BREAKING Transfer News: Liverpool are looking to sign Sunderland FC wideman Adam Johnson in exchange for Fabio Borini. Everton were reported to be looking for the Englishman on loan, but reports from North England indicate Gus Poyet is reluctant to loan out the ex-Man City man to a Prem rival, preferring a permanent deal. Sources also point out that Poyet is a big fan of Borini's, after the Italian's successful loan spell with the Black Cats last season. We think Johnson would be a good replacement for Victor Moses, who will return to Chelsea after a loan spell with us.-DN
Man City snubbed enquiries from Atletico madrid, Sevilla, Malaga & Chelsea for Adam Johnson
I do love the fact that Woy Hodgson hasn't fallen for the old trick of picking players from clubs mainly in the top 8 some on so called "reputation" all the while ignoring "form".so refreshing! England squad by club: Liverpool (5), Man Utd (5), Southampton (4), Chelsea (3), Arsenal (2), Man City (2), Everton (2), Spurs (2). MUFC - 5 - Smalling over Tomkins? Cleverley over Noble? Saints - 4 - Lallana being driven there by Noble, why? Because he's still in his back pocket from last weekend. Spurs - Townsend, err there is a geezer called Adam Johnson on fire right now. Names 4 keepers (yep FOUR Keepers) and 3 left Backs, plus a CB (Caulker - again better than Tomkins?) whose team are getting whipped every week. Now the good news is this, the WHUFC players can fly under the radar, not get injured or tired and end our season the best we can.
PREVIEW Man City v Sunderland; Premier League | Etihad Stadium | Wed 12 Feb | 7:45pm Billed as A dress rehearsal for the League Cup final, another potential banana skin for Manchester City, and other clichés besides. Remember when Man City sold Adam Johnson because they thought Scott Sinclair was the Next Big Thing.
Where are my boys? Ji, Altidore, Adam Johnson, Wes Brown, John O'shea, Phil Bardsley, Lee Catermole etc. Mr Gus Poyet its time to repeat what you did to Man City to your former club. You played for them and so what? Beat them for me wai, I beg you.
A very well hard fought win today. Best defending I have seen in a long while from a Sunderland side who believed in themselves more and more as the game progressed. Wes Brown was rightly given MOM,if only he can remain injury free we can hopefully climb the PL to at least mid table and forget about relegation. Brilliant the way we restricted Man City to only a handful of chances to make them look clueless in their ideas of trying to break down our fortress, even Seb Larsson put a shift and a half in. If only we could play Man City each week to get a decent performance out of Adam Johnson ! Bring on Stoke in a fortnights time. HA'WAY THE LADS.
Sunderland 1 Man City 0 Published: 16 August, 2012 by Stuart Vose Johnson scores Boxing Day winner. Sunderland toppled champions Manchester City on Wearside as Adam Johnson scored a Boxing Day winner against his former club. Johnson blasted home a 30-yard shot from out wide eight minutes into the second half to hand Black Cats fans everywhere a belated Christmas present. Spotting City keeper Joe Hart out of position, Johnson cashed in with a sublime effort as Sunderland inflicted only the Manchester club's second league defeat this season. And what's more, they were full value for it. From keeper Simon Mignolet – who was faultless – outwards, Sunderland were the hungrier of the two teams and created the better chances, especially late on. The win is Sunderland's third home victory in a row over City, who had plenty of possession but couldn't break down a determined Sunderland side who would've demolished brick walls to get the win. Martin O'Neill's men have now won three of their last four games and t ...

Jack Rodwell to Man City, good luck on ruining your career. He'll probably end up like James Milner and Adam Johnson.
Sunderland fan on the radio says Man City are singing Scott Sinclair and they are signing Adam Johnson. ITK.
Scott Sinclair to Man City is a bit surprising + prob means Adam Johnson is leaving. I hope he does as he's wasted on the bench there

How can Man City have Gareth Barry/James Milner and not use Adam Johnson :/ why is Adam Johnson wasting his Career there.
Adam Johnson doesn't get much game time at Man City, I would have thought he'd have looked at Scott Sinclair from Swansea
Personally can see Adam Johnson, Kolo Toure, Edin Dzeko and Emmanual Adebayor all leaving Man City this summer, with adebayor to spurs
As well as Andy Johnson, QPR enquired for Adam Johnson from Man City, but the club rejected the enquiry
Similarly Adam Johnson has also found himself surplus to requirements at the Premier League title holders and has in fact never had a firm footing in Mancini’s starting eleven plans. Rodgers is looking to bring in alternative options for the Liverpool flanks and will look to make an offer for the England international and his interest in the Sunderland born winger will depend a great deal on how much Man City would seek for his services. The 24 year old also made just ten Premier League starts last term and that lack of first team action in all likelihood cost the winger his place in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2012 squad. The former Middlesbrough man may well have to decide if his attempts to persuade Mancini he is worthy of a regular spot in his plans are likely to amount to anything and with that in mind may well be open to offers. Rodgers will be more than aware that neither Stewart Downing or Jordan Henderson impressed in wide roles last term and therefore interest in Johnson is understandable.
Sky Sports understands that Man City have no intention of allowing Adam Johnson to leave the club on loan this summer.
Man City could be looking at a potential swap deal involving Adebayor and Adam Johnson to get Gareth Bale.
Nuri Sahin - Real Madrid. 23 - AMF/playmaker. To provide creativity from the central areas. Oscar - Internacional- age 21 - Brazillian international playmaker. Great technique, shooting and passing ability. Sure to be a top class player Younes Belhanda - Montpellier - 22 - creative midfield player, ball carrier with an eye for a pass Ryad Boudebouz - Sochaux- 22 - winger, great dribbling skills, with an eye for a pass. Adam Johnson - Man City - 25 - Able to beat almost any fullback off the dribble however there are issues with his consistency. Phillipe Coutinho - Inter Milan - 20 - Fantastic young Winger with pace and trickery, can beat anyone off the dribble. Ibrahim affellay - Barcelona -RW Age 26 - but undoubted quality, good technique a trick, good crossing & scoring ability Mathias Suarez - Anderlect -25- fantastic player with great technique, movement, dribbling and finishing ability.
Jordan Henderson in England squad to replace Lampard...he was average at Sunderland he's even worse at Liverpool...although Adam Johnson hasn't played that much this season it isn't down to lack of talent but due to the Man City squad...Adam Johnson ahead of Henderson all day long for me, much more of a threat and can play either wing!!
David Bentley, Adam Johnson and half of Man City team just to name a few
Re: England squad selection. I'd like to register my utter disgust at Adam Johnson's omission from the team. He is arguably England's most exciting wide player, however failing to play first team football for Manchester's 2nd biggest team appears to have cost him. Get out now Adam, while you're still highly regarded, don't rot as a bench warmer (unless you are in it just for the £££'s). I respect Hodgson as a manager but he has shown very noticeable bias towards any English player who plays for Liverpool. Downing...seriously??? Gerrard as Captain, he hasn't even played half a season and has shown no form at all. Carroll has 2 good games and now all of a sudden he's in when he has had a stinker of a season for Liverpool in general. Henderson on stand-by??? Is that the best back-up central midfielder we've got? Barry & Milner are average at best and are only made to look better when Yaya Toure is playing with them for Man City. I hope this works, Roy. For your sake.
If Eden Hazard does go to Man City, can we please have Adam Johnson? We did sell you Wayne Bridge & SWP!
