Had a nice quiet day at home today. Weather will be hot again tomorrow with temps in the 90s once again. Toronto Blue Jays have placed first baseman/Designated Hitter Edwin Encarnacion on the 15 day disabled list with a strained right quad. Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has been selected to the 2014 All Star Game as a replacement for Edwin Encarnacion. AL All Star Game manager John Farrell said yesterday that his first choice to replace any pitcher who pitches on Sunday or drops out of the game would Red Sox closer Koji Uehera. New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka is schedule to pitch on Sunday which would make him unable to pitch in the All Star Game next Tuesday. Guthrie snaps winless streak in Royals’ 7-2 win CHICAGO (AP) — Lorenzo Cain had a two-run double to highlight a five-run first inning, Jeremy Guthrie pitched into the sixth inning and the Kansas City Royals extended their winning streak to five games with a 7-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Friday night. Guthrie (3-6) allowed two runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings to snap an 11-game winless streak. Guthrie’s last win was on April 9, against Tampa Bay. Kansas City's Eric Hosmer and Billy Butler each had two RBIs, including a run-scoring single in the first inning. Jose Quintana (3-7) never recovered from the slow start, allowing six runs and eight hits in six innings. Jose Abreu went 1 for 4 with an RBI for the White Sox. The Royals staked Guthrie to a five-run lead before he took the mound. The first four batters — Nori Aoki, Omar Infante, Hosmer and Butler — all singled to make it 2-0 and fifth-place hitter Alex Gordon followed with a double to right field to make it 3-0. After Quintana ...

Below is the pregame of White Sox and Red Sox. Also if there's mistakes let me know. Thanks a lot! Your suggestions are my treasure! The Boston Red Sox will take a day of and head Chicago. The match up will be Chicago White Sox taking on the visting Boston Red Sox at Cellular Field. The rookie, Erik Johnson, performs worse in his last two start. Facing Colorado Rockies and Kansas City Royals, the status ended in 9.58 ERA by throwing 10.1 inning and giving out 19H and 11 ER. Clearly that the Red Sox's starting pitcher will be Jake Peavy is much more expected to win this game. First two starts facing Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers, Jake Peavy ended in a perfect 2.13ERA. During 12.2IP gave out 12K 6BB and 3ER. Although he didn't earned a win in both games, his strength and experienced career can bring him a win soon. The game will held in 2014/4/15 in America.

Kansas City Royals head home for opener against Chicago White Sox Today's game at Detroit rained out By DAVE SKRETTA AP Sports Writer It will take more than a couple of bitter, one-run defeats in Motown to make the Kansas City Royals feel any less optimistic about what could be a watershed season. The Royals head home from their season-opening series in Detroit to play the Chicago White Sox in their home opener Friday. Kauffman Stadium is expected to be sold out, and not just because it represents the first chance for most of their fans to see the club this spring. No, it's also sold out because expectations are soaring — despite a rough start against the Tigers — for a fan base hoping to finally see some postseason baseball. "We had a great second half last year as a team, and the fans always come out in Kansas City," Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas said this week. "They love us. They love their sports teams. They're dying for a winner." The Royals haven't made the playoffs since 1985, when they ...
Does the money make a good professional baseball team? Or is it the Manager that creates the winning team? Or a brand new Stadium? At the end of this year it will be interesting which team will win the Central Division. " Money is Power" comes to mind. How long will it take before the media and ownership blame Ron Gardenhire for the lack of wins for the Twins? "Fall Guy" comes to mind! Twins Fans your thoughts? 4 Detroit Tigers $148,414,500 8 Chicago White Sox $119,573,277 20 Kansas City Royals $79,491,725 21 Minnesota Twins $75,802,500 23 Cleveland Indians $73,724,300

