rlando Pirates won the Carling Black Label Cup 6-5 on penalties against Kaizer Chiefs at Soccer City on Saturday. Ninety minutes produced a goalless draw, with Chiefs' George Maluleka missing a penalty in regulation time, as well as in the marathon shoot-out. Thabo Matlaba delivered the decisive blow from the spot to claim honours and bragging rights for the Nedbank Cup holders. Both teams, though, sustained injury scares, as Kingston Nkhatha and Happy Jele failed to complete the pre-season contest. In a dull derby, Oupa Manyisa tried to liven up affairs with a long-range shot in the 12th minute. However, Pirates' reigning player of the season dragged his attempt wide. Chiefs, who won the event last year, then suffered a setback midway through the opening stanza, as striker Nkhatha picked up a knock after colliding heavily with Bucs goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa. The Zimbabwean hobbled off the field and was replaced by Amakhosi returnee Siphelele Mthembu. The Sea Robbers proceeded to dictate affairs, as Matlaba ...

Kingston Nkhatha (born 27 October 1985) is a Zimbabwean footballer who plays as a striker for Kaizer Chiefs in the South African Premier Soccer League and Zimbabwe .[1] Kaizer Chiefs He joined Chiefs in July 2012 under new coach Stuart Baxter . He made his league debut on 11 August 2012 in a 6-0 win over AmaZulu . He scored the second goal on debut in the 42nd minute. [citation needed ] He went on to score eight goals in 24 matches for the 2012-13 season. [2] Nkhatha urged fans to stop booing him or other players when fans started to boo him towards the end of the 2012-13 and the beginning of the 2013-14 season. He said "As a professional, you cannot take these things to heart otherwise they will destroy you. But I still ask our fans to stop doing it. It is not good for the team." [3] He scored his first goal of the 2013-14 as an equaliser in the Soweto Derby to silence critics. He also started off the 2014 Caf Champions League campaign with a brace in a 3-0 win over Black Africa on 8 February 2014. The f ...
ans from Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are making their votes in the millions, and it appears that both teams' starting-11s are nearing completion. However, there are some major omissions and inclusions so far in the popular vote. Kaizer Chiefs' Player of the Season for 2013/14, Willard Katsande, has once again dropped to the bench. This was after George Maluleka moved close to 5000 votes ahead of him in the selection. Generally, Chiefs' line-up remains consistent with the majority of the first-11 from last season making the final cut up to now. Bernard Parker won't be available for the CBL Cup because of injury, which means Katlego Mphela is pencilled in to start. Knowledge Musona is the leading Chiefs striker in the votes, however his deal has expired with Chiefs, meaning he will be ineligible to play come late July. Nonetheless, the Glamour Boys management are exploring the possibility of extending his deal which could mean he may yet feature. If Musona doesn't return, Kingston Nkhatha will lead th ...
AmaKhosi fans are expecting to see new players next season, and Motaung highlighted that the club already know their targets for the new season Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has confirmed that the club could reveal their targets for this winter transfer window by next week. The Soweto giants have played their cards close to their chest recently, with Knowledge Musona the only player they've publicly shown interest in. Speaking on Metro FM on Friday night, Motaung said AmaKhosi fans shouldn't expect big name players next season, as the technical team wants to promote a few young players from their development. The Naturena outfit wanted to sign Mamelodi Sundowns striker Edward Manqele at the beginning of the year, but they haven't returned with a fresh bid. Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter said that they will be focusing on reinforcing their front line with two or three new faces to try and challenge for honours next season. AmaKhosi have Kingston Nkhatha, Katlego Mphela, Mathew Rusike and Bernard ...
Goals from Kingston Nkhatha, Tefu Mashamaite and Katlego Mphela gave Kaizer Chiefs a 3-0 win over AmaZulu at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday. The win was Chiefs’ second straight victory but it came too late after abdicating their PSL crown on the penultimate day of the season on May 6 to Mamelodi Sundowns. Chiefs ended in second place on 63 points, two behind Sundowns who drew 1-1 on the same date away at Maritzburg United. AmaZulu meanwhile end the season outside the top eight in ninth place after failing to build on their 1-0 win over demoted Golden Arrows five days ago in their penultimate League game of the season. Chiefs’ tails were high and sent a message of intent to complete back- to-back PSL wins over AmaZulu, whom they beat 4-1 away last December. Amakhosi threatened as early as the ninth minute when Siphiwe Tshabalala's free-kick was cleared by the AmaZulu defenders. Two minutes later, Chiefs took the lead through Nkhatha when his right- footed shot sailed past AmaZulu goalkeeper Aubrey Ma ...

Lebese fires Chiefs into semis Nedbank Cup quarter-finals Print this article Kaizer Chiefs booked their place in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Supersport United on Saturday afternoon. Man of the Match George Lebese ignited a dull contest with a late brace at Soccer City. Chiefs dominated possession from the onset and threatened first, as Tefu Mashamaite headed a Siphiwe Tshabalala corner just wide on eight minutes after Kingston Nkhatha stretched Edwin Gyimah down the left flank. Tshabalala tried his luck in the 23rd minute but his low shot on the angle was comfortably dealt with by goalkeeper Ronwen Williams. Around the half-hour mark, United striker Bradley Grobler directed a header on goal off a long throw-in but Itumeleng Khune was well positioned to gather. Grobler then flashed an effort wide of the target from range moments before the interval. The second period was similarly lacklustre, although the fans made their presence felt in the 53rd minute when ex-Amakhosi star Jabu Mahhla ...

