A few matches appeal tomorrow in the Premiership. Chelsea should continue their winning ways at Newcastle, and 1.55 with Tonybet appeals. I like the 2.1 that Paddy Power is offering on their West London neighbours, QPR, who are much better at home. I think they will stop Burnley's little run. Hull v West Brom looks like a good draw at 3.3 with Marathon Bet. Both teams are scrapping for the odd point. Take Liverpool against Sunderland to make it three wins in a row at 1.53 also with Paddy Power. Finally 1.53 is the best price on Man City to beat Everton at the Etihad. If Chelsea could score six against the Toffees, I expect Aguero and co to get stuck in as well. Two points on that one, and two points on Chelsea at St James' Park.
congrats on your win over West Brom.all the best for next match against Man City.

Yer ol' perfesser knows nobody is wound up by the Premier League the way I am but still, from the Tales of the Trivial, here's the results, so far, with one match left to be played tocay and two tomorrow: Arsenal went to West Brom and left with a 1-0 victory over the bottom-bound bAGGIESW; Liverpool held off Stoke City, at Anfield, for a 1-0 result; at home, Queens Park Rangers defeated a determined Leicester side, 3-2, at home; Burnley FC, at home, drew with Aswton Villa, at one all; Swansea City also drew 1-1, with Crystal Palace, who are playing much better these days; Man United spanked Hull, 3-0, to hold on for a while to their place in the Top 4; and West Ham ended Newcastle's recent streak, topping the Maghpies, 1-0. Still to come, today, Chelsea at the Stadium opf Light, for Sunderland; tomorrow features matches between Man City at St. Mary's for Southampton, and Everton v Spurs at White Hart Lane.
Football - Chelsea coast to win over West Brom, Man City beat Swansea
Newcastle vs. QPR Newcastle are in sensational form with five wins in a row. The international break came at a bad time for them and they lost influential skipper FAbricio Coloccini; however they should still be far too good for QPR at home here. QPR have lost all 5 games on the road so far this season, scoring just twice and conceding 14 goals. Suggested bets: Newcastle WIN @ $1.81 (BetEasy) Stake: 1.5 Newcastle -1.5 @ $3.30 Stake: 0.5 Stoke City vs. Burnley Two very poor sides offensively, with Stoke having scored just 12 goals in 11 games and Burnley having scored 6 goals in their 11 games. Away from home, Burnley has scored on just 2 occasions and have been kept goalless in 4 of their 5 games away from home. Suggested bets: Stoke City to keep a clean sheet @ $2.20 Stake: 1 Stoke City to win to nil @ $2.78 Stake: 1 MULTI Man City to beat Swansea Newcastle to beat QPR Stoke to beat Burnley Chelsea to beat West Brom Odds: $5.07 Stake: 0.5 English Lower League Double: Championship: Blackburn to beat Leeds ...

PREM LEAGUE - After this weekends results, no wonder it's the best league in the world!! Totally unpredictable!! Man City managed to earn a well deserved draw at home to Chelski drawing 1-1 with 10 men, though we should have had a penalty after Yaya Toure was brought down in the box. Brilliant how we marked Costa the Beast out of the game. And having Frank Lampard coming on and scoring the equaliser - well, you couldn't have written that story!! Nice to see both sets of fans applauding him when he came on!! What the *** is happening at Man U - after being 3-1 up away to Leicester, they totally capitulated to lose the game 5-3! Thought they had turned the corner last week when they won 4-0, then this happens. I predicted a 4-0 win for them. Then there were losses as well for Liverpool at West Ham, Spurs at West Brom, Everton at home to Crystal Palace, and Swansea at home to Southampton who are now lying second in the league after having their manager and half their team leave last season!! Bookies ...

