SMOKE SIGNALS Think about it by Margaret Figert The U. S. Justice Department announced Thursday that tribal governments on Native American reservations now have the authority to decide whether or not to legally grow and sell marijuana on their lands. While possession of marijuana is a federal crime, DOJ announced in August, 2013 that states could regulate sales of recreational marijuana. Colorado and Washington State opened our nation's first recreational marijuana stores this year, while citizens in Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia voted just last month to also legalize pot, though Congress is expected to block sales in D. C. There's one caveat: To grow and sell marijuana, tribes must maintain “robust and effective regulatory systems,” John Walsh, Colorado's U. S. attorney, told the Los Angeles TIMES. Some people will undoubtedly wonder if that's even possible. Don't Indian reservations have enough social and recreational problems? Hemp? Yes. Marijuana? No. – – -- Did you notic ...

Obama chooses NY prosecutor as Attorney General WASHINGTON (AP) — In a second trail-blazing pick for the nation’s top law enforcement officer, President Barack Obama intends to nominate a federal prosecutor in New York to become the next Attorney General and the first black woman to lead the Justice Department. Obama’s spokesman said Friday that he will announce his selection of Loretta Lynch from the White House on Saturday. If confirmed by the Senate, she would replace Eric Holder, who announced his resignation in September after serving as the nation’s first black Attorney General. Lynch, 55, is the U.S. attorney for Eastern New York, which covers Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island, a position she also held under President Bill Clinton. “Ms. Lynch is a strong, independent prosecutor who has twice led one of the most important U.S. attorney’s offices in the country,” Obama press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement. Hey Steve wake up! OBAMA SCANDALS: The Liberal Democrats will fail in the November elections because of Obama's corruption, lies, and these 25 Scandals. Also the wasted taxpayer money on the Affordable Care Act or as commonly known as "Obamacare". His legacy is a total loss. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when. 2. Benghazi: This is actually three scandals in one: The failure of administration to protect the Benghazi mission. .A$$ Kissing Holder... Gone.FINALLY.Good Riddance . Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce Thursday that he is resigning from the Obama Administration, officials confirmed to Fox News. The decision would cap a tumultuous six-year term for the nation's top law enforcement official. Holder is one of the few Cabinet officials to have stayed on since the beginning of the Obama presidency. A Justice Department official said Holder has agreed to remain on the job until his successor is confirmed. According to the official, Holder has discussed his plans with Obama on "multiple occasions" in recent months. "[He] finalized those plans in an hour-long conversation with the president at the White House residence over Labor Day weekend," the official said. The official added that Holder has "no immediate plans" after leaving the post. Holder, who previously worked in private practice and before that was a federal prosecutor, was one of the most controversial members of the administration. Republicans made cl ...
White House: Holder resigning as Attorney General
There’s been a lot of talk about President Obama issuing an Executive Order during the Congressional recess to allow millions of illegal immigrants to stay in the US. But not so fast. The White House is suddenly downplaying those stories. Senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer told ABC’s “The Week” that that’s just “uninformed speculation.” He says Obama has asked Homeland Security and the Justice Department to make recommendations about illegal immigration by the end of summer, but they haven’t even reported back yet. So maybe the media have just been running a little wild. Or maybe the White House thought amnesty would be a winning political issue, but the recent angry protests and poll numbers convinced them otherwise. Some pundits even suggested that Obama was waving amnesty like a bullfighter waves a red flag, to provoke Republican impeachment talk that Democrats could use to gin up donations and voter turnout . But reminding the public of how many people think you should be impeach ...

Good article! I think the White House's statement was "We don't keep lists of Hate Groups," and that was correct. They are tracked by the Southern Poverty Law Center under President Emeritus Morris Dees, who started the Law Center back in the 60s. The FBI and Justice Department knows who they are, however. However, for the past 238 years SINCE the Constitutional Convention and not counting the pre-Constitution presidents, and Black people have endured racism on top of racism overt and covert racism, and the Black man gets elected President more than 200 years LATER (sans the "5 undercova brothas" they say hit the WH unknown to us), and all he gets is five times the death threats and all we get is "You only voted for him because he is Black"?! Judge May Grant Executive Privilege in Fast And Furious Lawsuit WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge said Thursday she is leaning toward allowing President Barack Obama's claim of Executive Privilege in Operation Fast And Furious, the failed law enforcement operation at the center of a congressional investigation and subpoena fight between the Justice Department and House Republicans. At a hearing, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson cautioned that she has not decided how she will rule in the case. But she said she regards the Executive Privilege claim as qualified. That view could result in some Justice Department records that House Republicans want remaining confidential, while others might be subject to public disclosure. Lawyers for the House and the White House argued the case before Jackson. She flayed both sides, chiding the lawyers for turning in legal filings that she called "distressing" for their "vituperative" tone and saying the hearing would not turn into a "Press Conference." Ultimately, ...
Chuck Norris The White House's Cover-up of Benghazi May. 13, 2014 The Obama Administration continues to suppress documents that could finally explain why U.S. officials lied to the world that the September 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, occurred as a protest over an American-made anti-Muslim video. And the families and friends of the four brave Americans murdered there continue to suffer without answers, reasons or justice. Is there not a shred of heart left in Washington? USA Today explained this past week how the watchdog group Judicial Watch blew the whistle on the White House's withholding of documents and obtained a letter from the U.S. Department of Justice under the Freedom of Information Act. In it, the Justice Department tries to justify its withholding of further Benghazi documents. The 35 pages' worth of withheld documents was described by Justice trial attorney Robert Prince as including "internal strategy discussions relating to the drafting of an official response lett ...