Chiefs.(0) 0 Downs.(0) 1 Mamelodi Sundowns closed in on league log leaders, Kaizer Chiefs after beating them 1-0 at the most talked about match of the weekend . A Teko Modise goal in the 76th minute snatched the win for The Brazilians at FNB Stadium to take Downs level on points with Chiefs at the top of the log. Both sides now sit on 52 points but Chiefs have one game in hand over Sundowns. The visiting Sundowns controlled the opening 15 minutes of the affair and asked lots of questions of the Chiefs defence, which stood firm despite some powerful running from the visitors Hlompho Kekana and Lebogang Mokoena had some early attempts at goal from long range and Mokoena’s shot tested Itumeleng Khune who had to tip the ball over the crossbar for a corner. Chiefs came close in the 16th minute when Siphiwe Tshabalala’s dangerous cross was tipped away by Kennedy Mweene with Kingston Nkhatha in close proximity. On the stroke of half time Chiefs almost took the lead when George Lebese stung the fingers of Ken ...

Baxter was never worried Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter came to his players’ defence and explained the slow start in their 2-0 Absa Premiership win over Golden Arrows on Wednesday night. According to the Football411.com website, it was stuttering opening 45 minutes for Chiefs in front of goal, but second half goals from Erick Mathoho and Kingston Nkhatha saw them claim all three points on the night. Baxter admits there were a lot of factors going against his team on the night, but highlighted Chiefs’ busy schedule which has seen them in action almost every three days for the last week as they play catch-up in the league. Baxter, though, said he was never any doubt that his team would pick up the win on the night and praised his players for their performance. “Arrows gave certain resistance, the pitch was a little bit difficult to master and you have to remember we are coming back from a busy schedule and it is not easy, and playing against a team that is doing its best to try and stop you playing ...
Kingston Nkhatha currently has to deal with a section of the Kaizer Chiefs fans booing him during matches, but he is not the first.

What makes Baxter the BEST! Stuart Baxter is not new in South African football. Before he became the head coach of Kaizer Chiefs,he coached Bafana Bafana in 2004 and 2005. Baxter, who replaced the sacked Serb Vladimir Vermezovic after a string of poor results at Naturena, already had an idea of South African culture, style of play and the expectations from the supporters. The British born is brave and believes in his philosophy. He selects his team based on what he believes in and the potential that he sees in a player. The 60-year-old English man is not the one to be pushed around. He doesn’t allow fans to interfere with his team selection. When he joined Kaizer Chiefs,Lucky Baloyi was a CDM(Central Defensive Midfielder),and was doing well. Baxter made it very clear that he was not happy with his weight, and he used Willard Katsande - an unknown bench-warmer from Ajax Cape Town and turned him into a key player. Speaking of a coach who is not easily shaken,Kingston Nkhatha - who has been a victim of boo boys ...
Kaizer Chiefs Kingston Nkhatha Nedbank Cup Kaizer Chiefs striker, Kingston Nkhatha, will not be available to face his former club, Black Leopards, this weekend, due to a one-match suspension. The Zimbabwean forward, who joined Chiefs from Lidoda Duvha in 2012, picked up his fourth yellow card of the season in the 3-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic, meaning that he is suspended for this weekend’s Nedbank Cup tie. Nkhatha has been in fine form for the Amakhosi of late, grabbing four goals in his last four games, and Stuart Baxter will no doubt be disappointed to not have him available. This weekend’s tie is Chiefs’ first of their Nedbank title defence after they won the trophy last season, and they will keen to get off to a confident start against their NFD opponents, Leopards. However, Baxter could opt to, once again, give some of his more high profile players a rest on Sunday as he keeps one eye on the PSL and Caf Champions League trophies.
Goitse Bogatsu wrote: "I can see we (Kaizer Chiefs Supporters) are all rejoicing and celebrating all at the same time, but let's get a draw or a lose you will here Stuart Baxter doesn't have a plan and Kingston Nkhatha should be on the bench... let's just accept the things we cannot change and enjoy when the sun shines."

Baxter: Why I believe in Nkhatha Feb 18, 2014 News, Sports Free Zimbabwe Classifieds! Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has explained why he never lost faith in Kingston Nkhatha when he was relentlessly booed. The Zimbabwean has this season scored eight goals in 13 starts in all competitions, including one against Black Africa over the weekend as Amakhosi progressed to the first round of the Caf Champions League after winning 4-1 on aggregate. For Baxter, though, it goes back to 11 August 2012 – the day many will remember as one when Bernard Parker scored four goals against a hapless AmaZulu at Moses Mabhida Stadium. In Baxter’s own words, Nkhatha was ‘world class’, albeit for just 15 minutes and that, to a large extent, has stood Nkhatha in good stead in terms of team selection. “I have never had any doubts about him. I don’t know if you guys remember when we played AmaZulu and we beat them 6-0. Kingston scored a goal and before then he was getting a lot of stick (from the fans). He was nervo ...

