Former Vikings coach and new Bucs DC Leslie Frazier says Minnesota's handling of QB Josh Freeman was unfair, unwise:
New Tampa Bay Bucs defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier met with the media on Wednesday at One Buc Place and talked about a number of subjects, including Jared Allen, Gerald McCoy and even Josh Freeman. Frazier also talked about his journey from being fired to being hired in Tampa Bay.

2014 Draft Needs: NFC North By Kevin Weidl Blake Bortles Will Central Florida QB Blake Bortles be around long enough to land with the Minnesota Vikings? We're examining the NFC North in our division-by-division early breakdown of team needs. The Lions and Bears both faltered down the stretch, allowing the Packers to steal the division crown although they finished with just an 8-7-1 record. There will be a few new coaching regimes within the division in 2014, as both the Lions (Jim Schwartz) and Vikings (Leslie Frazier) fired their Head Coaches. Here is a very early look at the position along with a few prospects that each team could be targeting as we get closer to this May's draft. As usual, draft-eligible non-seniors are denoted with an asterisk. CHICAGO BEARS (8-8) Draft Position: No. 14 overall Needs: Defensive line, defensive back, guard/center Chicago has a strong need to infuse youth along the defensive front line. This unit was battered by injuries, which played a big part in the Bears holding lea ...
Christian Ponder and Leslie Frazier were inextricably linked during their time together with the Minnesota Vikings, and the quarterback feels partially at fault for the coach's dismissal.
Lovie Smith & Leslie Frazier... Things are really looking up Buccaneers fans!

In less than a week, the Bucs have named their new Head Coach (Lovie Smith), OC (Jeff Tedford), and DC (Leslie Frazier). I likey. :)
Here is how I choose to see this...Tampa received Leslie Frazier in exchange for Josh Freeman. The future is as bright as the Florida sun! Finally I an say Go Bucs!
Lovie Smith has final say on roster... Lovie Smith's contract contains a clause that gives him final say over all personnel matters on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 53-man roster, according to league sources. That control is something Smith did not officially have in Chicago when he was the Bears' Head Coach. Smith will be formally introduced as the Buccaneers' coach Monday. As for hiring a general manager, many around the league believe Smith ultimately will hire Kansas City's director of pro personnel Chris Ballard, whom he worked with in Chicago. Leslie Frazier will be the next defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the former Minnesota Vikings coach told ESPN's Josina Anderson. Former California Head Coach Jeff Tedford will be the Buccaneers' Offensive Coordinator. The Buccaneers fired coach Greg Schiano and general manager Mark Dominik last week after finishing 4-12.
Former Vikings coach Leslie Frazier confirmed he will indeed be the next Defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccs..! --[confirms Josina Anderson]
Leslie Frazier returns to his natural habitat. D-coordinator for Tampa Bay. Him and Lovie Smith won't make it easy for Drew, Cam & Matt.
ESPN - Ex-Vikes coach Leslie Frazier confirms to ESPN's Josina Anderson he will be next D-coordinator for Bucs
Leslie Frazier has told Josina Anderson of ESPN that he will be the new defensive coordinator in Tampa. Initial reports stated that Rod Marinelli would get the job.
Lovie Smith as Head Coach at Tampa Bay and Leslie Frazier as Defensive Coordinator. That team will be good next year no doubt.
Leslie Frazier says he’s headed to Tampa as defensive coordinator It’s been an interesting few days for Leslie Frazier. He was fired as the Head Coach of the Vikings on Monday, called a coward by Former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe on Thursday and ended the week by getting a new job. Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that Frazier told her that he is “headed to Tampa” to be the new defensive coordinator for the Buccaneers. Frazier was mentioned as a possibility for the coordinator position shortly after Smith was reported as Tampa’s choice to replace Greg Schiano. Cowboys defensive line coach Rod Marinelli, who worked with Smith in Chicago, was also mentioned in relation to the job, but there was some question as to whether the Cowboys would approve a move to Tampa. That appears to be a moot point now. Frazier worked as an assistant under Tony Dungy in Indianapolis, so there’s plenty of familiarity with the Cover 2 scheme that Smith, who worked for Dungy in Tampa, prefers to run. He joins offensive ...

Leslie Frazier has notified Adam Schefter he will be "going to Tampa" to work with Lovie Smith.
I think the best hires for OC/DC that make the most sense and allow for a smooth transition are Norv Turner and Leslie Frazier. Garrett runs his offense based on the Air Corrydel model (same as Turners) and Frazier spent time coaching under Tony Dungy in Indianapolis. Make it happen Jerrah! -Rudy
Former Vikings punter and pro *** ally Chris Kluwe posted an online article today on Deadspin calling special team coordinator Mike Priefer "a bigot" and former coach Leslie Frazier and current general manager Rich Spielman "two cowards" for releasing him in May after eight seasons with the team.