By Hans A. von Spakovsky The Obama Administration may need to do something about the lawyers working for Eric Holder at the U.S. Justice Department because — if we are to believe White House spokesman Jay Carney about the infamous Benghazi e-mail — they may have made a major error. In an April 30 White House press briefing, Carney got into an argument with ABC News’s Jonathan Karl, who asked why this e-mail was not turned over to Congress. Carney told Karl that the “document was not about Benghazi.” When Karl remonstrated that it was prep for the appearance of Ambassador Susan Rice “for Read More …read more Source: National Review
National Action Network (NAN) MEMBER OF CLEMENCY PROJECT 2014 WORKING GROUP PRAISES NEW FEDERAL CLEMENCY INITIATIVE April 23, 2014 - Deputy Attorney General James Cole announced today a new set of criteria the Justice Department and White House will use when considering clemency petitions from federal prisoners. The new criteria will help the Justice Department identify federal prisoners who, if sentenced today under current sentencing laws and policies, would likely have received a substantially lower sentence. “National Action Network (NAN) applauds today’s Department of Justice announcement regarding criteria for reviewing clemency applications,” said Attorney Michael A. Hardy, NAN Executive Vice President and General Counsel. “President Barack Obama and US Attorney General Eric Holder have been advocating for some time for smarter and fairer approaches to criminal justice. What's going on? ??!!! Did I just hear that the White House just released tens of thousands of prisoners eligible for release? Does he really have the authority to do that? Where does that leave our justice department?
"According to former and current administration officials, the fault for this lay mostly at the feet of the Office of the Pardon Attorney, a small corner of the Justice Department that sifts through thousands of pardon and commutation petitions each year. The pardon attorney, former military judge Ronald Rodgers, sends his recommendations of whether or not to grant the petitions to the Deputy Attorney General’s office, which then sends them on to the White House. The pardon attorney was recommending that the president deny nearly every single petition for a pardon or a reduced sentence, according to one senior official in the Obama Administration."
On April 18, 1964, Hubert Humphrey, Thomas Kuchel, Attorney General Robert Kennedy, Larry O’Brien, and other Justice Department and White House staff met to consider their response to Dirksen’s ten amendments. They generally agreed on their tactics to deal with the minority leader. First, they would have to see all of the senator’s amendments, including his proposals on public accommodations, before deciding whether any were acceptable. The “no amendments” policy insisted upon by President Johnson, and the basis for the Democrats’ initial strategy, could not be abandoned unless the bipartisan leaders could evaluate the full consequences of accepting amendments. A deal with Dirksen on his amendments, moreover, would have to include his commitment to work unreservedly to apply cloture to the entire bill. The leaders had no problem with Dirksen leaving his mark on the bill so long as this did not jeopardize any essential aspect of the legislation and so long as he could deliver the missing votes ...
So, "not even a smidgen" is actually a multi-agency effort involving the Justice Department, several Senators and Congressmen, and the White House to use the IRS to shut down, and even try to make illegal, the activities of their political opponents in order to suppress the vote in a Presidential election. Of course, what they actually accomplished, as outrageous as it is, was only a smidgen of what they hoped to do. If there ever was a need for an investigation by a special prosecutor, here it is. Hat tip, Mark Levin, Katie Pavlich, and Judicial Watch.
Like her boss, IRS' Lois Lerner has trouble telling the truth. A House Committee yesterday forwarded the latest evidence of her dishonesty to the Justice Department for investigation (good luck with that). According to new evidence Lerner illegally worked with outside liberal groups to harass and stop conservative groups from getting started. And, Democrat's defense that liberal groups were similarly examined has now been proven completely false. In fact, Lerner helped Obama campaign staff get fast-track approval for a new "non-political" non-profit. We believe she's hiding White House orders to harass opponents. Today another House Committee may hold Lerner in contempt for stonewalling.
A shooting at Fort Hood on Wednesday left four people dead, including the gunman, and others critically injured, officials said. The shooter, identified as 34-year-old soldier Ivan Lopez, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the Justice Department said. Six of the victims were transported to Scott & White Hospital with gunshot wounds. “Their conditions range from quite stable to quite critically injured," Glen Couchman, Scott & White's chief medical officer, said. Couchman said the hospital was not currently in need of blood donations from individuals. Emergency crews, FBI and SWAT teams were called in to the base following the shooting, which occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. at a medical support building on the sprawling base. Soldiers and area residents were ordered to shelter in place, as police pursued reports of a possible second shooter. Several schools in the area were locked down as a precaution. President Barack Obama said the White House was monitoring reports of the shooting. "We're fol ...
Yesterday, President Obama was in Rome for his first meeting with Pope Francis. After the past few weeks, Obama desperately needs to polish up his media halo, and being seen with one of the world’s most popular religious leaders might help. But he couldn’t have asked for worse timing. He told the Pope he was a “great admirer” of his, and the White House said the meeting was to discuss their shared priorities, like poverty, conflict and religious freedom. Meanwhile, back home, his Justice Department just finished arguing that the government should have an unquestioned right to force Catholic business owners to pay for employees’ abortions. For the Pope’s part, it must’ve been awkward knowing that the chief justice of the highest court in the Vatican, Cardinal Raymond Burke, just gave an interview accusing Obama of religious persecution of Catholics. Burke called Obama a “totally secularized man” who “aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies” that have “become pr ...
Hillary Hopes You've Forgotten - Have You? Hillary Clinton has been telling America that she is the most qualified candidate for president based on her "record," which she says includes her eight years in the White House as First Lady - or "co-president" - and her seven years in the Senate. Here is a reminder of what that record includes: HILLARY, As First Lady, assumed authority over Health Care Reform, a process that cost the taxpayers over $13 million. She told both Bill Bradley and Pat Moynahan, key votes were needed to pass her legislation, that she would "demonize "anyone who opposed it. But it was opposed; she couldn't even get it to a vote in a Congress controlled by her own party. (And in the next election, her party lost control of both the House and Senate.) HILLARY assumed authority over selecting a female Attorney General. Her first two recommendations (Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood) were forced to withdraw their names from consideration, and then she chose Janet Reno. Janet Reno has since been de ...
Darrell Issa and the GOP members of the House Oversight Committee are getting impatient over what they say is purposeful stonewalling of White House officials over the targeting of Tea Party people. They have yet to set another hearing for the Internal Revenue Service commissioner but one is coming. Staffers for the committee say neither the Justice Department nor the Obama Administration have given signs that a proper investigation into the scandal is in fact going forth, The Daily Mail reported. Meanwhile, a new election cycle approaches — and it’s still not clear how the IRS foot-dragging over nonprofit exemption status applications from conservative groups affected the last election, aides said. Mr. Issa, for his part, is frustrated with what he sees as a White House dodge. One of the aides to his Republican committee members suggested that the Federal Government was lurching toward a Constitutional Crisis due to the lack of openness and accountability, The Daily Mail said. “They’ve blown o .. ...

OBAMA IS DESTROYING THE CONSTITUTION... In a word, yes. Barack Hussein Obama is destroying the Constitution by using Chicago thug political techniques to mount broad and deep attacks on the Constitution, generally and the Bill of Rights specifically. His military adventure into Libya, with United Nations authorization but without either consulting with Congress or receiving approval therefrom, was a direct attack on the Constitution's separation of powers, as is his appointment of multiple "White House czars." Obama's Justice Department has refused to perform its Constitutionally-mandated duty to defend and uphold all laws passed by the Congress by declining to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court. These are just a few of the headliner assaults on the Constitution; at a level below general public awareness, many more are occurring. Then we come to the Bill of Rights. Here, Obama is destroying the Constitution first with its continuing attempts to corrupt the First Amendment freedom of speech provis ...
I can't believe it's come to this. This past week a revolt started. Government tyranny has begun and Martial law is staring us point blank in the face. Folks we have a human weapon of mass destruction in the White House. Obama is weaponizing the government against the American People. This is the most frightening thing I've ever seen. Government agencies are stockpiling arms, ammunition and tanks...the IRS has declared war on conservatives to silence and suppress them...and the Justice Department is allowing criminals to walk free, prosecuting those who speak out. Our military has been stripped of all power and now... Under order of law, citizens are being forced to surrender their guns. Next they'll be rounded up. It's happening right now in Connecticut...and the people are rising up, revolting. I think that speaks volumes don't you? When the citizens of our great country—our neighbors, friends and loved ones—say they're prepared to go to jail over this, you have to stop and ask, "What can we do? How ...
It has been Mr. Bush who truly found his way into the hearts of the nation’s servicemen and women. After hearing of the Fort Hood massacre by Islamic terrorist Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 and wounded 38 on the 5th of November 2009, Mr. Bush and his wife, without escort, drove the thirty miles to visit the wounded and comfort the bereaved. They did so without notifying the press. They were on the base for six hours, until the White House requested they leave. President Obama showed up days later for a memorial but never visited the hospital. Granted, Mr. Obama has a far busier schedule than does Mr. Bush, but still, this was the largest terrorist act on American soil since 9/11. The problem may be that Mr. Obama and his Justice Department deny it was terrorism, referring instead to the shootings as “workplace violence,” despite the cries of “Allah Akhbar” called out by Major Hasan as he slew his fellow soldiers.