Baxter’s injury crisis Published: Tuesday, 2014/02/18 Stuart Baxter has a fitness headache with his strikers! Kaizer Chiefs need to make final calls on the injured first-choice duo of Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha ahead of their Absa Premiership clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at FNB Stadium tomorrow night (7.30pm). Nkhatha scored but hurt his knee in the 1-1 draw against Black Africa in their Caf Champions League match in Windhoek on Saturday. Parker did not make the trip in order to nurse his ankle injury. Chiefs won the tie 4-1 on aggregate. Baxter is also not certain if recent signing Katlego Mphela is ready to start just yet because he's not match fit, preferring to slowly introduce him from the bench. The team is also assessing defender Morgan Gould (ankle) while left back is still a problem with Tsepo Masilela still not fit to play. Regular right back Siboniso Gaxa played at left back in Chiefs’ 2-2 league draw against Maritzburg United last week. Baxter said: “I’ll see how the situ ...
Chiefs progressed to the second round of the Caf Champions League with a 4-1 aggregate win over Black Africa at the Independence Stadium on Saturday night Kaizer Chiefs travelled to Namibia without some of their stars as they were already holding a three-goal cushion from the first leg played at the FNB Stadium last Saturday. Itumeleng Khune, Bernard Parker, Knowledge Musona and Tefu Mashamaite were all left out of the Chiefs squad, with Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane settling for places on the bench. However, AmaKhosi didn’t struggle with creativity in the middle of the park and were quick to get out of the blocks as early as in the 12 minute when Siyabonga Nkosi whipped in a beautiful cross into the Black Africa’s box, and Kingston Nkhatha made no mistake for his third goal of the tournament. Chiefs were then caught napping at the back, and nearly allowed Black Africa to get the equaliser, but goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse pulled off a great save. As expected, the South African Premier L ...
Kaizer Chiefs have safely landed in Namibia ahead of today afternoon’s Caf Champions League second leg against Black Africa. Stuart Baxter has chosen to leave some of his major players, such as Itumeleng Khune, Bernard Parker, Siboniso Gaxa and Tefu Mashamaite in South Africa for the second leg after they secured a comfortable 3-0 win at home. Goals from Kingston Nkhatha and Mandla Masango gave Chiefs the advantage in the first leg, and the likes of Masango, Matthew Rusike and Reyaad Pieterse are due to be given a run out. The Amakhosi left Mzansi on Friday morning, touching down in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, just a couple of hours later, and have just over 24 hours to prepare for the game. Meanwhile, Supersport United, who play Gaborone United in the CAF Confederation Cup, are also settled in Botswana’s capital prior to their game this weekend. Should Chiefs advance to the next round, they will then face either Liga Muculmana of Mozambique or Madagascar’s CNaPS, while Matsatsantsa will take on ...
Kaizer Chiefs’ preliminary Caf Champions League second leg clash against Namibia’s Black Africa will be a party for fringe players when they’re given an opportunity to prove themselves. Players like Lorenzo Gordinho, Mandla Masango, Siyabonga Nkosi and Matthew Rusike are likely to finish off what Amakhosi started at FNB Stadium last week when they thrashed the Namibians 3-0. This highly anticipated clash, which will determine Amakhosi’s next destination in the competition, will be played at the 15 000-seater Independence Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia. Kingston Nkhatha hammered in a brace while Masango was also on target when they frustrated the adoring Black Africa players. Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, set to depart for Windhoek today with his troops, has indicated to Daily Sun that “your Bernard Parkers of this world” will be rested. Play Mphela with Musona, drop Parker’ Posted: 11 February 2014 Pollen Ndlanya believes that new Kaizer Chiefs striker Katlego Mphela will be better suited playing with Knowledge Musona rather than Bernard Parker. With Lehlohonolo Majoro on the sidelines after signing a pre-contract with Orlando Pirates, the Amakhosi have now four strikers to choose from in Mphela, Musona, Parker and Kingston Nkhatha. It leaves Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter with a welcome selection headache, but Ndlanya says if it were up to him, Musona and Mphela would start together. “They have four good strikers that can be used depending on how Kaizer Chiefs approach a particular match,” ‘Trompies’ tells KickOff.com. “You have Parker, who is not a target-man, but someone who likes to drift wide and come deep. Musona is relatively similar to Parker – he also likes to come from deep and is also suited to the second striker role. Nkhatha, like Mphela, is a strong target-man who likes to be inside the box. "If I must choose the ...
Kingston Nkhatha,Mandla Masango and George Maluleka had a great game. We missed too many chances but applause to the boys.
Chiefs get CAF campaign off to winning start Kaizer Chiefs have got their Caf Champions League campaign off to an impressive start following their 3-0 win over Namibian side Black Africa at Soccer City Stadium. Mandla Masango was first on the scoresheet, while Kingston Nkhatha contributed a brace to give the Glamour Boys a comfortable win. Masango put Chiefs ahead in the 18th minute benefitting from a cross by Knowledge Musona. Nkhatha made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute beating Subeb from outside the box. The score remained 2-0 at the interval. Amakhosi continued to create chances in the second stanza, but only added one more goal. Nkhatha finally got the third in the 85th minute heading over a rushing Subeb to give Chiefs a comfortable lead heading to the second leg. The second leg is scheduled at Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek on February 15. Kaizer Chiefs: Khune; Moleko, Mathoho, Mashamaite, Gaxa, Maluleka, Nkosi, Masango (Tshabalala 73’), Lebese (Rusike 46’), Musona (Parker 68’), Nkhatha Black Afric ...

