The NBA is not what it use to be...back in the days 80s 90s and 00.. you had great players Dr J, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant etc. These guys play for one maybe two teams.now you have players is jumping from one team to another team like Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and many more players is trying to play on a team where they don't want to be the man.all I'm saying is why you have five guys waiting on one man to make his decision on where he playing at next season that's all, is it about the money or is they chasing rings which one is it!

what did happen to the leagues 2 gaurds? its a question worth exploring.. In 1997-98, eight of the NBA’s top 25 scorers were shooting guards: Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, Allen Iverson, Michael Finley, Steve Smith, Isaiah Rider, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. Five of those players are either in the Hall Of Fame or will be. At the All-Star break this season, just four shooting guards ranked in the top 25: Harden, DeRozan, Arron Afflalo and Monta Ellis. Kevin Martin fell just outside the top 25, ranking 27th in the league in points per game. There isn’t a surefire Hall Of Famer in the bunch. In 1997-98, Jordan was the NBA’s No. 1 scorer, with Richmond fifth and Iverson ninth. This season, Harden is tied for seventh. In 1997-98, eight shooting guards averaged at least 19.5 points a game. This season, there are two. Two of the all-time greats, Bryant and Wade, are still around, but they might not reach an elite level again. The league is now dominated by powerful small forwards (Kevin Durant, LeBron Ja ...
Bob Pettit and Kobe Bryant are the only two players to win the All-Star Game MVP four times. Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O'Neal have each won the award three times, while Bob Cousy, Julius Erving, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Allen Iverson, and Lebron James have all won the award twice. James' first All-Star MVP in 2006 made him the youngest to have ever won the award at the age of 21.[4] Four of the games had joint winners—Elgin Baylor and Pettit in 1959, John Stockton and Malone in 1993, O'Neal and Tim Duncan in 2000, as well as Bryant and O'Neal in 2009. O'Neal became the first player in All-Star history to share two MVP awards. The Los Angeles Lakers have had eleven winners while the Boston Celtics have had eight. Duncan of the U.S. Virgin Islands is the only winner not born in the United States.

THE STEPH CURRY SHOW The third quarter was all about Curry. He was dazzling, wowing Julius Erving at one end, Johnny Manziel on the other and pretty much frustrating the Heat at all points in between. Curry became the first player with at least 36 points, 12 assists and eight 3-pointers in a game since Antoine Walker (former Heat player) did it for Boston on Jan. 17, 2001. The only other players with at least 35 points and 12 assists against the Heat in a game: Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson.
Lebron James is the best basketball player ever eaven better than Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson and Magic Johnson

This weekend passed Chauncey Billups, Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan on the career assist list. He's currently No. 37 all-time.
Kobe Bryant - Our Legend Allen Iverson talks legacies, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Michael Jordan. On Kobe: ''It's in his heart. That killer is in him.'' *** yeah he's going to be Kobe. It's in his heart. He's a killer-You don't have to worry about Kobe Bryant. That killer is in him, regardless. If he had to go out there and play on a wheelchair, he's going to be the best player in a wheelchair that you've ever seen.'' ''When we talk about basketball 20-30 years from now...you might not say they [Kobe, Durant] are better than Mike [Jordan], but as far as greatness, you have to talk about Kobe. You just have to." -Allen Iverson
Y'all act like Michael Jordan didn't get Cross overed by Allen Iverson . The league kissed Jordan's *** so much . AI's killer cross over was banned ...✌️󾍃😎
I' have to thank Michael Jordan for jus giving me a vision...Without that vision I don't think it would have been possible...He made me wanna play basketball,he showed me the way-Allen Iverson R.E.D
Here is the video of Allen Iverson announcing that he is officially retired. He thanked his coaches, his teammates, and all those who supported him all over the years. "He played like a 6-8 2-guard," James said of Iverson. "He was one of the greatest finishers we've ever seen. You could never question his heart. Ever." The 38-year-old Iverson, an 11-time All-Star, finished his career averaging 26.7 points per game, the sixth-best career scoring mark in league history. He trails only Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Lebron James, Elgin Baylor and Jerry West in career points per game. At just 6 feet tall, Iverson is the smallest player ever to average 20 points or more for his career. How many likes for this NBA Legend? -Tony -LBJSJR

