Dortmund want Gundogan, who netted in the 2013 Champions League final at Wembley, to commit his future to the club or face being sold – a move which has alerted potential suitors across Europe.

Arsene Wenger has once again praised the impact of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez after the in-form forward helped the Gunners progress to the last-16 of the Champions League. Sanchez has won rave reviews since his £30million summer arrival from Barcelona, and he netted his 13th goal of the season as the North London outfit beat Group D leaders Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to book their place in the next round. French youngster Yaya Sanogo opened the scoring with his first Arsenal goal, but it was his strike partner who provided the cutting edge for the Gunners. And, asked what the Chilean brought to the team, Wenger said: "Unbelievable fighting spirit and his class as well. “He's a mixture of talent and desire." It was an assured performance from Arsenal, who refused to let their lead slip following the disappointment of the weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, something which pleased Wenger. “We had the focus to defend well together,” the French boss added. Arsenal 2-0 Dortmund Yaya Sanogo 2' Alexis Sanchez 57' Arsenal came back from a disappointing loss to Manchester United with a morale boosting win over Borussia Dortmund, securing qualification to the next round of the Champions League for the 15th time and an outside chance of getting first in the group. After Welbeck missed through injury and Giroud not being registered, Sanogo was thrown to the fray, but with expectations low, the young striker slipped a ball through the legs of Weindefeller after a clever backheel to Cazorla. Arsenal continued to assert themselves in the match and got rewarded when Sanchez shot home in the 57th minute, capping a fine win and hopefully the start of a fine streak of performances. Notable Mentions Santi Cazorla, who put in a fine display with 2 assists in a rare start as No.10 Yaya Sanogo, who got his first career goal Nacho Monreal, who looked more comfortable than usual in an unfamiliar role Damian Martinéz, who made a string of fine saves and managed a clean sheet

The Scot brought the Japan international to Manchester United in 2012, and believes the record signing from Chelsea was the decisive moment of his time in England Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says Shinji Kagawa "gave up hope a bit" after Juan Mata signed for the club in January. Ferguson brought Kagawa to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in 2012, but the playmaker moved back to Germany in August after two difficult seasons in England. David Moyes, like his predecessor Ferguson, often used Kagawa on the left of midfield rather than in his preferred central role, and made Mata, also a No.10, the club's then record signing at £37 million. Louis Van Gaal, who later replaced Moyes as manager, made the decision to let Kagawa go shortly after taking the reigns in Manchester, but Ferguson believes the decisive moment was the signing of Mata. "Every manager has his own philosophy. When Moyes signed the Spanish superstar Mata, Kagawa felt that he no longer was the first choice, and gave up ...

ROBBEN : THERE IS NO CHANCE I WILL LEAVE BAYERN Arjen Robben has waxed lyrical about life at Bayern Munich and insists he is not considering a move away from the Bavarian giants. The Netherlands international moved to Bayern from Real Madrid in 2009 and has enjoyed a trophy-laden stint in Germany. Robben has picked up three Bundesliga titles, as well as winning the UEFA Champions League in 2013, scoring the all- important goal in the 2-1 final victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley. There was talk in the close-season that Robben would move to Manchester United to be reunited with Louis Van Gaal - who he worked under at Bayern and with the national team - but the 30-year-old's glowing description of life in Munich means any such move in the future seems unlikely. Shinji Kagawa seals return to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United - Read It Here!
Cristiano Ronaldo has outscored plenty of big teams in Europe in terms of league goals so far. Including Arsenal, Liverpool FC, Manchester United, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur.
Olas 1: Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo ALONE better than Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United in key area.Do you agree? Will Cristiano Ronaldo destroy Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday? Manchester United may have the likes of Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Angel Di Maria, but they are no match for Ronaldo when it comes to scoring goals. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are two of the most attacking teams in Europe, but they too fall short of Ronaldo’s record. Liverpool, who will take on Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League Group B on Wednesday, have scored two fewer goals than Ronaldo alone and should be extra careful against the former United star.

