Big possibility that Greg Oden might sign with the Miami Heat in the off season!!
An expansion team formed in 1988, the Miami Heat began its early years with much mediocrity, only making the playoffs twice in its first eight years and falling in the first round both times. Upon the purchasing of the franchise by Micky Arison in 1995, Pat Riley was brought in as its team president and head coach. Riley acquired center Alonzo Mourning and point guard Tim Hardaway to serve as the centerpiece for the team, transforming Miami into a championship contender throughout the late 1990s. The Heat underwent a dramatic turnaround in the 1996-1997 season, improving to a 61-21 record, second best in team history and formerly a franchise record. That same year, Miami earned the moniker of "Road Warriors" for their remarkable 32-9 record on the road. On the backs of Hardaway and Mourning, the Heat achieved their first two victories in the playoffs, making it to the Conference Finals against the Chicago Bulls before bowing out in five games. Their biggest rivals of the time were the New York Knicks, Ril ...
The only time I came even close to liking the Miami Heat was when they had my QUEENS homies Lamar Odom and Rafer Alston...REAL Heat fans or sports fans remember when that was!!!
Wow...so many HATERS of Miami Heat; whether they win or lose, folk jus shutup and get over yourselves, PLEASE!!! And no, I am NOT a bandwagon person.. *** I liked Miami when Pat Riley had Erik Spoelstra as an Assistant Coach and there were people like Alonzo Mourning, Eddie House, Travis Best, Brian Grant...jus to name a few! Then Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem came in together; *** Lamar Odom played with em before and of course we all know when it was Shaq and Wade!!! Come on people, am I on the bandwagon? I THINK NOT!!! Im my own person, will never do what others do! And too, Lebron is my man, but I liked Dwade 1st and he will always be first in my book even tho King James is the best in the league currently...cant let him take my fav spot tho...lol!!! OAN: Bouta go in work...holla at yall in the PM!!!
Can the Miami Heat put that disastrous game the other night behind them and even up the series against the San Antonio Spurs tonight? Do you think Lebron James will step up and play like an MVP? What else needs to happen for the Heat to stay alive? (They're down 2-1)..or do you think it's over for Miami? Is anything short of an NBA title considered a bad year for the Heat?
seriously Miami Heat fans? we know miami gave their all in game 2. why? because if they'll loose that game it will be a sweep and you all miami fans will cry and knows the series is already OVER! so, i hope miami and lebron still have the energy left for game 3. who still have the home court advantage!? that's right! San Antonio Spurs does =) Romano Rabino Kidd Andro Acer Aris Kem Amid
Pau Gasol will be playing tonight against Miami Heat but Earl Clark is still in the starting line-up .

In the following 2003/04 NBA season, the Lakers were able to acquire NBA All Stars Karl Malone, and Gary Payton to make another push at the NBA Championship. Before the season began, Bryant was arrested for sexual assault. This caused Bryant to miss some games due to court appearances or attend court earlier in the day and travel to play games later in same day. However, with a starting lineup of four future Hall of Famers, O'Neal, Malone, Payton, and Bryant, the Lakers were able to reach the NBA Finals. In the Finals, they were eliminated by the Detroit Pistons in 5 games. In that series, Bryant averaged 22.6 points per game and 4.4 assists. He shot a mere 35.1% from the field.Phil Jackson's contract as coach was not renewed, and Rudy Tomjanovich took over.Shaquille O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, and Brian Grant. The following day, Bryant declined an offer to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers and re-signed with the Lakers on a seven-year contract.
Jeremy Lin to Houston Rockets, Lamar Odom to LA Clippers, Ray Allen to Miami Heat, Dwight Howard to LA Lakers
I gravely miss the old Lamar Odom. Back in 99, being drafted by the Clippers. He came into the game timid and apprehensive, but towards his second and third season, his point averages and rebounds then began to spark. Soon enough by his fourth year, avaraged 9-13 points a game, along with I think it was 12 rebounds a game. Then got traded to the Lakers for a couple years, and then to the Miami Heat (ew, disgusting), the year before they won the Championship. Then he got traded back to the Lakers for many consecutive years, and had many great stats. 14.2 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 2.8bpg in 2005; 2006 about the same, 2007 and 2008 approx. 14.6 ppg and 12.4 rebounds. Then in 2009 and 2010=played an enormous role as being the best sixth man off the bench in the entire league, only to help L.A. win two consecutive NBA Championships behind Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Fisher, and Trevor Ariza. Odom also was at this time, reliable in crunch time down on the post and on fast breaks in 4th quarter, behind Kobe. But in 2011, Od ...
If you noticed about the Miami Heat, they always received the best Free Agents threw out the years! Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, Eddie Jones, Brian Grant, Shaquille O'neal, Penny Hardaway, Antonio Walker, Gary Payton, Jason Williams,Lamar Odom, Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Rashad Lewis, and many more...u just have to admit it, people just love the South Beach!!!
Player movements in the NBA: Ray Allen to Miami Heat, Jason Kidd to New York Knicks Joe Johnson to Brooklyn Nets, Steve Nash to Los Angeles Lakers, Jeremy Lin to Houston Rockets, Jason Terry to Boston Celtics, Brandon Roy to Minnesota Timberwolves and Lamar Odom to the Los Angeles Clippers..

It's been five days since I've decided to pledge abstinence from ESPN. I will not let talks of the Miami Heat's illegitimate title defile my eyes or ears. ESPN will not be watched until the start of the next NBA season OR until 5 news sources (not including ESPN) confirm that; 1.) Skip Bayless has been assassinated or 2.) that Dwight Howard, Deron Williams, and Lamar Odom has officially signed with the Lakers!.That is all!
Please don't bring Lamar Odom back to Miami Heat! He doesn't value basketball anymore.
Lamar Odom's stay with the Dallas Mav is over. He's not available to be traded for the rest of the season but I see an L.A team picking him up.. MAYBE Miami Heat.. I do think its bull that his personal life peaks out on the court. Use basketball as your escape and put out 100%..
What a waste for the Dallas Mavericks to release Lamar Odom. I think Lamar Odom should go back to the Miami Heat.
If I was the Miami Heat. Next season I would look to pick up Lamar Odom and Greg Oden. Lamar would do his thing in Miami being a 6th man. The only place he'd probally love to play besides LA. Oden if he can stay healthy, be on the floor and give you anything that would be a win win for the organization. What do you think?
On July 14, 2004, O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat for Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, Brian Grant and a future first-round draft choice
tune in onto TNT and watch Shane Battier and the Miami Heat take on Lamar Odom and the Dallas Mavericks