Did you know Kobe Bryant has MORE career assists than Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson,Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Nick Van Exel, Avery Johnson, Chauncey Billups, Mike Bibby, Chris Paul, Lebron James, Tony Parker,Deron Williams,Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry, Dr.J, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, TMac, Dwayne Wade, Vince Carter to name a few, in fact it would have been easier to name who's ahead of Kobe. There are only 2 active players that have more career assists than Kobe and they are Steve Nash and Andre Miller.
Being unique is the best way for you to market yourself. Why be like someone else when you can influence others to be like you. Make sure your choices are the best possible. Others are following you. Hold that mirror up and make sure you are who you say you are. We need more real people and less pretenders. I want to be know as authentic, not a carbon copy of so and so. Side bar: You can be the greatest at what you do and still get crossed over at the foul line. I'm talking about Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson if you are not familiar. People pay for difference. What's in your wallet lol
We've all had discussions amongst friends over who would have given Michael Jordan a run for his money in a game of one-on-one. Most NBA heads would agree that MJ was so good that the next best thing seems to pale in comparison to His Airness. I'm not here to dispute the fact that Michael Jeffrey Jordan is the best to ever lace 'em up. I'm simply here to talk about a topic Jordan himself has mentioned in recent days. A game of one-on-one. Jordan spoke of Who he'd like to play in a game mano-e-mano. Let's assume each game takes place while players are in their prime. Here is a list of the top players we'd like to see Michael Jordan play 1 on 1. 10. Allen Iverson Allen Iverson wasn't your prototypical NBA shooting guard. The Answer, as he was affectionately referred to, lacked physical size, but his heart and toughness won over fans around the league. Standing 6-feet tall, with lightning quickness and unmatched determination, AI took the league by storm in the late '90s and early 2000's, averaging over 30 p ...
Ok im about to be real about something with this Michael Jordan stuff thats going around. Everybody throws only the few names out there which are Carmelo, Lebron, Kobe, and KD. Folks act like they dont remember Allen Iverson. A true 1 on 1 basketball game actually is played "I score then your ball". With that being said it would probably just come down to whoever has the ball last because although Allen Iverson wouldnt be able to stop Jordan, Jordan wouldnt be able to stop him period.
Would you rather Chat with Allen Iverson or meet Michael Jordan in person? :D.
The Ultimate player would be: Lebron James' size and driving ability Gary Payton's perimeter D Bill Russel's Post D and rebounding Dennis Rodman's intensity Michael Jordan's clutchness and ability to take over a game Ray Allen's jumpshot Kobe Bryant's confidence Wilt Chamberlain's finishing touch Allen Iverson's crossover Nate Robinson's quickness and vertical Magic Johnson's passing skill John Stockton's court vision Jason Kidd's coaching ability from the court and sportsmanship If anybody has got anything to add or change please comment and I will consider editing the ultimate player. -Nic
Without a doubt in my mind, Ray Allen's 3-pt shot in Game 6 of the NBA Finals was the reason Miami were celebrating an NBA Championship instead of the Spurs. Where would this amazing shot fall under ''The greatest shots in Finals history'' list? Here's my list: 1. Michael Jordan hits the game-winning jump shot, also known as ''The Last Shot'' against the Utah Jazz in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. 2. Magic Johnson uses Kareem's skyhook with seconds left, to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. 3. Michael Jordan's flu-game in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. Who doesn't know about this game?! MJ hit a three-pointer with 25 seconds left to seal the victory for the Bulls. 4. Ray Allen: Ray-Ray saves the day for the Miami Heat and LeBron's legacy by hitting a corner three with just a few seconds remaining in the game. The Heat went on to win the Finals in 7 games against the Spurs. 5. Allen Iverson in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals hits a 3 pointer in OT along with the famously known step back jumper and ste ...

America loves mediocre or less talented things, America is marketed by the propaganda media as a country of winners but in reality nothing can be further from the truth, In America the mindset is backwards, people love the less talented individuals but hate the people with actual talent? For example, In this country people loved when Allen Iverson crossed over Michael Jordan but forgot that Jordan scored 45 points & won the game, it was a good "moment" but people got caught up on the crossover move but the fact is the 76ers lost the game? America's psychology is based on believing more fiction & less reality. Even when you have facts to back up your words people will still believe in a mediocre lie more than a credible truth. I just think America is a nation of lackluster thinkers who only think but so far while the people who are in depth thinkers are scorned for being more educated then the lackluster thinkers, in America people hate on people who are more talented then them & the sad thing about is the ...

