Miami Heat: James Ennis Is a Building Block the Heat may need. The future of the Miami Heat is uncertain at this point, as Norris Cole and Chris Andersen will be the only players locked in contractually after this season. It casts a vague image of who to expect in a Heat uniform going forward, but one player Miami can rely on is James Ennis. Ennis, a 6'7" small forward out of Long Beach State, was drafted with the No. 50 overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He was immediately traded to the Heat, but no available roster spot has Ennis playing out this season in Australia. Ennis is currently the starting small forward for the Perth Wildcats, where he has taken the National Basketball League by storm. The Wildcats are 16-6 to lead the NBL and, while the team deserves credit, Ennis has played a big part. Offense He's currently averaging 22.3 points per game (which trails the league-leading ranking by just 0.1 points), in addition to 7.3 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent. Ennis' 6'11" wi ...
Today, I proudly wore one of my Miami Heat jerseys. Four NBA FINALS in a row and WINNING two of them is amazing. THANKS Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Chris Anderson, Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Toney Douglas, Justin Hamilton, Udonis Haslem, James Jones, Rashard Lewis and Greg Oden for giving us a GREAT year of Basketball and taking us to FOUR NBA FINALS in a row. You did something that Dan Marino never could do and that is WIN the biggest and final game of the sesson.
KUDOS TO THE MIAMI HEAT by Obie Usategui For all of us basketball fans, the Miami Heat's resounding victory over the Indiana Pacers last Friday night clinching the championship of the Eastern basketball Conference was all but a sight to behold. The Heat's 117-92 win over the Pacers earned them the right to yet their fourth consecutive trip to the finals against the San Antonio Spurs - becoming the first team ever since the Boston Celtics in the mid 1980's to achieve this feat. Notwithstanding the magnanimity of the Heat's athletic triumph, for anyone who watched the six games Conference series, there were some indelible lessons to be learned which candidly could be applied by all of us in our daily lives, to wit, I thought the series proved, one more time, that "class" and "character" are just as much a part of winning in life as "talent" is, perhaps more. Arguably, the Heat's Lebron James will go down in history as one of the best that ever played the game. There are, if you will, many players who cann . ...
Lance Stephenson flagrant foul on Norris Cole in the face and gets called for the flagrant foul as the Indiana Pacers play the Miami Heat in game six of the ...
One of the most flagrant fouls of the week-long Indiana Pacers-Miami Heat NBA playoffs series began tonight when the Pacers' Lance Stephenson went for a loose ball against the Heat's Norris Cole. The Heat guard ended up with a hard face-slap.
Lance Stephenson's heartfelt message for Lebron James and the Heat The Pacers may not have won, but basketball fans will never forget Lance Stephenson’s hilarious antics in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Heat. In the span of one series, Stephenson tried to get inside Lebron James’ head by saying he has a weakness, was fined $15,000 for flopping on two separate occasions, snuck into the Miami Heat huddle, committed a flagrant foul on Norris Cole, blew air into James’ ear and was subsequently called out by Larry Bird.
Lance Stephenson is a wild card for the Indiana Pacers and late in Game 5, he tried to go undercover to gain an edge. Stephenson joined Erik Spoelstra, Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers in the Miami Heat huddle...

Point by Point Bosh, James spark Heat's 109-102 win over Lakers Chris Bosh and Lebron James combined for 58 points and 19 rebounds to lead defending champion Miami Heat in a 109-102 victory over the struggling Los Angeles Lakers last night (Jan. 23, 2014). Despite Dwyane Wade's absence due to knee problems, Miami guards Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole and Ray Allen scored in double figures to keep the driver's seat right from the opening period, 30-27. With starters Bosh and James finding their rhythm, the host team built an 11-point cushion at the end of the first half, 57-46, and kept that through the third quarter, 85-75. Lakers, led by Pau Gasul's double-double 22 points and 11 rebounds, outscored the Heat in the fourth, 24-27, but was not enough to overhaul Heat's 10-point padding. This time, Miami controlled the boards, outrebounding the visiting team 48-35 all throughout unlike in its previous games. James had a double-double 27 points and season-high 13 boards and six assists while Bosh scored 31 and ...

