I think one of my biggest fears besides Farms, empty vast area's and a few others, is the death of the entire Human race. Our race is by far the last thing I have any hope for. We are so young and we are so curios, but one simple mistake and "Poof" the Human race is dead. We are literally 40-50 years away from achieving at least some form of Transhumanism. Humanity is more united now than it ever has been in its entire existence. People always take the bad and they exploit it. They show it everywhere making it seem as if we are evil, we are cruel and we are the worst thing in existence, but they refuse to look at the beauty we have done. The things we have invented to benefit us and the entire planet. In a few hundred thousand years, we have came from fighting one another with stones for water and food to spreading forth and even touching our celestial neighbor with our own foot steps. We are just now setting stage for a colony on Mars, and almost all of us will be able to go there. We are so close to so ...

It takes many measurements, oodles of analysis, re-testing and re-analysis before any groundbreaking announcement can be made. So, on the surface of Mars, inside Gale Crater on a plain called Aeolis Palus, our tenacious six-wheeled Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is doing cutting-edge laboratory work on an alien world and mission scientists are itching to announce a "historic" discovery. Most religions use tools in their practices. Wicca is no different. Through our touch and intention, energy may be directed through these tools to invoke the Deities or accomplish our goals. Tools are not absolutely necessary. The tools themselves have no power. The power comes from within you. You need to change your mind set when doing ritual and magickal work. These tools help to do that. You may buy tools at an occult shop, but it is more fun to search antique shops, flea markets, and junk shops. It may take time, but you will eventually find what you need. Or you may make most of your tools. Athame : (ATH-a-may) The athame has an ancient history. It is a knife, dull (usually for saftey sake- it IS a knife after all) and double-edged, often with a black or dark coloured handle. It isn't used for cutting purposes, but to direct the energy raised during rites and spells. It is seldom used to invoke or call upon the Deities for it is an instrument of commanding and power manipulation. We'd rather ...

Clara Ma, a sixth-grader from Lenexa, Kans., submitted the winning essay in early 2009 in a national contest to name the rover of NASA's Mars Science Laboratory mission. In May 2009, NASA gave the rover the name that Ma proposed, Curiosity. As a contest prize Ma won the opportunity to sign the rover while it was being assembled and tested at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory for a 2011 launch. The part she signed, shown here, is the belly pan of the main body of the rover. Between writing "Clara Ma" and writing "curiosity," she wrote her Chinese name, the character for Ma (horse) followed by two characters meaning Jade from Heaven.

Fan Question, I need some advice...post anonymously please. I've been married 2 and a half years. I'm so lost and confused. Everyday that goes by I feel my marriage is falling apart more. My husband is a college student about to graduate and he is also working. he likes to spend his free time playing video games, with friends or on his phone. I'm so fed up. I've tried to be patient but I'm not sure he's going to change anytime soon. I feel like his last priority. I don't know what to do. I've thought about leaving but I don't want to regret anything later on. I don't want to make the wrong choice just because I couldn't be patient. Am I wrong for wanting to leave? I've told him plenty of times if we don't do anything to try to save our marriage it's not gonna last but it just seems to go in one ear and out the other. I'm so tired and fed up of dealing with these emotions everyday. ..

The rover will conduct a nearly two-year prime mission to investigate whether the Gale Crater region of Mars ever offered conditions favorable for microbial life.

jolly currents run through this special day, under a nearly full Gemini Moon. The natural enchantments of Christmas -- what puts a sparkle in our eyes -- is awakened with a conjunction to enlivening Jupiter. If you've got clear skies, look up at the big Moon, with Jupiter next to it appearing as a bright star. The buzzy vibe intensifies with Mars making a holiday move into jolting Aquarius. Some erratic energies are afoot, so be mindful of your steps. While Mars is here, unconventional or spontaneous moves create momentum, in areas where the same old patterns fall short. You're ready for something different. The electric vibe is off-the-charts into mid-week, as the Sun squares Aquarius' ruler Uranus late Christmas night. There could be surprise weather events, and we're expecting rare Christmas tornadoes later today across the South. Being cautious with fire is a good idea, and taking your time, if you're walking on ice, for example, to avoid accidents. Looking at the flash-inspiration another way, this c ...

Who would win in a fight, the Ikea monkey or the Mars Curiosity rover?
Hydrazine(N2H4) was first used as a rocket fuel during World War II for the Messerschmitt Me 163B (the first rocket-powered fighter plane), under the code name B-Stoff (hydrazine hydrate). When mixed with methanol (M-Stoff) and water it was called C-Stoff. Hydrazine is also used as a low-power monopropellant for the maneuvering thrusters of spacecraft, and the Space Shuttle's auxiliary power units (APUs). In addition, monopropellant hydrazine-fueled rocket engines are often used in terminal descent of spacecraft. Such engines were used on the Viking program landers in the 1970s as well as the Phoenix lander and Curiosity rover which landed on Mars in May 2008 and August 2012, respectively. In all hydrazine monopropellant engines, the hydrazine is passed by a catalyst such as iridium metal supported by high-surface-area alumina (aluminium oxide) or carbon nanofibers, or more recently molybdenum nitride on alumina, which causes it to decompose into ammonia, nitrogen gas, and hydrogen gas according t ...

NASA's Mars Science Laboratory ratchets up the quest to the next ingredient in the recipe for life -- organic carbon.
In this interview, Darby Dyer explains how Curiosity rover’s ChemCam instrument will probe the rocks of Mars to learn about the planet from the inside out.
A friend of mine recently pointed out that it would be worth taking an entire day off work to look at the photos of Mars taken by Curiosity Rover. Reality came crashing down (as it always does) ; we live in an age where we have access to photos of another planet, I'll reiterate that, another planet. While most of us are aware of the NASA mission and have even seen a snap on the news, it still hasn't occurred to us to have a good (GOOD) look at them. What's more fascinating than the actual photos is the pandemic apathy towards them, surely indicative of the so called age of information. (Too much info, dont truly learn much e.t.c.) Times I've seen... •HD pictures of Mars - 0 •Pointless adverts - countless. I love and hate the 21st century in equal measures. For awesome, life-affirming photos head towards to NASA site. Don't delay.

NASA not only has the 'Curiosity' Mars rover going, it has the 'Opportunity' Mars rover, launched 9 years ago still going strong. It has now trundled to the edge of the Endeavour Crater checking soil samples it is going over. It has found clay now, different from the type it has encountered before. That has been clay from acidic water, this new clay is from neutral water. Scientists are still working out the significance of this new type and its meaning (if any) for Life.
