *** Vitale be the spokesperson, Dr. J can be in charge of patient care, and Michael Jordan can pay for it all. Hey, Bobby Knight and Charles Barkley would be perfect for the death panels . Hey Jack, my plan would beat the clowns running it now. After all, they have to get back to Ringling Brothers in time for the summer season.
Charles Barkley on Phil Jackson coming to NY and the triangle: "The triangle is a great offense when you've got Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal. You've got the rest of these brothers, it's a square and it don't work." One of the truest and funniest things Sir Charles has said on television.
Today In Sport's History: Feb 26, 1996: Stockton gets 11,000th NBA assist. On this day in 1996, the Utah Jazz’s Point Guard John Stockton gets his 11,000th assist in the NBA. When Stockton retires from basketball in 2003, he leaves with 15,806 career assists, a record that still stands. Stockton attended Gonzaga University and in 1984 was drafted by the Utah Jazz, where he would spend his entire career. The 6’1” Point Guard was the 16th overall pick in that year’s draft, which also included Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. Stockton got his first NBA assist on November 26, 1984, and his 1,000th assist on April 5, 1986. During the 1987-1988 season, he made 1,128 assists, setting a record for most assists in one season. Isiah Thomas had previously held the record with 1,123 assists. On February 1, 1995, Stockton shattered the NBA record for career assists--9,921--which had belonged to Magic Johnson. Stockton earned a reputation as hard-working, consistent and the ultimate team player. During his 1 ...
New York Knick player under arrest for second and third degree weapon possession. I say get rid of him. Charles Barkley mentioned that David Stern left a legacy of getting the NBA to a higher reputation than ever. I highly disagree. The 90's had BY FAR more players who I admired both on and off the court who also had loyalty. Players like David Robinson, Hakeem Olajuwon, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler, Gary Payton, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Grant Hill, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Mitch Richmond, Kevin Johnson, Dan Marjerle, Penny Hardaway, Joe Dumars, Alonzo Mourning, Dominique Wilkins. The list goes on and on. Players who played with fundamentals, weren't show offs and stayed out of trouble. You had three quality Dream Teams. I don't remember growing up watching so many players get arrested, getting DUI's, etc. the only way to reverse the trend is to not tolerate it.

A Friend of mine just reminded me of how important it is to think about the finish on today's game. No matter the score our guys are winners. I remember when Charles Barkley returned to town after our Phoenix basketball team lost the 7th game of the playoffs to Michael Jordan and those other guys. Over a millin people (myself included) came out for their return to Sky Harbor airport in Phoenix, AZ. and I will expect no less of our fans today. Special tag to MJ Baxter my friend and relative since 1955. We met in Queen Anne Rainbow and then later she was my sister-in-law. A real great gal to know.
Any plans to watch the Super Bowl? Did you know professional athletes have been relying on chiropractors to help them prevent and recover from injury for years. From Emmitt Smith and Jerry Rice to Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. I think Michael Strahan said it best.. “Take it from a man who’s been beat across the head for about twenty years…You should go to the chiropractor. If you get a good one, I think you will enjoy it. You get your neck adjusted right, your body adjusted right. It’s, like, blood flow to the brain, helps you think better, everything."

Here is a still-frame from the movie "Space Jam," starring Free Mason - Michael Jordan. In this scene, NBA players (Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley and Shawn Bradley) seek a psychic medium for insight and counsel. After she attempts to summon spirits, she looks deep into her crystal ball and says, "I see aliens." When you take this into account, you MUST understand that this is a very subtle attack on the sub-conscience of every child who watches it. Seeing things like this at a very impressionable and transitional age can lead someone to believe it is okay to consult psychics and mediums. I hope you know what your children are watching!! "Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God." - (Leviticus 19:31) "And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people." - (L ...

If Space Jam taught us anything it's that Michael Jordan is better than Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Shawn Bradley, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues combined.
For my basketball guys.greatest of all time game. Pick 10 players. All time in their prime. 5 on 5. For example mine would be Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, and Wilt Chamberlain VS John Stockton, Michael Jordan, Moses Malone, Patrick Ewing, and Shaq. That would be sick. Lol.
I think today's professional athletes are of different genes than when I was growing up... Dennis Rodman was the only crazy one back then and Charles Barkley got mad a few times..lol. But over all you never heard of Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice or any of the Stars getting in to all this trouble... I think it has a big impact on our kids... Look at the stars from the past and look how good we have turned out... look at the stars of today and look at the kids these days... BIG difference in morals and respect. Just saying.
Many people are calling the 2003 NBA Draft the best ever with Lebron, DWade, Carmelo, Bosh, West, etc. I say screw that, NBA Draft 1984!!! Michael Jordan; Hakeem Olajuwon; Charles Barkley; Sam Perkins; John Stockton; Kevin Willis; Otis Thorpe; Michael Cage is way better!!!
Congrats to the Miami Heat and all the fans, however, lets be clear, if Lebron James is the chosen one or MVP or best player in the NBA by far, then the NBA is far worse a league as the MLB and maybe even the NHL. Mr. James lacks "it." It's just an observation so fans don't get your panties in a wad. People always want to think that they are witnessing the greatest era of anything during their lifetimes. It's fabrication. He isn't Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson, Jim Brown, Gayle Sayers, Tony Dorsett, Earl Campbell, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Oscar Robertson, Connie Hawkins, Moses Malone, or Wilt Chamberlain! He's a physically superior athlete in a mediocre time. Let it marinate and release. God is still good, all the time.
Barkley thinks LeBron can be better than Jordan New York (AP) – Charles Barkley thinks Lebron James can be better than Michael Jordan. Jordan is considered by many the best player in NBA history, but Barkley believes his teammate with the Dream Team can be surpassed by James. Who Remembers the Celebrity Boxing Matches back in the day ?? Vanilla Ice vs. Danny Bonaduce etc.The Fights sucked BAD; but I thought it was a good Concept. They just needed better celebrities to box for example; get people that had REAL rivalries. For example: Doug Christie vs Rick Fox II; Kobe Bryant vs.Chris Childs; Deion Sanders vs.Jerry Rice; John Starks vs.Michael Jordan; Shaq vs.Charles Barkley; or Patrick Ewing vs.Alonzo Mourning. Now THAT would have been cool.
Just as Michael Jordan spent a decade dashing the title hopes of Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, and others, so too has Tim Duncan stymied the stars of his era.
I see a lot of all-time NBA top ten players lately, and some debate whether Tim Duncan has earned a spot on that list. For what it is worth, as a long-time fan and student of basketball, here is my all-time NBA-ABA-collegiate top 25(I tried to narrow it to ten, but I was leaving out too many great players)-- In order, regardless of position: (1) Wilt Chamberlain (2) Michael Jordan (3) Bill Russell (4) Oscar Robertson (5) Larry Bird (6) Dr. J, Julius Erving (my favorite player of all time, BTW) (7) Magic Johnson (8) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (9) Lebron James (10) Tim Duncan (11) Kobe Bryant (12) Bob Pettit (13) John Stockton (14) Jerry West (15) Hakeem Olajuwon (16) Shaquille O'Neal (17) John Havlicek (18) Isiah Thomas (19) Elgin Baylor (20) Karl Malone (21) Rick Barry (22) Mel Daniels (23) Charles Barkley (24) David Robinson (25) "Pistol" Pete Maravich (still holds the record as the top collegiate scorer of all time, and did that in three years) Honorable mention-- Elvin Hayes, Bill Walton( Walton was the best ...