The Minnesota Vikings, who fired their Head Coach and former Bengals DC Leslie Frazier, are reportedly "very interested" in Mike Zimmer and Jay Gruden. They'll have to wait until Jan. 12 to interview them.

If Monte Kiffin is fired and Marinelli is given permission to go to Tampa, Mike Fisher believes that the Cowboys could sign Leslie Frazier (Former Vikings Head Coach) as the new D-coordinator. Frazier could also potentially bring Mike Singletary (who is the Vikings LB coach) to Dallas with him. Fisher also believes that the Cowboys will pursue Norv Turner as the Offensive Coordinator if he is released by the Browns.
Dam Rod Marinelli will be joining Lovie Smith in Tampa Bay. Wow look for Tampa Bay to be a good team next year. Dam hurts to lose Marinelli cause the man did change our D-line for the first half of the season but then the injuries came. Can't expect production when you have 18 different players. I kind of saw Marinelli leaving. Hopefully Kiffin gets the boot. Leslie Frazier should be Dallas' top candidate for DC and Norv Turner as OC. MAKE IT HAPPEN JERRY!! - Jeeno
okay Phil Emery...good job with Cutler. Now on to the defense! Let's start with Leslie Frazier before Lovie snags him for Tampa!

Charley Walters: Mike Grant as Vikings coach? 'Delusional': On Monday, after dismissing Leslie Frazier as coach...
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Fair or not to now-fired coach Leslie Frazier, the Minnesota Vikings have had a glaring void at quarterback since he was hired. General manager Rick Spielman said he's confident he will solve the problem, but he also acknowledged Monday his prior lack of success at doing so. "I haven't got it right yet," Spielman said. "We've worked as hard as we could to try to get that right." Spielman has had full charge of the roster for the past two seasons and been a chief decision-maker on the draft with the Vikings for seven years. He said he takes full responsibility for the personnel decisions -- which include taking Christian Ponder with 12th overall pick in 2011 -- that shaped the roster Frazier was given. Ponder was one of seven quarterbacks to start at least one game in Frazier's three-plus seasons with the team. Spielman also had an underwhelming record in Miami, where in his time running the personnel department he also failed to deliver a trustworthy starter at the sport's most crit ...
Monday saw the Detroit Lions part ways with Jim Schwartz while the Minnesota Vikings waved goodbye to Leslie Frazier.
I didn't play well enough to keep the job and for us to win as many games as we should have. So it stinks knowing that was a contribution to what happened. - Vikings QB Christian Ponder, takes partial blame for Leslie Frazier's firing
Quarterback Christian Ponder admitted that his struggles under center helped catalyze the Minnesota Vikings front office's decision to part ways with coach Leslie Frazier on Monday.
Christian Ponder admitted that his struggles helped lead the Minnesota Vikings to fire coach Leslie Frazier.
Minnesota Vikings fire coach Leslie Frazier, Redskins fire coach Shanahan and Lions fire coach Jim Schwartz - I guess it's clean up time
Five NFL coaches fired... Barely 12 hours after the NFL’s regular season ended, five Head Coaches were unemployed. Fired Monday were Washington’s Mike Shanahan, Detroit’s Jim Schwartz, Minnesota’s Leslie Frazier, and Tampa Bay’s Greg Schiano. Cleveland didn’t even wait that long, dismissing Rob Chudzinski Sunday night after just one season on the job. Shanahan, who won two Super Bowls in Denver in the 1990s, spent four seasons with the Redskins and was 24-40. Schwartz coached the Lions for five seasons, finishing 29-52. Frazier had a little more than three seasons with the Vikings to compile an 18-33-1 mark. Schiano only got two years with the Buccaneers, going 11-21. He had three years and $9 million left on his contract. Tampa Bay also fired general manager Mark Dominik. The firings all came on the heels of the Texans (2-14), who own the top choice in May’s draft after losing their final 14 games, releasing coach Gary Kubiak late in the season. Shanahan reached into the presidential playbo ...
I hate to see people get fired, but Mel Tucker needs to go. I understand all the injuries, but the role of a coach is to work with what he has and coach up the players. Clearly he did not do that. Now that Leslie Frazier is available, and he is a good defensive coordinator, he should be the Bears next man up.
