Alright, so here it is… 14 years ago, sometime during the fall of 2000, I became a huge Dwyane Wade fan. During the fall Marquette basketball banquet I saw Dwyane Wade (who would be ineligible for his Freshman year at MU) practice. We ain’t talking about a game, I’m talking about a practice. After this practice, I thought to myself “I think this guy is going to be good.” So I chose to make my AOL Instant Messenger name “DwyaneWade” (spelled correctly “Dwy”…). So yes, for an entire year my AIM name was named after a player that sat on Marquette’s bench in a suit. On June 26th, 2003 I became a Miami Heat fan. As a diehard Marquette basketball fan, I became an NBA fan to follow the greatest player to ever play college basketball in the state of Wisconsin, Dwyane Wade. I have long told people that if D-Wade played for the Charlotte Bobcats, that I would be all about the Bobcats, or if the Grizzlies go back to Vancouver and sign Wade, I’d be ready to cheer them on. If Dwyane plays bask ...

While I know that they have only a slim chance, I'm still pulling for the Charlotte Bobcats to pull one over the Miami Heat, beginning tomorrow night. This (on a Saturday, I know) is from when Danny Cooper and I went to the last game held in the Charlotte Coliseum. The seats are the seats our grandparents had as season ticket holders, which we took over, and then I physically removed from the Coliseum and hope to put in my office someday soon.

Sport: Basketball Market: Phoenix Suns @ Orlando Magic Pick: Magic -1 ½ points Odds: $1.92 Agency: Sportsbet Wager: 3 Units Game Time: 10:00am AEDT Analysis: The Phoenix Suns (6-6) is coming off a 98-91 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on the road. Channing Frye had 22 points while P.J Tucker added 17 points in the win. The Suns shot 47 percent from the floor and has been a nice surprise at .500 to start this season. The Orlando Magic (4-8) lost a 99-101 game to the powerhouse Miami Heat last night. Aaron Afflalo had18 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. The Magic have to be happy to see anyone besides the Heat in this game and should be very competitive at home versus the Suns. Orlando is 2-0 SU and ATS versus the Suns the past few seasons and should have a lot of confidence in a winnable game for the Magic. In fact, The Suns have lost seven of the past eight meetings, including five in a row while getting held to 90.8 points per game. NBA Tips and Analysis for Today's remaining games: Orlando 1-10 - $2.50 - TAB The Magic host the Phoenix Suns today. After only losing by 2 points yesterday to the Miami Heat in Miami, they will be looking for a victory today as they've lost 3 straight. With Glen Davis playing his first game yesterday and Aaron Afflalo averaging just over 22 points a game, and with Nikola Vucevic also averaging just under 15 points a game, the Magic have the pieces to win. The Suns won last start against the Charlotte Bobcats but without Eric Bledsoe, their leading scorer who is injured with a leg injury, the Suns offence in recent games have struggled to get going offensively. With this in mind, we like the Magic winning by a close margin today Los Angeles Lakers - 4.5 - TAB - $1.90 The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to return to an equal record after entering a losing season which currently stands at 6-7. Yet there is still hope for the Los Angeles Lakers as they rallied back against Golden State on Friday on the back o ...

We have a total of nine games tonight guys and only one will be nationally televised. NBA TV apparently thinks the game between the Suns and the Blazers is the most interesting game tonight, gotta say I couldn't disagree more. I would rather see the Bulls at Hawks game or the Lakers at Warriors game but that's just me. Anyways, here are the game schedules for tonight: Detroit Pistons at Washington Wizards at 7:00 ET Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks at 7:00 ET Utah Jazz at Miami Heat at 7:30 ET Indiana Pacers at New Orleans Hornets at 8:00 ET Memphis Grizzlies at Houston Rockets at 8:00 ET Cleveland Cavs at Milwaukee Bucks at 8:30 ET Charlotte Bobcats at Denver Nuggets at 9:00 ET Phoenix Suns at Portland Trail Blazers at 10:30 ET (NBA TV) LA Lakers at Golden State Warriors at 10:30 ET
Here are your weekly power rankings! **check back every monday for updated rankings** 1. Oklahoma City Thunder. Underrated factor for Oklahoma City—they’re second in the league in free-throw attempts, and easily tops in the league in free-throw shooting percentage. 2. New York Knicks. Seeing Jeremy Lin is nice and all but, given their record, they’re plenty happy with the trio of Raymond Felton, Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni. 3. Los Angeles Clippers. It will be interesting to see what the Clippers do when injured small forward Grant Hill returns. Matt Barnes has played too well to lose his spot in the rotation. 4. San Antonio Spurs. Very quietly, 36-year-old Tim Duncan is having his best season since ’09-’10 and is averaging better than 2.0 blocks for the first time in five years. 5. Miami Heat. Remember when Mario Chalmers proclaimed himself a Top 10 point guard? He is averaging 6.5 points on 39.7 percent shooting this year. 6. Memphis Grizzlies. They played five of their first seven games in D ...

