Niger-Delta youths under the leadership of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, have vowed to give an appropriate response to the attack on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan by irate youths in Katsina State. Leader of the NDPVF, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, said this while speaking on behalf of the group in Abuja, on Wednesday. He said members of his group were putting the world on notice because the irate youths chose to attack the President’s convoy as he was leaving a campaign venue. Asari advised non-indigenes, especially members of the National Youth Service Corps from the South-East, currently resident in the north to return home for their personal safety. According to him, it was now clear that some people were paying lip service to the no violence accord entered into by President Jonathan, his main challenger and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari among others. Asari said, “There is an established pattern of pre and post election violence in the no ...
Mallam Muhammadu Buhari contested with OBJ in 2003,no pre-election controversy of any nature whatsoever cuz it's obvious OBJ will defeat him considering the nationwide affection "Ebora Owu" garnerned. Mr. Muhammadu Buhari Contested with Late Umar Musa Yar'adua in 2007, there was no pre-election pandemonium as well, cuz he himself knew his fellow state man's recent track record back then in Katsina State and thus accepted his defeat. Major-General Muhammadu Bahari contested again in 2011,this time with GEJ and like previously, there was no pre-election badmouthing cuz Nigerians en mass voted for "Jona" (thinking he would take after his Late boss and accomplished all of Yar'adua's intended mission) and thus MGMB was defeated on a particular mission for third consecutive trial. Lo and Behold, thy Lord is with you! Comes 2015 election.. BUHARI,YAR ADUA PDP AND CORRUPTION "The PDP has from its inception, perfected the bad habit of expecting its candidates for political office to bear the disproportionate burden of campaign expenses. So Umaru got the ticket but had to raise monies for his governorship bid. As the head of the Yar’Adua family, he was assumed to be wealthy. This was far from the truth. By the time Shehu died in prison, most of the businesses were shut down or near bankruptcy except Habib Nigeria Bank. Nicotes Services had been expropriated by the Abacha junta, the name changed to Intels Logistics Services and the chairmanship transferred to the Emir of Kano. Under Umaru’s non-business supervision, the family fortune was virtually disappearing. Umaru had no money to spend on the Governorship. A group of young professionals of Katsina State origin, WHO HAD MADE MONEY FROM the Petroleum Special Trust Fund (PTF) program under the supervision of General Muhammadu Buhari, came to the rescue. Their leader was Tanimu Yakubu, an E ...
Resign now, Buhari tells Jonathan From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina Former head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari, has advised President Goodluck Jonathan to resign due to his government’s failure to address the lingering security challenges facing the country and for his alleged gross incompetence in running the affairs of the nation. Buhari, who gave the advise in an interview with newsmen at his Daura residence, Katsina State, said “This is not good leadership to send soldiers killing innocent people and raping their women. The government should leave the stage for those who can provide good leadership. “I am a soldier and I participated in the civil war. We have our code of conduct in our operations but now you allow people to just go harassing people and killing them. Just because one or two soldiers were killed, you just go out killing everyone on sight like what happened in Baga and Bama,” he alleged. The former Head of State, who looked visibly worried by the recent deteriorating securi ...

Buhari Is Our Mandela – Kanti Bello Senator Mahmud Kanti Bello represented Katsina North from 1999-2011 in the senate and is now a chieftain of the new mega party – the All Progressives Congress (APC). In this interview with RUTH CHOJI, the former lawmaker states that the ruling PDP government is a complete disaster. He also states that, the only way the APC can succeed is by fielding General Muhammadu Buhari as its Presidential Candidate come 2015. What assurances can you give Nigerian that the APC has come to stay? Let’s look at it from the context of why the merger? Some of us who are old enough to know during the civil war, the part of the country where I come from have never been in dilemma like now and all this emanate from the lack of capacity of PDP as the party in government. It is incompetent and each time President Goodluck Jonathan tells us “they are on top of the situation,” it gets worse. We were never aware of something like kidnapping. Mega Party-Buhari,Tinubu Agree On Sharing Formular INDICATIONS emerged on Thursday that the renewed vigour towards the formation of an oppositions grand coalition party ahead of the 2015 election was as a result of a fresh deal entered into between the camps of former head of state, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) and the leader of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Investigations by the Nigerian Tribune indicate that Buhari, who leads the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and Tinubu had struck a fresh deal on the sharing formula for the emerging political coalition. The power sharing formula had been the huge challenge that delayed the take-off of the merger plans all through 2012, sources had said.