Leslie Frazier for cowboys defensive coordinator. Anyone in the world for jerry jones as gm
Minnesota Vikings: When he didn't get a contract extension after last year's surprising run to the playoffs, Leslie Frazier's future was somewhat preordained. Frazier was probably a victim of his own success in 2012, and when the quarterback carousel began spinning this season, there was almost no chance he could save his job. It wasn't Frazier's fault that the front office could not identify a signal-caller-- wonder what Josh Freeman is thinking right now -- but it was his fault that his two coordinators sometimes seemed overmatched. Now Rick Spielman gets to hire a coach, but the GM might have a tough sales job, what with no quarterback, a pass rush that needs a lot of help and -- oh, by the way -- a team that will be playing outdoors in a college facility for two years while the Vikings' new stadium is built.
Coaching dominoes to benefit Bengals pair December, 30, 2013 11:45 AM ET By Coley Harvey | ESPN.com CINCINNATI -- It's Black Monday around the NFL, and for a still to-be-determined number of men and their families, its arrival has good reason to be met with unwelcome arms. For two Cincinnati Bengals assistant coaches, though, there also is reason to grudgingly embrace this day. While they certainly won't be glad to see some of their peers get booted from head-coaching opportunities, Mike Zimmer and Jay Gruden do have to understand that as dark as this postseason Monday may be for some, it could help illuminate a brighter path for their own careers. By late Monday morning, already three Head Coaches had been fired. Washington let go of Mike Shanahan, Minnesota parted ways with Leslie Frazier and Cleveland split with Rob Chudzinski on Sunday. During the season, Houston also cut ties with Gary Kubiak. Other firings could be on the horizon. It has been hinted here and elsewhere all season that at long last, t ...
A lot of HC's fired today including Jim Schwartz, Mike Shannahan, Leslie Frazier, Greg Schiano, and Rob Chudzinski.
Vikes fire the classiest coach since Bud Grant. Sorry, but you don't go from a top vote-getter for Coach of the Year to bad coach in one year. The Vikings have many reasons they always struggle. Leslie Frazier was not the problem.. One man's opinion.
Now that Leslie Frazier has been fired as Head Coach, does this mean that Christian Ponder is next to be fired?
The Minnesota Vikings fired Leslie Frazier for being 5 - 10 this season. I had no idea the team had a height requirement.
Here's my rant for tonight...It was not Leslie Frazier's fault that he did not have the talent to work with. We just lost man who is very much like Tony Dungy. The coaches are always the first to be blamed.Pray for Coach Frazier as a fellow believer. The man to look at is Rick Speilman who drafted Christian Ponder.we could have had Russell Wilson or Kolin Kappernick.whew I feel better now!:)
Lousy QB play contributed to Leslie Frazier being fired. Christian Ponder said it "stinks'' he didn't play better.
The Minnesota Vikings relieved coach Leslie Frazier of his duties on Monday morning, but players in the locker room don't know the future of his staff as some express support for those coaches who remain.
The Minnesota Vikings fired coach Leslie Frazier on Monday morning, one year after they made the playoffs and one day after they finished a 5-10-1 season. After going 10-6 in 2012, the Vikings regressed this year, done in by a leaky defense and an ongoing inability to find stability at quarterback.…
The reasons why the following got fired: Mike Shanahan: no john elway or Terrell Davis Jim Schwartz: just an *** Greg Schiano: came from college Leslie Frazier: Christian Ponder Rob Chudzinski: chip Kelly went to Philly
If the Bears fire Mel Tucker, I would be very pleased if they hired Leslie Frazier to be D-Coordinator.
Less than 12 months ago, Mike Shanahan, Leslie Frazier and Gary Kubiak were coaching in January. Now all three are unemployed. Jerry Glanville got it spot on when he said NFL stands for "Not For Long." Most mindbaffling to me was the Chudzinski firing. No bones about it, the Browns sucked this year. However, going into the season, they were expected to and the new owner/front office clearly threw in the towel before the first kickoff of the season. Lombardi (and I sure as *** am not talking Michael) himself wouldn't win with Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell taking a majority of the snaps behind center. Sad and telling stat... The Steelers have had 3 Head Coaches since 1969... The Browns will be hiring their third coach since 2012. Teams can't win when ownership is hitting "reset" every off season, contrary to the "what have you done for me now?" mentality of most fans.
With Christian Ponder, Josh Freeman, Matt Cassell & other stiffs at QB, I'm shocked it didn't work out for Leslie Frazier with the Vikings.
The news is in! Which coach do you think was most deserving to get the “ax”? A. Rob Chudzinkski (Browns) B. Jim Schwartz (Lions) C. Greg Schiano (Buccaneers) D. Mike Shanahan (Redskins) E. Leslie Frazier (Vikings) F. Gary Kubiak (Texans)
Bud Grant, Les Steckel, Jerry Burns, Denny Green, Mike Tice, Brad Childress & Leslie Frazier. Face it, You'll never see the Lombardi Trophy in your lifetime & possibly your children's as well. "This is the year we're going all the way" is not a phrase in your playbook. Just saying.