NBA: The 2013 All-NBA First Team was announced today (Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Lebron James and Tim Duncan). This may very well be the most dominant All-NBA team, both for one season, as well as from a historical perspective, since 1988 (Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Hakeem Olajuwon).
Kevin Durant is to Lebron James as Charles Barkley/ Karl Malone was to Michael Jordan.meaning that ultimately IMO James will keep Durant from winning a ship if they have to face each other every time Durant gets there.unless they team up, I mean Wade is getting up there in age lol

I can accept Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley being 50. But Randall Cunningham? Not possible. Am I right,
The Top 10 disappointments of the season I am old school and maybe I am not the perfect person to identify the Top 10 disappointments. It's difficult because I can't accept players jacking up shots without regard to percentages. Although over the years the NBA has made it easier to score points by making it illegal to hand-check, many still they shoot poor percentages. Carmelo Anthony is said to be the best all-around scorer in the league, but he shoots 44 percent. Russell Westbrook has taken more shots than Kevin Durant, but he is shooting 44 percent while Durant makes 51 percent of his attempts. Damian Lillard will most likely be Rookie of the Year, but shoots a poor 42 percent. All-Star Paul George is shooting 43 percent. Allen Iverson set the tone in 2000-01 when he won the MVP award making just 42 percent of his shots. I couldn't imagine Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley or Karl Malone shooting a poor percentage during their heyday. That's why it's no mistake ...
Ok, this is why Kobe and Lebron aren't better then Michael Jordan. I understand if you was born in 1994 and never really saw MJ play, but I'm going to give you the business anyway. Exhibit A: Kobe entered the league as a backup to Eddie Jones and wasn't the number 1 option on his team until Shaq left. Kobe didn't have to beat hall of famers to win his rings. Excuse me, but Shaquille O'Neal and Pau Gasol are better then Luc Longley, Bill Wennington, Bison Dele, and Stacey King combined. Kobe didn't leave for 2 years in his PRIME. Kobe didn't have to beat Karl Malone and Stockton twice, Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Detroit Bad Boys, Gary Payton, Patrick Ewing, and Reggie Miller. Exhibit B: Lebron James. Lebron has Dwayne Wade. Dwayne Wade is better then Ron Harper, BJ Armstrong, John Paxson, Randy Brown, COMBINED. Pippen was a beast on defense, and was a solid offensive player, but he didn't have the talent that D Wade or Shaq had/has. Jordan at 6'6 had to carry 85% of the offe ...
TEAM: Don't get caught in the hype. Some of these NBA players are not very good Basketball players. Some of them are fantastic athlete, some of them are very skilled too. But without superior understanding of the game, fundamentals, superior Bball IQ and will to dominate, one cannot be considered a great player. Only a few have been great in the generation I witnessed. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, John Stockton, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Tim Duncan, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, Chris Paul (He already belongs), maybe Lebron (I just need him to have some skills), Allen Iverson (He could have been greater with more discipline). That's all I can think of. Did I miss anybody?
I am really sick and tired of people comparing Lebron James to Michael Jordan. Lebron is a great athlete and an outstanding basketball player but he will never match or surpass everything MJ did...Things Lebron will never acomplish: A National Championship or never lose an NBA Finals series, he's already lost more than one and the Heat lost to Dallas 2 years ago and they cried like a bunch of whiney little kids when they left the court. Michael Jordan and the Bulls NEVER lost an NBA Finals series! Things he will need to do: Win more than 72 games in a regular season, the Bulls went 72-10 in 1996 on their way to a 4th title, Win back to back to back championships more than twice...MJ's list of acomplishments goes on and on...5 time league MVP, 6 time Finals MVP, 3 time Allstars MVP, 4 time NBA scoring champion, 3 time NBA steals champion and on and on...MJ and The Bulls played against some of the greatest players to ever play the game and beat them all, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, Magic ...