Holder Sues to Protect Islam...Read the latest now on TeaParty.org ACTION: Under the guiding hand of Obama the IRS targeted conservative groups and the Tea Party, the NSA illegally spied on Americans and on foreign nations, the Justice Department illegally wiretapped the press and Eric Holder committed multiple acts of perjury. At least two dozen scandals have rocked this presidency. When will enough be enough? Help the Tea Party continue to fight, to get the message out that Obama needs to be removed from office NOW! So, are you with me? Steve Eichler CEO Tea Party P.S. - Obama is the most anti-American president in the history of our country. He hides behind a veil of lies, spewing propaganda and utter disdain for our military. He's allowed terrorists to infiltrate the White House and has funded the murderers and haters of America with our taxpayer dollars. Are you ready to say "NO MORE! We've had enough. You, Obama, are out of here!"
Here is a black female journalist's opinion of the Obamas. These are her words. Even if you love Obama you might take a few minutes to read this because it is unvarnished in its implications for them and our country. This journalist is not afraid, like so many are, to be branded a racist simply because she is black. How beautiful and liberating the truth can be when our minds are opened for all who care to see and be free. "In the beginning of a change, the PATRIOT is a scarce man, and brave and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it cost nothing to be a PATRIOT." --Mark Twain 1904 The below summary of Barack and Michelle Obama’s 5 year reign in the White House is by far the best I've ever read as it squarely hits the nail on the head. And it took a black reporter writing it to make it as effective as it is. A white man’s account would be instantly criticized by the liberal media as pure racism. But, how can anyone scream Racist when an exacting description ...
Department of Justice says White House can use 'lethal force' on American citizens on US soil
Rogue prosecutor by digby One of the biggest scandals of the Bush Administration was the politicization of the Justice Department, specifically the practice of appointing political flunkies as US Attorneys with directives to interfere in elections. This was clearly run by the political arm of the White House, undermining the independence of the Justice Department in a particularly partisan fashion. But now, it seems we have a Justice Department which has no control at all over its prosecutors, who seem to operate completely at their own discretion. At least one of them is. Yesterday, the Huffington Post followed a young man as he submitted himself to federal prison for a 2 year term after being convicted of breaking Federal Law by working for a legal medical marijuana collective in California. Here's the story of the prosecutor:
INDIA & USA United States on 29 December 2013 initiated an inter-agency review to look at the lapses that happened in the Devyani Khobragade case that triggered uproar in India and strained bilateral ties. The decision on the review was taken following a tough stand of India on the arrest of Devyani Khobragade. The US departments involved in the review include the National Security Council of the White House, the State Department and the Justice Department. The matter of the diplomat has now landed up in the judiciary and it mainly depends on the judges for which the two bodies are engaged actively. There was a judgmental error in handling the case and an inter agency team that is led by the State Department is working 24x7 to get resolved the issue as quickly it is possible. Devyani Khobragade a 1999-batch IFS officer is the India’s Deputy Consul General in New York was arrested on alleged visa fraud charges. This is from today's DailyKos and I think it's brilliant. Rep. Paul Ryan is a very stupid man by Hunter I lived through the Iran Contra incident, and I have lived through a president declaring a new Executive Privilege to torture. I was alive when Oliver North put on a nice clean suit and testified in front of a room full of angry people, and I watched Gen. Colin Powell hold up a little vial and make the case that Iraq and Al Qaeda were close enough to being the same thing for the world to just pretend for a little while that they were, I watched the teevee as people who pointed out flaws in a White House story were retaliated against aggressively, and sometimes illegally. I remember a scandal in which the Justice Department was considered partisan prize to be won, and litmus tests created to treat it as such. I listened to a very new, very old interpretation of executive power that declared a president could nullify individual portions of newly passed Federal Laws by attaching an addendum to his signatur ...
Bolder than Holder: Cruz Demands Answers from DOJ For once, Eric Holder is conducting an investigation instead of being the subject of one. Even that's proving to be a tall task for the U.S. Attorney General, whose agency can't seem to put aside its political motives long enough to give conservatives a fair shake. And while accountability isn't exactly the motto of this Justice Department, Congress at least expected a pretense of concern over the very serious allegations of conservative targeting at the IRS. At a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday, Attorney General Holder feigned interest as he listened to members rant about the DOJ's indifference over one of the most shocking scandals to hit the IRS in modern history. It's "astonishing," said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) of Holder's lack of urgency. Despite stacks of evidence dating back to 2010, DOJ has yet to hold anyone accountable for the high-level shakedown of Tea Party groups applying for nonprofit status. "In the 280 days since that i ...
It is time to Impeach Obama! There have been so many outrageous scandals under Obama that it's hard to keep track -- Fast And Furious, Benghazi, unconstitutional appointments, granting Obamacare exemptions to politically connected groups -- but by far the most far-reaching case of corruption under this president is the IRS scandal. Obama used the IRS to bully and intimidate conservative groups for years. He abused his power to silence his opposition and steal the 2012 election Now, none other than scandal-ridden Eric Holder himself has tasked his Justice Department with supposedly "investigating" the IRS's completely reprehensible actions. Does anyone really think Obama's partner-in-crime is going to conduct a real investigation into the IRS's behavior? It gets worse. Holder's Justice Department chose Obama supporter and White House guest, Barbara Bosserman, to lead the entire investigation of the IRS scandal! This left-wing benefactor donated thousands and thousands of dollars to President Obama's electi ...
“It appears that the FBI is in the pocket of the Department of Justice and the White House.” That’s how attorney Cleta Mitchell described to WND the news that the FBI doesn’t plan to file criminal charges against anyone at the IRS for targeting conservative groups. Mitchell has represented about a dozen conservative groups that were subjected to dubious, invasive and extra scrutiny by the IRS while applying for tax-exempt status. She expressed a sarcastic skepticism that the Justice Department would ever fully investigate the IRS.   “To quote Faye Dunaway in the last scene in ‘Chinatown,’ when she yells at Jack Nicholson ‘… he OWNS the police.’” “Therein lies the problem,” concluded the high-powered Washington attorney. Tea-party advocates are upset the FBI does not seem interested in getting the story from the victims, only the purported victimizers.   “I can confirm that the FBI has not contacted me, any of my clients, or any other organizations who were victimized by the I ...

Daniel Greenfield / Sultan Knish blog is one journalist who refuses to let the Benghazi coverup go away without a fight (or the IRS, NSA, F&F etc…). Today he writes about the 'bad filmmaker' who was sent to jail in part because the BHO admin accused him of causing terrorists to inflict terror--but did you know this has happened before? Greenfield writes, "Mark Basseley Youssef is not the first filmmaker sent to prison by a Democrat in the White House for making the wrong kind of movie that interfered with his foreign policy. The first man was Robert Goldstein whose movie, the The Spirit of '76, about the American Revolution, came at a time when Woodrow Wilson was trying to get Americans deeper into aiding the British in World War I. John Hinckley will almost certainly be home for the holidays, which will bring much joy to his 86-year-old mother but not to the U.S. Justice Department. No matter whether there has been a Democrat in the White House or a Republican, the Justice Department has argued against letting Hinckley out of…
Johannes Perlmuther • 5 hours ago Just realize that the Barack Obama Administration has filled his administration with anti-God appointees, atheists and agnostics welcomed into the White House with open arms, and hundreds upon hundreds of homosexual activists and appointees rammed through because he has guaranteed implementation of their radical agenda. Yes, radical agenda. It's a lawless administration, whose so-called Justice Department will not enforce the laws of the land. Never, never forget that the Democratic Party, which if ultra-Liberal and even Left-wing, consistently panders to the homosexual "community", i.e., Human Rights Campaign, GLAAD, and any other Left-wing group promoting "political correct" policies. It's not what the American People expected from the Barack Obama Administration, and it's truly sad and frightening the hideous damage his odious administration has imposed on our country. Never vote Democratic again. The party is over beginning in the mid-term elections, and I hope that ...
Great exclusive from Shane Harris tonight: Inside the fight over the White House's pick for the top National Security lawyer in the Justice Department. Not only did some of John Carlin's peers think he wasn't the most qualified candidate. Attorney General Eric Holder -- the man who was supposed to be Carlin's boss -- hadn't supported him.
FROM THE NEWSROOM: WASHINGTON (AP) — A lawyer for a Connecticut woman killed by police after a car chase outside the U.S. Capitol is requesting a Justice Department investigation. Attorney Eric Sanders says in a letter that he believes officers who shot Miriam Carey mishandled the encounter and should be criminally prosecuted. Police have said Carey tried to ram her car into a White House barrier on Oct. 3, then led officers on a chase that ended with her being killed near the Capitol. Authorities say officers with the Capitol Police and the Secret Service fired shots. Police records show Carey previously told police that government cameras kept her under surveillance and that President Barack Obama communicated with her. The D.C. police department is investigating the use of force, which is standard protocol for police-involved shootings.

