Louisiana Seafood Festival October 10-12, 2014 There is a sign hanging in a French Quarter restaurant that says “The oysters on your plate right now slept last night in the Gulf of Mexico.” Those few words more than adequately sum up the freshness and quality of the seafood served in our local dining establishments. New Orleans is world-renowned for the taste and quality of its seafood, much of which comes from the nearby Gulf of Mexico and the marshlands and bayous that feed into it. Given that reputation, organizers of the Louisiana Seafood Festival felt there was no better place than New Orleans to hold such an event and they turned it into a three-day celebration. This year’s Seafood Festival will again be held at the City Park Festival Grounds, adjacent to scenic Bayou St. John and the picturesque lagoons of the park itself. It was moved there last year from Woldenberg Riverfront Park to accommodate larger crowds and provide more convenient parking. This year’s dates are October 10-12. The ** ...

Crazy Busy day ahead.First, off to S.L.U. to supply my Incredible dancing Daughter, Olivia , with some great grub for her and the rest of the Southeastern University Lionettes. Then heading down to NOLA for The Louisiana Seafood Festival, in Woldengerg Park, on the beautiful Mississippi River, to catch our other incredible daughter, Alexis, and her Band, Alexis and the Samurai, Perform at 4pm- 5pm on the Capital One Stage. Oh and my third incredible daughter, Taylor Morgan Marceaux will be tagging along! Come and enjoy a Beautiful day in the French Quarter, and support Local Music and Local Seafood!! We Hope to see y'all there!!!