Just seen the Spain World Cup squad...wow. Thought I would compare it to the England squad. Out of the 23 man squads: # players that were in Champions League... Qtr finals: Spain 21 England 10 Semi-Finals: Spain 9 England 2 Final: Spain 7 England 0 Teams that are represented in both squads: Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal (interesting huh?) The other teams rep in the Spanish squad: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Bayern Munich The other teams rep in the English squad: Liverpool, Everton, West Brom, Southampton, Celtic No disrespect meant but look at the difference. Every single player in Spain plays for one of the top teams in the world. Underdogs can win with the right team chemistry but it's a tall order. Come on England!!
PAPER TALK THE TIMES Manchester City will not allow midfielder Yaya Toure, who says he is upset over the way the club treated him at his 31st birthday celebrations, to leave the Etihad and have no plans to open talks over a new deal for the Ivory Coast international. Ashley Cole, who is set to leave Chelsea, would prefer to sign for another Premier League club, despite attracting interest from Real Madrid, Monaco and Paris St Germain. THE SUN Centre-back Joleon Lescott is prepared to take a 50% pay cut in wages in order to stay in the Premier League after leaving Man City, with Aston Villa, West Ham and Hull City all keen on signing the England international on a free transfer. Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade is a shock contender for the vacant West Brom job. Manchester United's new boss Louis Van Gaal could make PSV Eindhoven striker Memphis Depay, who is in his Netherlands squad for the World Cup, one of his first Old Trafford signings. Daily Star Van Gaal will hold talks with England striker Wayne Roo ...

THE 2013-14 Premier League...WHAT'S LEFT TO PLAY FOR... THE TITLE If West Ham win at the Etihad, Liverpool can pip Man City by beating Newcastle at Anfield. City need a point to win de title! Europa League Hull qualify through the FA Cup and fifth-placed Everton are in. Tottenham will get the final spot with a point against Aston Villa. If Spurs lose, Man Utd can pip them with a win at Southampton. IS THERE A BONUS PLACE FROM FAIR PLAY LEAGUE? No. Only the top three nations in UEFA’s Respect rankings get an extra Europa League spot. Norway, Sweden and Finland will receive that honour. PREMIER RELEGATION Norwich still have a mathematical chance of survival but need to beat Arsenal and hope West Brom lose to Stoke with a 17-goal swing in the Canaries’ favour.

Borini: Spurs defeat saved us Fabio Borini says a 5-1 defeat at Tottenham was the "punch in the face" that sparked Sunderland's escape from relegation. Last Updated: 08/05/14 at 13:43 Post Comment Premier League. Click here to bet. Fabio Borini: Liverpool will decide on-loan forward's future The April 7 hammering at White Hart Lane was a seventh defeat in eight Premier League games and left Sunderland seven points from safety with just seven games to play. Gus Poyet famously claimed after the Spurs game Sunderland needed "a miracle" to stay up, and when Wednesday's win against West Brom secured survival the manager said: "No doubt about it, I believe in them now!" Sunderland's escape is all the more remarkable given their run of 13 points from 15 included away trips to Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. And on-loan Liverpool forward Borini told Sky Sports News: "If in the future I tell my grandson we got safe against Man City, Chelsea and Man United away, he won't believe me. "The peak of the ...

Reasons Everton have to give 100% on Saturday against Man City. 1- Roy Hodgson will be watching, players like Barkley,Jagielka, Baines and Osman can't afford to not impress, especially against the quality of Man City. 2- financially, Like every club it's a business at the end of the day. The Higher up the league you finish, the more prize money, almost a million per position. Also the Europa League brings matches, matches = extra revenue. 3- They still have a chance of top 4, we've seen some crazy results this year. West Brom are more than capable of causing a upset against Arsenal. 4- Martinez will expect nothing more than 100% from his team. They've performed excellent this season, to fall flat at the final hurdle would take the edge of what has been a great season for them. 5- To play for a loss would be impossible, these players are conditioned to try to win, as we've shown against Blackburn in 95. I could go on. One more Twist is all I ask.

Man City 1-0 West Brom. It's helter-skelter tuff at the Etihad. Sergio Aguero, who looks like a man eager to make up for lost time following injury, fires narrowly over the bar in what is his third game back. At the other end, Stephane Sessegnon has a goal ruled out for off-side.