Hey Basketball fans and young ones let me give you a history on the NBA! In the Late 70's and early 80's it was a drug infested league and wasn't popular! Doctor J held it together with High Character and Class, that being said Bird and Magic saved the Game period! They spawned the High School class of 1981 with Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, Akeem Olajuwon, Joe Dumars, Jeff Hornacek, Xavier McDaniels, Michael Adams, and Spud Webb who won the Dunk Contest! ON THE TEACHING FRONT AND DEVELOPING COACHES AND PLAYERS, PETE NEWELL, HOWARD GARFINKEL, AND HERB LIVSEY DID JUST THIS! GARFINKEL AND LIVSEY BELONG IN SPRINGFIELD FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO GAME! David Stern and NCAA ruined a lot of great things in the game!
Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley in Space Jam is the 90s equivalent of the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dark Knight Rises. Not really.
All-Time NBA-USA Fantasy Team John Stockton, 6-1, PG Magic Johnson, 6-9, PG Michael Jordan, 6-6, SG Kobe Bryant, 6-6, SG Scottie Pippen, 6-7, SF/SG Lebron James, 6-8, SF Larry Bird, 6-9, SF Kevin Durant, 6-9, SF/PF Charles Barkley, 6-6, PF Karl Malone, 6-9, PF Shaquille O'Neal, 7-1, C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 7-2, C Why Pippen? why over Julius Erving, or even Rick Barry? The greatest role player (and complementary swingman) ever who can hustle and defend, bring down the ball as a point forward and score from the outside or penetrate if needed. Why Shaq over Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell? Could be the most powerful inside force ever. You already have Kareem for finesse, so it'd much better if you can also have an immovable and almost unstoppable monster at the slot.
Sports info of the Day: In the 1984 draft class Michael Jordan was not the 1st overall pick. It was Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon chosen by the Houston Rockets. Sam Bowie was the 2nd pick chosen by the Portland Trailblazers. Michael Jordan was actually the 3rd pick by the Chicago Bulls. Notable Picks: Charles Barkley was 5th pick by the Sixers, John Stockton was 16th by the Utah Jazz. Mavericks Coach Rick Carlisle was the 70th pick by the Boston Celtics. Brazilian Oscar Schmidt was 131st by the NJ/Brooklyn Nets and he never joined the NBA but played elsewhere to finish his career with 49,703 points. That's more than NBA leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who finish with 38,387pts. Carl Lewis was 208th pick by the Bulls but instead of playing he continued with his track and field dream. He went on to win nine Olympic gold medals and eight World Championships gold medals. This is why this is one of the best draft class ever. It produced four NBA hall of famers in Jordan, Olajuwon, Stockton, and Barkley. Rick Carlisle ...
oh really? Michael Jordan, Rondo, Charles Barkley (twice) Tim Duncan, Shaq, Magic Johnson, Kobe and thats just playoffs
"March Madness - Basketball" quotes: "These are my new shoes. They're good shoes. They won't make you rich like me, they won't make you rebound like me, they definitely won't make you handsome like me. They'll only make you have shoes like me. That's it." - Charles Barkley "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan "Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do." - John Wooden "I'm tired of hearing about money money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok." - Shaquille O'Neal “My sister’s expecting a baby, and I don’t know if I’m going to be an uncle or an aunt.” – Chuck Nevitt, North Carolina State basketball player, explaining to Coach Jim Valvano why he appeared nervous at practice “I told him, ‘Son, what is it with you? Happy belated birthday to Michael Jordan and Happy Birthday to Charles Barkley - they both turned 50! "Everybody wanted to be like Mike. Nobody wanted to be like Chuck." - Michael Wilbon
I am not the only one who will become Half-A-Hundred years old this year. Here are just a few people I grew up with not knowing they were my age, and will also be turning the Big Five Oh in 2013: Brad Pitt, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Larry The Cable Guy, Vanessa Williams, Seal, Quentin Tarantino, Jet Li, Mike Myers, Johnny Depp, George Michael, Coolio, John Stamos, Rob Schneider, and Helen Hunt.just to name a few. I can't believe life is playing this cruel joke on me but, at least I'm in the company of some great names in showbiz. LOL!!! Get©
Michael Jordan today was seen with Bill Cosby, Dennis Miller, and Charles Barkley. Apparently the four of them
NBA players, past and present, ie., Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant just to name a few are very bitter, extremely jealous, and harbor a lot of resentment towards there fellow NBA player Lebron James and it needs to stop. Lebron fills up every arena he's playing in and that equals money for the NBA. Commissioner Stern needs to put a stop to such hatred and he needs to start by shutting up that country no talking Bama Charles the worst analyst ever Barkley.as u were

