Do you guys ever think Lionel Messi will ever grace the English Premier League? Chelsea are the latest club to be linked with the footballing legend amidst rumors of a tensions between Barca manager Luis Enrique and Leo. Chelsea are rumored to be contemplating a stunning 200million plus deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge. One thing for sure is that despite all the personal awards, records and trophies beloniging to Messi, a certain Christiano Ronaldo will still boast that he once BOSSED the EPL. So imo, until Messi runs riot in the Premier League, CR7 still on top.
The SEVEN reasons why Lionel Messi could make £200MILLION Chelsea move: 1) There are suggestions the Argentine is unhappy with his pay packet at Barcelona. He signed a new contract in May that earns him £16m a year after tax - but his great rival Cristiano Ronaldo earns £19m a year at Real Madrid. This has apparently caused friction between Messi's camp and Barca. 2) Messi is the all-time top goalscorer in La Liga and the Champions League. But he wants to play in the Premier League and turning 28 in June he could feel the timing is perfect for a move to England. 3) Barca have slapped an astonishing £200m price tag on their star man. But according to sources close to the player, Adidas (Chelsea club sponsor and kit supplier) are ready to help fund the deal in order to steal Messi from their big rivals Nike (who sponsor Barca). 4) Cesc Fabregas left the Nou Camp for Chelsea this summer and is trying to persuade his close friend, his future lies at Stamford Bridge too. 5) Messi wants to live in London. Hazard: I can be one of the best in the world The 23-year-old has shone alongside Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas for the rampant Blues but feels he is still some way behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Oct 15, 2014 18:10:00 Eden Hazard insists he is not one of the five best players in the world, but feels he is close to it and will improve to become one. Hazard, who netted 17 goals in all competitions for Chelsea last term, has been influential in the Blues' unbeaten start to the new Premier League campaign. Last month it was reported that the Belgium international is on the verge of signing a new five-year-contract at Stamford Bridge, with a total package believed to be worth around €250,000-a-week. But the 23-year-old believes he must still improve in order to be considered on the same level as the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. "I'm not a top-five player yet," Hazard told reporters. "Maybe I'm close to it, but I still have to work on some aspects. "You can only be part of that grou ...
Cesc Fabregas believes Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard can have the same impact on the Blues as Lionel Messi has at Barcelona. Fabregas played alongside four-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi for three years before making a close-season move to Stamford Bridge where, alongside Hazard, he has helped Chelsea to the top of the Premier League. While the ex-Arsenal captain has been consistently impressive since returning to the English Top Flight, Hazard too has been in fine form - winning and scoring the penalty that helped lead Chelsea to victory against Fabregas' former club on Sunday. And Fabregas feels the performances of Hazard will be key to Chelsea's success this term. "He is the link between midfield and attack for us; he is our Messi because he makes the difference," the Spaniard told radio station Cope. "We have a young team but we are very positive about the future." Much of the discussion prior to Chelsea's 2-0 win over Arsenal had centred on Fabregas coming up against a club he spent eight years at bef ...
Chelsea ready to make Messi bid The Blues set to offer monster amount to sign Argentine Chelsea will reportedly make an offer to sign Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi at the end of the season. It emerged yesterday that the Blues had failed to lure Messi to Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window, but have not given up on striking a deal with Barcelona. It is understood that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will offer an astonishing £130 million pounds to Barcelona to sign their superstar after failing with a £118 million pound bid previously. Growing reports suggest that Messi has said to the club that he is currently 'unhappy', fueling speculation that one of the world's best could finally seek a move elsewhere.
BREAKING: Eden Hazard SET FOR BARCELONA MOVE! Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard is set to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window. The Belgian was publicly criticized by boss Jose Mourinho following the Champion League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid and it appears his long-term future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt. And with the Blues reportedly looking to cash in on their star player, Barcelona are prepared to offer him an escape route from London. The Catalans desperately need high-profile signings following a very disappointing season and they are ready to pull all the stops to lure Hazard to Camp Nou. Barcelona are planning to send scouts to England to finalise the deal. The player himself is reportedly interested in a switch to Barcelona, where his attacking qualities would be properly utilized. Hazard, who has compared himself to Barca LEGEND Lionel Messi in the past, is reportedly one of their number one targets - with Barca seeing him play ...