Norris Cole and the Miami Heat will face the Toronto Raptors at 6 pm.
Heat-Warriors preview As they are set to take on the hottest team in the NBA, the Miami Heat have their best player healthy. Unfortunately, they can't say the same about their supporting cast. Following a four-game western road trip, Lebron James and the Heat return home Thursday night but are unsure of Dwyane Wade's status as they face the red-hot Golden State Warriors. James missed a game on the trip before returning for Monday's 97-74 win at Denver, but Wade left because of back spasms and played only 18 minutes. "He's just sore," coach Eric Spoelstra said. "His back tightened up, he was in (the locker room) with the thought it would loosen up and he could get back out there, but he just didn't." Wade's status for the game against the Warriors is unknown. The same goes for reserve guard Norris Cole, who also left Monday's game after hitting his face on the floor at the end of a driving layup attempt. Plus, big man Chris Andersen could miss a fourth straight game due to a sore back. Even with those inju ...
James lead Heat in his return DENVER (AP) -- Lebron James returned from a groin injury on his birthday and wasted no time finding his shooting touch. James scored 26 points and the Miami Heat beat the skidding Denver Nuggets 97-94 Monday night despite losing Dwyane Wade and Norris Cole during the game. ''They left me open at the 3-point line. I took nine 3s and all of them felt good,'' said James, who converted five. ''The groin wasn't an issue at all.'' James, who turned 29 on Monday, injured his groin Friday during the Heat's overtime loss at Sacramento. He sat out the following game, a 108-107 win Saturday in Portland, before coming back to help send the Nuggets to their seventh consecutive loss. He certainly didn't mind going back to work on his birthday. ''No, it's not special,'' he said. ''It's special to go out there with my teammates, to be back in good form and be out there and help them win a ballgame on the road.'' Chris Bosh had 17 points and Ray Allen 13, including six in the final 5:08, as M ...

I wish to thank the 2013 NBA Champions the Miami Heat and the members of the Miami Heat, namely, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Chris Anderson, Shane Battier. Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole, Udonis Haslem, Juwan Howard, James Jones, Rashard Lewis, Mike Miller, Jaris Varnado and Coach Erik Spoelstra for a game well played. They are 2012 and 2013 NBA Champions. They are repeat NBA Champions. Dwayne Wade has 3 Championships. Lebron James is in an elite club now with such Champions as Bill Russell and Michael Jordan.
Miami Heat's Lebron James (C) holds the Bill Russell MVP Trophy as Dwyane Wade (L) holds the Larry O'Brien Trophy while Chris Bosh (2nd R) and Norris Cole celebrate after their team defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 to win their NBA Finals basketball playoff in Miami, Florida June 20, 2013.[Photo/Agencies] MIAMI - The Miami Heat repeated as National Basketball Association (NBA) champions on Thursday with a 95-88 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the decisive seventh game of an epic series. Miami's Lebron James, the sport's biggest star playing at the peak of his powers, had a game-high 37 points and pulled in 12 rebounds in a dominant performance while Dwyane Wade had 23 points. James, named most valuable player of the Finals, shot 12-of-23 from the floor, including 5-of-10 three-pointers to lead Miami to their third NBA title and his second just two nights after the Heat's championship defense almost ended abruptly. San Antonio, chasing a fifth NBA title, were just seconds away from clinching the ...
As funny as this sounds, the Spurs are the upstarts in this series and the Heat are rightfully the prohibitive favorites. Since the Spurs last championship season in 2007, they only have 4 players on their roster with Finals experience. Coach Pop will be a huge X-Factor but we will push out basically 6 or more Finals "rookies" against a Heat team that boast a roster minus Norris Cole and the Birdman that have been to finals the last 3 years and even Allen who has been a champ with the Celtics in multiple Finals appearances. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the media picks the national darling Miami Heat. San Antonio's front office and Pop have done a magnificent job (other than Jefferson signing) in building from within and keeping the Spurs in the title hunt conversation. Signing castoffs Green, Neal, Diaw to drafting Splitter, Joseph, Blair and draft day trading for Leonard over the last 6 years finally has them here. It's a process that could pay huge dividends if they don't play like Finals "rookies ...

With the additions of Ray Allen and Chris Andersen and emergence of Norris Cole, the Heat’s deep bench could be the difference in the conference finals.
Whatever Roy Hibbert did against the Knicks will not. I repeat will not work against the Heat. In fact from a match up stand point who is he going to guard? It's easy to guard Tyson Chandler or Kenyon Martin because they are offensively impotent. Chris Bosh roams outside of the 3 point line and shoots mid range jumpers so Hibbert will be forced outside of the paint unless the Pacers play a zone so that he can clog the middle. If they play zone Miami have shooters Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier, Mike Miller, Rashard Lewis (if he can get off the bench), Mario Chalmers and now Norris Cole. Pat Riley knew he had to get the shooters to create a Dynasty. Prediction: Look for the Miami Heat to pressure the ball in the front court and throw the trap into effect once the ball gets over half court because the Pacers don't have any true ball handlers and it's a weakness that the Heat will exploit. Look for Lebron James to surgically pick apart the Pacers defense with his passing ability and his basketball bril ...

