Image of the Day The Giants Win the Pennant... For the third time in five years the San Francisco Giants are going to the World Series, after Travis Ishikawa ended the NLCS with a three run Walk Off home run. Leading the St. Louis Cardinals three games to one, the Giants who usually relied on small ball to build their lead, got a power surge as Joe Panik gave them an early 2-1 lead after three innings. The Cardinals would answer with two runs in the fourth inning and held a 3-2 lead until the eighth inning, when Michael Morse tied the game with a solo blast. After the Cardinals left the bases loaded in the ninth inning, the Giants quickly got two runners on against Michael Wacha. With one out, Wacha served up the faithful pitch as Ishikawa deposited the ball into the Rightfield stands. The Giants will now face the Kansas City Royals in a matchup of Wild Card teams, with Game 1 at Kaufman Stadium on Tuesday.
With San Francisco's come-from-behind win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night — bringing the series to 4-1 — it looks like the Kansas City Royals will likely play the Giants in the 2014 World Series. Actor Paul Rudd, who grew up in the Kansas City area, was at Wednesday's gam…
Headliner here: St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants tired up 1-1 in NLCS and Kansas City Royals holding 2-0 advantage over the Baltimore Orioles in the ALCS in best 4 out of 7 series. Nationals, Dodgers, Angels, Tigers all shocking disappointments...
So the topic for today since both of the LA baseball teams are eliminated from the playoffs, coincidentally by both of the teams from Missouri I might add, well we all know that Mike Scioscia the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Manager, regardless of the LA Angels having the best record during the regular season, yet they were swept by the upstart Kansas City Royals and the Angels only had the lead one time throughout those three games of the ALDS. Now the case for the Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly where do I even began, making the case that he's on the hot seat let me see didn't pull out Clayton Kershaw in the top of the 7th of Game 1 of the NLDS, The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the NL West for the 2nd Straight year, but yet get eliminated by the St. Louis Cardinals in the best of 5 series. St. Louis Cardinals 3 Games- the Los Angeles Dodgers 1 game, but give credit to the Dodgers they at least won a game in their playoff series. Don Mattingly benching Yasiel Puig in Game 4 of the NLDS. Who would have thought I would be sitting at home switching between the St. Louis Cardinals game and the Kansas City Royals game by my self... missing Brandon Hall already!! Drive safe!! And go Royals!!
Random Friday Observations: Stop smoking anywhere in the front of Wawa. I have no interest in walking through some scumbags smoke on my way in or out. If someone takes the time to text/ask/email a question, answer it. If someone takes time out of their day & away from their family to help you out, show gratitude. I don't like the St. Louis Cardinals. I really like the Kansas City Royals. I think the people who dislike Nick Foles will never like an Eagles QB regardless of who it is. Always do the right thing, be the bigger person & treat people kindly. Even though it is sometimes difficult. Finally, always believe something good is about to happen.

As you can tell from my cover and profile pics it is one of my favorite times of the year! The Playoffs are underway and soon it will be time for the MLB World Series. Who will win the playoffs and be in the Fall Classic? Who will win it all? What are your thoughts? American League: Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals or Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. National League: Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals or Washington Nationals. Definitely a lot of possibilities. We could have an East Coast series featuring the Orioles and the Nationals. We could have another I-70 series featuring the Royals and the Cardinals or we can have a West Coast series with the Angels and either the cross town rivals Dodgers or the Giants.too many possibilities to calculate...