For years the NBA has been rigging it's games. The reason ,simple to make more money. The NBA is a business. It's goal is to make as much money as possible. David Stern does not care about the quality of games or who has the best team. Stern cares about making money nothing else. During the Michael Jordan era the NBA became very profitable in selling there merchandise .It's a very complicated business ,TV ratings, ticket sales, jersey's, shoes sales. David Stern has done a good job at making the NBA profitable. But at what a cost, it is estimated that between 57% & 88% of all Americans know the NBA is Rigged. So that lives only a small percentage of manly uneducated blacks or young teens for the NBA to market there product to. Of the basketball shoes that are sold for $ 100 or more 80% are sold to inner city black kids. So what Stern does is he hypes the Black basketball player such as Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James. How does Stern hype these players ? Stern's officiating crews are ...

The Top 10 disappointments of the season I am old school and maybe I am not the perfect person to identify the Top 10 disappointments. It's difficult because I can't accept players jacking up shots without regard to percentages. Although over the years the NBA has made it easier to score points by making it illegal to hand-check, many still they shoot poor percentages. Carmelo Anthony is said to be the best all-around scorer in the league, but he shoots 44 percent. Russell Westbrook has taken more shots than Kevin Durant, but he is shooting 44 percent while Durant makes 51 percent of his attempts. Damian Lillard will most likely be Rookie of the Year, but shoots a poor 42 percent. All-Star Paul George is shooting 43 percent. Allen Iverson set the tone in 2000-01 when he won the MVP award making just 42 percent of his shots. I couldn't imagine Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley or Karl Malone shooting a poor percentage during their heyday. That's why it's no mistake ...

TEAM: Don't get caught in the hype. Some of these NBA players are not very good Basketball players. Some of them are fantastic athlete, some of them are very skilled too. But without superior understanding of the game, fundamentals, superior Bball IQ and will to dominate, one cannot be considered a great player. Only a few have been great in the generation I witnessed. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, John Stockton, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Tim Duncan, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Charles Barkley, Chris Paul (He already belongs), maybe Lebron (I just need him to have some skills), Allen Iverson (He could have been greater with more discipline). That's all I can think of. Did I miss anybody?

Dwyane Wade Rank among the All-Time Shooting Guards? By James Christopher Wong on July 1, 2010 Next Drawing comparisons between players of different eras and time periods seems to be a common interest of sports fans. Supporters of the NBA in particular, find themselves constantly surrounded by debates regarding the historical significance of players like Kobe Bryant and Lebron James. The question that I keep asking myself is, what about Dwyane Wade? Where does the man known as 'The Flash' rank in history? A recent article, highlighting a writer's opinion on the top 10 shooting guards in NBA History, compelled me to give my personal take on Wade's place in history. When identifying the greatest shooting guards in NBA history, it's relatively easy to pick out Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Jerry West as arguably the top echelon. Who follows after them? George Gervin or Allen Iverson? Clyde Drexler or Pete Maravich? Don't forget Earl Monroe, Joe Dumars and Reggie Miller! In my opinion Wade is already a top- ...
top five favorite basketball players of all time in order Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Dirk Nowitzki, and Allen Iverson
Michael Jordan vs. Lebron James   WARNING: THIS ARTICLE IS FOR THE DIEHARDS.   I believe that Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. I believe that not only did he dominate the court, collecting hardware, setting records, and grasping the awe of fans and haters alike, but he also transcended beyond it, becoming a global pop culture phenomenon.   It’s a phenomenon that’s still standing, and will stand until the very end of time. It’s a phenomenon that makes him more than “His Airness”, but actually makes him King of basketball.   Throughout his tenure in the league, however, there have been other “suitors” to his basketball throne. There was a time when players like Tracy Mcgrady, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill, and Kobe Bryant all threatened Jordan’s title of being the G.O.A.T. As of 2013, only one of those players has realistically gotten close: Kobe Bryant. But now in the twilight of his career, even all of his accomplishments pale in ...
Top 3, 2 guards of all time. 1. Allen Iverson. 2. Michael Jordan. 3. Reggie Miller.
Cool Tips For Basketball Players Shoot, Shoot, and Then Shoot Some More "The weakest part of Michael's (Jordan's) game on the offensive end was his shooting and so he obviously mastered something everyone said he couldn't do...and he did by shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting consistently. This guy said what are my weaknesses and how do I make them my strengths and he did it." -Phil Jackson, on Michael Jordan's shooting success. If I could only give you only one piece of advice this would be it: Become a good shooter! In my opinion, becoming a good shooter is the most important thing you could ever do in order to become a successful basketball player. Every NBA super star, every great college player, every playground legend...can pretty much attribute their success to one thing...their ability to shoot. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Allen Iverson, Larry Bird, Lebron James, Carmello Anthony, Reggie Miller, J.J. Redick, Ray Allen, Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki and virtually all the oth ...