Chicago White Sox WIN! Not a bad opening day. And for all of you Kansas City Royals fans, we did beat the Twins for you.
My MLB Predictions AL Central 1. Detroit Tigers - Miguel Cabrera will have a Triple Crown Caliber Year. Verlander will have Cy Young year. Scherezer was one year wonder and I predict he gets 10 wins at best. Unfortunately with the loss of Iglesias and aging of Hunter and Martinez, Detroit will not get as many wins as they would like, but enough to take home the central. 2. Cleveland Indians - I Really Like there team this year. They have an all star caliber lineup with a great coaching staff. Unfortunately, Justin Masterson is not an ace Pitcher, but thankfully the hitting will make up for that. That's why they get second. 3. Kansas City Royals - Best Team in the League in 3 or 4 years. They aren't developed enough yet to be a contender in the post season. 4. Chicago White Sox - Don't expect too much fro them, they just started re-building 5. Minnesota Twins - I Don't really know what happend to these guys, they were awesome 4 years ago. It's time for Gardenhire and company to go

URPRISE, Ariz. -- James Shields and Jason Vargas will start the Kansas City Royals' first two games of the season at Detroit. James Shields will start the Royals' season opener against the Tigers. Manager Ned Yost announced opening starters Saturday and says Wade Davis is no longer a candidate for a spot in the rotation. Davis made 24 starts before being sent to the bullpen last season. Yost says the decision on Davis was made after Luke Hochevar was lost for the season to reconstructive elbow surgery. Yost says left-hander Danny Duffy and rookie right-hander Yordano Ventura are the remaining candidates to fill out the rotation. Jeremy Guthrie, who led the Royals with 15 victories last year, will start the home opener on April 4 against the Chicago White Sox. Shields, who started the opener last season, was 13-9 with a 3.15 ERA las
TODAY’S NOTABLE TEXAN Phillip Humber For FEBRUARY 27th 2014 Philip Gregory Humber (Born December 21, 1982, in Nacogdoches, Texas) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and pitched his first perfect game on Saturday. He played for the Rice Owls in college. He has pitched for the New York Mets (2006–2007), Minnesota Twins (2008–2009), Kansas City Royals (2010), and White Sox (2011–present). The Mets selected him with the third overall selection in the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft out of Rice University. Phil Humber (The Pride of East Texas) struggled to establish himself in MLB. Humber grew up in Buncombe, Texas. When Humber was 11 years old, he visited the Chicago White Sox during Spring Training in Florida as the guest of Robert Ellis, a family friend of the Humbers, who then was a minor league baseball pitcher for the White Sox. Phil is now a rising MLB star and the city of Chicago is now in love with him.
Day 8 of a little Black history for today. "Bo Jackson" Vincent Edward "Bo" Jackson (born November 30, 1962) is a retired American baseball and football player. He is the only athlete to be named an All-Star in two major American sports. He was named the greatest athlete of all time by ESPN. While at Auburn University, Jackson won the 1985 Heisman Trophy, annually awarded to the most outstanding collegiate football player in the United States. In football, Jackson played running back for the Los Angeles Raiders of the National Football League. In baseball, he played left field and was a Designated Hitter for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and California Angels of the American League in Major League Baseball. He ran a 40-yard dash in 4.12 seconds (hand-timed), which is still the fastest verifiable 40-yard dash time ever recorded at any NFL Combine. A hip injury in January 1991 ended his football career and severely impaired his professional baseball career. In 1989 and 1990, Jackson's name beca ...
Colorado Rockies sign first baseman Justin Morneau to a two year, $13 million dollar contract. Morneau hit .259 with 17 Home Runs in 152 games for the Minnesota Twins & Pittsburgh Pirates in 2013. Free agent first baseman Corey Hart was medically cleared to resume all baseball-related activities. Hart did not play in 2013 after undergoing multiple knee surgeries. Chicago White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko will tell the White Sox whether he'll return, before the start of the Winter Meetings that begin on December 9. Konerko has been contemplating retirement, & has yet to make a decision about his future. Reports show that the Kansas City Royals offered a three year deal worth $48 million dollars to free agent outfielder Carlos Beltran.
Chicago White Sox versus Kansas City Royals, U.S. Cellular Field. September 28, 2013, 6:10 PM CST. Erik Johnson (RHP, 2-2, 2.82 ERA) will pitch for the White Sox, as Yordano Ventura (RHP, 0-0, 1.59 ERA) will pitch for the visiting Royals. Erik is a fringe power pitcher that has the ability to hit 96 MPH with his fastball. He has a nice tight, biting slider, and a below average change. Erik, occasionally loses his balance during delivery as a result of tempo issues. He needs to finish his pitches and his location is still a work in progress. If location is good, he is capable of putting up decent strikeout totals. He has been getting touched pretty good by left handed batters, as they are hitting .375 off of him. Look for fastball/slider combinations to batters from both sides of the plate, and change ups to lefties only. He tips his change up with a reduction in arm velocity. Yordano is a Royals September call up. The young (22 years old), diminutive Dominican may be small in stature, but he can bring it, ...
Not only did the Cleveland Indians win for the 14th time straight against the Chicago White Sox, they also won their 6th Game in a row overall and remain the holder of the second wild card spot in the American League! When the night was finished, the Indians, with their win tonight, knocked the New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, and Kansas City Royals out of playoff contention. Let's keep this momentum going for the final 4 games of the Regular Season! GO TRIBE!!!:):):)

