The new Spider-man movie is the best Spider-man movie. Now Spiderman 2 is still a better "superhero" movie, but this the best Spidey film. And that is even with repurposing one of the Koopa extras from the awful Super Mario Brothers movie as the baddie. Martin Sheen's Ben Parker is my favorote adapted side character in all superhero movies ever. Better than Jackie Cooper's Chief.

Watching "Spider-Man 3" just to remind myself what a Spider-Man movie should look like.
Spider-man movie is awesome. Needs to be seen in IMAX 3-D if at all possible, but Marvel REALLY needs to give a big slice of royalty thank-you's to Ditko and Romita Sr, without whom this movie would definately not exist. THIS should have been Raimi's first film, and hooray to the folks who went back to the ORIGINAL source material for this one. I hardly read these comics anymore because they are not the same characters as I remember them, this one IS almost EXACTLY in the flavor of the old books. BRAVO.
So...I have to admit that the Amazing Spider-man movie wasn't too bad. I like the approach they made to the story and hope they continue with building the characters...at least until certain characters are killed off as in the comic books.
Just saw the amazing spider man and was suprised, I really enjoyed that movie. Garfield in my oppion is a better Peter Paker than Toby. I can safley say it was the second best spider man movie behind 2.

One might think there was no point in doing a new Spider-Man movie so soon, starting over at the beginning of the story and all, but WOW.saw it today and it really, really delivers - on the charm, humor, drama, even the 3D was used to really good effect. Loved it.

Amazing Spiderman..just got back..What is Enna Stones appeal again? Except for her bug eyes and overbite, shes not too ugly. At least she has her eyes open, unlike Kirsten Dunst. The guy playing Spiderman was the only person in the High School who didn't look like they had flunked about 10 years. It was ok, but the part I liked best was the nicely done hand to hand fight scenes. I'd give it a rousing 2 1/2 stars. Nothing wrong with it, just seemed like the first spider-man movie redone..like the first spider man movie redone.

I could see the new Spider Man movie as many times as i wanted, Andrew Garfield did a good job of getting in to the role of Peter Parker/ Spider Man bringing snazzy one liners and lots of funnies. I enjoyed the movie Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) was cute and fight her part as well the lizard had a pedo smile the whole Movie which was ackward and i had my nerdy momments like when Peter made his web shooters ( Oscorp had already made 'web fluid' due to geniticly altered spiders so peter just had to get some from the labsto make his own little dissapointment) best line the promises you can't keep are the best cough cough.
I'm sure the new spider man movie is good and I will see it simply because I love Emma Stone but Tobey Maguire will always be Spider Man for me

The new Spider-Man movie was OK. I fail to see why it needed to be a "reboot". It would have been stronger to just begin with PP established as SM, the origin stuff was boring and not as good as the Raimi version. Overall, it was decent, but it lacked a certain energy. There weren't any moments to clap and cheer at (like "The Avengers" when Hulk repeatedly slams Loki). The performances saved it. Worth seeing theatrically, but curb your expectations.

Well, we survived Daniel's 11th birthday party. We are blessed with a wonderful little boy ( he isnt much little anymore) All the boys went home today, but I have to say, they were all very good. The new Spider man movie was great. A tradition we do every year with Daniel on his birthday.

Judy and I just got back from seeing The Amazing Spider-man. The most amazing thing about it is that they fired Sam Raimi so that they could make this. Admittedly, if I'd never seen another Spider-man movie, I probably would have liked this one a lot more. Overall, I found the whole thing to be kind of flat and underdeveloped. As with the first X-Men movie, and the two FF films, I felt like I was watching a really expensive TV movie.

Spent this 4th of july with a headache that felt like superman pounding my head against the wall. So I slept through most of it, but at least tomorrow I'll get to see if this spider man movie is as good as they say.
just got back from Amazing Spider-Man, and it was pretty good, though it did do a couple of odd things. For a movie that's touted as the "untold story" of Peter Parker's family, it sure leaves a lot for the inevitable sequel. Garfield and Stone were good in their roles, but the tone seemed a little off for a Spider-Man movie, it seemed a bit angsty at points and some things don't come together as well as they should. Overall, pretty good movie, however there's room for improvement though. Grade: B

Just got back from seeing the new Spider-Man movie. Not bad at all, not sure why they had to take so long on telling the origin again, but the chemistry between Stone and Garfield was Amazing! I'd say about an 8 out of 10 overall. Definitely check it out.