Tonight on News 12 at 5, the Vikings begin the search for Leslie Frazier's replacement, and the city of Mankato takes a new approach to dealing with the freezing temps, ice and snow. See you in a little more than an hour!
Other names attached to Lovie Smith coaching staff: OL Tony Sparano, DC Leslie Frazier and obviously Rod Marinelli in any capacity he wants.

Daniel Snyder: If you are going to insist on being the owner of the Redskins can you please make a better short list of coaches. Bill Cowher? Really? Can we get someone that has been on the sidelines in the last few years. I was thinking Lovie Smith with Leslie Frazier as Offensive Coordinator. Or Bill O'Brien, or even Baylor's coach.

Rick Spielman just answered the Big Question. If he is being honest, sticking with Christian Ponder was Leslie Frazier's call.
The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday morning that Leslie Frazier will not return as Head Coach in 2014.
Dawg. Leslie Frazier made the playoffs last year. This year, my man had Christian Ponder, Josh Freeman, and Matt Cassel...come on, son.
. Re: Vikings firing of Leslie Frazier...Bud Grant is rested and ready.
Well I see Head Coaches around the NFL started getting Fired. Chudzinski ( Browns ) Got fired right after game was over yesterday. Today so far Leslie Frazier ( Vikings ), Mike Shanahan ( Redskins ), Greg Sciano ( Bucs ), and reports being leaked right now that Jim Swartz ( Lions ) has been fired. Gary Kubiak ( Texans ) was fired a few weeks ago. Then you have Jerry Jones saying he stands behind Jason Garrett LOL. Guess 8-8 is a milestone for old Jerry and those Cowpatties and let's not forget about those 5 Super Bowl rings they won way back then when Cavemen played as I am sure some of them will be along to remind us Saints fans of those years gone by LOL. I will be surprised if Tom Coughlan is still around to coach the Giants next season. I think Coughlan's old school style of football has passed him by. Then you have the Raiders. I think Dennis Allen is safe only because we talking about the Raiders. Who they going to get to coach? No coach worth anything going there to coach with the history they ha . ...

The Minnesota Vikings have fired coach Leslie Frazier a day after they wrapped up a 5-10-1 season.
When Leslie Frazier addressed the media following Sunday's season finale, his foremost explanation for the Vikings' disappointing season was lack of stability at quarterback.
Hmmm. Leslie Frazier was a successful defensive coach and coordinator before he was a Head Coach. He's looking for a job. Know any teams that could use a good DC? Like any that have to face Colin Kaepernick this weekend? .

The Vikings have fired Leslie Frazier. Penn State Head Coach Bill O'Brien could be a candidate for that job in Minnesota.
In a world of instant gratification, NFL organizations are the epitome of the issue. They want to win and win now and tremendous investments are made in the hopes of achieving that goal. Yesterday, marked the conclusion of the season for any teams that did not make the playoffs. Consequently, NFL teams began the coaching carousel once again. Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins and Leslie Frazier of the Minnesota Vikings were both fired today. However, they were not the first. Sunday evening an announcement was made that Rob Chudzinski would be fired as the Browns Head Coach after a 4-12 record in just ONE season. NFL organizations need to be reminded, there is no magic bullet. Success is a process that takes time and discipline on the part of stakeholders. It was great to see the New York Jets make an announcement you don't hear about very often at all. They chose to retain their Head Coach Rex Ryan who went to AFC Championship games in each of his first two seasons but has since gone 8-8, 6 ...
Jim Schwartz, Leslie Frazier, Rod Chudzinski, Mike Shannahan & Greg Schiano have been let go. Very tough day for many families in the NFL.

BREAKING NEWS: Leslie Frazier has been fired by the MN Vikings! Good news or bad news?
One of the most infamous days in the NFL calendar year is dubbed "Black Monday," the day following the end of the regular season when multiple coaches are annually fired. The Cleveland Browns got a jump on the action by firing Rob Chudzinski on Sunday night following just one season. Not long after business hours began on the East Coast, the Minnesota Vikings' Leslie Frazier, the Washington Redskins' Mike Shanahan, the Detroit Lions' Jim Schwartz and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Greg Schiano joined the unemployement line. The status of Joe Philbin with the Miami Dolphins and Mike Munchak with the Tennessee Titans remains up in the air. Full story:
The Bears need to hire Leslie Frazier for def. cooddinator
For a Head Coach I'd be ok with Lovie Smith, Mike Zimmer, Jack Del Rio just off the top of my head. I wouldn't want Leslie Frazier as a HC but I'd let him run my defense.
The list of NFL Head Coaches that have been fired thus far includes: Cleveland's Rob Chudzinski, Minnesota's Leslie Frazier, Greg Schiano from the Bucs, Mike Shanahan from Washington, and Jim Schwartz from the Lions. Your thoughts on the firings?