A good Saturday morning to everyone! Just getting around here this morning, got in early this morning from New York, how about those Detroit Tigers, winners: 12-5 score last night over the Chicago White Sox, Max Scherzer won his 20th game of the year with only three losses, great candidate for the Cy Young Award! Last night's victory set the TIGERS with 90 wins 63 losses with only 9 games left in the season they conclude their home schedule this weekend as they battle the CHICAGO WHITESOX. TIGERS magic number is 3, could actually clinch the division on Sunday. Cleveland Indians on the other hand kind of given up chase winning the division, but have a crack at a wild card spot! TERRY FRANCONA really brought the Cleveland Indians around this year, Kansas City Royals are actually still in there fighting for a wild card as well, Central Division is really perked up this year, it's great to see. Getting back to Max Scherzer, Max had 200 strikeouts this season with one start remaining. Victor Martinez & Torry . ...

Feeling The Draft (Picks By Divisions: Part 2) AL Central: Minnesota Twins (4) Kohl Stewart: RHP - Texas HS pitcher who is considered to be the best in this draft class. (43) Ryan Eads: RHP - LSU pitcher that hits 93 MPH with his fastball and also has a good curve and change up. Cleveland Indians (5) Clint Frazier: OF - Georgia HS player with great power potential. Kansas City Royals (8) Hunter Dozier: 3B - Steven F. Austin. Considered to be the best power hitter in college ball. (34) Sean Manaea: LHP - Indiana State pitcher that had hip and shoulder issues that ended his season early. Has erratic pitches and iffy velocity. (46) Cody Reed: LHP - Mississippi JC pitcher above average breaking ball but needs work on his slider. Chicago White Sox (17) Tim Anderson: SS - Mississippi JC infielder who has speed and power. (55) Tyler Danish: RHP - Florida HS pitcher is said to have "filthy stuff". Detroit Tigers (20) Jonathan Crawford: RHP - Florida pitcher who is considered to be a 2 pitch reliever. (39 {from MI ...
Congratulations to Hunter Renfroe of Mississippi State for being selected overall (1st Round) in the MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres. Congratulations to Horn Lake High School and Northwest Miss. Community College alum, Cody Reed for being selection overall (2nd Round) by the Kansas City Royals. Cody is an Ole Miss signee. Mississippi was well-represented in the first two rounds of the MLB Draft, as East Central Community College shortstop, Tim Anderson, was selected 17th overall by the Chicago White Sox.
Interesting thought.Kansas City Royals sends hitting coaches to the minors and brings George Brett to be hitting coach.Maybe this is what the Chicago White Sox,needs to do