All I know is growing up, I liked Allen iverson, I wasn't a huge Michael Jordan fan
You heard Michael Jordan he think kobe is better then Lebron
Since when do Championships determine greatness. Michael Jordan was a great before 1991. Gary Payton didnt get a ring until he was *** near on crutches in Miami. Charles Barkley one of the greatest, came to Houston a lil too late. Allen Iverson, Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Dominique Wilkins, Chris Webber, Penny Hardaway, these people were top 10 highlight players, scoring 20+, All Star teams, But No Rings. Yet should we deny them thier greatness. WoW. Let LBJ take over, then what? He Selfish?
1.The award is called "Most Valuable Player" for a reason. LeBron has three and Kobe has one. Other players who have won one include Allen Iverson and Dirk Nowitzki. All stars, of course, and possibly eventually Hall-of-Famers. There are four other players who have won three MVP awards: Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Julius Erving and Magic Johnson. All of these players are in the discussion for greatest of all time. Don't be surprised if LeBron eventually wins more—which will put him in the category with the likes of Wilt Chamberlain (4) and Michael Jordan (5). Of course greatness doesn't solely depend on MVP awards. But, while comparing these two, remember they played in the same era. Kobe was nearly the scoring champion this year (2012), so the MVP award is pertinent to the discussion of these two. In the three years he won the award, the sportswriters who voted for the MVP winner agreed that LeBron was a better player than Kobe. 2.You read that right. Contrary to popular belief, Lebron James is a better ...
Michael Jordan just said he'd take Kobe over Lebron. Suck it Lebron fans.
Watching the NBA Slam Dunk marathon on NBA network...remember how awesome it was when the big names participated? Now playing 1988 with Clyde Drexler, Spud Webb, Michael Jordan, Jerome Kersey, and Dominique Wilkins.
WASHINGTON – This was on the morning of the first home game, back in November 2001, when there was still hope for Michael Jordan as a Washington Wizard. And yet he already seemed tired by it all. We stood in an area beneath the stands of what was then called the MCI Center – myself, a reporter from Japan and a writer from Sports Illustrated. "This is an elite opportunity!" shouted a man who walked Jordan to us. But it hardly felt elite. The Wizards had just finished their morning shootaround. It was cold in the arena, which also houses a hockey team. Jordan shivered. He smiled wanly at the Sports Illustrated writer, a man with whom he was friendly, but whose magazine he hated for once imploring him to give up his brief baseball career. The man, as a matter of routine, asked Jordan to let him interview him. Jordan, as had become his custom too, declined. It was almost a joke between them. The Japanese reporter handed Jordan a DVD as a gift. He took it awkwardly. He mumbled a couple of words about being ...
No one will EVER be better then Michael Jordan. EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER... Next person that says Lebron could beat Jordan, you will get punched in the throat!!! NEVER GONNA HAPPEN...
FUN FACT: Michael Jordan once averaged 33.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 11.4 assist in 11 games. During that 11 games, he had 10 triple doubles. - Dan
My basketball style Kobe Bryant ,Allen Iverson ,Hot Sauce and Pistol Pete mixed with a little Michael Jordan ..I'm serious... I'm just 5foot 7 or 8 tho so people got height advantage over me but I can Jump High and I'm Fast with handles :)
3 players LeBron looked up to was Michael Jordan ,, Kobe Bryant ,, and Allen Iverson
To my young coaches, even Michael Jordan had to practice. Don't let your star player become Allen Iverson.
Allen Iverson is my favorite player, but what people dont know is that i watch and study Michael Jordan just as much as Allen Iverson
Allen Iverson and Tracy Mcgrady can't play in the NBA at 36. Of course Michael Jordan can still play at 50. Come on back, MJ. Magic too.
I wish Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird still all played today. Straight ballers

