I just learned that the great Philip Glenister, the Gene Genie himself, was in some bad Buffy rip-off in which he used a reportedly terrible "American" accent in an attempt to distance himself from the Gene Hunt character from Life On Mars and Ashes to Ashes. I hate it when bad roles happen to good actors, and I pray to Kukulkán, the plumed serpent, that I never see this show. I just wonder if his bad accent was worse than the appallingly bad "American" accent of the Mob boss in Batman Begins: "Ya Al-ways fea-yah whatcha don' unnerstan'!"