The Reds, Arsenal and Manchester United are apparently among a host of European clubs monitoring the 25-year-old's situation. Dortmund are desperate to secure Reus to a new contract, due to a £28m buyout clause, inserted into his current deal, which becomes active next summer. Alex Ferguson reveals why Shinji Kagawa left Manchester United "MOYES" Sir Alex Ferguson believes his successor, David Moyes, caused Japan international Shinji Kagawa to leave Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Speaking to German newspaper Bild, the United legend said that Moyes’ decision to spend a club-record fee on Spanish playmaker Juan Mata in January effectively signalled the end of Kagawa’s brief spell at Old Trafford. "Shinji is back in the environment in which he feels right. And he has with [Jurgen] Klopp a coach who gives him the necessary self-confidence,” Ferguson commented. "I was very pleased with Shinji. He had settled in well with me, and I also had the feeling that he felt comfortable with us. " "Every coach has his own philosophy. As Moyes preferred the Spanish superstar Mata, Kagawa has felt that he is no longer first choice and was a bit resigned."
Our rivals Borussia Dortmund has nonetheless become a German version of Manchester United.

Action could be taken against Swiss champions Basel after they were charged with 'throwing missiles' following the emergence of an object on the pitch, which appeared to have been hurled by a Basel fan during their 1-0 win over Liverpool. FIFA 15 will be released throughout the world over the course of this week, once again limiting the social lives of millions to expletive-laced tirades aimed at friends and strangers alike. Of course, those initial moments playing the new edition of FIFA are always special for every gamer and many will already know what they'll do first before they even buy the game. This largely depends on which club the gamer supports. The following is a sampling of likely first actions in FIFA 15 for various fanbases. Barcelona — Start Luis Suarez and laugh defiantly at FIFA's inability to enforce their real-life punishments in their own video game. Chelsea — Remove Frank Lampard from Man City's roster and then cry because you know it's already too late. Manchester United — Put Cristiano Ronaldo back on the team and then satisfy the overwhelming urge to pleasure yourself before even playing a match (against MK Dons on the easiest difficulty setting). Borussia Dortmund — Attempt to delete Bayern Munich from the ...

Report: Shinji Kagawa returns to Borussia Dortmund on permanent transfer German outfit Bild is reporting Manchester United have sold Shinji Kagawa back to Borussia Dortmund after two miserable seasons on the sidelines at Old Trafford. Fellow German paper Kicker is corroborating that story. According to Bild, Kagawa has signed for his former club Dortmund for $10.5 million on a four-year contract. It would be a great bit of business for Dortmund, who sold their playmaker to United for nearly triple that value just two summers ago. The report says Kagawa has postponed his medical with a few financial details still to iron out in his deal, but that the medical should be completed “quickly.” The report says the deal will be completed by tomorrow. Kagawa was a creative force at Westfalenstadion before his move to Manchester United, but he spent his two seasons at Old Trafford largely on the bench, if that. He made just 38 Premier League appearances for United as Sir Alex Ferguson, David Moyes, and Louis v ...

It’s looking increasingly likely that Japanese star Shinji Kagawa will leave Manchester United to return to Borussia Dortmund before the transfer window closes on August 31st. German paper Der Westen are reporting on Friday that, whilst United and BVB are yet to finalise terms, Kagawa has agreed to make the move back to the Westfalenstadion. Der Westen add that the “evidence is mouthing” that the Kagawa deal will happen, and that “Dortmund and the Japanese star are already agreed” on the deal. Looking further afield, reports are swirling that Dortmund will re-sign Kagawa, whom they sold to United for €17 million, for just over €10 million plus a possible €2.5 million in add-ons. That would seem like a brilliant bit of business for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit. Other tidbits relayed by Der Westen include the fact that BVB’s Kevin Grosskreutz called up Kagawa this week to convince his old teammate to return to the Bundesliga club.

The Daily Mirror carries the news from an unnamed source, which suggests that the German international has travelled to North London for talks with Gunners' officials. Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona have also been linked with the 25-year-old, but speculation is rife that Arsene Wenger is preparing to make his move. The Catalans are particularly desperate for reinforcements, as they will not be permitted to sign players in the next two transfer windows. Earlier this week, the Metro claimed that Arsenal are prepared to use the money from the sale of Lukas Podolski to help fund a move for another marquee signing. Reus would certainly be that, having scored 23 goals in 44 appearances last season.