We got some more news circulating around the league. One of the topics is pretty controversial involving the San Antonio Spurs. Also, some good news for Timberwolves fans and some news for the New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors. - San Antonio Spurs fined $250,000 for resting four of their starters in the game against the Miami Heat. Commissioner Stern stated Spurs' actions were in violation of the league's policy because San Antonio rested four of their players during the only regular season visit to Miami, also the team did so without informing the Heat, the media, or the league office in a timely way. - Ricky Rubio is ready to test his knee at Timberwolves practices. - Toronto Raptors signed free-agent Mickael Pietrus and waived forward Dominic McGuire. - New York Knicks guard Jason Kidd is out at least until next week's 3-game road trip, which begins Wednesday against the Charlotte Bobcats. - Amar'e Stoudemire has began running on the court and doing some stretches during Thursday's shootaround. I want the NBA season to end rite now, cause, this is the playoffs matchup will look like after 10-13 games of the regular season, in the Eastern Conference, seed Miami Heat-seed Charlotte Bobcats, seed Brooklyn Nets-seed Boston Celtics, seed New York Knicks-seed Philadelphia 76ers, and finally the seed Milwaukee Bucks-seed Atlanta Hawks, thats the Eastern Conference playoff picture as of right now. For the Western Conference playoff picture its seed Memphis Grizzlies-seed Los Angles Lakers, seed San Antonio Spurs-seed Utah Jazz, seed Oklahoma City Thunder-seed Denver Nuggets and finally the seed Golden State Warriors-Los Angles Clippers, thats how the NBA playoffs should look like at season end in April, and I hope I'm right as of right now
If i was to pick a nba team based on states i have been to it would be among Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Bobcats, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Been to New York the most mainly Brooklyn so i would naturally become a Brooklyn Nets fan. Why am I a Kobe Laker fan? Was a Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls fan, MJ retired then everybody compared Kobe to MJ so i became a Kobe Laker fan. So that justifies everything. Still want to visit Los Angeles one day.

I just woke up from the strangest dream. I woke up, looked out my window to find snipers on all the roofs and 2 suited men on my porch. I walked into the living room and there sat Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Immediately I said "Romney, Obama, what's up guys?" I also said "Scoot over, lets chat." I don't remember the entire conversation, but I do remember it was peaceful. I do remember one thing I said to Obama. I said "So Mr. President" he said "Yes Tyler?" "Remember a few months back when you said your team was like the Miami Heat?" Barack sas "Yes I do." And I said "We'll I think you're more like the Charlotte Bobcats."

Michael Jordan Thinks the Miami Heat Will Win the NBA Championship The owner of the Charlotte Bobcats was in Miami Beach for Game 2 of the NBA Finals, and according to Gossip Extra, His Airness predicted that the Heat would go on to capture the title: “When ABC aired an old Jordan commercial during a timeout, the patrons of Lincoln Road restaurant broke into a ‘Jordan! I used to believe in the NBA, I thought it was a decent sport to watch, but after watching the NBA lottery draft and the pick bypass the Charlotte Bobcats, the worst team in the league and the draft was given to the New Orleans Hornet, a team was originally owned by the NBA. I watched the playoffs last night and realized the league wants Miami Heat to win. The referees, see no evil, speak no evil and call no evil. I am still rooting for OKC.