Moleko starts for Chiefs Posted: 5 February 2014 Time: 01:16 pm Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter is set to hand Kgotso Moleko his first start of the season when the log leaders take on Supersport United tonight. Amakhosi have a tricky selection dilemma at left-back following an injury to Tsepo Masilela and the departure of Keegan Ritchie to SK Slavia Prague. KickOff.com can reveal that Moleko is in line to play his first match of the season, while Siboniso Gaxa is likely to fill the void at left-back. Baxter had in fact thought of playing the infamous three centre-backs – Mulomowandau Mathoho, Morgan Gould and Tefu Mashamaite – but has opted instead to go with Moleko at right-back and Gaxa at left-back, with Gould and Mashamaite in central defence. Meanwhile, Kingston Nkhatha, who suffered a concussion against Moroka Swallows on January 31 at Dobsonville Stadium, will miss the match as he is being rested. However, Chiefs welcome back Bernard Parker, who missed the match against the Dube Birds as a pr ...

Kingston Nkhatha scored the opening goal after just three minutes, finishing past Greg Etafia after being played in by Siphiwe Tshabalala. Knowledge Musona then got the second after the break courtesy of a sublime chip. Amakhosi were all over the Dube Birds in the initial stages and it came as no surprise when Nkhatha drew first blood as early as the third minute. The Zimbabwean marksman benefitted from a great pass from Shabba and kept his cool to shoot past the goalie. Moments later, Shabba could have put Chiefs further ahead when he beat two defenders as he made his way to the box, but his shot was just wide with Etafia at his mercy. Swallows finally got going in the 18th minute when they were awarded a free kick but Dikgang Mabalane's attempt was way over the ba ...

Kaizer Chiefs came into this clash eight points clear of second placed Mamelodi Sundowns having recorded seven straight wins in the process. The defending champions started the game like a house on fire and made their intentions very clear inside the opening five minutes when Siphiwe Tshabalala played a delightful through ball to Kingston Nkhatha who made no mistake with only Greg Etafia to beat. Tshabalala and Mashamaite joined the rest of their teammates from the Bafana camp on Tuesday, but Baxter has opted for Mululeka and Mathoho respectively Stuart Baxter has made three changes to his usual starting line-up, as Kaizer Chiefs take on Mamelodi Sundowns at the Loftus Stadium tonight. Tefu Mashamaite has been rested for this clash, and his place has been taken by Erick Mathoho who will partner Morgan Gould at centre-back position. Siphiwe Tshabalala has also made way for George Maluleka, who was signed earlier this month from Supersport United. He is expected to play the attacking role in front of Willard Katsade. Reneilwe Letsholonyane will not start this clash either despite being deemed fit to face the Brazilians, as Baxter has opted for three attackers upfront, with Kingston Nkhatha expected to partner Knowledge Musona while Bernard Parker will operate from deep. Sundowns starting line-up: Mweene, Schut, Kekana, Modise, Billiat, Zungu, Mashaba, Moon, Laffor, Arendse and Mashego. Chiefs starti ...

Musona excited for Champions League Posted: 15 January 2014 Time: 10:57 am Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is looking forward to making his Caf Champions League debut when Amakhosi take on Namibian outfit Black Africa FC next month. The clubs will contest a preliminary round first leg tie from 7-9 February, with the return duel scheduled for the following week. “It will be my first time playing in the Champions League, and I am looking forward to the challenge of competing outside of the PSL again,” Musona tells KickOff.com. “It is an opportunity for me to express myself outside of my usual environment, and to challenge myself against different opposition,” adds the 23-year-old, who is on loan at Chiefs from German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim. With Lehlohonolo Majoro deemed surplus to requirements at the club according to coach Stuart Baxter, and CAF player registration closing today, the Glamour Boys now only have Musona, Bernard Parker and Kingston Nkhatha to look to in the strikers’ dep ...
Claim: Zimbabwe Have Spain Chemistry Zimbabwe are one of the 16 teams in South Africa pencilled in to take part in the 2014 Chan tournament. Not many of the players in the current set-up will be known to local fans as Chan only allows players who play in their country of birth to take part. Read: Use Your Brain, Chan's Pointless This means the strong contingent of locally-based Zimbabwean players like Knowledge Musona, Kingston Nkhatha, Esrom Nyandoro, Tapuwa Kapini, Washington Arubi, Cuthbert Malajila, Denver Mukamba, Khama Billiat, Carlington Nyadombo and Onismor Bhasera won't be available to the Warriors. Nonetheless, despite the absence of some of their star performers, some leading figures in Zimbabwe football believe the team have every chance of going all the way to the final on February 1 at Cape Town Stadium. The Ian Gorowa-coached side's first test comes in the form of a clash with North African giants, Morocco, on Sunday (January 12). A former assistant coach to the Zimbabwe national footba ...
There is nothing more Majoro can do at Kaizer Chiefs When Stuart Baxter came in as the head coach, the top striker at Chiefs was Majoro, however, Baxter insisted that everyone will start on a clean-slate, and spots were up for grabs. History was deleted. In a meantime, the Amakhosi bought new strikers into the setup, and the competition got underway. It is quite understable for a new coach to *** his players according to what they produce under him, and Majoro had no problem with that. He understood. I did too (I reckoned Majoro deserved to start ahead of the then newcomer Kingston Nkhatha, with respect to his status as the club’s top scorer at the time and I’m sure Lehlohonolo thought along similar lines). However, Nkhatha caught the attention of the Briton, and he forged a stable and healthy partnership with the now exuberated Benard Parker who fired blanks the previous season before the new coach landed down South of Africa. The new coach managed the situation ideally, and no one found anything ...