MICHAEL & CHARLES TURN 50: BRUSH WITH GREATNESS Can you believe it? Michael Jordan turns fifty today and Charles Barkley does the same on Wednesday. The next thing you know I'll be telling you Manti Te'o had a fake girlfriend and deer antler spray is the newest thing in PED's. I've had the fortune of being around both of these guys (Jordan for a few months back in 1994, and Barkley for a few decades, starting in the year 1989). While both are sports giants, the two men are on the opposite sides of the public eye. One shies away from the cameras while the other has never met a camera he didn't like. Aside from his failed NBA management ventures, Jordan has kept it on the down-low. Barkley has become, as Michael Wilbon puts it, "the voice of his generation"- a clown prince to some, yet respected by most, and seen in your living room often. I thought I'd share with you a few stories that perfectly illustrate MJ the private person and Sir Charles, the life of the party: It was the summer of 1994: Michael Jord ...
Happy Birthday to Michael Jordan!!! The single, greatest person to ever bounce a basketball... better than anyone before him and better than anyone to play after him... you can take all the legends of old, Wilt Chamberlain, Hakeem Olajuan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Bill Russell, Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill (who still plays, btw), Reggie Miller, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Pat Ewing, Shaq, Shawn Kemp, David Robinson, Scottie Pippen, and many, MANY others, going back even farther than these I just mentioned, and place them all on a pedestal... and you can take all these 'exhibitionists' of today, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Jason Kidd, Chris Bosh, 'Mello' Anthony, Blake Griffin, Lebron James and many more, and put them on another pedestal, they would ALL still be shadowed by the pedestal that Michael Jordan's on. He's the only player in the history of the NBA that had the greatness it took to literally lead his team to repeat 'threepeats' as well as break and set a new season win record that will likel ...
NBA TV is releasing through TNT 3 specials on basketball "greats". Bill Russel from the Boston Celtics, Michael Jordan from the Chicago Bulls and Charles Barkley from the Phoenix Suns??? *** The Round Mound of Rebound never won a NBA Championship, never won the MVP Award. He led the league in rebounding and was an All Star. I guess Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Kareem Abdul Jabbar were busy, lol. Just a coincidence that Charles is an analyst for TNT basketball coverage.
Random vent: So let me get this straight... You get paid millions of dollars to play basketball, you have fans all over the world, but you can't participate in the Dunk Contest for charity. Too good for that? I totally agree with Charles Barkley... Michael Jordan participated in the Slam Dunk competition every year. Dr. J, Shawn Kemp, Vince Carter, Dominiq Wilkens, etc. participated every year and made fans stand on their feet with their talent. Where was Kobe, Lebron, Howard, etc.? Sitting on the side lines watching unknown rookies perform in the spots they should have been in. I love me some basketball, but it's stuff like this that continues to bring down the All Star weekend. If you looked, the only people in the stands were the groupie chicks trying to sleep with a NBA player. LOL!
Lebron James has already made his name shine with stars like Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Shaq, and even Michael Jordan. We can't compare him thou to other players even with Kobe cause they each have a diff role to play in their team... So to LeBron Jame, keep doing what your doing cause your making your team and your fans proud...
Ok so the sports world has been talking about Michael Jordan turning 50 and now I just saw Mugsy Bogues in the shoot out and Charles Barkley was on commentary. Now we need Pat Ewing, Larry Johnson, and Shawn Bradley and we got the makings of Space Jam 2! Oh and of course the Looney Tunes clan!
I take Lebron James side on the whole Jordan, Kobe, Lebron debate. Rings dont define who you are. Because like he said if thats the case then Bill Russell is better than Michael Jordan. You cant define people by championships. There are alot of great players without rings. Like Karl Malone, Reggie Miller, and Charles Barkley. So for those Lebron haters say what you want but LBJ is a better overall player than anybody in history.
I don't know why, but watching these guys as sports commentators makes me feel old. I mean I remember watching all these guys as a little kid. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Karl Malone John Stockton, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Kenny Smith, Reggie Miller, Steve Smith, Chris Mullin, Patrick Ewing, Gary Payton, Chris Webber, etc. I remember being glued to the set watching these guys on the holidays and in the playoffs. And to see them in suits and ties analyzing these new superstars makes me feel so old lol.
I just realized that Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan were born 3 days apart. Both turn 50 next week.
Since when do Championships determine greatness. Michael Jordan was a great before 1991. Gary Payton didnt get a ring until he was *** near on crutches in Miami. Charles Barkley one of the greatest, came to Houston a lil too late. Allen Iverson, Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Dominique Wilkins, Chris Webber, Penny Hardaway, these people were top 10 highlight players, scoring 20+, All Star teams, But No Rings. Yet should we deny them thier greatness. WoW. Let LBJ take over, then what? He Selfish?
He started hanging out with Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley.
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'"- Michael Jordan "He'll never be Jordan. This clearly takes him out of the conversation. He can win as much as he wants to." - Charles Barkley "There would have been something honorable about staying in Cleveland and trying to win it as 'The Man' ... LeBron, if he would've in Cleveland, and if he could've got a championship there, it would have been over the top for his legacy, just one in Cleveland. No matter how many he wins in Miami, it clearly is Dwyane Wade's team." - Charles Barkley "We didn't think about it cause that's not what we were about. "From college, I was trying to figure out how to beat Larry Bird." - Magic Johnson (Saying he would never have teamed up with Larry to win a championship) "Lebron James went to Miami to have Dwayne Wade win him a championship"- Skip Bayless "I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship ...
I wish I was alive during the era of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, and Scottie Pippen! 🏀
I wish Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird still all played today. Straight ballers
Colin Kaepernick can look forward to a career where he's Charles Barkley to Russell Wilson as Michael Jordan...
Softball Rampage Has A Wide Selection of Products.
am watching a documentary of the Dream Team USA during the 92 olympic in Spain Barcelona. in the team was Larry Bird, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Carl Malone, Majic Johnson, Christian Lextner, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Clyde Drexter, Chris Mullin, Patric Ewings. Putting all this stars together as a team was a real job, ego was killing them coz everyone wanted to outshine the other. but it is the best team ever. A must watch documentary if you love basket ball.
Remember the good ol days of basketball? muggsy bouges Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen, Denis rodman, Patrick Ewing. Space Jam the movie? Good days!
Charles Barkley, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Muhammed Ali. We could golf and ill just drive and laugh.
Michael Jordan should be on there with shaq, charles barkley on tnt
As a huge Laker fan , so far this has been a very painful season for me to experience. Regretfully, I don't see them turning it around anytime soon without some major changes within the orginazation. Having said that, there are a lot of people that are overly ecstactic and in their glory that the Lakers are doing SO bad. In terms of the high profile Laker haters , three come to mind who have Big smiles on thier faces, David Stern , Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley! Just saying
What if Deus Ex Human Revolution but with Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan and B-ball instead of Adam Jensen and David Sarif and Augs.

Just had a fantasy all star basketball draft, this is the way that the teams looked. I need you to vote which team wins: team 1: Magic Johnson, Dennis Rodman, John Stockton, Kobe Bryant, and the dream. Team 2: Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Kareem.