James scores 32 more, Heat top Lakers 107-97 MIAMI (AP) – Lebron James ran a few steps behind the play, knowing exactly what was coming. The lob from Norris Cole arrived, and the NBA's reigning MVP rose for a catch and dunk. He made it look easy. He's making everything look easy right now. James scored 32 points on 12-for-18 shooting in a record-setting show, Dwyane Wade scored 30 and the Miami Heat beat the Los Angeles Lakers 107-97 on Sunday (Monday Manila time) for their fifth straight win. It was James' fifth straight game with at least 30 points, a franchise record. He also joined Adrian Dantley (1979) and Moses Malone (1982) as the only NBA players to score at least 30 and shoot at least 60 percent in five straight outings, the team said. ''Don't take it for granted,'' Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. ''He's making greatness look easy.'' Mario Chalmers scored 13 and Chris Bosh finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Heat. Kobe Bryant had 28 points and nine assists for the Lakers, who also g ...

Dwyane Wade scored a season-high 34 points, Lebron James added 21 points and theD Miami Heat rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat the Brooklyn Nets 102-89 on Saturday night. Ray Allen scored 13 and Norris Cole finished with 12 for the Heat, who won their sixth straight and remained atop the Eastern Conference. Miami held Brooklyn to 30 points in the second half. Andray Blatche scored 20 points for Brooklyn, which had won five in a row. The Nets lost to Miami for the 12th straight time. - Dan
Well the Miami Heat pulled their starters with about 5 minutes to go because the Memphis Grizzlies blew them out as Miami continues their struggles on the road this season. I thought this game might be a struggle but I thought that for a completely different reason. Memphis has a huge team while Miami likes to play small but that size differential wasn't even close to why the Heat lost this game. And yes, they "lost" it, the Grizz didn't "win" it. One of the reasons they lost was Dwyane Wade having his worst game of the season. He looked like he didn't even deserve to play in the NBA tonight. No, I'm not exaggerating, he was that bad on both ends of the floor. Another major reason was Ray Allen having his worst game as a member of the Heat. He played pathetic defensively, missed wide open shots, and made terrible decisions with the basketball. The last reason the Heat lost was their point guard play. Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole both played horribly. I will say that at least Cole played with some heart ...

I'm confuse about how ESPN rank Miami Heat in their power rankings over the LA Lakers. I understand they won last year but for this season 2012-13 going preseason the Lakers has the best team definitely better than the Heat. Just compare the team, starting 5 center Howard over Bosh, PF Pau over Battier(but best believe LBJ can't check Pau in the post), SF Lebron over Metta, SG is this really a debate black MAMBA over Wade, PG Nash over Chalmers. Lakers bench is better too. Jamison, J.Hill, Ebanks, Jodie Meeks & Blake. Heat have really Ray Allen & Norris Cole. Mike Miller can barely walk, Rashard Lewis when last this he was relevant, Joel Anthony trash, Haslem undersized PF. Like I said how are they rank

"What Lewis brings is a player who can come off the bench and score. More than likely, he'll take the position of James Jones. Rashard Lewis adds more depth to the already talented second unit in Miami. Just think about this. When LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Chalmers and whoever their center is come off the floor, Ray Allen, Udonis Haslem, Norris Cole, Shane Battier and now Rashard Lewis are ready to step in. That's a nine-man rotation that is already very dangerous. After winning the NBA championship in 2012, the Miami Heat have become even better."
Just read that Norris Cole, of the Miami Heat, is a brother in Christ. Good stuff. My prayers go out to him and Brandon Roy.
BTW.I’d like to congratulate the Miami Heat on taking home the ultimate prize in the sport of basketball, the NBA Championship. After watching their performance these past two weeks, there’s no doubt the better team came out the victor. The Heat played their best ball of the year in these playoffs, really coming on at the end. They seemed to click together at just the right time, getting contributions from their role players at just the right time. Mario Chalmers stepped up big in the last game, and Norris Cole hit a few timely buckets. Most impressive, though, was that wily veteran Shane Battier. He was remarkable; hitting 3’s with accuracy we’ve never seen from him. Along with that harassing defense and those hustle plays, his contributions were invaluable on this playoff run. Now, Lebron James – he’s worth of every superlative we could use. The man played an all-around game throughout these playoffs at one of the highest levels I’ve ever seen. Of course, he’ll keep being critiqued – a ...