Tsepo Masilela&Willard Katsande had reached and agreed with Kaizer Chiefs to extend their stay at Naturena and they are expected to sign new deals beforeChristmas break. My Question:Will Chiefs offer Kingston Nkhatha new deal or they'll let him go for free?
LEHLOGONOLO MAJORO IS LEAVING CHIEFS: The Bafana striker has had a frustrating season at the Naturena club as Knowledge Musona and Kingston Nkhatha continue to play ahead of him and he has decided against renewing his contract with the PSL champions when it comes to an end in June 2014. The former AmaZulu forward has clearly not been happy for months following his limited game time under coach Stuart Baxter. And despite being amongst the club’s top goalscorers last season, Majoro continues to play second fiddle to Kingston Nkhatha and first choice striker Knowledge Musona. Majoro’s agent Tim Sukazi confirmed to the media that the player will not renew his contract with AmaKhosi although he couldn’t confirm if there are any offers on the table for the 27-year-old player. Majoro is linked to Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns, but Matsatsantsa could have an advantage over their neighbours as they are allowed to start signing players due to their Caf Confederations Cup involvement. However, the tw ...

No place for Mozambican Sonito at Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs have handed Mozambican international forward Apson David “Sonito” Majante a trial, Goal can confirm that he will not be signed at least for now. This is due to the fact that AmaKhosi have already registered five foreign players with the PSL which makes it impossible to add another to the list. Knowledge Musona, Willard Katsande, Jimmy Jambo, Kingston Nkhatha and Ugandan international Ivan Bukenya are all on the books of Chiefs as foreigners. Zimbabwean-born striker Matthew Rusike is the only exception as he has holds the South African citizenship in the current Chiefs squad. Like for next update
Kaizer Chiefs showed that they are not a spent force after they ruthlessly destroyed Polokwane City 4-1 in their Absa Premiership clash played at a rain-soaked FNB Stadium last night. It could have been an ever bigger win, but Amakhosi missed a number of chances. So easy was it that Amakhosi head coach Stuart Baxter was able to substitute star keeper Itumeleng Khune with Reyaad Pieterse at the start of the second half. Chiefs produced the fireworks on the pitch but pouring rain, thunder and lightning forced the players from the pitch after only 13 minutes. The match was held up for 45 minutes while the storm passed over. At that stage Chiefs were leading 1-0 via an Eric Mathoho goal after five minutes. For Cit,y and head coach Boebie Solomons, it was back to earth after their 3-0 home win over AmaTuks at the weekend. The Limpopo based rookies were cruelly exposed at the back. Chiefs went for the kill when the game restarted and after a couple of missed chances Kingston Nkhatha made it 2-0 in the 26th minu ...

Solomons mourns poor defence - 28 November 2013, 11:24 Following his side's humbling 4-1 defeat by Kaizer Chiefs in Soweto on Wednesday, Polokwane City coach Boebie Solomons believes a lack of tactical discipline let the team down and resulted in a humiliating result for the visitors. “We can't expect to get points on the road if we're not disciplined enough in our organisation,” Solomons said after City remained winless away from home. “It's something we have to fix and we'll keep on working on it.” Solomons watched on as Bernard Parker scored a brace, and Erick Mathoho and Kingston Nkhatha also got on the score-sheet to condemn the Limpopo outfit to their seventh defeat of the season. “Their goals killed our rhythm and we didn't defend very well,” Solomons said. “We're a new team, we're trying to get ourselves organised. One of our strengths we'd worked on was our defensive organisation but tonight it was very poor. “Chiefs are a quality team. They're well-organised and they're well coac ...