As great as he normally is, this is exceptional!! He has humor in just the right places!! NOVEMBER 1, 2013 8:30 PM A Phalanx of Lies Remember that health insurance you could keep? By Mark Steyn CNN has been pondering what they call “a particularly tough few days at the White House.” “Four out of five Americans have little or no trust in their government to do anything right,” says chief political analyst Gloria Borger. “And now Obama probably feels the same way.” Our hearts go out to him, poor wee disillusioned thing. We are assured by the headline writers that the president was “unaware” of Obamacare’s website defects, and the NSA spying, and the IRS targeting of his political enemies, and the Justice Department bugging the Associated Press, and pretty much anything else you ask him about. But, as he put it, “nobody’s madder than me” at this shadowy rogue entity called the “Government of the United States” that’s running around pulling all this stuff. And, once he finds out ...
The Wall Street Journal: "The Supreme Court ruled in June that a section of the 1965 Voting Rights Act is no longer justified due to racial progress, but the U.S. Attorney General has launched a campaign to undo the decision state-by-state. ... Mr. Holder wants to haul North Carolina and Texas back into long-term federal supervision through a back door. Under Section 3 of the Act, states can be required to get federal preclearance if a court finds that the state has intentionally discriminated against minorities in its voting laws. That's a high legal bar that the Justice Department will find hard to prove, especially since many of the two states' voter ID provisions are widespread in other states. ... All the evidence suggests that Mr. Holder's real motive here is political. Portraying voter ID laws as racist helped to drive Democratic voter turnout among minorities in 2012, and the White House wants a repeat in 2014. Never mind if the suits eventually fail in court. The goal is to elect more Democrats i ...
(NaturalNews) The U.S. Justice Department has just released a 16-page memo outlining its justification for why President Obama can order drone killings of American citizens. The paper is a wild tour of bizarro-land justifications from a government that no longer abides by any Constitutional limits or even principles of human rights. As NBC News frighteningly reports: A confidential Justice Department memo concludes that the U.S. government can order the killing of American citizens if they are believed to be "senior operational leaders" of al-Qaida or "an associated force" -- even if there is no intelligence indicating they are engaged in an active plot to attack the U.S. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, the mouthpiece of tyranny and lawlessness in America today, added that "These strikes are legal, they are ethical and they are wise." Yes, Pat Robertson, the man who said the presence of *** people at Disney World would cause "earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor," has a law school. And what kid wouldn't want to attend? It's three years, and you have to read only one book. U.S. News & World Report, which does the definitive ranking of colleges, lists Regent as a tier-four school, which is the lowest score it gives. It's not a hard school to get into. You have to renounce Satan and draw a pirate on a matchbook. This is for the people who couldn't get into the University of Phoenix. Now, would you care to guess how many graduates of this televangelist diploma mill work in the Bush administration? On hundred fifty. And you wonder why things are so messed up? We're talking about a top Justice Department official who went to a college founded by a TV host. Would you send your daughter to Maury Povich U? And if you did, would you expect her to get a job at the White House? In two hundred years, we've gone from "we the people" to "up ...
Published on Jun 4, 2013 Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-Okla.) delivered a brief-yet-scathing review of President Barack Obama and his administration. In just over a minute, Bridenstine rattled off the lengthy list of scandals and missteps that have occurred under President Obama. The GOP lawmaker said the fact that his administration is spinning out of control proves Obama is "not fit to lead" as commander in chief. His remarks in full: "The president's Justice Department sold weapons to narco-terrorists south of our border, who killed one of our finest. The president's State Department lied about Benghazi with false information provided by the White House. The president's Attorney General authorized spying on a Fox News reporter and his family for reporting on a North Korean nuclear test. The president's Justice Department confiscated phone records of the Associated Press because they reported on a thwarted terrorist attack. The president's Treasury Department uses the IRS to target political opposition. The p ...
Isn't it odd that during his recent African tour, President Barack Obama announced support for a citizen ID program in Kenya - yet considers a similar effort in the United States to be racially motivated. While President Obama and his family toured the African continent earlier in the week, the White House released a Fact Sheet that promotes a $53 million U.S. taxpayer-funded program in Kenya that assists young people to "obtain National identification cards, a prerequisite to voter registration." The White House Fact Sheet states that in advance of Kenya's March 2013 general elections, the Kenyan campaign - known as "My ID My Life" - helped 500,000 youth obtain national identification cards and carried out a successful nationwide campaign with Kenyan civic organizations to elicit peace pledges from all presidential aspirants. "This is an administration, you understand, whose Justice Department struck down voter ID laws in South Carolina and Texas just before the 2012 elections and has said over and over ...
Abuse of Power Never before has an administration been rocked by the breadth and scope of so many scandals — from the American consulate debacle in Benghazi, Libya, to the IRS targeting of conservative organizations to the Justice Department's seizure of media phone records and emails. And now a new scandal, NSA spying on ordinary Americans, is rocking Washington and the nation. Newsmax magazine's Special Report "Abuse of Power" is just out. For the first time, the Special Report offers an in-depth look at the scandals engulfing the Obama Administration. We also reveal the inside strategy Congress will use to unravel these scandals in the coming months. Already, congressional insiders tell Newsmax that investigators are focusing on the same question asked during Watergate: What did the president know and when did he know it? So far, the White House says President Barack Obama was not involved in key decisions involving Benghazi, the wiretaps on Fox News and the IRS matter. But congressional investigator ...
Over the last thirty years, the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies has grown from a small group of disaffected conservative law students into an organization with extraordinary influence over American law and politics. Although the organization is unknown to the average citizen, this group of intellectuals has managed to monopolize the selection of federal judges, take over the Department of Justice, and control legal policy in the White House. Today the Society claims that 45,000 conservative lawyers and law students are involved in its activities. Four Supreme Court Justices--Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, and Samuel Alito--are current or former members. Every single federal judge appointed in the two Bush presidencies was either a Society member or approved by members. During the Bush years, young Federalist Society lawyers dominated the legal staffs of the Justice Department and other important government agencies. The Society has lawyer chapters in every major city i ...
Why "Veil" by Bob Woodward is a load of crap, especially the section about Lebanon in the 80s... Why didn't David Gregory ever grill Bob Woodward for leaking CIA secrets? The Watergate Scandal has now come full circle. Much lauded Washington Post “sleuth” reporter Bob Woodward, who made his career on the political downfall of the Nixon administration over Watergate has now landed smack in the middle of another presidential scandal. However, this time Woodward is not reporting on the scandal – he is one of the key subjects involved in it. It turns out that Woodward was one of the reporters involved in the CIA “Leakgate” scandal involving a criminal conspiracy by the Bush White House to expose the covert CIA status of the wife of a noted administration war critic, Ambassador Joseph Wilson. Woodward was called before Justice Department special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald to answer questions about his being told by a senior White House official in June 2003 about the covert CIA identity of Wilson ...
When your nation becomes a joke. Simon Tisdale, CNN: "Very Important People are making themselves ridiculous in vintage Tom Wolfe style. High on the list is John Kerry, U.S. Secretary of State. Huffing and puffing, Kerry warned China and Russia of "consequences" if, as seems probable, they have conspired to deliberately thwart U.S. justice by twisting the long arm of the law. Like too many American politicians, Kerry seems to believe "the law" is what the White House Counsel and U.S. Justice Department deem it to be on any given day, and that this made-in-America "law" applies inexorably to every country and every corner of the world. Wrong, John. It's like invading somebody else's country without a U.N. Security Council resolution, or entering a home without a warrant. Not advisable, unless you relish hand-to-hand combat and endless sarcasm." Oh, yes. Welcome to Warrantless Amerika, where the world is at our mercy.
(Reuters) - The United States increased pressure on Russia on Monday to hand over Edward Snowden, the American charged with disclosing secret U.S. surveillance programs, and said it believed he was still in Moscow. Snowden, until recently a contractor with the U.S. National Security Agency, had been expected to fly to Havana from Moscow on Monday, perhaps on the way to Ecuador, according to sources at the Russian airline Aeroflot who spoke on Sunday. But he was not seen on the daily Aeroflot flight that landed in Havana on Monday evening and the captain of the plane said he had not been aboard. White House spokesman Jay Carney, speaking hours after the Moscow-Havana flight took off, said it was Washington's assumption that Snowden was still in Russia and pressed Russia to use all options to expel him to the United States. The U.S. State Department said diplomats and Justice Department officials were engaged in discussions with Russia, suggesting they were looking for a deal to secure his return. "Given ou ...
Tell the lies enough. Almost everything that IRS officials have reported about the agency’s unlawful targeting of conservative groups has proven false. IRS malfeasance was not limited only to the Cincinnati office, as alleged, but followed directives sent from higher-ups in Washington. Lois Lerner confessed to the scandal only through a rigged public query by a planted questioner, designed to preempt an upcoming critical Inspector General’s report. There is legitimate dispute over both the number and the purpose of former IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman’s visits to the White House and nearby executive office buildings, but he did his credibility no good by snidely remarking to Congress that at least one of those visits was to take his kids to the White House Easter Egg Roll. Attorney General Eric Holder — who had already been held in contempt by the House of Representatives for declining to turn over internal Justice Department documents in the earlier Fast And Furious scandal — swore to Congre ...