I did a predictor for the Premier League final table, according to the predictor no one was relegated and the champions weren't decided all until the final day. Here's how the table looked at the end: C.Man City 2.Chelsea 3.Liverpool 4.Arsenal 5.Everton 6.Man Utd 7.Tottenham 8.Southampton 9.Newcastle 10.Stoke 11.Crystal Palace 12.Aston Villa 13.Swansea 14.Hull 15.West Ham 16.West Brom 17.Norwich R.Fulham R.Sunderland R.Cardiff
West Brom, Everton, Newcastle, Spurs, Swansea, Liverpool & Man City have all won at Old Trafford this season. Over to you Bayern.
charge the players of West Brom, Hull and QPR over quenelle and warn the players of title chasing Liverpool and Man City
Aggregate score for United's home games against West Brom, Everton, Newcastle, Spurs, Liverpool, Man City is 2-12.
Well done the Hammers, 1-2 away at Sunderland is a great result! Tough run in though, games against Liverpool, Arsenal, West Brom, Palace, Spurs and Man City left!
Forget the defeat to Stoke, but are west brom, Aston Villa and now Crystal Palace showing us Jose Mourinho's limitations as a manager? Even our so called "easy" run in in the remaining fixtures do not look easy anymore since some are against these teams fighting relegation. If this is how we would be huffing and puffing without answers against such teams, Mourinho should just not bother any more and hand over to Liverpool or Man City. At times you just wonder at results, Aston Villa beat us and xame unstuck against stoke getting beaten at villa park by 4-1. So was west brom which came unstuck at Everton. Assuming we beat PSG and come up against Atletico, would we not just forget that game since they will set up like these EPL teams against whom we have not produced any inspired solution or creative agenda to secure a victory. At selhurst park, our decision making was poor, matic was unusually poor with some passes etc. We could and should have done better than we did. Mourinho has no excuse. He must come ...
Jose might have said it with his tongue in his cheek with the little horse stuff but it is real. Chelsea cannot win the EPL especially with this performance and similar ones against Stoke, Newcastle, Villa, West Brom etc. For Chelsea the title contest is over except Man City implode and blow it; and this appears unlikely. Perhaps, we would have been in position to win the league if we had been allowed to play Ar6enal every week!
Chance of beating Man City at Emirate is very slim. Nothing special about Emirate to other clubs anymore. Swansea picked point there. Aston Villa, Everton and West Brom have done the same thing there. Our players are not playing with passion anymore. Its a pity !
David Moyes is set to oversee a record-breaking season at Manchester United, but for all the wrong reasons.See the unwanted records below: 1) United are guaranteed to finish the season with their lowest ever Premier League points tally2) United's worst home league form for over a decade3) Suffered three defeats in a row for the first time since 2001 this season4) Eliminated in the FA Cup third round - something which happened just once under Ferguson5) First ever home defeat to Swansea this term6) First home defeat to Newcastle since 19727) First home defeat to West Brom since 19788) First league defeat to Stoke since 19849) First time Man City & Liverpool have beaten United home & away since Premier League's inception10) First time United have conceded a first minute goal in the Premier League - with Dzeko the scorer.
I know we are in a great position but think where we could have been if Toure hadn't gifted West Brom an equalizer, if the linesman at Man City and been awake to the fact Raheem Sterling was at least 2 yards onside when he scored, if Howard Webb hadn't been so corrupt and sent Eto off for his disgusting foul on Jordan Henderson and hence preventing him from eventually bundling in a winner or at very least awarding us the stonewall penalty for his challenge on Luis Suarez, and finally sending off Mirallas for his assault on Luis in the Derby and hence preventing him setting up the 2 equalizing goals, the answer is we would have been heading to our first title in 24 years, come on boys, don't let theses bad decisions prevent us from reaching our goal!