Kaizer Chiefs put four past Polokwane City in a League clash on Wednesday evening. Chiefs produced a masterful performance at Soccer City, with Bernard Parker scoring a brace, and Mulomowandau Mathoho and Kingston Nkhatha a goal each. Puleng Tlolane got City’s consolation goal at the death, while Josta Dladla succumbed to a silly red card. Rate khosi performance against Polokwane City out of 10
Baxter: I wanted Tower to feed the strikers Baxter admits he took too long to make his decisive substitution. He brought on Knowledge Musona for Lehlohonolo Majoro on 65 minutes, and Kingston Nkhatha for George Lebese on 84, but waited until the 90th to bring on Mulomowandau Mathoho, for Reneilwe Letsholonyane. “The rationale of bringing on Erick Mathoho in the last minute of the game was to go route one and to get [Bernard] Parker, Nkhatha and Knowledge to feed from him. I was tired to see us waiting,” Baxter tells the club’s official website. “It took long to bring him on and I don’t think we managed to get any ball to Erick." We've seen coach Baxter making some questionable substitutions recently, when they lost to Ajax Cape Town, he replaced a defender (Gaxa) by Josta Dladla, but he had natural defenders on the bench. By reading his statement, he admits he wanted Mathoho to play as a play maker, whereas he had midfielders on the bench, though there was no time on the clock for a defender to ...
I would like to send my shoutout to the following people,Keegan Ritchie,George Lebese,Kingston Nkhatha and Stuart Baxter,i would like to say to you guys TSEK Maan,Niyasidlisa ***
Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter thanked the clubs fans for not demanding the substitution of under pressure striker Kingston Nkhatha after a horror miss early in the Saturdays win over Bidvest Wits game
As I much as it is hard to admit that we got chowed by Al Ahly, I put the blame on Gcaba and Tlou Segolela. These guys were just a disappointment. Nxa. As for Chiphs fans, sit down and worry about your own problems. You have Kingston Nkhatha, Morgan Gould and Stuart Baxter as enough problems. Stop celebrating like you won the star. Your turn is coming next year. Fall back and drink Ntakunyisa, drink-o-pop or something and allow us to heal.
My Kaizer Chiefs family we praised Staurt Baxter too soon I think and forgot that the players were more hungry to win last season. Now we can see team spirit is so low,Kingston Nkhatha doesn't celebrate his goal with his teammates. He run to his father (Stuart Baxter). Truth must be said at times!
The sooner Stuart Baxter bench slow Morgan Gould and Kingston Nkhatha the better
Kingston Nkhatha and an own-goal by Moeneeb Josephs gave Kaizer Chiefs a 2-1 win over Wits to maintain their unbeaten run at home
Majoro Grabs Winner For Chiefs Absa Premiership Result: Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 Wits Date: 9 November 2013 Venue: FNB Stadium Kaizer Chiefs beat Wits 2-1 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night in their Absa Premiership encounter. Kingston Nkhatha gave Chiefs the lead in the second half, before substitute Ryan Chapman equalized for Wits. Chiefs sub Lehlohonolo Majoro grabbed the winner with five minutes of normal time remaining. The win means Chiefs join Wits and Swallows on fifteen points now, five points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Willard Katsande was brought down in a dangerous position in the 3rd minute, and from the resulting free kick Siphiwe Tshabalala shot just wide and high. In the 12th minute Siyabonga Nkosi was brought down by Siboniso Gumede just outside the box, and Chiefs had another free kick. Tshabalala tried to curl it at goal from an acute angle, but Moeneeb Josephs was able to punch clear. In the 15th minute Benjani Mwaruwari got forward for Wits but his final attempt at goal went wide to ...
Stuart Baxter won't win anything this season if he insists on playing 10 players. (Kingston Nkhatha)
In fact Kaizer Motaung Jnr is more effective than Kingston Nkhatha. He doesn't miss sitters like that and he controls the ball better.
Jessica Motaung. Lol "Mention someone who is very crazy about Kingston Nkhatha."
Posted: 31 October 2013 Time: 08:16 am Amakhosi open contract talks with Majoro... Despite him not seeing much action this season, Kaizer Chiefs have opened contract talks with striker Lehlohonolo Majoro. Majoro’s contract with Amakhosi is set to expire in June next year. There have been rumours the former AmaZulu striker could be heading to Mamelodi Sundowns next season, because of a lack of game-time at Naturena. Majoro has spent a lot of time on the bench recently, with Stuart Baxter preferring to start up front with Bernard Parker and Knowledge Musona, and at times Kingston Nkhatha. However, Majoro’s agent Tim Sukazi insists to KickOff.com that his client’s desire is to remain with Amakhosi next season. “No one has spoken to me and not one person [from Sundowns],” Sukazi says. “We have just started talking with Kaizer Chiefs and [Majoro] is interested is staying with the club next season – that’s why we are talking.” Majoro and his teammate Parker were reported to have been involved ...

Baxter: Players will feel isolated Stuart Baxter insists the booing of their own players by Kaizer Chiefs fans did not impact the team in their defeat to Ajax Cape Town last night, but says it still remains a problem. Many players, and Kingston Nkhatha in particular, came in for stick from the stands as Amakhosi lost to a late Tasriq Morris goal. It’s been a theme throughout the season for the Double champions, and Baxter says the players will begin to feel isolated from the fans. “If the crowd openly show their displeasure to any of our players, it upsets the whole group,” the coach tells the club’s official website. “In the long term that’s something that the supporters certainly need to understand. “If they cannot understand that, of course the players need to forge ahead, but the thing is they will feel more isolated from their supporters. “The supporter behaviour didn’t have any impact on the game [against Ajax]. The players have responded well and obviously they have made an appea ...

"I wish it was Kingston Nkhatha not Knowledge Musona, when Cowtha is gonna get injured kanti?!"☺lmao
Most Zimbabwean players playing in foreign leagues found it particularly tough during this past weekend, with most players on the receiving end, with the exception of a few whose clubs celebrated wins. Some players enjoyed some great midweek results though. In South Africa In the Absa Premiership league, the only player who scored a goal this weekend is the much maligned Kingston Nkhatha, who, against all the senseless booing he endured at the hands of his own club supporters, scored a 41st minute equaliser for Kaizer Chiefs in a league Soweto Derby with the on-fire Orlando Pirates at the Soccer City (FNB) Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Kermit Erasmus had given the Buccaneers an early lead after dominating the early exchanges. Knowledge Musona failed to recover on time from a shoulder injury sustained when he scored an equaliser for Amakhosi during a Telkom Knock-out victory over Free State Stars last weekend. Willard Katsande as usual played the entire match for Chiefs. During midweek, Mamelodi Sundowns' ...
Not even a brawl could liven up derby 27 October By Jonty Mark Even a boxing match couldn’t add punch to yesterday’s Soweto Derby, a pleasant summer afternoon let down by a rather spark-less stalemate. The mass brawl that ensued midway through the second half spoke of the tensions that always run high on days like this. And yet for all the fight there wasn’t even close to enough flair to make this rewarding viewing. Pirates got a splendid enough goal from Kermit Erasmus, but then stopped playing for much of the rest of the game. Chiefs, meanwhile, had a story of redemption to tell, as Kingston Nkhatha fought off being booed by his own fans to net an (albeit offside) equaliser. But they, too, were off their game, in a poor advert for the Absa Premiership, added to by some lamentable officiating. Nkhatha’s goal was palpably offside, and referee Victor Hlungwani’s decision not to at least book players for the second half ructions was bizarre, to say the least. It was a bit of a shame for a game tha ...