STOP HAZARD,STOP CHELSEA ATTACKING THREAT??. Eden Hazard is undoubtedly a special talent&the sort of player that can win you titles, but have Chelsea become over-reliant on the Belgian to carry their attack this season?. Since Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge the Blues have elevated their status to potential title contenders,&Hazard is showing signs that he is beginning to believe he can one day achieve the level of a Cristiano Ronaldo or a Lionel Messi. Lampard was pivotal in the semi-finals of the 2011–12 Uefa Champions League against the heavily favoured defending champions Barcelona. Bookmakers had Barcelona on the shortest odds to win a second consecutive Champions League title, and various commentators opined that Chelsea would have to produce their best two games of the season - and hope that Barca played their worst two - in order to upset the Catalan giants.[79] In the first leg at Stamford Bridge, Lampard stripped Lionel Messi off the ball then played a cross-field pass to Ramires who setup Drogba for the only goal of the game giving Chelsea a 1–0 advantage.[80] In the second leg at Camp Nou, Lampard assumed the captaincy after Terry was sent off early in the game. Down 2–0 to Barca just before half-time, Lampard assisted Ramires' goal with a through-pass which levelled the aggregate score at 2–2 while putting Chelsea ahead on away goals. Chelsea teammate Fernando Torres added another goal in stoppage time to give Chelsea a 3–2 victory ...

(Messi's Profile) ♥ Leo Messi, with three Ballon d'Or awards to his name (2009, 2010 and 2011) can be officially considered the best player in the world. But despite so many individual virtues, he is also a remarkable team player. This Argentinian striker's footballing career started in 1995 at Newell's Old Boys, where he played until the year 2000. At the age of 13, Lionel Messi crossed the Atlantic to try his luck in Barcelona, and joined the Under 14s. Messi made spectacular progress at each of the different age levels, climbing through the ranks to Barça C, followed by Barça B and the first team in record time. In the 2003-2004 season, when he was still only 16, Messi made his first team debut in a friendly with Porto that marked the opening of the new Dragao stadium. The following championship-winning season, Messi made his first appearance in an official match on October 16, 2004, in Barcelona's derby win against Espanyol at the Olympic Stadium (0-1). Gomez ranks second behind Barcelona's Lionel Messi (14) in this season's Champions League goal scoring charts. His strenth in the air and clinical finishing, with either foot, could prove crucial especially latching on to balls from the Bundesliga's best provider Franck Ribery from the left, and Robben on the right but at d same time The final is likely to be Drogba's swansong for the Stamford Bridge club and the powerful Ivorian can usually be relied upon to produce the goods on the big occasion.
I heartily congratulate Chelsea for having shown courage and determination to beat the UEFA and FIFA adopted team. Most credit to the entire Chelsea team and management but special credits to Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Ramires Ashley Cole and Peter Chec. It was Frank Lampard who stole the ball from Lionel Messi and squared it to Ramires who then gave the final pass to Didier Drogba for their winning goal at Stamford Bridge in London in the first leg. Again it was the same combination between Frank Lampard and Ramires which resulted in the amazing away goal which gave Chelsea hope and stunned Barcelona and their fans. Oh! and Fernando Torres, he did it again against Barcelona last night. At last he has paid back part of the massive investment in him (50 million pounds). With that final goal which secured Chelsea firmly into the final, Torres not only vindicated himself but paid for the massive transfer fee paid out to sign him. Chelsea will earn more than 50 million pounds if they win the final and alre ...
Chelsea reached the Champions League final despite John Terry's sending off to seal a truly remarkable two-legged victory over Barcelona. The Blues were in serious trouble after goals from Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta put Barca ahead either side of Terry's dismissal for violent conduct. But Ramires strode forward to chip Chelsea ahead on away goals. Lionel Messi hit the bar with a penalty for Barca before Fernando Torres ran clear to seal the tie in injury time. Earlier in the week, Torres had said "the best team does not always win" . His words were prophetic for England's last men standing in Europe as they scrapped their way past the defending champions and into the final in Munich on 19 May. That it was Torres who scored the goal after being so maligned during his time at Stamford Bridge made for the perfect ending to a famous night for Roberto Di Matteo's side.