1960's Man City v West Brom in the Cup Final
Well..Well..we've had a nice weekend..Man United back with a bang and Man City yet again losses to Wigan Athletic! Next week we're facing Liverpool who doesn't have any match this week..So they're probably well rested and likely to be strong..But that ain't a problem..We as a whole team have made a improvement and found a new pair in Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. Also..with Fellaini our mid field has improved. Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and RVP lead attack. However, DM in recent Press Conference stated that Shinji Kagawa will be given more playing time. This's a good news to all of us. The lad gave a cameo against West Brom. Meanwhile, Michael Keane, the promising centre back is loaned for the rest of the season to Blackburn Rovers!!
Posted on: Sat 15 Feb 2014 Summary We exit the FA Cup at the fifth-round stage having not matched the performance level of the league win on this ground earlier in the month. It was a deserved win for Manchester City who this time found a way to stop Chelsea's counter-attacking threat, and were able to restrict the visitors to no attempts on target during the 90 minutes. Stevan Jovetic in the first half and Samir Nasri in the second scored the goals that did the damage after well-worked moves. Man City's display was not packed with attempts on goal, although Petr Cech saved well from Edin Dzeko before the break, but they had enough to end our run of 12 games unbeaten, stretching back to the Capital One Cup exit at Sunderland. Team News There was good news before kick-off with Gary Cahill fit to start following his calf injury in the closing minutes at West Brom midweek. It meant Jose Mourinho was able to name the same side as the one that did so well in the league game here, bar one player. With David ...
Martin Lipton of Mirror predicts that Jose will rest players for Saturday FA cup clash against Man City. Although many disagree, ABlueHeart also predict the same. No rotation in the West Brom game gave the clear indication of this. Mourinho know the PL title is possible and will sacrifice FA cup for it.
Latest Super Bowl news.and the final countdown on the Whitewash Tour...and Ding pings it in Berlin. Seahawks still soaring, latest score 43-8...not quite a whitewash but a big a heavy defeat. Whitewashes and heavy defeats really are for the England cricket team. England's tour of Australia finished on Sunday in yet another abject defeat as Australia sealed a 3-0 Twenty20 series whitewash with a crushing 84-run win in Sydney. What a mauling...Ashes Series whitewashed 5-0; Twenty20 whitewashed 3-0; and ODI 4-1, not quite a white wash but pretty close. And China's Ding Junhui had an historic German Masters win in Berlin. Ding became the first player since Stephen Hendry in 1990-91 to win four ranking titles in a single season with a 9-5 victory over Judd Trump in the German Masters final. The Chinese, 26, twice recovered from being two frames down to go into the mid-session interval at 4-4. Ding then rattled off five of the next six frames to seal victory in Berlin. Rumours from Italy: Mirko Vucinic to Arsenal? Edin Dzeko to Juventus? This is a possible combination according to Silly Season as Vucinic is a target right now and in that case Dzeko would be a possible replacement for the old lady in Turin, Italy. Étienne Capoue to SSC Napoli? (50-50 for this to happen) Jorginho to Liverpool? (probably not during this winter window) Cristian Zaccardo to West Brom? (low chance) Johnny Heitinga to Fiorentina? (why not) David Pizarro to Man City? (very likely, but depends on many other transfers before this can happen... so likely if things plays out for different teams) Demba Ba to AS Roma? (Demba Ba is a target for many teams and Silly Season thinks this might not be what the player is looking for. And working with Totti isn't the optimal balance for AS Roma). Arsenal interested in Lucas Biglia Ishak Belfodil to West Ham? (Very Likely to happen) Chelsea interested in Fredy Guarín Fredy Guarín to Spurs? (Guarin himself is interested in moving to Juventus - so this shoul ...