Kingston Nkhatha will start alongside Bernard Parker due to Knowledge Musona's injury absence this afternoon. An excellent opportunity for the much criticised striker to shine.
LINEUPS: Kaizer Chiefs v Orlando Pirates Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter is starting with Kingston Nkhatha and Bernard Parker up front in this afternoon's Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium. The Glamour Boys are minus influential striker Knowledge Musona, who injured his shoulder when scoring in the club's previous outing against Free State Stars in the Telkom Knockout quarter-finals. However, the attack-minded Siphiwe Tshabalala gets the nod after recovering from the knock he sustained to his ankle against Ea Lla Koto. Meanwhile, Bucs mentor Roger de Sa is fielding the same team that outclassed Golden Arrows 4-0 in the TKO in midweek, with midfielder Khetokwakhe Masuku retaining his place in the side. Chiefs Trounce Swallows In Friendly 25 September 2013 Kaizer Chiefs took on Moroka Swallows in a friendly game at FNB Stadium yesterday, beating the Dube Birds 6-0. Following Tuesday’s 1-1 MTN8 draw with Orlando Pirates which saw the Amakhosi crash out of the tournament, Stuart Baxter was keen to give some of his fringe players a run in the lead up to next month’s Telkom Knockout. None of the players from Chiefs’ starting XI against Pirates took part in the encounter but a number of the substitutes from the game, including Kingston Nkhatha, Lehlohonlo Majoro and Josta Dladla, played. A brace from Nkhatha as well as single goals from Kaizer Motaung Junior, Matthew Rusike, George Lebese and Majoro completed the rout over a Swallows side whose main exclusion was Lefa Tsutsulupa, who sat in the stands. Meanwhile, trialist Ivan Bukenya played 90 minutes at centre-back for the reigning PSL champions as Baxter continues to run the rule over him.
Rotation for life: Baxter's rotation system heads to Orlando Baxter made six changes against Platinum Stars to his line-up, admitting that it was a "gamble that paid off" and even gave him fresh ideas ahead of the Top 8 clash against Pirates. Tsepo Masilela, Siboniso Gaxa and Kingston Nkhatha were left out of the team, while Knowledge Musona, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Tefu Mashaite came off the bench. "With our heavy schedule, we've got to rotate the team around, give others a chance knowing that we have got some big games coming up," says Baxter "I'm not obviously going to announce my team here, but I would have looked at a couple of performances. Now I am not so sure how my team is going to look against Pirates." Who should Baxter bench this time against Pirates? Which strikers deserve to start tomorrow?
I think we can do without Kingston Nkhatha,Willard Katsande and Siyabonga Nkosi.why do we still have this guys anyway ???
Zim Warriors made me smile for my beloved Zimbabwe for the first time in many years. Knowledge Musona's gem goal took out all the steam from the Bafana Bafana outfit. The hardworking Hardlife Zvirekwi, the crunch Kingston Nkhatha, the agile Washington Arubi, the 'Smiling Assassin' Denver Mukamba, the evergreen Cuthbert Malajila, the stubborn Khama Billiat, the big defender Felix Chindungwe, the slippery Danny Phiri, the hard running Willard Katsande and many more. And what of Ian "Dhibhango" Gorowa- perfect after-match English!! Big up mudhara we team. Ko ZORA BUTTER! This celebration stunt should be nationalized. No where else do you find ZORA BUTTER! Thanx De Mbare although I am Makepekepe.
Khama Billiat has nothing but praise for strikers Kingston Nkhatha and 'special' Knowledge Musona.
Warriors beat over-rated Bafana in a friendly by Sports reporter South Africa 1 - 2 Zimbabwe A lively Zimbabwe proved to be too much for Bafana Bafana as the Warriors claimed a 2-1 win over the hosts at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night. The Warriors looked the more dangerous of the two sides and created a few decent half-chances in a slow first-half but Bafana goalie Darren Keet did not have to make many saves. Washington Arubi, in goal for Zimbabwe, was also hardly troubled as South Africa lacked any cutting edge in the final third. The game livened up after the interval and goals from Knowledge Musona and Cuthbert Malajila proved to be enough. Bernard Parker lashed in a very late goal but it was too little too late. Arguably the best chance of the half came just two minutes in when Kingston Nkhatha found his Kaizer Chiefs teammate Knowledge Musona but he curled his shot over the crossbar. Five minutes later Nkhatha charged toward a ball over the top but Keet did well to judge the danger and had come ...
This Enews Sports anchor is crazy. Kermit Erasmus a Hitman? What does that make Kingston Nkhatha?
Kaizer Chiefs international players will return to training on Monday as they prepare to defend their league title. Means that the club’s Bafana Bafana internationals, Itumeleng Khune, Eric Mathoho, Tefu Mashamaite, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Bernard Parker, as well as Zimbabwean internationals, Matthew Rusike and Kingston Nkhatha, will all be back amongst their teammates next week.
Chiefs to make major signings REIGNING PSL champions Kaizer Chiefs will only make two headline signings ahead of the coming Absa Premiership season, a source at the club said. The source said Chiefs were lining up a striker and a central defender - both big-name players - as they prepare to defend their title, though the club would not officially confirm this. Amakhosi won their first league title in eight years last season, under first-time PSL coach Stuart Baxter. Instrumental in their double success - they also lifted the Nedbank Cup - were some of their signings made in pre-season, including Mulomowandau Mathoho, Kingston Nkhatha, Siboniso Gaxa and even the injury-plagued Morgan Gould. Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung said he could neither confirm nor deny that Amakhosi will make only two major signings. Bernard Parker, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Kermit Erusmus, Knowledge Musona, Kingston Nkhatha, Sthembiso Ngcobo, Kaizer Junior I think we have enough bows and arrows to hunt them one by one, zenga zenga, village by village, house by house
Tahiti coach - "But even if they score 15 or 20 goals, I would be happy if we scored one."
Erasmus was asked Between the two teams Sundowns and Chiefs - that which team he likes? His respond was : The team that plays most exciting football at the Moment of which is Chiefs, by Far! KM
Bernard Parker (351 192) and Lehlohonolo Majoro (350 666) are the clear favourites to lead the line up front for AmaKhosi, with Sthembiso Ngcobo (170 030) and Kingston Nkhatha (135 242) slowly following.
Noko Matlou and Kingston Nkhatha,,, like brother like sister if you look at them.
Kaizer Chiefs Players that have to leave: Arthur Bartman, Keegan James Ritchie, Kingston Nkhatha, Lincolin Zvasiya, Mandla Masango and Sthembiso Ngcobo. Pirates, Sundowns, Supersport, Swallows, Wits and Celtic you can choose from the above players. Thank you!
Bobby Motaung insists are not in contact with Kermit Erasmus, or any other player for that matter. "We are not going on a shopping spree because we already have a good squad. If you get top stars coming in and they don't play, it could create a challenge. You get people sulking, so we need to create a balance. Say I get a top player from a top team, whether it is a defender or a striker, then he must be coming in to play, so that's a challenge to create that balance and that takes a bit of a sober mind and a bit of time to do proper calculations. If Erasmus comes to Chiefs, is he prepared to wait for his opportunity? I wish this rumours would stop and let's allow people to do their business properly. I've got Bernard Parker, Majoro, Kingston Nkhatha, Ngcobo and Kaizer Junior is not even playing, so we must make sure that whoever we bring is someone we really need. We have not made a shopping list, Motaung insists. Your thoughts?