Who is the greatest player to play the game and why I say Micheal Jordan Because : Michael Jordan is incomparable. He played during the most physical and most competitive period in NBA history, the 1980s to late 1990s. You put those two during Michael Jordan Era with all hand checking and little or no flagrant fouls as well as hard core trash talk in front of you after a dunk shot made, shot rejection or just simply pure trash talk each and every time players during MJ's era did possession after possession. You cannot do that anymore in this present time. Im waiting for someone to say LeBron -Will
Here are some little facts about yesterdays game that opened my eyes. Kobe moved past Allen Iverson into 37th place in career assists, with 5,630. which isn't so great but he needs only 66 more assists to pass these three legends: Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Larry Bird. And they call him a ballhog?
Vote: Who has the Best cross over today in Basketball? In the Past for me all time favs Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Allen Iverson...
Kobe Bryant (5,630) needs just 4 more ast to pass Michael Jordan (5,633) for total career ast.
After several discussions with individuals who really know basketball, study it. Michael Jordan would lose in a 1 on 1 game against Kobe Bryant. Kobe vs. Lebron would be a close one.

with 14 assists in their win vs. Jazz, Kobe now has 5,630 assists & surpassed Allen Iverson(5,624) to moved up to 37th place in All-Time Assists Leaders! he only needs 4 more assists to move to 36th place & to surpass the G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan! BALLHOG or just HATERS -kaido-
Michael Jordan didnt start out as Air Jordan. Sean Carter didnt start out as Jay Z. Greatness takes time. Practice.unless ur Allen Iverson
When the new generation think of Michael Jordan all they remember is when Allen Iverson crossed him
Pardon me while I yawn about Lebron James being the "youngest" to achieve 20,000 points. What a meaningless stat! Ok, he's 7th fastest on terms of games played. Behind Wilt Chamberlain, who needed 499 games, Michael Jordan (620), Oscar Robertson (671), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (684), Elgin Baylor (711) and Allen Iverson (713). Shaquille O’Neal did it in 727 games.
Wilt, Kareem, Allen Iverson, Oscar Robertson, and of course Michael Jordan all hit 20,000 points in less GAMES than LeBron him being the youngest only means he's the least educated (no college)

To me I would always put Allen Iverson up in the same category with Michael Jordan. Ain't nobody really played the game like Iverson did

In case you missed it: New York Times November 8, 2012 A Basketball Fairy Tale in Middle America By SAM ANDERSON N.B.A. scoring champions are, as a rule, weirdos and reprobates and in some cases diagnosable sociopaths. Something about dominating your opponent, publicly, more or less every day of your life, in the most visible aspect of your sport, tends to either warp your spirit or to be possible only to those whose spirits are already warped. Michael Jordan, when he wasn’t busy scoring, was busy punching a teammate in the face and gambling away small fortunes. Allen Iverson, in his spare time, recorded an aesthetically and morally terrible rap album and gave an iconic speech denigrating the very notion of practice. Kobe Bryant is and shall forever be Kobe Bryant. Wilt, Shaq, Pistol Pete, Dominique, McGrady, McAdoo, Rick Barry — it’s a near-solid roster of dysfunction: sadists, narcissists, malcontents, knuckleheads, misanthropes, womanizers, addicts and villains. Anyone comparing David Stern to Pete Rozelle is an *** Stern has been a terrible commissioner and the NBA will be better off when he finally steps down in 2014. The success of the league has been due to marque superstars like Julius Erving, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O' Neal, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James. Stern has actually tried to lessen those players impacts and transfer the power to the owners who have always pulled his strings. Good riddance...

When discussing something like the greatest player of all time in a sport.biased doesn't work yet clearly you see many share they views with bias based on who they "like" and it clouds there judgment. I mean you see a lot of people actually say Kobe is the GOAT and honestly, I don't even argue with them cuz I know they either trolling or biased cuz anyone who has watched basketball and followed the great sport knows that's a joke. Anyway, this is all I say when somebody is silly enough to go off they emotions and stannery to say such nonsense. - 40+ point playoff games Michael Jordan 38 Kobe Bryant 13 Shaquille O'Neal 12 Lebron James 11 Hakeem Olajuwon 11 Allen Iverson 10 Dirk Nowitzki 7 Dwyane Wade 7 Charles Barkley 5 Larry Bird 5 Dominique Wilkins 5 Five players tied with 4 Six players tied with 3 Twelve players tied with 2 ...and 30 players with 1 45+ point playoff games Michael Jordan 23 Allen Iverson 7 Lebron James 6 Kobe Bryant 5 Dirk Nowitzki 3 H. Mark Jackson thinks Reggie Miller is the best shooting guard in NBA history not named Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan. It's a fair argument with other candidates in the mix including Earl Monroe, Ray Allen, Jerry West, George Gervin, Clyde Drexler, Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson and Bill Sharman.