Jose Mourinho's side will, therefore, be targeting 3points vs Swansea to put them in a perfect position to go above Liverpool,&pote ntially, lead the table at the start of 2014. However,Chelsea also have Arsenal&Man City above them, while the Blues are only ahead of 5th-placed Everton on Goal Difference, such is the congested nature of the top end of the standings. Chelsea do boast an impressive home record this season after winning 7 out of 8games,with the only blip a 2-2 draw with West Brom last month. That game almost cost Mourinho his unbeaten home record in the Premier League as Chelsea manager before Eden Hazard scored a controversial late penalty to salvage a ...

Ligue 1 big spenders AS Monaco will make a £16.75m offer for Man City skipper Vincent Kompany according to talkSPORT. Kompany has been out injured for much of the current campaign but has returned to start recent fixtures against West Brom and Southampton and it’s unlikely Etihad Stadium boss Manuel Pellegrini would be looking to consider offers for the Belgian international. AS Monaco have started their return season in the French top tier well, losing just one of their opening 17 fixtures and conceding just 11 goals in the process. Boss Claudio Ranieri may however see Kompany who can take over from veteran Ricardo Carvalho in the long term, the former Chelsea and Real Madrid man being 35 years of age . Premier League Review Blog Hello and welcome to The Football Analyst Show and tonight were going to be reviewing the Premier League fixtures from this weekend. We'll start off with a shock at Old Trafford as Newcastle beat Man United 1-0 with the winner coming from midfielder Yohan Cabaye after he smartly finished past De Gea. Crystal Palace beat Cardiff 2-0 as they booked their 4th win of the season with goals from Cameron Jerome and Marouane Chamakh. Liverpool beat West Ham 4-1 at Anfield with goals from a Guy Demel OG, Mamadou Sakho, Luis Suarez and a Joey O'Brien OG. The reply from the hammers came from a miscued Martin Skrtel clearance which ended up in the back of his own net. Man City drew at Southampton 1-1 as a goal from Pablo Osvaldo gave the saints a point. Man City took the lead through Sergio Aguero before Osvaldo equalised. Stoke beat Chelsea 3-2. Andre Schurrle gave Chelsea the lead before Peter Crouch put Stoke back in it before half time. Stephen Ireland then put Stoke in front before Sch ...
Manchester United version 2013-14: Simply not good enough By AlexThanopoulos, Picture this: Tottenham and manager Andre Villas-Boas, coming off a 6-0 battering at the hands of Man City, have Man United next up at home. AVB and Co., still licking their wounds, find a Manchester United team sheet that consists of Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Antonio Valencia partnering Wayne Rooney and Shinji Kagawa in attack. Throw in a defence that leaks more than Julian Assange, and all of a sudden you have a team that can believe that can be up against the reigning Premier League Champions and think “this doesn’t look a daunting task.” Quite frankly it isn’t, and it wasn’t. They drew 2-2. We all know that David MoyesManchester United are struggling. Loses to the hands of Manchester City and Liverpool are not rare in United’s dominant history. Losses to West Brom and Everton at home, as well as conceding late equalisers to Southampton and Cardiff, are not. This season United simply doesn’t have that ...
Curtis Davies says he doesn't expect a fierce clash between West Brom and Villa because he believes it's still the region's "friendly" derby. Davies accepts there will be a touch of spirit early on but he thinks the football will do the talking and ensure a fascinating encounter. Rather than West Brom v Villa, he still believes Villa v Blues and West Brom v Wolves are the recognised grudge matches. He said: "If you asked me last season, I'd have fancied West Brom. "They were flying and playing good football. I'd have fancied them strongly. Villa were struggling and weren't in a good position in the table. "Both sides have made a solid start this around, though. "West Brom beat Man Utd which I hope will kickstart their season. Villa had a couple of great results against Man City and Arsenal. "It will be a really tight game. But I think it will be a good football match. "Villa like to pass and move it - certainly not over-pass - but play in the right way and Albion - under Steve Clarke - have good philosoph ...
If the PL table was by the amount of goals scored. Man City would be top, Tottenham would be 14th behind Fulham who are in the relagation zone on the current ladder. With the only teams in the same positions are West Brom 10th, Aston Villa 11th Sunderland 19th and Crystal Palace 20th. Talk about how good this season is going to be. -Jake

Transfer deals we expect to go through this summer. 10) Marouane Fellaini - Everton to Arsenal, Chelsea or Man United The midfielder has that £22million clause in his contract and Arsenal are ready to trigger it. With Chelsea and Manchester United also tracking him it is easy to see why the Toffees will struggle to keep him. The move to Arsenal should be the one. 9) Aleksandar Kolarov - Man City to Juventus The Serie A side have already signed Carlos Tevez from City and are keen on left-back Kolarov as well. The deal is odds-on to happen this summer. Edinson Cavani - Napoli to Chelsea The Napoli president Aurelio De Laurantiis has said he won't go unless his massive release clause is triggered. Rafa Benitez has backed him up. But Napoli are resigned to him leaving and the word coming out of Italy is that Chelsea are prepared to hand the striker a five year deal. Should get done. 7) Darren Bent - Aston Villa to Newcastle Villa boss Paul Lambert wants him off the wage bill and he will have to take a wage C ...

Stamford Bridge side set to sign Uruguayan? French source Le10Sport claim that Chelsea have jumped to the head of the ever growing queue of suitors keen to land Napoli goal machine Edinson Cavani. The West London side have reportedly triggered the 26 year old forward’s €63m (£53m) release clause and have done so before the likes of Real Madrid and Man City, leaving many to believe that the Uruguayan is on his way to Stamford Bridge. Indeed Cavani could well be one of Jose Mourinho’s first signings of the summer and arguably resolves Chelsea’s main area of weakness, namely the lack of a prolific forward. Fernando Torres managed just eight goals in 36 Premier League matches last term and Demba Ba proved something of a disappointment since his January move to join the Blues and even though Mourinho seems keen to welcome back youngster Romelu Lukaku back into the first team set-up after an excellent season on loan at West Brom, there is still scope for the signing of a ‘Marquee’ capture to boost ...

