Finished Ken Follett's 'Edge of Eternity' which finished his Century Trilogy. Fun read but 'Pillars of the Earth' is better
*** you Ken Follett and your century trilogy.I'm addicted...I woke up at 430a to let the dogs out and couldn't resist picking up the book again! Then again, curling up under the covers with the dogs and some tea definitely makes a great start to the day. :)
I just bought: 'Edge of Eternity: Book Three of The Century Trilogy' by Ken Follett via

Summer Reading continues - Ken Follett doesn't disappoint with Fall of Giants: Book One of the Century Trilogy. Before I tackle book 2, I read Silken Prey. Started Deliver Us from Evil by David Baldacci at 3am.amazing how much one can read when one can't sleep.
Is Ken Follett a holocaust dernier or did he simply forget to include concentration camps in the second Century Trilogy novel?
How Ken Follett has ruined my life. I'm into the 500 plus pages of "Fall of Giants" the first in his Century Trilogy which follows five generations from 1911 through 2011. I can't tear myself away from the thing. Every spare waking moment. I had no idea it would be so addicting and I'm not even close ending my stash. Bought the first two volumes with a Barnes and Noble gift card. To-do lists undone. Want to bake cookies but time away from "Fall of Giants" can't be spared. I really think it should be listed as a controlled substance. I've been addicted to books before, but they're usually not more than four hundred or less pages. I"m a speed reader so they are easy to fly through. Not this one! And Volume 3 isn't due out until 2014.
Bought myself an early Christmas present today, namely book two of Ken Follett's Century Trilogy. This one is called Winter of the World. It has been over a year since book one, Fall of Giants was published.
Wow! Just finished Ken Follett's Book Two (Winter of the World) of his Century Trilogy. Takes the reader forward from the close of WWI through the end of the Berlin Airlift. A time frame which covers most of my early years in California and about half of my military service. If you've not read it yet I urge you to; but first read Book One (Fall of Giants), which sets the scenario for the entire series. It's 940 pages, so be prepared to devote a weekend or more to get all the way through it - it is 'mite near impossible to put down.
Finishing up the final pages of the massive, epic and well-written, 'Fall of Giants' by Ken Follett---book one of the Century Trilogy. With a cast of characters scattered across the globe, the novel is powerful, suspensful and filled with history, including WW I and the Russian Revolution. *** next I'll probably switch genres and read something subversive, sexy or science fiction...or horror or noir. Something different.
Hey book-lovers! New releases just in! No Easy Day by Mark Owen (written by the ex-Navy Seal who was in the thick of it when Bin Laden was taken down). Winter of the World by Ken Follett, book two of the Century Trilogy (follow up to Fall of Giants). The Price of Politics by Bob Woodward and Double Cross by Ben Macintyre, for political readers. Plus, new fall releases by all your favorites: James Patterson, Clive Cussler, W.E.B. Griffin, Lee Child, Stuart Woods, and the new bestseller by Kathy Reichs to name a few.
The second in a historical series I LOVE is coming out on September 18!!! When will I ever have time to read it? Volume 1 was 985 pages!!! Ken Follett's Book one of the Century Trilogy was amazing. Book two...hurray, the wait is almost over!

I have been patiently checking EVERY SINGLE DAY on-line with the GA PINES library system in order to get on the wait list for the latest & 2nd book (not released yet) in Ken Follett's Century Trilogy, Winter of the World (sequel to Fall of Giants). It isn't due to be released until next week on the 18th. Okay, so I found out today that I have a credit on my Amazon credit card -- guess what I did! I preordered the book and got a 42% discount. There goes being patient & frugal!
is delighted that "Winter World", the second volume of Ken Follett's Century Trilogy, is to be published September 18th. The first volume, "Fall of Giants" (2010), was a terrific read. What a joy to indulge oneself in a really good book.