Just watching the U.S. Basketball game, hey you haters, Lebron James is the best athlete in the world, if you don't believe it watch him 6'9" 270 moves like Allen Iverson and now has a long-range game. If you don't like him you are simply a hater. Durant is easily but God has blessed James with a supreme gift and wether you believe it or not, humility. Let's face it when you are that good it's not bragging it is merely statement of fact. The only reason he is not better than Michael Jordan as a baller is he is just developing his leadership to that level and will get there barring injury. So go ahead and hate while all he does is improve.

One of the best sports TV documentaries was the NBA Dream Team Documentary that came on a couple of days ago on TV. If you enjoy watching basketball and are a fan of the sport it is the documentary to watch. The Dream Team was definitely the best basketball team ever assembled. I am kind of glad Michael Jordan finally admitted publicly in the documentary snubbing Isaiah Thomas off the 1992 Olympic Team. I guess if you *** off enough people and rub people the wrong way enough as Isaiah did that stuff unfortunately can happen. Although I was never a Detroit Pistons fan I do have to say that Isaiah Thomas had the heart of a lion and I’ve never seen a 6FT guard ever take over a game in so many big games like he did except Allen Iverson. He definitely deserved to be on that team body of work wise. You definitely have to appreciate the basketball players that played in the NBA in the 80’s and early 90’s because defensively back then you can get away with being a lot more physical defensive wise and hard ...
If Lebron James can win then maybe all the haters will get off his back. I am not a Heat fan not really an NBA fan, but i think Lebron James is a great player and person. people glorify who the media tells you to. Michael Jordan was addicted to gambling, pain killers, and cheated on his wife that broke up their family. Yet he is still loved and glorfied. Tiger does the same and is hated. Lebron does none of the above as a matter of fact he has done nothing wrong. The decision that everyone critisizes him for was done simply as a charity event from which all proceeds went to the the boys and girls club. In an era where althletes are all about the hype and money and fame I would think we would try and support a guy that gives back and acts like a stand up guy. Rather than ridicule him and glorify these other street thug *** that got out of there bad life style and brought it with them when they had every opportunity to change there future (Allen Iverson, Stephon Marbury, Meta Worldeace, etc) Go Heat and G ...
James ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list, behind only the likes of Michael Jordan (33.5), Allen Iverson (29.7) and Jerry West (29.1). However, he is the only player in NBA Playoff history that can boast a 28, eight and six stat line. Looking at other playoff greats, let's look at the active players first. Statistically LeBron is as dominant, if not more dominant, than any current player in NBA postseason history. But looking at the likes of Kobe Bryant (25.6 PPG, ninth in NBA career playoff scoring), Tim Duncan (22.5, 28th), and even Dirk Nowitzki (26.0, seventh) and Dwyane Wade (25.5, 10th), the thing separating King James from the rest is that lack of winning a championship.
Oh and Chris Mullin. Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, Detlef Schrempf, Chris Mullin, Alan Houston, and then Allen Iverson 5 more times.

Last week while I was in Fort Worth texas all I heard brothers say was Kobe aint this and he aint that but what these brothers failed to realize is that Kobe is a 5time champion, a 2time finals MVP, a 4time allStar Game MVP, a scorer of 81pts in a single game, a 13 time allstar, an all NBA first team member, an all nba defense team member, a killer in the clutch and a last second game shot winner (remember how he quieted the grizzlie crowd years ago).Kobe will retire as a top 5 player of all time!!! Kobe loves the game more than money and he improves his game every year. Kobe will get a 6th ring before he retires just wait and see. In my era Shaq, Kobe, Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan were the most dominate players hands down! Allen Iverson has the highest career scoring average right behind Michael Jordan. Kobe is the best player of my era hands down! Michael Jordan is the best player that I have ever seen and Kobe is the closet to him! People hate on Kobe but the man can flat out ball with the best of