The following was the address given Wednesday at the nation's Capitol to the Tea Party Patriot Rally, "Audit the IRS" by Restore America's Voice Chairman Ken Hoagland. I want you to remember this name: Bob Bauer. The next time Congressman Elijah Cummings says that the IRS abuse was just rogue agents, remember that name. Bob Bauer. Members of the press, remember that name. He was the top lawyer at the Democratic National Committee. He was Senator Barack Obama's mentor, he was White House Counsel and then General Counsel for the Obama-Biden campaign and he sent memo after memo to the Justice Department, the IRS and "all interested parties" urging them to go after law-abiding citizens who wanted to end voter fraud and exercise their rights to stop an out-of-control government. This abuse of Americans was directed from Washington and at the very highest levels of the Obama Administration and campaign. No natural disaster or foreign enemy has hurt us as much as our own government. The economic collapse that st ...

I wonder if this week will bring a new Obama scandal. But one thing is for *** sure, whatever that scandal is, you can bet the American mainstream media will be playing catch up and not carrying the glory of breaking a story about a major White House scandal. Fact: Over the past few weeks, four major scandals have broken over the Obama Administration, and it is a very sad (and frightening) truth that our pathetic, American, lapdog mainstream media is not responsible for breaking even a single one. Verizon? Nope, not our guys. That was the Brits over at The Guardian. IRS? Nope, not our guys. The IRS broke their own scandal with a planted question. The Justice Department’s seizure of Associated Press phone records? Nope, not our guys. Believe it or not, the Associated Press didn’t even break that story. Like the IRS, we only found out because the Justice Department outted itself in a letter notifying the AP of what it had done. Benghazi? Are you kidding. With a couple of rare exceptions (Jake Tapper, .. ...

All for a safer America? How should we process current events in the presence of recent White House scandals and misuse of law and policy? Is this recklessness due to pee-poor leadership or intentional re-direction? In reality it doesn't matter since the eventual outcome will be the same - gross loss of our constitutional rights. Scandals in the IRS, Justice Department, State Department (Benghazi), the president moving key people around to avoid redress, attacking/intimidation of reporters, our government grabbing phone records of millions of Americans plus seven years of monitoring social networks (FB for example). Recently, I heard our president say Al Qaeda and that ilk have been effectively sterilized and any threat will come from small groups. If so, why are we ramping up national surveillance? In possession of this apparent permeation of data, how did they miss the Boston bombers? Makes you wonder if there collection of this data is for reasons other than National Security. Earlier this week I dro . ...
***Holder Says He Won't Step Down, Has 'Great Respect' for Journalists U.S. AG (A-rrogant G-eneral) Eric Holder told NBC News on Wednesday that he has no plans to resign for the time being and insisted that he has "great respect" for the news media despite signing off on requests by his Justice Department to examine the phone and email records of journalists. "There's some things that I want to do, some things that I want to get done that I’ve discussed with the president, and once I have finished that I'll sit down with him and we’ll determine when it’s time to make a transition to a new Attorney General," Holder told NBC's Pete Williams in an exclusive interview. "But to be clear, you’re not stepping down now?" Williams pressed. "No, I have no intention of doing so now," Holder replied. A number of prominent Republican lawmakers have called for Holder’s resignation in recent weeks and some White House advisers have expressed frustration over Holder's apparent inability to have foreseen problem ...
Why is Obama Hiding 6,000-Page Report on Bush-Era Torture and Why is Torture Still Allowed? President Barack Obama is currently blocking the release—or allowing the CIA to block the release—of a comprehensive Senate report on the use of to...rture by the George W. Bush administration CIA that is said to conclude that torture was not an effective or reliable method of interrogation and that the agency repeatedly misled the White House, the Justice Department, and Congress about its interrogation efforts. Initiated by Senate Intelligence Committee Chair Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-West Virginia) and continued by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-California) when she succeeded him in 2009, the Senate torture probe entailed about six years of work and the review of 6 million pages of documents. In December 2012, the committee voted out the report on a mostly party line vote. Since that time, the report has been stuck in limbo at the CIA, with Director John Brennan refusing to state when his review will be complete, an ...
Wednesday, May 29, 2013 Delegating the Blame by Burt Prelutsky Until the current administration came along, never in American history had so many people claimed to be taking responsibility without taking even the least little bit. Some leaders take pride in knowing how to delegate responsibility. Obama and his crew only know how to delegate blame. It’s been a while, but surely you recall that when we heard about the Justice Department funneling guns to Mexican drug cartels, Attorney General Eric Holder swore he had no idea who green-lighted Operation Fast & Furious, but he was darn certain it wasn’t him. When someone in the White House leaked National Security secrets intended to make the president look competent in foreign affairs to the NY Times, everyone with an active brain cell was certain the leaker was Barack Obama, but Obama had a hunch it was some tourist from Nebraska who just happened to be passing through the White House before tours were curtailed because of that doggone sequester. Hillar ...
Listening to the White House briefing with Jay Carney, he refers questions regarding the duplicitous nature of the Holder testimony as compared to the Holder sworn warrant for the Fox News Reporter... He refers those questions to the Justice Department. As far as the White House, the matter has been taken care of. There is no there there.
"The ratings are out, and MSNBC has hit a 7-year low with their coverage of the scandals swirling around the White House. Let's face it. We just don't have the military capability to protect our Middle East diplomats and the president's suits at the same time." --comedian Argus Hamilton "Jesus was merciful to tax collectors -- but the ones who repented, not those who invoked the 5th." --columnist David Limbaugh "Time magazine found a picture of President Obama at his high school prom back in 1979. Let me tell you how long ago that was. Back then, Obama had to ask a girl for her phone number. He couldn't illegally obtain it through the Justice Department." --comedian Jay Leno Semper Vigilo, Fortis, Paratus et Fidelis!
Triplegate: It’s Like Saul Alinsky is Running the Country Written By : Rachel Alexander May 25, 2013 With three full-blown scandals currently surrounding the Obama Administration, there are too many “-gates” to name just one. There is the cover-up of the fatal Benghazi terrorist attack, the IRS targeting conservatives, and the Justice Department spying on members of the press. The level of corruption is so high right now, it is like Saul Alinsky is running the White House. Alinsky, the radical activist who wrote Rules for Radicals, which he dedicated to Satan, taught the radical left to use dishonest tactics in order to achieve their agenda – “by any means necessary.” He advocated lying and harassing those with opposing viewpoints. Both Obama and Hillary Clinton were deeply influenced by Alinsky. Alinsky biographer Sanford Howitt has said Obama’s 2008 election campaign was influenced by Alinsky, and that Obama followed in his footsteps as a community organizer. Alinsky’s son David wrote in ...
Even a NY Times reporter was investigated for leaks by DoJ Rick Moran If you can't trust your friends, who can you trust? An indication of just how extensive was the Justice Department leak investigations, it appears that even the New York Times was not immune from this administration's mania to track down reporters who broke stories they didn't like: Even before the F.B.I. conducted 550 interviews of officials and seized the phone records of Associated Press reporters in a leak investigation connected to a 2012 article about a Yemen bomb plot, agents had sought the same reporters' sources for two other articles about terrorism. In a separate case last year, F.B.I. agents asked the White House, the Defense Department and intelligence agencies for phone and e-mail logs showing exchanges with a New York Times reporter writing about computer attacks on Iran. Agents grilled officials about their contacts with him, two people familiar with the investigation said. And agents tracing the leak of a highly classif ...
The Militant Vol. 77/No. 21 June 3, 2013 BY JOHN STUDER AND SUSAN LAMONT Revelations of President Barack Obama’s administration targeting political groups and media have exploded since mid-May, shedding light on broader trends toward increasing White House reliance on executive power and encroachments on political rights. Media reports have detailed actions by the Internal Revenue Service to target hundreds of Tea Party conservative groups for special probes of their tax status. This comes in the guise of promoting campaign financial disclosure of influence by “big money” and “special interests.” The agency also singled out supporters of Republican candidates for audits and investigation. At the same time, the Justice Department admits opening far-reaching wiretapping and spy operations against The Associated Press and other reporters. The aim, department officials claim, was to stop leaks to the press from government employees. On May 19 the Washington Post reported that the Justice Department ...