Q&A w/ Charles Barkley: If Lebron James can win 4 or 5 titles, he'll enter Michael Jordan's stratsophere.
Though I am not generally "pro any party", I was pro Obama. And this is a huge reason why. Another is this typical day. Like me, I know he probably goes to be late and gets up early. And thanks Karen Stephens. Like Michael Jordan said about Charles Barkley, "You say some things that some of us would like to say."
I saw ESPN had this poll question of the better NBA Draft all-time? 1984: Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley 2003: Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony Any takers?
Watching Open Court on TV with Ernie Johnson, Shaq, Chris Webber, Kenny Smith, Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Steve Kerr & Steve Smith. Do you think LeBron will be better than Michael Jordan?
Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan have been friends for a long time, however tension grew between the two former NBA legends after Barkley called out Jordan for doing a sub-par job as the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats owner. During a recent interview with ESPN Chicago's Waddle and Silvy, to discuss the situation between them and how Jordan reacted to Charles' honest criticism. "Honest is honest. I thought my name was S.O.B and M.F., like *** I couldn't even say anything. I said, 'Dude I can't get on the radio and tell people you been doin' a good job. He's relying on our friendship and I said, 'Dude, I love you, you one of my best friends, period. You been there for me, I been there for you but.' I think he got mad; he surrounded himself with people. One of the really difficult things about being famous, all your friends, you're paying all the bills, they're flying around on your private jet, very few of your friends are ever gonna disagree with you. And I think that's the thing he got most mad abou ...
Seating here at home, watching NBA Open Court. Can people please stop comparing Michael Jordan to other players. There will never be another Michael Jordan. I cant believe what Charles Barkley is saying, this guy said Lebron can possible beat MJ. I just loved Kenny Smith reaction when Charles was talking, Like "Dude Really" what are you saying SHUT UP lol
Charles Barkley recently admitted that Michael Jordan said some harsh things to him after Barkley was critical of Jordan as an owner
"Larry Bird, & Michael Jordan...we owe them a lot as an NBA family." - Charles Barkley
you're right. highly competitive people never, ever gamble. Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, etc nod in agreement.
Let me ask you this. What is up with Charles Barkley saying that lebron is better then Jordan in his first few years. The way how I see it Michael Jordan was the Bruce Lee in the NBA
A Jordan analysis by a couple of NBA greats and Kenny Smith. Is Jordan the greatest of all time? As someone who saw him play, not even at his prime, because I'm only 27, I have to say above and beyond Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time.
It’s best to start this post by saying that there’s no way these Michael Jordan stories can ever be completely verified, even if they are coming from long-time Bulls assistant coach Johnny Bach. It’s been almost 20 years since Jordan played his last game with the Bulls, so I think the statute of lim...
Ok went from livin my Michael Jordan dream to my, end of his career, Charles Barkley dream!!
Do you know why Charles Barkley, Karl Malone, Shawn Kemp, Kevin Johnson, Dominique Wilkins, Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, etc.. didn't win a championship ring ?? Not because they were not good, they were all-stars, Dream Team players... one answer !!! *** Michael Jordan *** Greatest Player Ever *** REAL FACT
Phil Jackson, Jerry West, Charles Barkley, and Oscar Robinson say Lebron James has the potential to be better than Michael Jordan.
I'm sick and tired of Charles Barkley saying that "someday Lebron is James is going to be as good as Michael Jordan." Phil Jackson is saying the same. And he's a millionaire living in Malibu because of Jordan. These guys forgot where they came from. Lebron only has 1 title and he's being compared to MJ? This is the same guy who quit on his team in Cleveland, right? Think MJ would have done that? I'm Just Sayin' - Tony's Deli
The guys debate on whether or not Lebron James will ever be better than Michael Jordan.
Charles Barkley says that Lebron James can be better than Michael Jordan? What do you all think? Yes or No and why?
Charles Barkley: "I didn't think Michael Jordan and somebody compare. Both Jordan and LeBron are perfect. But LeBron is longer, faster and stronger than Jordan.
I've lost all respect for Charles Barkley and Phil Jackson, Lebron James will never be Michael Jordan. M.J is the greatest that ever played the game of basketball.
Phil Jackson believes Lebron James' physical strengths and ability to play four different positions could eventually give the Miami Heat star a leg up on Michael Jordan.
I think Stephen A. Smith done fell and bumped his head. Ain't no way in the world Lebron James is better than Kobe Bryant. And he *** sure aint gone be better than Michael Jordan. Charles Barkley is insane for saying that. Mike has 6 rings, Kobe has 5 and Lebron has 1. This fina be Lebrons 10th season, he had a chance to win 3 championships, but didn't. Lebron has lost 2 only to win one. MJ undefeated in the Finals. I mean yea kobe lost two finals also but he also won 5. And he didnt lose his first final until after he already won 3. So please tell me how is Lebron better than Kobe and how can he become better than Michael. Why, because he's bigger?
No way, not a chance !!! Michael Jordan is the best ever, period, no one else even comes close !
Charles Barkley is a *** Michael Jordan is the best not LeBron .. period...
If I could play "Rub Yo Dome" with 3 other people, it would be Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Ray Allen. Lmfao!
I beat with the BOBCATS when he had Larry Byrd, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley!
Can Lebron James really surpass Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time? Charles Barkley thinks so. I think so to!!
Charles Barkley says LeBron has a chance to be better than Michael Jordan. Wait, what?
So Charles Barkley said Lebron can be greater then Michael Jordan.. No disrespect to Lebron because I'ma fan.. but NO ONE compares to MJ.
Charles Barkley: Lebron James could be better than Michael Jordan

