So, it's a wild kick *** Friday night for some of you out there. In my case, I am sitting on my couch and watching the CMA award show I set to be recorded the other night. So far, my commentary: Brad Paisley is funny as usual. He comes up with his own material and the ObamaCare skit was great. Keith Urban (and Danny Rader) are always great to listen to and watch. Taylor Swift with Allison Kraus, Vince Gill and the others on the Red number were great. Taylor has that left/right eye movement down to a science. Great number. Maybe more commentary later, maybe not. ;)
My take on the CMA Awards. I thought Brad and Carrie did a great job hosting.Obamacare by morning was funny to me, but not to Taylor Swift! Where the heck was Kenny Chesney??? Tim and Faith looked aged and out of sorts and Tim needs to wear jeans from now on! Lee Brice got screwed out of the new artist of the year award. He should have won by a mile! Glad I drive your truck won song of the year. Carrie Underwood has stunning beauty and legs! I am not a Taylor fan, but the arrangement of Red was fabulous!!! Vince Gill Still sings like a songbird! Jason Aldean looked unhappy all night. Kelly Pickler is the cutest ever! Keith Urban is my favorite and he always is happy for his fellow man. The tribute to the Possum by Alan Jackson and George Straight was right on time and performed so well, and Vince hugging George Jones wife. Zac Brown and Luke Bryan hugging and it looked real! I wish Zac would have sang his new song Sweet Annie. P Diddy coming out as a country fan was cute. Eric Church is mo ...
How many of you watched the CMA show last night? A lot of the music was just "loud noise" and certainly not considered "Country." But George Strait and Alan Jackson did a fantastic job of remembering George Jones with "He Stopped Loving Her Today." (REAL country!) We were so happy for George Strait in receiving "Entertainer of the Year!" Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood were great together as hosts. How many times did Carrie Underwood change outfits? (some were "way out there!!) Taylor Swift is cute, talented, but I feel she has reached too much fame too soon. I wish we could have heard a song by Allyson Krause by herself. Vince Gill is a sweet man..and I just love Keith Urban!! Overall, it was a good entertaining show! (missed Dolly Parton, a genuine great country singer, and so personable.

Eric Clapton plays Nashville in March Posted on November 19, 2012 by Staff Click to see a gallery of Eric Clapton at the Sommet Center in Nashville on Saturday, February 27, 2010 (photo: Jeanne Reasonover/The Tennessean) Renowned guitarist Eric Clapton will return to Nashville on March 22 for a concert at Bridgestone Arena. The British rocker is mounting a U.S. tour that will culminate in the 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival, a two-night stand at Madison Square Garden with performances from dozens of special guests, including Nashville pickers Vince Gill, Keb' Mo', Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. Considering Gill has joined Clapton onstage in Nashville before, it's not out of the question that one or more of those stars might turn this Nashville stop into a warm-up gig. Clapton's Nashville stop will feature special guests The Wallflowers and a backing band with several longtime touring partners, including Doyle Bramhall II, Steve Jordan, Chris Stainton and Willie Weeks. OK, in my opinion, other underrated guitarists include: Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, and last but not least, Joe Bonamassa!
CMA awards - good times. Highlights for me - (3) Blown Away, Keith Urban and Zac Brown, and Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill
Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill did not disappoint, AMAZING!! On a side note, no one says "baby" like Keith Urban, sorry Zack Brown :0
Just returned from vacation in Alabama to visit my sister. Beautiful down there. Went to the Grand Ole Opry while there and watched Darius Rucker get inducted. Other stars included Martina Mcbride, Vince Gill, Clint Black, Connie Smith and "whisperin'" Bill Anderson. At the end of the show Keith Urban showed up too. Awesome performances!!! I would return to the Opry anytime the opportunity arose!!! Also visited the Jack Daniels distillery while there and yes a few bottles somehow ended up returning with us. Very interesting to see the process and once again in a beautiful area. Lots of good food too and very good company. But as always, glad to be home.
The Grand Ole Opry is one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. I may have to do it again some day. I got to see Martina Mcbride, Bill Anderson, Vince Gill, Darius Rucker, and Clint Black. When Darius Rucker was inducted into the Opry, Keith Urban came on stage to congratulate him. Dan Marino also made an appearance.
Wonderful sisters trip to Opryland Hotel and going to Grand Ole Opry Show! Great show with Clint Black, Bill Anderson, Martina McBridge, Vince Gill, and the best - Darius Rucker inducted in Grand Ole Opry -- and a special appearance by Keith Urban! and some others too! Weather was great and trip was super great!

Dan Murph is a songwriter and music producer living in Bowling Green, Kentucky whose songs have been recorded by Keith Urban, Reba Mcentire, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Sammy Kershaw, Josh Turner, Vince Gill and many others. He is also the founder and owner of a real estate company in South Central Kentucky that specializes in acquiring landmark properties of historical or architectural significance. He has two daughters. --- Dear Bowling Green, Seldom do you find a place that is the perfect balance between big and small, but you are it. Your big-city flair combined with small-town charm often make me feel as if I have somehow traveled through time and space to land in what can only be described as a modern-day Mayberry. Reality may be a bit different than "The Andy Griffith Show," but I can't help thinking that somehow, I have been given a little piece of suburban perfection after a lifetime of urban resentments. Unlike many people who become deeply invested in their small communities, I was not born in ...
On Sept 22, Treasure Isle Recorders celebrates its 32 Anniversary--we're Nashville's oldest truly independent studio that is still under it's original management. Over the years we've been truly blessed to have recorded dozens of music icons from all genre--Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Vince Gill, James Taylor, Dolly Parton, The Beach Boys, Alabama, Isaac Hayes, BB King, John Denver, Sting, Rodney Crowell, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Alison Krause and current CMA Album of the Year recipient Jason Aldean are just a few of them. Grammy winning "Lady Antebellum's" "We Own The Night," a single, was mixed by Peter Coleman at our studio. Thanks to all of our wonderful artist clients, producers, engineers, and labels who have contributed to an approximate $2 billion in combined music sales over the years. We just wish we got a 'royalty.' Oh, well, 'bragging rights' are great too!:)