Jim Schwartz, Greg Schiano, Mike Shannahan, Leslie Frazier and Rod Chudzinski all fired today. Who deserved to lose their jobs? Who did not get a fair shake?
Black Monday; Gary Kubiak was already let go by Texans earlier this season. The axe fell on Rob Chudzinski, Leslie Frazier, Mike Shanahan, Greg Schiano and Jim Schwartz. How many more are going? It is the coaching business, some owners need more patience? Lovie Smith is the top man on my list of the Browns, Vikings, Redskins, Buccaneers, Lions and Texans (while Penn State Football coach Bill O'Brien is a close second). Who else gets one of these jobs? Hue Jackson and Mike Zimmer are a couple of coaches our Cincinnati Bengals could lose (the price of success, I will take it!!!...
Lovie Smith: W10 L6 (10 - 6) Why would you fire a coach that got you 10 wins in the NFL? Marc Trestman: W8 L8 (8 - 8 ) Way to go Bears!!! p.s. Leslie Frazier. Not ready to be a Head Coach in the NFL.

Argus Leader - Vikings fire Leslie Frazier after three seasons
Now that the Minnesota Vikings got rid of Leslie Frazier, who do you think would be a good replacement?
New Bears defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Let's bring him back to Chicago.
Two coaches were fired today Leslie Frazier and Mike Shannon. Many more on the hot seat. Funny listening to the television guys yesterday. I disagree the Rams need a quarterback, offense line, running back, deep threat wide receiver, corner back, fire Les Sneed, special teams coach and the offensive coach. 7-9 doesn't cut it. Stan Kronecke doesn't want winning product then we shouldn't be to upset with losing team.
Leslie Frazier is no longer the Vikings Head Coach..He came into a total mess of undisciplined players and turned that around into players we could be proud of.. He can hold his head up for that effort alone.
Mike Shanahan (Redskins) and Leslie Frazier (Vikings) have both been fired. Who would be the best replacement for them?

Leslie Frazier was fired after going 20-32-1 as Head Coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Frazier was 5-10-1 in 2013 after riding running back Adrian Peterson to the playoffs in 2012, when Peterson topped 2,000 yards rushing.
So Spielman fired Leslie Frazier and no one fires Spielman? Great, lets suck again next year. . Leslie wasn't the problem.
Thank you Leslie Frazier! You're a class act and wish you well!! I would like to see how other NFL coaches would fair with Ponder, Cassel and Freeman as their QB options.
I feel bad for Leslie Frazier, but this is what i've wanted for awhile!
Mike Shanahan, gone. Rob Chudzinski, gone. Leslie Frazier, gone. Who'll be next to get the axe today? My money's on Dennis Allen or Jim Schwartz...
It's official. The Minnesota Vikings have fired Head Coach Leslie Frazier. What do you think of the move?
Um, I'll take Leslie Frazier as a defense coordinator of the Bears! uz our D is TERRIBLE!
I think Leslie Frazier is a great coach. Vikings need a new QB more than they need a new Head Coach.
The Vikings have fired Head Coach Leslie Frazier
Leslie Frazier is officially out as the Minnesota Vikings' coach, but he was doomed from the start by poor personnel choices and QB play.
Leslie Frazier fired. I can't believe the gm Spielman is not being held accountable for the players on the field. today, most of the talking heads are saying the firing of Frazier is a mistake. I agree.
Although Leslie Frazier most certainly was doomed to lose his job after this season, it's sad to see such a class act lose his job.
coach firings should go down like how a tribute gets whacked in Hunger Games. Cannon shot, giant picture of Leslie Frazier in sky...
The Vikings finally fired Leslie Frazier, might we pray that Christian Ponder be next. If only we can be so lucky.
Wow everybody's getting fired first Leslie Frazier and now Mike Shanahan
BREAKING NEWS: Leslie Frazier and Mike Shanahan have both been fired and will no longer be coaching the Vikings and Redskins
Leslie Frazier got fired this morning. ..they didn't waste no time giving him his pink slip...only two black coaches left...it's hard out here Mr.Luther King where u at...lol!
SEE YA...Leslie Frazier & Bill Musgrave. Let's hope the next Vikings Head Coach and OC can do better, starting with a QB.
Leslie Frazier fired by Minnesota Vikings. A press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Seriously disappointed that Leslie Frazier was fired. I just don't see how that helps the team going forward. I swear to God, if the Vikings fired Leslie Frazier only to hire Jack Del Rio, I am through with this team. I hope Adrian Peterson requests a trade off the team. Meanwhile, Rick Spielman, who signed both Ponder and Josh Freeman while ignoring depth on defense and allowed Antione Winfield to walk gets to keep his job and hire a new coach. So now the Vikings are in trouble for at least 3 years. I hate football.