Charles Barkley: "I do think LeBron can be better then Michael Jordan"
Charles Barkley thinks Lebron James can be better than Michael Jordan what do you think?
Wait Charles Barkley is dumb Lebron James is not close to being better den Jordan do closes thing to Michael Jordan if u watch how da game is played is Kobe Bryant and I'm not even a Kobe fan Sixers Allday
I grew up watching the great Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller and Allen Iverson... so how could I not love the game of basketball?
Charles Barkley recently said he thinks Lebron James can possibly be better than Michael Jordan can by the time his career is over. Laugh all you want, but “Sir” Charles might be right. A bit premature to even bring the subject up, but here’s my take - Jordan is the Basketball player of all time, in my opinion. (God in basketball shoes). It’s not clear-cut though as you can debate (Center) Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt did score (100) points and never fouled out of a game. Back to what “Sir” Charles said though. “King” James has a lot left in the NBA tank. Who knows? If LeBron wins a couple more NBA MVP’s and titles; we can debate this. I know this – LeBron is a better rebounder and shot blocker than Jordan was in his prime, Period! Michael Jordan was a better scorer and lock down defender. Also, Jordan was WAY better in the Clutch. On the other hand, “King” James is a triple-double threat like Magic Johnson & “The Big O” Oscar Robertson and will have double the triple-doubles JORDAN ...
Seeing as how training camp is starting, I thought about it long and hard and have settled on a personal top ten list of, not best, but favorite players ever: 1. Tim Hardaway 2. Magic Johnson 3. Michael Jordan 4. Hakeem Olajuwan 5. Charles Barkley 6. Allen Iverson 7. Dwyane Wade 8. Lebron James 9. Reggie Miller 10. John Stockton
I'm clearly going to have to hang the Ryder Cup loss on DL3. Charles Barkley would have been much better than Michael Jordan

Charles Barkley resorts to the slowdown handcheck after Michael Jordan beats him off the dribble:

Did Charles Barkley REALLY just say that Michael Jordan isn't the best basketball player ever and he's overrated? WHAT?
"I look to my right, theres Michael Jordan. I look to my left, theres Charles Barkley or Larry Bird. I didnt know who to throw the ball to"
Michael Jordan scored 52pts and was 24/29 from the field against Charles Barkley in (1988)

Sad to see Andy Roddick retire, the 2009 Wimbledon final was one of the most gut wrenching losses I've ever watched. You could see that was his moment, and he did his best taking arguably the best play ever (Roger Federer) to the verge of defeat in the longest Grand Slam final ever. Andy lost three other Grand Slam finals to Federer who was the Michael Jordan to his Charles Barkley. To me, tennis has always been foreign, but the grit and all out effort play style of Roddick was something any fan of sport could fall in love with.
Going through some old stuff last night and found my old NBA Superstars VHS tape.Michael Jordan "Take My Breath Away", Larry Bird "Small town", Dr. J "The Greatest Love of All", Charles Barkley "The Warrior".great stuff from an awesome era.I miss the 80s!

Just watching the old bball Olympic Games... The Dream Team and hey there pretty *** good... Thing is though I wonder what the 90s Dream Team was like. You know with Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, and Michael Jordan. *** that would be something to see!
When a person thinks of a Dream Team, the first thing that comes to mind is the 1992 Olympics and the USA Basketball team—which featured Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley...
The guy somehow thought it was a joke? During my 50+ years living on this earth, I have been an aficianado of the Olympics; especially the summer games. Memories manifested within my head include 1972's seven gold medals in swimming put up by Mark Spitz for team USA. Then there was Dave Wottle during the Munich Olympics of 1972, bursting past two Kenyans in the 800 meter race on the last lap to achieve first place. How can I possibly forget the 1992 U.S. basketball Dream Team which featured NBA athletes in that venue for the first time. Led by Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley and Larry Bird, America's squad taught the world who played the best hoops. Back in 2005, London was awarded the rights to host this year's Olympic contests. Soon thereafter, that large U.K. metropolis began planning, organizing and constructing in anticipation of the July 27th opening ceremonies. As various components of that endeavor have come to fruition, however, many of them carry an air of mystery and controversy. ...
Top 10 NBA Players of All-Time 1. Michael Jordan Duh. :) MJ is the greatest basketball player this world has ever seen. He refused to lose, a trait possessed by few in the era of high-paid NBA players afraid to get dunked on today. He won six championships against John Stockton, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, and other Hall-of-Famers. While most players suffer from the effects of achy bones and bruises as the years go on, Jordan simply adjusted his game and got better. He was the ultimate leader, the ultimate scorer, and the ultimate defender. If Larry Bird and Magic Johnson brought the NBA out of the doldrums of sports irrelevance, Michael Jordan took it straight to the forefront of American culture. Every aspiring basketball player of the 90s donned his signature jersey and shoes, and the Chicago Bulls became the iconic team of basketball. From now until the end of time, Jordan’s impact will be felt throughout the basketball world. Perhaps someday there will be a player considered bett ...
Litigant Joan Conway I have a feeling a lot of professional golfers are a lot like Tiger Woods, one way or another. Now Tiger is training Michael Phelps, who so happens to have allegedly a gambling problem, like Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. {"Barkley... See More Barkley: Gambling has cost me $10M sports.espn.go.com A few days after golfer John Daly revealed a gambling addiction, Charles Barkley also claims to have a problem. Litigant Joan Conway Gary Player's net worth is about $200 Million, compared to Michael Jordan's $500 Million, and Charles Barkley's $40 Million. If Charles lost 1/4 of his net worth - he is in trouble, because these are gross amounts and not what they have spent in their lifetime, I am assuming because the amounts are calculated by adding their earnings. Gary has a line of merchandise.
Ok my fellow sports fans. I am wondering if you agree with the following statement. Kobe Bryant stirred the pot a few weeks back when he declared that this year's U.S. Men's National Basketball squad would beat the legendary 1992 Dream Team. Hall of Famers like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Larry Bird. True or False? I'm saying if you could time warp the 1992 dream time to today Jordan would be dunk'n all over Kobe and LaBran. But I'd like to hear what other think.