last night, The Cleveland Indians were defeated by The Chicago White Sox by the score of 11 to 0, while The Detroit Tigers have clinched The American League Central Division title once again as they flushed The Kansas City Royals by the score of 6 to 2.
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals 6-3 at Kansas City Tonight. Miguel Cabrera might actually win the Triple Crown, but there's still 2 games left. Cabrera was 4 for 5 with 1 HR and 1 RBI tonight. He's now batting .329 with 44 HR's and 137 RBI's. Detroit maintains their 3 game lead in the AL Central. The Chicago White Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians 11-0 at Cleveland tonight. Detroit is now 87-63.
I just want to say thank you Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, and of course the Chicago White Sox. Really needed the Tigers to lose. There goes that. Guess ill be eating crow instead of steak.sigh.
The magic number is ONE : In order for the Detroit Tigers to clinch the Central Division they need to beat the Kansas City Royals tonight and the Chicago White Sox to lose to the Cleveland Indians. If it happens the Tigers are AL Central Division Champions for the second season in a row. GO TIGERS !
Good news: Chicago White Sox are still in this. Bad news: They have to sweep the Cleveland Indians & Kansas City Royals have to sweep the Detroit Tigers. Go White Sox!
Jack's Free Pick Monday: Detroit Tigers -127 The Detroit Tigers will be playing for the AL Central crown tonight. A win and they'll be going to the postseason as they sit three games ahead of the Chicago White Sox within the division. Behind that motivation, I look for the Tigers to get the job done tonight. Detroit has come up big down the stretch, winning six of its last seven games overall. That includes a 4-game sweep of these same Kansas City Royals last week. The Royals have clearly packed it in, losing seven of their last eight games overall. The Tigers also have a slight edge on the mound with Rick Porcello (4.67 ERA in 30 starts) over Bruce Chen (5.13 ERA in 33 starts) in this one. Chen is 5-6 with a 5.29 ERA in 15 career starts against Detroit, and Porcello is 5-3 with a 4.71 ERA in 14 career starts against Kansas City. The Tigers are 23-9 in Porcello's last 32 starts vs. a team with a losing record. Detroit is 5-0 in its last 5 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30. The Royal ...
With three (3) games to go in the regular season; the Detroit Tigers (86-73) have a three-point-oh (3.0) game lead over the Chicago White Sox (83-76) and Detroits magic number is 1! Tomorrow the ChiSox start a 3-game road stand against the Cleveland Indians (67-92) while the Detroit Tigers are at the Kansas City Royals (71-88) and in a strange twist of irony, the ChiSox and Royals both have identical (36-42) at home records. BLESS YOU BOYS! People in the Detroit area will know from whom that catchphrase got started; but it was started during the 1984 season when Detroit started out winning their 1st Forty (40) games with a 35-5 start that kept them in 1st-place from beginning-to-finish and they won the World Series (4-1) over the San Diego Padres!

Today I had the honor of meeting and spending some quality time with Thaddis Bosley Jr. (born September 17, 1956 in Oceanside, California) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder for the California Angels (1977, 1988), Chicago White Sox (1978-1980), Milwaukee Brewers (1981), Seattle Mariners (1982), Chicago Cubs (1983-1986), Kansas City Royals (1987-1988) and Texas Rangers (1989-1990). Bosley was called up to the Angels after hitting .326 in 69 games for the Salt Lake City Gulls of the Pacific Coast League, and made his Major League debut on June 29, 1977.Bosley was traded in the off-season to the Chicago White Sox with Richard Dotson and Bobby Bonds. He remained with the White Sox organization for three years and later played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and Chicago Cubs, distinguishing himself as one the best pinch hitters in the majors. During the 1985 season, Bosley hit .328 and was voted the best pinch hitter in baseball. After being traded to the Kansas City Royals in 1987, Bosl ...

Scheduling 2013 Next year, for the first time ever, a Phillies home opener will be against an American League team. The 2013 season will begin with a three-game series in Atlanta on April 2, followed by the April 5 opener at Citizens Bank Park against the Kansas City Royals. Major League Baseball has yet to officially release next season's schedule, but three sources with knowledge of it confirmed details. Year-round interleague play is forced by MLB's impending realignment that evens the two leagues to 15 teams each. Every division will be paired with another in an effort to balance the scheduling. The Phillies will play 21 interleague games in 2013. They played 15 in 2012. The NL East will match with the AL Central next season. In addition to Kansas City, the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians are scheduled to play in Philadelphia. The Phillies are scheduled to make American League trips to Minnesota, Cleveland, and Detroit. They will also play a four-game, home-and-home series vs. the Boston Red S ...