Farewell to Leslie Frazier. Sad to see that he's the 'fall guy' for the team's awful management of their quarterbacks & entire roster.
THIS JUST IN: Vikings fire Head Coach Leslie Frazier after 5-10-1 season. Frazier was 21-32-1 in 4 seasons in Minnesota.
Leslie Frazier is out!!! Time to bring in a new coach and a new QB! Im thinking Jack Del Rio and Teddy Bridgewater sound like great choices!
So... It's Official. Leslie Frazier has been fired by the Vikings. DID ANYONE NOT SEE THIS COMING?
The Leslie Frazier Era is over in Minnesota, as the Minnesota Vikings fired their Head Coach of three plus seasons this morning. More details here:
It's a good day goodbye Leslie Frazier hopefully Bill Musgrave as well
Black Monday in Minnesota. Leslie Frazier is a really good man. I really hate to see someone like him go and not succeed. But it's how the NFL works. Really there hasn't been a good Head Coach in Minnesota since Uncle Charlie. (Jerry Burns). It was great to see the great one Bud Grant yesterday. It is hard to blame executive management as it has changed as many times as the coaches if not more. But look at this list---Brad Childress, Mike Tice, Denny Green, Les Steckel, Norm Van Brocklin. (Really not far to include Norm) and then there is Bud Grant and Jerry Burns. Even these two couldn't produce a Super Bowl win. So, maybe we are due for another great coach. But one thing is for certain, the new one is going to have to come in here with a major strategy to fix it. New Quarterback, strength two positions in the Offensive line. I know I harp but LoadHolt needs to go somewhere else. Matt Kalil better get stronger. Is Jared coming back? I hope so, but I also doubt it. The Defensive needs one or two refrigera ...
Left for work to Leslie Frazier getting fired, arrive to work 20 minutes later to Mike Shanhan getting fired
Mike Shanahan, Leslie Frazier and Rob Chudzinski have been fired. I hope Detroit follows suit and fires Schwartz!
Well it's official the Minnesota Vikings fired Leslie Frazier.
Well it's official Leslie Frazier has been fired. Who would you like to see as our next coach? Keep in mind that Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher are not realistic answers. Personally, I'm hoping for Mike Shannahan. I know his team underachieved worse than the purple this year, but history has shown us that it is nearly impossible to succeed with Dan Snyder as your owner.
The the Minnesota Vikings have fired coach Leslie Frazier, one day after the team played its last game in the Minneapolis Metrodome.
Ok so the Bears can fire Mel Tucker and hire Leslie Frazier as their new DC.
According to ESPN, the Minnesota Vikings have fired Leslie Frazier.
The Bears fired Rob Chudzinski, and the Vikings fired Leslie Frazier. Let's see what else Black Monday has in store for NFL Coaches.
Leslie Frazier has been fired. Thank you Minnesota Vikings. Now, get a quarterback smh Christian Ponder? Smh c'mon man.
Dear Washington Redskins, Maybe you should hit Leslie Frazier or Lovie Smith up. Just a thought... Smdh!
Breaking news. the Minnesota Vikings just fired coach Leslie Frazier after only three seasons. -skittles24
Well, today I fully anticipate that Jim Schwartz and Leslie Frazier will join Rob Chudzinski on the unemployed coaches list. I strongly favor replacing them with Bobby Ross for the Lions, Bud Grant for the Vikings and Sam Rutigliano for the Browns. I believe they are all available at this point.
The Vikes gave up a league worst 480 points this season. Everyone in charge of the defense needs to be fired tomorrow, including defensive minded Head Coach Leslie Frazier. While your at it, get Musgrave out of here too. There is no reason why Patterson couldn't run go routes, slants, screens and get carries early in the season, I mean we were starting Jerome Simpson over him! Really!?!? Start Fresh. Mike Zimmer would be at the top of my list for Head Coach.
The Minnesota Vikings have done a 180 this season, and it appears Head Coach Leslie Frazier will suffer the consequences. Frazier will be fired as the Vikings' Head Coach Monday, according to Jay G...
Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier should be getting fired by the week end. The move needs to come soon.
Vikings edge Lions in Metrodome finale Associated Press MINNEAPOLIS -- As the Minnesota Vikings filed into their locker room at the Metrodome for the last time, Leslie Frazier was there to greet them with a handshake and a hug. The Vikings picked up one more victory at the soon-to-be-demolished stadium, perhaps a parting gift for the popular coach. Fittingly, the Detroit Lions left on the losing end. Cordarrelle Patterson scored two touchdowns, including the go-ahead catch in the end zone in the fourth quarter, and the Vikings beat the Lions 14-13 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the Metrodome's 32 seasons. From Patterson to Adrian Peterson, player after player passionately voiced their support for Frazier, whose record over three-plus years is 21-33-1. Peterson promised to make his plea directly to the owners on Monday. Frazier urged the front office to bring him and his staff back. "I just have a lot of belief in my abilities as a coach and have a lot of belief in the guys on our team and a lot ...