The game takes place in 2053, in "post-cyberpocalyptic Neo New York". Twelve years prior, Charles Barkley performed a powerful dunk called a Chaos Dunk at a basketball game, inadvertently killing most of the people in attendance. As a result, basketball was outlawed and many basketball players were hunted down and killed.[2] In 2053, another Chaos Dunk is performed in Manhattan, killing millions. Barkley is blamed for the Chaos Dunk and is hunted by the B-Ball Removal Department, led by Michael Jordan.[2][4] Barkley is rescued by another outlaw referred to as the Ultimate Hellbane. Hellbane leads Barkley to the tomb of Lebron James, revealing that Hellbane's real name is Balthios, the great grandson of James. The ghost of James tells the two to seek the Cyberdwarf, who is hidden in New York's sewers. While searching for the Cyberdwarf, they are joined by a cybernetic Vince Carter, who has lost his memory. Upon finding Cyberdwarf, the four of them rush to a nearby church, where Barkley's son Hoopz is hidin ...
Michael Jordan: 1992 Dream Team better than 2012 USA squad.. CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (AP) — Michael Jordan said there’s no way Kobe Bryant and this year’s U.S. Olympic basketball team could’ve beaten the 1992 Dream Team. Jordan told The Associated Press on Thursday that he laughed — “I absolutely laughed” — when hearing Bryant’s comments that the squad training in Las Vegas could take down Jordan and company. Jordan said there’s “no comparison” which team was better. “For him to compare those two teams is not one of the smarter things he ever could have done,”Jordan said at a celebrity golf tournament in Charlotte. Jordan said the 1992 team, which included 11 future Hall of Famers and won its six Olympic Games by an average of more than 43 points en route to capturing the gold medal, was a better overall team largely because of the experience it put on the floor. “I heard Kobe say we were not athletic,” said a smiling Jordan as he sat in a golf cart puffing on his cigar w ...
One last post about Dream Team vs. Team USA 2012. Last night was absolute proof that this year's team couldn't/wouldn't stand a chance against the original Dream Team. Spain had Pao and Mark Gasol. That's really it. Mark sat out with 4 fouls basically the entire second half. If you watched the game you saw how close the game really was. Are you really going to tell me that if the Gasol brothers can cause that much trouble, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, and Charles Barkley wouldn't make life much, much harder? Plus there are a couple guys that would have something to say about it. You may have heard of them. Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Magic Johnson. If you can't wipe the floor with Spain, there is no chance on Earth Team USA 2012 would contest the greatness of the Dream Team. Period.
I wish everyone would stop with this Lebron/Michael Jordan comparison. Lebron will be one of the NBA greatest there's no doubt. But seriously Jordan was an entire different breed of basketball player. Jordan was smarter and understood the game. Lebron is just now figuring that out honestly. His years without the college experience have shown over the years. Lets be honest how many championships would Jordan have won if he had. Scottie Pippen and a player like Karl Malone or Charles Barkley. I'm not a hater but we'll see what happens this year. Also I see the Lakers moves but still think OKC is the team to beat.
Tyson Chandler,Lebron James,Kevin Durant,Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul VS Patrick Ewing,Charles Barkley,Larry Bird,Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson. All in they Prime!!..and take each player best game they ever had and that will be their performance that one game..Who will you take?!?!.LEGGO!!
yeah. Lebron James , black mamba kobe , k durant n the team ,flushed the Spaniards n secured gold . Dream Team usa 2012 on par with Dream Team usa 1992 ( Michael Jordan , Magic Johnson , Charles barkley , pippen , ewing ...). end of the debate .
Somewhere out there Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and the rest of the 92 Dream Team are watching this game and laughing their *** off.
She said, 'Dad? Are y'all gonna win tonight? I said, 'Baby, your dad is the best basketball player in the world. I'm going to dominate the game tonight. And I remember... I think I had like 46, 47. I played great. And Michael had 52. And I got home that night, and my daughter was crying, and she said, 'Dad, y'all lost again.' I said, 'Baby, I think Michael Jordan's better than me.' She said, 'Dad, you've never said that before.' I said, 'Baby, I've never felt like that before.' --Charles Barkley
I was so excited to see a recap of the USA basketball "Dream Team" at the '92 Olympics in Barcelona on TV a short while ago...some of the players: Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Scotty Pippin, Larry Byrd, David Robinson, Charles Barkley...just to name a few...these were some of the greatest B-ball players of all time, gathered together to bring honor to our country...they were amazing!
Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird, Scotty Pippen talk about the Dream Team... Barcelona '92 Olympic Games
Usain Bolt says he's the best athlete ever. He's definitely the best sprinter of all time. I go with Michael Jordan as the best athlete ever. Jordan is also the most clutch and the most competitive athlete I've ever seen. It was difficult watching Jordan destroy Charles Barkley and my Phoenix Suns in 1993.
I just watched the 1992 Olympics Dream Team, the USA basketball team. It included 11 hall of famers such as Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson. Great story!!! I was too young to remember it but I'm sure it was fascinating to watch.
Take my back to the '92 Olympic basketball game when Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Michael Jordan played
Jealous that my parents grew up watching Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Scotty Pipen, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley 🏀🏀🏀!
Talk about a Dream Team.1992 Olympics-Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Michael Jordan.and others.what a team!

Watching a story on the Dream Team and Majic Johnson is talking about seeing Michael Jordan on his right, Larry Bird and Charles Barkley on his left and Michal says, "Those are the guys from Space Jam". SMH

Charles Barkley says Clyde Drexler was "jealous" of Michael Jordan!
I finished reading Dream Team early this morning. I highly recommend it to any who enjoys good journalism, sports, or like me, wants to reminisce and get more of the inside story about a great collect of basketball players mostly in their prime. One other thing I'd like to point out is that I enjoyed Jack McCallum's sense of humor in relating the story. The most memorable quote of the games probably came from Charles Barkley (no surprise there), who said, when asked how the team would play against Angola, "I don't know nothin' about Angola, but Angola is in trouble." The other anecdote that made me literally laugh out loud was the author writing about the results of Google Alerts he did on all of the players, most notably the comparison of people from various occupations with Michael Jordan, as in so-and-so is "the Michael Jordan of. I'll let you read the results, if you've a mind to do so, but suffice it to say I don't think I've laughed as heartily at something in a book since Lew Schnake showed me ...
Somehow, I don't think a team led by Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen and Charles Barkley would have to squeak by Lithuania.