04-03-2013 With victories over Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and West Bromwich Albion in the league a solid response to the disappointment of defeat at Manchester City, Petr Cech has spoken about a week of important preparation for those games, and the benefit of views being aired. As ever this season, the amount of time that could be spent on the training pitch was limited by the fixture schedule but with discussions taking place among the squad and coaching staff in the wake of the 2-0 defeat last Sunday, everyone was determined to do better and work out what was not right. 'The mood was that we try to improve on the way we played at Man City because it was a poor performance,' said Cech, looking back to the start of last week. 'We worked all week to improve that and we did a professional job at Middlesbrough, and we wanted to carry that on to the West Brom game because we knew how important that game was, and we had a good performance. 'We try to stick together, we try to find solutions and we try to wor ...

hil Thompson on the refereeing decisions that cost QPR against West Brom "QPR had some bad decisions go against them; firstly, Marc-Antoine Fortune backed into Robert Green from a corner and Green couldn't get off his feet to punch the ball, so it bounced off his fist and went into the goal and West Brom went 2-0 up. "You can say the 'keeper should have been stronger but it shouldn't have been allowed. Then Rangers should have had a penalty at the end when Liam Ridgewell handled the ball. "The referee should have seen both controversial incidents, but like we saw when Reading played Man City at the weekend, the team at the bottom who are fighting for their life did not get the decision. "Still, it took Rangers an hour to find any urgency - which they got after going 3-5-2 - and West Brom were comfortable - even though their 'keeper Ben Foster made a worldy save from a Clint Hill header."

Manchester Utd have won top-flight away games at Chelsea, Liverpool & Man City in the same season for the first time since.. Fabregas out for up to four weeks with hamstring injury.
If West Ham hold on to this lead, they'll have won 18 points at home already this season, level with West Brom and Man United and behind only Man City, who have 20. What makes the Hammers such a tough proposition at Upton Park?

Alex Ferguson says its a 'Three horse race' I hope he means Man Utd, Man City and West Brom. Chelsea who?
A bit of meaningful trivia from the English Premier League that should have all Liverpool fans sitting forward in their seats begging for more - if you were to take the results of the last six matches - LIVERPOOL would be FIFTH on the table behind Man City, Man Untd, West Brom and Norwich City being unbeaten having two wins and four draws. Watching their three zip drubbing on Sunday morning has one drooling for the next two away games Swansea at 0230 Monday NZT and Tottenham on the 29th. Its a long 38 match season as you know Mr Ferguson, Mancini, Matteo, Wenger and our man Brendon is starting to work the oracle with Stevie, Luis, Naheem etc etc You'll never Walk Alone.
Chelsea lose ground in title race November 17, 2012 Chelsea fell four points behind a rampant Manchester City in the Premier League after losing to West Brom on Saturday, as QPR were left stranded at the bottom of the table by the same margin after they lost an early season relegation battle against Southampton and Reading came from behind to defeat Everton. After Arsenal scored five to beat Tottenham in the day's early match, Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero then scored twice apiece as Man City repeated that feat with a 5-0 win over Aston Villa, while Luis Suarez was again instrumental as Liverpool battered Wigan and Michu and Jonathan De Guzman notched as Swansea consigned Newcastle to another defeat. Chelsea faced the prospect of falling six points behind Manchester United - facing Norwich in the evening kick-off - in the title race after they were beaten 2-1 by West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns. Baggies manager Steve Clarke had spoken before the match of his side's desire to take a major scalp at ** ...
Greetings Premier League fans! Another great week in the world's best league so lets get to the results...Saturday...Chelsea visited Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The Blues looked like they would walk all over the Spurs in the first half and took a 0-1 lead into the half, but as the second half started the Spurs decided to finally play and quickly turned the deficit into a 2-1 lead. Then it became the Juan Mata show as he powered the Blues back into the lead with two fine tallies on way to a 2-4 victory for the league leaders...Fulham hosted Aston Villa and finally made their dominance of the match pay off when Chris Baird scored in the 84th min to delight the Craven Cottage fans in a 1-0 final...Man City travelled to The Hawthorns to take on a pesky West Brom team that have proven to be no push over. David Platt hailed the importance of Manchester City super-sub Edin Dzeko after his two late goals earned victory at West Brom.
West Bromwich Albion 1 Man City 2 A most exciting game with Man City taking the ascendancy right from the start. The pattern soon emerging was City on the attack playing patient build-ups; West Brom defending deep, playing for breakaways. It was on one of West Brom's breakaways that James Milner got himself sent off for a late tackle in a 'last man' situation. At that point it looked as though it was going to be an uphill striggle for City but they continued to attack right up to half-time. City went on the offensive ag'in from the start of the second half but, as the time wore on, it became more and more apparent that West Brom's extra man was leaving City susceptible to their speedy breakaways. With half and hour to go Manager Mancini brought on Aguero in place of Ballotelli: five minutes later West Brom scored. On 80 mins Dzecko came on in place of Barry as City strove for an equaliser. Manager Mancini's shrew move worked straight away wih the lanky Bosnian levelling the scores with a head ...
West Brom 1-0 Man City - Shane Long (67 mins) A whiff of offside about this goal at first viewing but replays show Shane Long is definitely onside when he meets Peter Odemwingie's through ball to slot the Baggies ahead.