I just heard on the news that The Vikings management called the shots on who the starting QB was this season. And management wanted Christian Ponder. So Leslie Frazier will lose his job because of Rick Spielman & the Wilf's smh
FOX Sports reported Sunday morning that Vikings coach Leslie Frazier will be fired.
Last Vikings game in the Metrodome... Big day today. (Also the end to Leslie Frazier as Vikes Head Coach and any threat of Christian Ponder as QB... Hopefully).
Today I hope somebody looses control of they car at the metrodome ,hop a few seats, drive on to the field and run over Leslie Frazier.o and Christian Ponder to
The league is so tough, Leslie Frazier will probably get fired for not winning with Christian Ponder?!
Updating you on the Nine Head Coaches on the hot seat today. 1. Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay (11-20) Honestly I think that Greg Schiano is staying in TB. I don't see how they can fire him. I go by the three year test and as bad as a reputation he has obtained from the fans, he could succeed in this league. Buccaneers started out 0-8, Gerald McCoy asked for fewer stunts and they went 4-3 down the stretch of the season. 2. Mike Shanahan, Washington (170-137) I believe it's time that the Shanahan era in Washington is over. However, how can he bench RG3 and be fired? Might get one more go around, even though he doesn't deserve it. 24-39 in the Washington Era? No thanks. 3. Dennis Allen, Oakland (8-23) I believe the gig is up for the youngest Head Coach in the game. I think Allen is a good coach, and should be able to get a gig down the road but right now, Oakland is cycling for coaches. Doesn't even give them a chance. They once fired Hue Jackson after an 8-8 season. Allen is toast. 4. Leslie Frazier, Minnesota (2 ...
Leslie Frazier asked between Ponder and Dalton: "We targeted Christian and it worked out fine. He was our guy... Andy's do…
Guys I think should be fired on Monday: Thomas Dimitroff, Jason Garrett, Jim Schwartz, Leslie Frazier, Greg Schiano, Mike Shanahan.
With Kiffen most likely to get fired, Marinelli possibly joining Lovie when he gets new HC job, Dallas likely to pursue Leslie Frazier...
Via Calvin Watkins, ESPNDallas - If Monte Kiffin retires or is fired at season's end, finding his replacement might not be on the staff. Defensive line coach Rod Marinelli could leave and join Lovie Smith as his defensive coordinator if the former Bears coach gets a Head Coaching gig. Leon Lett could slide over and become the new Cowboys' defensive line coach. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier, who is under fire for his team's struggles, might not be retained. Frazier should get a strong look as the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys should changes occur with him. Frazier was a defensive backs coach under Tony Dungy, who employed a semblance of the Tampa 2 scheme with the Colts.
Leslie Frazier: 'Speculation has been a distraction'

Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier says the uncertainty of his future distracted players during the week leading up to Minnesota's loss at Cincinnati.
Leslie Frazier said Matt Cassel will be the starter for the season finale.
Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier reveals that Matt Cassel will continue to be his side's starting quarterback in the final week of the season.
Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said that QB Matt Cassel would start the season finale against the Detroit Lions Sunday, with Christian Ponder serving as the backup. Cassel had his worst performance this season this past Sunday in a 42-14 loss at Cincinnati. He went 13 of 27 for 114 yards
Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier is trying to concentrate on winning the last game of the season, not the status of his job.
8. Minnesota Vikings Texas A&M Johnny Manziel There are so many variables with this projection. Could we see Manziel playing for Leslie Frazier? Frankly … no. (We’d be curious as heck how it would play about, but it’s tough to picture.) But all the guts and athleticism that GM Rick Spielman favored in Christian Ponder can be found in Manziel — along with much more natural talent — that would make Vikings fans hearken back to the days of Fran Tarkenton. Whom, some have suggested, Manziel might be the second coming of. A Manziel-Adrian Peterson-Cordarelle Patterson offense would be fun heaped upon gratuitous fun, would it not? This is from Yahoo Mock draft dated 12/19
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said on Monday that the Vikings plan to stick with their current pecking order at quarterback, starting Matt Cassel on Sunday against the Detroit Lions and keeping Christian Ponder active as his backup.
Head Coaches who are "dead" after this season: Jim Schwartz, Mike Shannahan, Leslie Frazier, Jason Garrett* (Pending)
Leslie Frazier is toast. What about Lovie Smith to Minnesota?