I have been a golf pro my whole adult life...but BASEBALL is my first true love! ( Thats me...I know I look about 12...ha...I was 20)...Baseball is back! Baseball lovers: predictions- I am a Kansas City Royals & Florida Marlins lover. Royals may be good finally..Marlins..well. I see an LA Dodgers vs Washington Nationals National League Championship Series...and a Detroit Tigers vs Texas Rangers American League Series. I pick the Dodgers to win a title. I think its a long goodbye year in Da Bronx for the Yankees and classy Derek Jeter. St Louis Cardinals, SF Giants, Tampa Bay, Boston Red Sox and Kansas City ROYALS could be contenders too. If ya have a pick, fire away!
I thought it would be a fun idea to look at some of the best Major League Baseball players from the 1980 season to 2009 season (30 seasons of baseball to begin my life, personally) that played here in the state of Missouri at least part of the time - obviously for the Kansas City Royals or St. Louis Cardinals. Today's look is going to be at purely some of the best defensive players during that time. I will not care about offense, I just want to know what the best defensive lineup I could field would look like. I know that defensive statistics are not perfect, nor do they claim to be. However, I will largely be looking at the "Def" statistic on Fangraphs, along with UZR numbers, errors, and caught stealing percentage (for catchers.) At catcher, it is an obvious choice, despite there being some incredible defensive catchers in my lifetime in the state of Missouri. According to that statistics, John Wathan (for the Royals) was the worst defensive catcher to accumulate at least 1,200 plate appearances as a Ca ...
Kansas City Royals rally to beat St. Louis Cardinals 4-2, end 8-game skid Teams endure 2 hour, 27-minute rain delay ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Kansas City Royals waited a long time between wins. They had no problem waiting to put this one in the books. Jeff Francoeur and Eric Hosmer combined for three RBIs in the ninth inning against the St. Louis Cardinals' bullpen and the Royals spoiled Michael Wacha's almost spotless debut, snapping an eight-game losing streak with a rain-delayed 4-2 victory on Thursday night. "We talk about this streak, we've been in every game, we've been one hit away, and tonight we got the hit," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "Those are games that can get you turned around. Hopefully, that will be the case." Hall of Famer George Brett's debut as interim batting coach was a success and the Royals avoided a four-game sweep despite totaling only four hits in a marathon delayed an hour before the first pitch and another 4 hours, 32 minutes not long after the Royals took the lead with the ba ...

Major League Baseball (MLB) Major League Baseball (MLB)is the highest level of professional baseball league baseball in the North America. Do you like this sport? I know this game some years ago, I think it is a very elegant movement, MLB teams are very strong, and I love them, such as Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, and so on. I like their players and their team MLB jerseys, when they have games, most of MLB fans will buy cheap MLB Jerseys online which look like the MLB stars’ jerseys for themselves, it’s very very interesting. Are you a fan of MLB? If your answer is yes, then hurry to buy yourself a MLB jersey. Now I would like to list some MLB super players’ pictures for you.
Question for all you that live around the area. I'm trying to get Fox Sports Network-Midwest with broadcasts of the St. Louis Cardinals instead of Kansas City Royals. Does anyone have FSN-Midwest and get Cardinal games? Dish tells me it just depends on my location which region I am in and what commercials, games, etc I get. But I cannot go another summer just listening on the radio to Mike Shannon. And no I'm not asking for a debate on if the Royals are better than the Cardinals bc we all know the Royals suck and are out of the playoff race come end of May and I want to watch my birds throughout the summer! Thanks for the help in advance
My fellow baseball fans...All jokes, disses, and trash-talking aside, I LOVE that teams like the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, and the Oakland A's are in the playoffs this year. I love that the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers were in the World Series last year and will be very good teams for years to come. I grew up in the era when these teams (except the Nationals) and others, like the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Kansas City Royals, routinely were great teams competing for the championship year in and year out. Yes I am a ride or die New York Yankees fan, but baseball needs this kind of competition, especially from teams that do not have the big budgets of the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Angels, or Dodgers. This year reminds me of football where on any given Sunday and in any given Super Bowl any team can win. Wish Major League Baseball had the kind of salary cap of other sports because the contracts have long been out of control and is one of the main rea ...

I wanna say a HUGE Congratulations to Carlos Beltran! He made a HUGE Milestone in his MLB Baseball Career!! He made his 2,000th Hit tonight in His Career & he hasn't even been with the St. Louis Cardinals 1 year yet!!! He just signed a Contract with the Cardinals in 2011!! He got a Standing Ovation when he done that!! I commend him for that!!! That is a very good thing, because FSN Sportscaster said that not very many Athletes do that in their Career!! But, Carlos Beltran is one determined, smart, intelligent, very strong, very fast, very talented, very Blessed Young Man with only being 35 years old!!! Well, he was excellent when he was with the New York Mets & the Kansas City Royals & the Houston Astros & the San Francisco Giants, also!!! :) You tell me that Man ain't Blessed & Amazing Ball Player!!! Too bad the St. Louis Cardinals couldn't win tonight against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but they did manage to Score 5 Runs in, so it wasn't a total Shut-Out Game!! I am heading to Saint Louis today to watch the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Kansas City Royals at Busch Stadium - I'm on a bus from Kansas City with fellow members of the Disabled American Veterans. That was one of the craziest endings to a baseball game I've ever seen last night, though. Anybody else going to the ballgame today?