Match Report – Sunderland 1 Liverpool 1 After what has been an emotional week on Merseyside after the findings of the Hillsborough Independent Panel, football had rightly taken a back seat. But after all was said and done the club had to be professional and get back down to the business of securing our first league win of the season. The performance, particularly the second half deserved that league win but it wasn’t to be. You can either look at this game as a reason to be cheerful after a promising display against a gritty Sunderland side at home or a worrying sign for the future, that if we can play that well and still not win what happens when our performance level dips. Out of the four games thus far, our best performances have came against Man City and Sunderland. Both displays deserved three points, but we only picked up a point each. We weren’t at the races at all against either West Brom or Arsenal and got deservedly beaten. How well do we have to play to bloody win? That’s the worry. We ...

Match Report – Liverpool 2 Man City 2 Personally the draw felt like a defeat when the final whistle rung out around Anfield at full time yesterday, but having had a day to think about it I don’t feel that disappointed now. We have a lot to be encouraged by after this performance. Last week I didn’t get to down in the dumps after the 3-0 defeat by West Brom, because taken in isolation those results can happen from time to time and we’ve been no strangers to results like that in the recent past. So by the same mantra I’m not going to get too carried away either with the performance on the pitch yesterday, because we’ve seen so many false dawns over the least couple of years. One thing though that stood out yesterday is that the fans needed to see a reaction after last week and we got one. Aside from the obvious defensive errors that led to us dropping 2 points, what we saw yesterday was a display full of energy, desire and quality. Man City knew they’d been in a game too, Yaya Toure admitted a ...

13.11 BST: Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini said his players have been unsettled by the constant rumours of financial problems - with Santi Cazorla one such player who may move to Arsenal. West Brom 2-3 Arsenal Aside keeping critics of the Gunners strong, Arsenal have again qualified for the UCL for the 17th straight season, under Arsene Wenger, it is left for Spurs and Chelsea to pray over the final 4th spot. RVP has begun talks Villa is coming and more could follow. Up Gunners, Up Wenger, from 17th after 5 weeks to 3rd is worth celeberating esp after the painful Exit of Cesc Fabregas and Nasir. We dedicate the win to Pat Rice who exited Arsenal after the match and after a meritorious 44 years relationship with the club as player, captain and Asst Coach. Congrats as well to Man City - The shout that followed Aguero's winner eas clear indication that EPL followers were tired of the Old Fox Man United, which thinks the EPL must be won with very average players. I congratulate City bcs they are our allies financially; Bought: Colo Toure = 18 million Adebayo = 29 million Nasir = 25 million Cliche = 10 million Total = 82 million pounds in three years.
Not a betting man but had a bet on the Grand National managed to get £50.00 back, Gambled on West Brom beating Liverpool a week ago they did and I won, bet most of the winnings on Chelsea to Man City 2-1 and they did. Go back £260.00. *** good for someone who only gambles when in Las Vegas.