Marvin Lewis and Leslie Frazier, bosom buddies before and after it went bad in Cincinnati:
holy coaching hot seats. they are heating up: Jason Garrett, Jim Schwartz, Leslie Frazier, Mike Munchak, Tom Coughlin, Mike Shannahan, Rex Ryan, Gary Kubiak already got the axe in Houston, and Chip Kelley, and Jim Harbaugh may head back to college coaching after this season is all said and done too. WOW
Dear Zygi and Mark Wilf. Please don't fire Leslie Frazier. .This has just been one of those tough years. However if u do fire Frazier please go and get Lovie Smith.
The Minnesota Vikings have struggled mightily all season long, and it’s time for some changes. Head Coach Leslie Frazier is expected to be fired at the conclusion of the 2013 season, but he’s not the only one that could be moving...
Vikings say that the chances of HC Leslie Frazier returning for a 4th season is slim, but GM Rick Spielman will return next season, according to reports. -Jon
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Philadelphia Eagles were soaring after a big win in the snow the week before. This game was inside. Adrian Peterson was missing. The stage was set for another step toward the playoffs. Well, Matt Cassel and the Minnesota Vikings just made the flight path a bit bumpier. Cassel passed for two touchdowns and 382 yards, the most by a Minnesota quarterback since Brett Favre was here, and ran for another score to lead the injury-depleted Vikings to a 48-30 victory that snapped a five-game winning streak by the Eagles. "I don't think you can ever count out our players. We've had some difficult moments this season, for sure, but I always believed," coach Leslie Frazier said. "Even early in the week I said, 'This game really doesn't have to be this close,' except for the fact that we were going with so many guys in backup roles." With Peterson and Toby Gerhart out, third-stringer Matt Asiata rushed for his first three career touchdowns. Greg Jennings caught a career-high 11 passes for 163 yards. ...
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings team president Mark Wilf would not comment on the futures of general manager Rick Spielman or coach Leslie Frazier after the team's 48-30 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, saying the team's owners were "just going to enjoy the win and try to win out the...
Lovie Smith, Leslie Frazier if he gets fired, Piccolo Pete (same production for way cheaper), Dave Aranda
Leslie Frazier and president Mark Wilf exchange a big hug. Further proof they're not tanking for Teddy or anyone else.
.and with that game, we can all collectively thank Rick Spielman and Leslie Frazier for handing the starting quarterback job to Christian Ponder before the season started (and not allowing an open competition for the job). Thanks guys. Kevin, Jared, Adrian and Greg really appreciate it.
Report: Vikings express interest in Penn State coach Bill O'Brien The Minnesota Vikings entered Sunday with three games left in their season, but that doesn't mean club executives haven't started looking for their next coach. One of the first calls reportedly went to Penn State coach Bill O'Brien. With the Vikings sitting at 3-9-1 and many expecting Leslie Frazier to be let go after the year, O'Brien was approached by the team, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. O'Brien, Offensive Coordinator with the New England Patriots before being hired by Penn State in 2012, had interviews with the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns about their Head Coachings jobs after last season. This time the Vikings and Houston Texans have checked in with O'Brien, according to La Canfora. The report says that O'Brien felt obligated to remain at Penn State for a second season but that his relationship with school officials has become more strained. The NFL Network, meanwhile, reported that Vikings general manager ...
An interesting morning on the pregame shows. ESPN's Ed Werder says the Packers believe Aaron Rodgers will play next Sunday against Steelers. ESPN's Chris Mortenson says Mike McCarthy is among the NFL coaches on Texas's wish list to replace Mack Brown. Our friend Aaron Nagler notes that McCarthy's contract still has 2 years on it. Finally, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Silver report that Vikings coach Leslie Frazier and QB Christian Ponder likely are gone after the season, but that they won't trade RB Adrian Peterson. They want Peterson to open their new stadium.
The end appears to be near for Leslie Frazier and the Minnesota Vikings. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay Morning" that the prospects of Frazier returning in 2014 are said to be "grim," according to team sources and sources familiar with ownership's thinking. Frazier is well-liked by ownership, but it's unlikely to be enough to dissuade the 3-9-1 Vikings from going in another direction after the season. Rapoport has been told Minnesota will target a young coach -- likely a current NFL assistant -- with "star power." That's bad news for veteran coaches looking for a big chair. Former Bears coach Lovie Smith should get a call, according to Rapoport, but the team is less likely to target a current NFL Head Coach or college coach. Rapoport reports Vikings general manager Rick Spielman will be back next year, according to sources familiar with the thinking of the team's brass. The Vikings' quarterback situation provides further intrigue. According to Rapoport, the "c ...
