Breaking News from KCRG: Evansdale police have announced that two bodies were found by hunters today. The images of the two girls' smiling faces became a familiar, unsettling sight across Iowa on billboards, posters, bumper stickers, and even Halloween candy in the months after they went missing the afternoon of July 13, a Friday. Can anyone tell me if the FBI agents were in the elmer, trail or meyers lake area yesterday afternoon? My son was playing fball with friends and two men in a black grand prix were getting out and walking around he asked them what they were doing one guy said they were the FBI didnt show any ID. In light of the two attempted abductions i think my son would have felt a little better if they showed some ID. I mean no disrespect whatsoever to the two men.

Vigil planned on 2-month anniversary of missing girls A prayer vigil on the two-month anniversary of the disappearance of cousins Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at Meyers Lake. Lyric, 10, and Elizabeth, 9, disappeared on a bike ride that afternoon. Their bicycles and Elizabeth’s cellphone were found on a recreational trail near Meyers Lake. After an extensive search around the lake, authorities declared the incident an abduction. The case has attracted national attention.