While the three network morning shows on Thursday all promoted President Obama's "renewed focus on transparency" in an upcoming National Security speech, none of the broadcasts made any mention of the administration's deception in the ongoing scandal surrounding the terrorist attack in Benghazi. On NBC's Today, White House correspondent Peter Alexander declared that Obama would be "highlighting new efforts to bring about transparency and even new restriction in the so-called hidden war" while citing "evidence of that renewed focus on transparency" in the form a Justice Department letter to Congress officially acknowledging the already widely-reported fact that drones were used to kill American citizen and terrorist cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki. On ABC's Good Morning America, White House correspondent Jonathan Karl reported: "As part of this effort to be open he acknowledged yesterday the administration, they have killed four Americans tied to Al Qaeda with drone strikes over the past couple years." On CBS This ...
Great Post, so I'm Sharing: " ying, The New American Normal?" There was the Benghazi Scandal, the IRS Scandal, the DOJ Scandal and the little covered but equally alarming Secretary Sebelius scandal. Then we learned that the Justice Department had secretly obtained two months worth of phone call records for more than 100 Associated Press reporters. This is the largest violation of the First Amendment in modern times and so we now have four scandals in the Obama Administration. The White House wants Americans to believe the four scandals are all, in one way or another, the rogue acts of insignificant subordinates. They want us to believe that a few misguided but well-meaning IRS agents in regional offices took the initiative to persecute and harass conservatives in an election year. They want us to believe that repeated requests for more security at the Benghazi compound were ignored by fourth-tier bureaucrats at the State Department, never making it to the Department’s leadership. That the talking point ...
On the Friday before Memorial day, the IRS was closed due to sequestration while the rest of Washington just plain didn't work. Eric Holder stunned the town by showing up at his desk after HuffPost called for his head yesterday. And President Obama forgot to salute the Marine guarding his helicopter but made up for it by giving him a White House umbrella. This is HUFFPOST HILL for Friday, May 24th, 2013: WHITE HOUSE WANTED TO KEEP ROSEN SUBPOENAS UNDER WRAPS - New Yorker: "The Obama Administration fought to keep a search warrant for James Rosen's private e-mail account secret, arguing to a federal judge that the government might need to monitor the account for a lengthy period of time. The new details are revealed in a court filing detailing a back and forth between the Justice Department and the federal judges who oversaw the request to search a Gmail account belonging to Rosen, a reporter for Fox News. A 2009 article Rosen had written about North Korea sparked an investigation; Ronald C. Machen, Jr., th ...
"So far, there are three major issues -- the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservatives, the Justice Department's secret media probe and the circumstances surrounding the murder of the U.S. ambassador to Libya in Benghazi last Sept. 11. White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, speaking on CNN, dismissed "the premise, the idea that these were scandals." However, voters see it differently. Just over half believe EACH of the three qualifies as a scandal. Only one out of eight sees them as no big deal. Voters also reject the notion that the IRS targeting was the work of some low-level rogue employees...Among unaffiliated voters, Republicans enjoy a 23-point advantage on the ethics front. Before the controversies, it was a toss-up." ~ pollster Scott Rasmussen, May 24, 2013.
FALSE SCANDALS The scandal frenzy began when ABC News' Jonathan Karl falsely reported that White House emails had "taken out" "all references to al Queda and all references to CIA warnings before the attack about the terror threat in Benghazi." He said that these emails "show that many of these changes were directed by Hillary Clinton's spokesperson ..." But a couple of days later CNN broke the news that the emails Karl used for his ABC report were edited by Republicans to make it appear they said these things. Parts of the edited emails Karl used were "inaccurate" and "invented" to make the administration and State Department look bad. (The word "fabricated" comes to mind.) Hm... Next came a story that the Justice Department had looked at records of AP reporters to see who in the administration had leaked a story. The story was that an informer high up in al Queda in Yemen had delivered a new kind of bomb to target airliners, while the government was still analyzing how to detect it and the informer was ...

