I have put in an FOI to the Metropolitan Police asking how many police-person hours were used during the pro-democracy protests in Tarpaulin Square. I have also put in an FOI to Boris JOhnson asking how much he spent on the operation using extra security guards and railings. Metropolitan Police Commissioner acknowledges a 15.5% increase in Domestic Violence cases. Violence with injury has jumped by 5.1% in recent months, partly fuelled by a rise in reports of Domestic Violence, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner has said. Speaking to a panel including mayor Boris Johnson at City Hall in London, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe said the 5.1% rise was seen in the final quarter of last year compared with the previous three months. He said he believes this was mainly driven by a 15.5% increase in Domestic Violence. Sir Bernard said: "It may be down to increased reporting rather than down to more Domestic Violence. Some of these increases have been in boroughs which have made the most increases to third-party reporting (where someone other than the victim reports the crime). "We are not going to say it's something we are not concerned about, but it's too early to say it's a trend." Fox attacked baby in home - police Boris Johnson has called for more to be done to tackle urban foxes - a typical one can be seen here A four-week-old baby boy was attacked by a fox in his home in Bromley, the Metropolitan Police have said. The boy was treated for a hand injury and taken to St Thomas' Hospital after the attack on 6 February, London Ambulance Service said. London Mayor Boris Johnson said: "This sort of attack, though terrible, is rare, but we must do more to tackle the growing problem of urban foxes."