“When I was a kid I was watching MJ’s (Michael Jordan) tapes and thinking he was from another planet. Something unreachable, untouchable. The same thing as Charles Barkley and Magic (Johnson) and Larry (Bird) and then I found myself 15 years later raising the same trophy they did. It was an unbelievable story.” Emmanuel "manu" Ginobili
Charles Barkley said Clyde Drexler was jealous of Michael Jordan on the Dream Team.
If this was to happen with '92 and '12 Dream Teams this would be the starting five: Magic Johnson vs Deron Williams Michael Jordan vs Kobe Bryant Larry Bird vs Kevin Durant Charles Barkley vs Lebron James Patrick Ewing vs Tyson Chandler
Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing? This team wouldn't beat the team of 92. *** off
I would have loved to have watched the USA team from 1992 Michael Jordan, David Robinson, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley would be amazing
Tyson Chandler over Pat Ewing/David Robinson? No! Lebron James over Larry Bird? Close but it's LARRY!! Kobe Bryant over Michael Jordan? MJ! Chris Paul over Earvin Johnson? Huh? Kevin Durant over Charles Barkley? Chuckie 24/7.
If you were to play in a golf tourney. Who would you want for your partner Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley?
Anyone seen Michael Jordan lately? 2012 Michael Jordan appears to have eaten 1992 Michael Jordan along with an 89' Charles Barkley

"Well, I'm glad Michael Phelps has silenced his critics or has he? This guy now has 15 gold medals, 2 silver, and 2 bronze for the most rewarded Olympian ever. Of course, this is his 4th Olympics, since he started at age 15, but so what? Through all the adversity that this guy has been through namely a learning disorder and growing up in a single-parent home, it's so very obvious that he had to work for everything that he received. And the way he's going out? Let's face it, alot of your great athletes like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Willie Mays could not go out the way Phelps is retiring. Finally, Phelps is not a big gazork like most of these swimmers from around the world; his height stands at 6' 4". Most likely, he's the best swimmer that you'll ever see race off the blocks." God Bless you always.
Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan. One and only Dream Team
up watching Michael Jordan vs Charles Barkley , man the awesome . both of them gone drop 42 points !
With the current team in the midst of its London preparations, the question was posed to one of the team's leaders, Kobe Bryant, as to how his team stacked up with the legends of past. Bryant's answer was simple: his team would win. With shockwaves circling the globe, both Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan were asked for their opinions and, like Bryant, their answer was also simple: he's joking, right?
I hate how they said Lebron, Kobe, etc will be the best Dream Team. But the team with Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley would dust them.
Clyde Drexler, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Chris Mullin, Michael Jordan .. their will never be a better team in sports ; Ever. let it go .. The Dream Team.

Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird & Michael Jordan in the same team = you've already lost
"Michael Jordan took 7 years to win a ring, and stayed with one team for 12 years and won 6 rings, if all footballers could stop trying to jump ship to win a trophy and take the easy way then they will never get any respect for what they win. Its better to be a legend with no rings (Charles Barkley) than be a winner with no dignity (Lebron) and this same logic can be applied to RVP, he is/was loved by the fans he is living in London (better than manchester) and had the respect of other club fans which is not easy to gain, now all of this has been lost...for what a championship?" This was said by an United fan btw lol has a point I guess
Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Larry Bird... I don't need to go on.. that alone, BLUDDY ***
The reason this Dream Team couldn't beat the original dream is because the original team had in their prime Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Hakeem, David Robinson, Ewing, Malone, Stockton, Mullen, Charles Barkley, etc the only ones past their prime were Magic and Bird. The size and strength of the original team would neutralize the athletic advantage of this team. The only match up problem would be who would guard James and Westbrook but this team has no one to guard the three centers off this team because Chandler would foul out and those centers would close off the paint and force the team to make jump shots

Don’t tell me you know about basketball if you haven’t seen the following: 1. Shaq breaking the backboard his Rookie year vs. the Suns 2. Allen Iverson crossing over Michael Jordan 3. You just cant compare Charles Barkley to Michael Jordan...wait, what number was Charles Barkley anyway?
Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley have all issued statements after Kobe Bryant said that the 2012 Olympic team would beat the Dream Team. Michael, Magic, and Barkley all agreed that the comment was ridiculous. Larry Bird, however, has a different take. The legendary three-point shoo...
For those of you who are unaware or are going through a revisionist phase... Magic Johnson was SIX FOOT NINE INCHES... Charles Barkley was a consistent 30 point 20 rebound threat... Michael Jordan was the deadliest guard to step foot on a court... And many a brotha got embarrassed thinking Larry Bird was just good because he was a "white boy!" I absolutely Love Today's players... They are awesome... Especially Kobe and LBJ. But don't get it twisted... That freakin Dream Team was a NIGHTMARE.
Charles Barkley's reaction to Kobe's comment about defeating the Dream Team. . "I just started laughing. How old is Kobe Bryant? He's 34? And he's calling us old? At the time, we were only like, 28, 29. Michael Jordan and Me were the same age, we were both 29... other than Kobe, Lebron James and Kevin Durant. I DON'T THINK ANYBODY ELSE ON THAT TEAM MAKES OUR TEAM." --Charles Barkley . very well said Chuck!
Kobe Bryant ruffled some pretty prestigious basketball feathers when he claimed that this year's American men's basketball team would defeat the 1992 Dream Team. Players like Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan all scoffed at the idea, saying that the Dream Team would l...