Kinda how I feel. Rarely has the White House briefing room so resembled the main ballroom at a meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference. After news broke of a sweeping Justice Department subpoena of The Associated Press telephone records, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney didn’t so much have to deal with querulous reporters pressing him on all fronts. He had to deal with citizens bristling with anger over perceived encroachments on their rights by an overweening government. The AP subpoena is the media’s Obamacare. Their Glenn Beck is AP President Gary Pruitt; their Tea Party Express is the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press; and their rallying cry is “Give me liberty or give me death!” The reaction to the seizure of records on 20 office and personal lines of AP staff is another reminder, if we needed one, that what the press cares about most is itself. The New York Times sniffed at the Internal Revenue Service scandal. It didn’t even put the initial story on the fr ...
Bill O'Reilly is a disgrace. This morning on the Laura Ingraham show, about all the support he gave for his peer James Rosen on Fox News was, "I hope he doesn't go to jail", as he clearly staked out a position that distanced himself from Rosen. Fox executives have since weighed in with complete support for Rosen, and Brit Hume just offered unequivocal support. This is an attack on the First Amendment, as are the IRS attacks of intimidation of anyone and groups professing love for America. Make no mistake it is all being orchestrated by the White House, trying to strike fear into anyone found donating to the Tea Party, conservative groups, and even republicans. We are in a war against this White House and Justice Department, and House Republicans and We The People better attack back soon before its too late. Bill O'Reilly, you are a *** coward, and shame on you!!!
Benghazi Narrative Shift Was Perfectly Clintonian Jack Cashill FROM THE AMERICAN THINKER "We've seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing do to with," said Hillary Clinton to the families of the four Americans killed at Benghazi and others gathered at a September 2012 memorial service. Her boss, President Barack Obama, had been reciting the same lie in one forum after another in the days following the September 11 attack on the American outpost in Benghazi. To give the lie credence, his Justice Department immured the producer of the video, a Coptic Christian named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, in a West Texas prison. Obama appeared to be taking his cues from the Clinton playbook, improvised in their desperate effort to retain the White House after the electoral debacle of November 1994: Shift the narrative, ridicule the critics, bury the truth tellers. To pull this off, the Clintons would be called upon to shift the narrative no fewer than five time ...
It's easy to tell that President Obama is going through a scandal-ridden “tough time” since he's even under fire from Jon Stewart, host of “The Daily Show” on the Comedy Central cable channel, who said on Tuesday that the Democratic occupant of the White House “can't keep saying you found out about news at the same time as us!” The liberal comedian said he found it strange that the president didn't learn much sooner about the Internal Revenue Service persecuting groups with “Tea Party” or “Patriot” in their names and the Justice Department confiscating phone records about Associated Press reporters. Stewart's first salvo dealt with the fact that during his Press Conference on Monday with David Cameron, prime minister of the United Kingdom, Obama restricted questions from the press to a “limit of one, total, from the entire American press corps” in attendance. However, Julie Pace, White House correspondent for the Associated Press, dodged that restriction by combining four queries i ...
From the Shanghai Daily: Obama fires back at scandal claims Publish Time: 2013-05-17 00:36:43 US President Barack Obama yesterday confronted three alleged scandals Republicans claim are evidence of abuse of power and cover-ups. They concerned an assault last year on a US mission in Libya, the targeting of conservative groups by tax officials and a Justice Department trawl of reporters' phone records. The White House released 100 pages of e-mails which it said debunked Republican charges it had covered up the true circumstances of last year's Benghazi attack, which killed four Americans. Then, Obama sacked the acting head of the Internal Revenue Service, Steven Miller, and pledged full cooperation with Congress over claims the agency had unfairly investigated right-wing groups hostile to his White House. "Given the controversy surrounding this audit, it's important to institute new leadership that can help restore confidence going forward," Obama said. The president pledged to work directly with Congress a ...

Barry Wilkins shared Dogs Against Obama Eating Them's photo. Here's what we learned from today's White House briefing conducted by Jay "my days are numbered" Carney. 1. Despite IRS officials admitting they targeted conservative groups, he couldn't comment until the White House had received the official Inspector General report. 2. He couldn't comment on the Justice Department's seizure of the Associate Press phone records due to the "ongoing criminal investigation and National Security concerns." 3. National Security concerns trump media First Amendment rights. 4. For the most part the White House didn't know, wasn't responsible, and couldn't comment on the specifics. 5. Comparisons between Nixon and Obama are overblown. Folks, this is what you get when you put a community organizer in charge.

Of course 'our leader' is accountable. For a moment, let’s all forget about Fast & Furious and how the Justice Department failed. Again, let’s forget about Benghazi and the whole side-show orchestrated from the White House. No one else could have ordered the CIA, the Military, and the State Department, to stand down and do absolutely nothing. We now have a ‘strutting peacock’ as the leader of the Free World. Impervious to questions regarding the Benghazi attack or Fast & Furious. The statistics have always proven that the concealed carrying of firearms is effective in every State that allows it. The Gun Control advocates have been proven that their ‘Jim Crow Laws’ are useless; time and time again. [Incidentally, the Jim Crow Laws, were designed by the democRats to stop former slaves from having guns. Similarly these democRats, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK)and poll taxes, were started to keep them from voting.] Haven’t these progressive liberal extremists seen the light yet? They have pill ...
THIS IS AMUST READ FOR CALIFORNIA VOTERS! WH METTLING IN "STATE BUSINESS" THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. GROSS ABUSE OF POWER! By enlisting the Justice Department, the White House is using Americans' own resources against them to take away their ability to participate in the democratic process. THAT"S NOT EQUIALITY--IT"S TYRANNY." Obama Jilts Voters at the Altar When the President promised change, most people assumed he was talking about America--not his own policy positions. But after yesterday's decision on California's Proposition 8, the Potomac may actually be less fluid than this White House's stance on marriage. After years of insisting the debate is a state issue, the President peeled back another layer of hypocrisy by arguing the exact opposite in a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court. Although conservatives have come to expect this kind of duplicity from President Obama, the announcement was all the more stunning coming on the heels of the Justice Department's other brief in the case to strike down the ...
WASHINGTON (AP) — A White House commitment to provide lawmakers with additional information about the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, may have cleared the way for a vote later this week on President Barack Obama's nominee for CIA director, the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Monday. Republicans had demanded the records as a condition of moving forward with John Brennan's confirmation. "The administration has agreed to provide the material, (and) some of it is going to be provided tomorrow," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. "It is my hope that that is sufficient and we will be able to schedule the nomination for a vote on Thursday." But Feinstein also said the Obama Administration has not yet responded to the committee's request for more details about the classified Justice Department legal opinions that justify using unmanned spy planes to kill al-Qaida suspects overseas, including American citizens. Feinstein said she still needs to consult with the co ...
There Oughta Be a Law' February 22, 2013 "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them." --Richard Henry Lee, Federal Farmer XVIII Joe Biden, holding the only acceptable firearm Ever since the mass murder at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, the Left has rabidly pursued all manner of unconstitutional Gun Control legislation. Federal, state and local, the NeoComs stop at nothing to deprive us of our unalienable rights, endowed by our Creator. Yet all is not lost as long as we stand firm. The National Institute of Justice, the research branch of the Justice Department, recently leaked a memo evaluating many of the White House's preferred Gun Control measures. For example, the NIJ says that Dianne Feinstein's defensive weapons ban is "unlikely to have an impact on gun violence" because -- wait for it -- those firearms "are not a major contributor to gun crime." Therefore, concludes th ...
Obama Administration takes on hackers stealing Trade Secrets The U.S. is seeking a more muscular response to the growing threat from foreign hackers interested in obtaining U.S. businesses’ Trade Secrets. The response, in the guise of a 150-page report unveiled by Attorney Gen. Eric Holder and other leading government officials on Wednesday, includes new pledges by the Justice Department and FBI to crack down on hacking, a guide for corporations vulnerable to attacks on how to beef up their own security, and a proposal to better coordinate efforts with U.S. allies to prosecute foreign hackers. “In this time of economic recovery, this work is more important than it has ever been before,” Holder said Wednesday at a White House event that outlined the new response. “I am pleased to report we are fighting back more aggressively and collaboratively than ever before.” The announcement comes a day after the Virginia-based Mandiant published a 60-page report that alleges the Chinese government is sponso ...
Mike Huckabee No guns are allowed in the Senate, but there will plenty of fireworks. Today , President Obama’s CIA Director nominee, John Brennan, faces his Senate confirmation hearing. And it could make Chuck Hagel’s grilling look like a baby shower. As Obama’s counter-terrorism chief, Brennan was one of the architects of the policy of using drones to kill terror suspects. Thanks to Monday’s leak of an internal Justice Department memo, we know that the Administration considers it okay to kill US citizens who’ve never even been indicted, even with no evidence that the suspect is planning an imminent attack. Now, politicians in both parties are as upset as the ACLU. Eleven Senators wrote to the White House, demanding to see all legal papers justifying the strikes before Brennan’s hearing. The letter was signed by three Republicans… and eight Democrats. The White House Press Corps even badgered Obama for answers, but he walked out on them, and spokesman Jay Carney dismissed the Senators’ let ...
WHERE ARE THE POLITICIAN VOICES WHEN POLICE OFFICERS MURDERED UNARMED AMERICAN CITIZEN IN AMERICA “DRONE KILLING MORE IMPORTANT??? Administration lawyers found it is lawful to kill an American citizen if a “high-level” government official believes the target is an operational leader of Al Qaeda who poses “an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States” and if capture is infeasible, according to a newly disclosed Justice Department document. The Obama Administration has carried out more than 300 CIA drown strikes in Pakistan, far more than his predecessor, President George W. Bush, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. Pressure is building from Capitol Hill for the White House to outline its legal authority to kill American citizens in counterterrorism operations. Killing anti-American Citizen Terrorist” oversea by way of a Drone is America protecting Americans! Politician against the use of Drones against “anti-American Citizen Terrorist” are hypocritical! President Barack Obama, moving to defuse a battle with Congress, directed the Justice Department on Wednesday to share with key congressional committees secret memos laying out the legal justification for targeted drone-strike assassinations overseas, an aide said. Obama’s decision came as his pick to head the CIA, White House counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan, faced a grilling on the issue Thursday at a confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee. “Today, as part of the president's ongoing commitment to consult with Congress on National Security matters, the president directed the Department of Justice to provide the congressional Intelligence committees access to classified Office of Legal Counsel advice related to the subject" of drone strikes, an administration official said in an emailed statement to reporters. The official requested anonymity to detail behind-the-scenes cooperation between the White House and Congress on a sensitive issue. Senators, notably Democrat and In ...