Laduma Editoral shared the following link: Chiefs will be without striker Kingston Nkhatha for this weekend’s Nedbank Cup final.
Road to the final Both sides played four games to reach the final, with AmaKhosi winning all their matches in 90 minutes, while SuperSport needed extra time and penalties to get past Maritzburg United, and were also taken to extra time by Platinum Stars before winning 3-2. Chiefs faced two clubs from the NFD (Polokwane City and United FC) along the way, with the Tshwane team playing all their matches against PSL opposition with the exception of the 2-1 win over Vasco da Gama in Cape Town. The Soweto outfit found the net eight times in their four games, conceding just one goal. The goals have been evenly shared around for Stuart Baxter’s team. No one player has bagged more than a single goal: Siboniso Gaxa, Morgan Gould, Mandla Masango Sthembiso Ngcobo, Kingston Nkhatha, Lincoln Zvasiya, Lehlohonolo Majoro and George Lebese have all been on the score-sheet. On their route to the last two, SuperSport scored seven goals and let in four. Like Chiefs, the goals have been well spread: Mark Haskins, Thabiso Nk ...
7 Things we’ve learned this season Mzamo Moloi looks back on the 2012/13 season and reflects what he learnt from it. Buying well is key Katlego Mashego, Mame Niang, Mulomowandau Mathoho and Kingston Nkhatha all have one thing in common – they were pre-season arrivals who heavily contributed to their teams’ successes. For a team to do well it needs the right personnel to bring pre-season targets into end-of-season realities. Come 2013/14, expect to see teams dive into the transfer market. But by far this season’s stand-out acquisition has been Stuart Baxter. The former Bafana Bafana mentor has been a revelation in turning the Amakhosi into League champions. The manner in which his players have responded to his style of management, both tactically and relationally, is evident whenever Chiefs have played this season. Ruud Krol’s team is no more When Ruud Krol’s Orlando Pirates won their first treble at the end of the 2010/2011 season, many thought it was the beginning of a dynasty. Despite his co ...
Mr camera man Bernard Parker is not satisfied with 12goals “I am not satisfied. I should never be satisfied. Even if I was the top goalscorer of the PSL, I wouldn’t be satisfied, but I am happy for the team. However, Parker believes that he can score more goals if he can play as a striker and not behind either Kingston Nkhatha or Lehlohonolo Majoro who are preferred target men. “I am not an out-and-out striker, but assist and I score. Thanks to my teammates for allowing me to be a good player and thanks to the supporters,” added Parker.
10 – The number of substitute appearances made by Sthembiso Ngcobo, Kingston Nkhatha and Lehlohonolo Majoro – the most in the team.

Debate: Who Should Partner Parker? Stuart Baxter faces a tough decision this weekend when choosing who will lead his forward line when Kaizer Chiefs take on Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby. The club’s top scorer, Bernard Parker, was suspended for their most recent game, a 2-0 win over Chippa United, but will be available for selection this weekend and is likely to go straight back into the side. Baxter’s problem will arise when it comes to who he will select to play alongside the Bafana Bafana man. Kingston Nkhatha, who has started the last four games for the Amakhosi, managed to grab his sixth goal of the season against Chippa when he was chosen ahead of the injured Lehlohonolo Majoro. Now, with Majoro ruled out of this game as well, Nkhatha could well be chosen again, however he may face competition from the likes of Sthembiso Ngcobo and Kaizer Motaung Junior. Both Ngcobo and Motaung made substitute appearances in the victory over the Chilli Boys recently, and the latter managed to open the scor ...