John Terry issued an immediate apology to his Chelsea team-mates for the red card which left them facing a backs-to-the-wall battle against Barcelona. The Blues skipper was given his marching orders by referee Cuneyt Cakir in the first half of their Uefa Champions League semi-final second leg for a blatant knee into the back of Alexis Sanchez. But despite their numerical disadvantage, the Stamford Bridge side hit back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Camp Nou and progress 3-2 on aggregate. Goals from Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta either side of Terry's moment of madness put the Catalan club in control, only for Ramires to put the Blues back on top with a sublime chip shortly before half-time. Lionel Messi then fired a penalty against the bar early in the second half and later hit the base of the excellent Petr Cech's post, before substitute Fernando Torres sparked scenes of jubilation with a breakaway strike in added time. Terry, who will now miss the 19th May final through suspension, admitted after the ...
Chelsea what a night of shock and manic excitement... The side that inflicted on Barcelona their first European defeat of the season at Stamford Bridge and last night ended their hopes of becoming the first side to retain the Champions League trophy. On top of that, Lionel Messi missed a penalty to make it 3-1, a scoreline you doubt whether Chelsea would have recovered from. Chelsea recovered and made catalan cathedral stunned and funeral silenced. Indeed it was a glorious Indian summer for the stamford old guards; Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba... I salute!
The Barcelona of now is not the Barcelona of last year. Lionel Messi looks a bit tired as well. Although he is still dangerous, he is not as sharp as he was. It is far from impossible for Chelsea. They go there off the back of a fantastic result [in the first leg], 1-0, and if they defend like they did at Stamford Bridge they have a chance. Says Wenger
Didier Drogba helps Chelsea take a 1-0 advantage in the Champions League semi-final after seizing on a mistake by Barcelona's Lionel Messi at Stamford Bridge
We fear Chelsea will have to do something special to stop Barcelona and the world's greatest player, Lionel Messi, dishing out a Champions League thrashing at Stamford Bridge tonight. How do you see this one going? Let us know by leaving a comment below...
Van Persie has scored more goals at Stamford Bridge than Lionel Messi has.
Bayern Munich did well on d nite applying experience & tradition to daint Real Madrid whose defence has been impervious to many teams.Bayern needs an away goal & a tight defence at d Bernabeau to go through. As for Chelsea tonight, they need to avoid panic-induced cards when Lionel Messi comes selling dummies. But then I don't see Barcelona leaving Stamford Bridge without an away goal at least.Expect d Barca flair on display tonite. Its more enticing than d mechanical attribute of Chelsea.Goals from Alexis Sanchez & Ibrahim Affelay

The fear ! Te fear! Chelsea FC - The Pride Of london We won't let Chelsea beat us up Pep Guardiola has warned Chelsea that his brilliant Barcelona side won’t be bullied out of more ChampionsLeague glory. The Catalan giants visit Stamford Bridge on Wednesday for the first leg of the semi-final – and Guardiola says the stakes couldn’t be higher. Roberto DiMatteo’s side are ¬expected to devise a physical strategyto cope with Lionel Messi and the magical midfield carousel of Xavi and Andres Iniesta. The brawn of John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic and DidierDrogba is likely to be used toout-muscle the best team in the world, by thwarting the ¬Spaniards’ natural passing game and possession football.
FIVE THINGS ♍♈ BELOVED CHELSEA NEED Τ̅☺ DO Τ̅☺ BEAT BARCELONA IN Uefa Champions League SEMI-FINAL: Chelsea just got over the line against Benfica in the Champions League quarter-finals. Play like that against Barcelona and it could get very ugly indeed for Roberto Di Matteo's side. So what do they need to do to get the better of Lionel Messi, Xavi and the rest of the European Champions? PICK A CENTRE-FORWARD: Get this one wrong and Chelsea’s potency up front gets severely compromised, giving Barcelona an even bigger advantage than the one they already hold. And it is, of course, a straight choice between Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba. Well, going on the performance at Stamford Bridge last night, when Torres patently failed to kick on from his goal at Aston Villa at the weekend, when his confidence clearly waned as the match wore on, you would have to plump for Drogba. That way, Chelsea can play the more direct forward ball to cut out Barca’s midfield pressing. That way, they stand a mu ...