WASHINGTON -- Uncomfortable with the Obama Administration's use of deadly drones, a growing number in Congress is looking to limit America's authority to kill suspected terrorists, even U.S. citizens. The Democratic-led outcry was emboldened by the revelation in a newly surfaced Justice Department memo that shows drones can strike against a wider range of threats, with less evidence, than previously believed. The drone program, which has been used from Pakistan across the Middle East and into North Africa to find and kill an unknown number of suspected terrorists, is expected to be a top topic of debate when the Senate Intelligence Committee grills John Brennan, the White House's pick for CIA chief, at a hearing Thursday. The White House on Tuesday defended its lethal drone program by citing the very laws that some in Congress once believed were appropriate in the years immediately after the Sept. 11 attacks but now think may be too broad. "It has to be in the agenda of this Congress to reconsider the sco ...
Leading Mainstream And Jihadi Sheikhs Issue Fatwas Beginning In 2000 Allowing Hacking And Other Forms Of Online Attacks Providing Religious Justification For Today's Era Of Cyber Jihad Over the past year, there have been thousands of high-profile hacking attacks against important websites, including those of the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Homeland Security, the White House, the Justice Department, and other government websites, and banks throughout the world. Tens of thousands of other Western websites have also been hacked, some by Muslim "hacktivists" acting on fatwas sanctioning their activities; some of these fatwas were issued by leading mainstream Muslim scholars. Jihadi groups have also used such religious justification for hacking attacks, some of which caused major damage and financial loss online. Already this year, on January 7, 2013, police in Thailand arrested an Algerian cyber-crime suspect sought by the FBI for allegedly stealing millions of dollars by hacking banks' websites. The susp ...
Hmm...I'm pretty much on fire right now as I'm re-reading "The Bystander"...On page 1 as the author details the unrest in Summer of 1963 he mentions Thelton Henderson, the first black attorney in the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division who who warned that the situation in Danville, VA was "terribly tense and Negroes are about to shoot." Wouldn't it be interesting if he was briefing JFK, RFK and LBJ in the as Strom Thurmond and his cronies are escorted into the Oval Office?? Oh, the air conditioning in the White House will not be working on the day of the Strom/JFK showdown. : )

United States District Court Judge Colleen McMahon wrote in her finding this week that the Obama Administration was largely in the right by rejecting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and The New York Times for materials pertaining to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to execute three US citizens abroad in late 2011 [pdf]. Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan, both US nationals with alleged ties to al-Qaeda, were killed on September 30 of that year using drone aircraft; days later, al-Awlaki’s teenage son, Abdulrahman al-Awlak ...

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News that intelligence officials who testified in a closed-door hearing a day earlier, including Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell, said they did not know who changed the talking points. He said they went out to multiple departments, including the State Department, National Security Council, Justice Department and White House.

After yesterday's closed-door testimony of David Petraeus on the Hill, we now know for a fact that for two weeks the Obama Administration repeatedly and relentlessly lied to the American People about what they knew was the truth behind the September 11 anniversary attack on our consulate in Libya. Unfortunately, we also now know that they're going to get away with it. Within 24 hours of a coordinated assault that left four Americans dead, then-CIA Director David Petraeus was convinced the intelligence proved a local Libyan militia affiliated with al-Qaeda was responsible, and said so in his report. Then the Petraeus report was edited (probably by Eric Holder's Justice Department) to remove the terror angle and pile the blame on a spontaneous protest over a YouTube video. Over the course of two weeks, this blatantly false Narrative would only grow and sharpen, even though all knew it was a lie -- and by "all," I mean the White House, the terrorists, the media, and anyone with an IQ above room temperature. ...
The Obama regime wasted little time after the election in naming people for key cabinet positions, particularly the secretaries of State and Defense and the U.S. Attorney General. Naturally, good Americans should be concerned about each expected pick. Obama showed utter contempt for the American (and, we might add, Mexican) people by asking Attorney General Eric Holder to remain at the Justice Department. Holder's department ran that fabulous failure known as Operation Fast And Furious, which caused two American and hundreds of Mexican deaths. Holder shouldn't serve again, unless it's serving time. Meanwhile, at State, Obama appears to have settled on UN Ambassador Susan Rice to replace the exiting Hillary Clinton. Rice came under tremendous criticism for her dogged defense of the White House's initial excuse for the Benghazi attack as an unplanned riot over an anti-Islam YouTube video. The White House knew within hours, if not minutes, that the Benghazi consulate was attacked by terrorists, so Rice is a ...
FBI SOURCE: PETRAEUS CASE HELD UNTIL AFTER ELECTION TO NOT HURT OBAMA POLITICALLY Posted on November 10, 2012 at 3:28pm by Madeleine Morgenstern Print »Email » Comments (345) Outgoing CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus’ resignation over an extramarital affair was reportedly held until after Tuesday’s election to avoid “potential embarrassment” for President Barack Obama, according to Newsmax. FBI agents learned of the affair while monitoring Petraeus’ emails out of concern that the woman, Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell, may have had access to his personal account, the Associated Press reported. But an FBI source told Ronald Kessler, the author and journalist who broke the Secret Service prostitution scandal, that rather than having Petraeus resign immediately, the decision was made to hold it until after the election for political purposes: [T]he White House, with concurrence by the FBI and Justice Department, held off on asking for Petraeus’ resignation until after the election. Veterans Day - Thanks to all that did, are serving - I did. Two of the best years of my life. I was fortunate to be allowed to serve in Washington D.C. as a US Army Intelligence Officer which allowed for official visits to the White House, State Department, Justice Department, Capital Hill, and other US Government Facilities. If I told you what a Ist Lt. got paid at that time, most would not believe me. To me there was nothing more valuable and rewarding than being of service to Our Beautiful United States of America. I believe that mandatory service should still be the law of the Land. To all of those who served, are serving, will serve, those who did not return from combat, we will never forget you. May GOD continue to bless your lives and the lives of your families with good fortune. Love, Blessings , and Best Wishes - TFM
Does anyone know anything about this.Under orders from President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had informed the White House of a vexing problem involving two employees at Foggy Bottom, is herself placed on administrative leave, a de facto paid vacation while a Justice Department investigation runs its course.
Is the Patriot Act an invaluable tool in our fight against terrorism, as the Bush administration would have us believe? Or, rather, is it a blatant violation of the United States Constitution and Americans' civil liberties? With 91 percent of registered voters unaware of the Act's encroachment on civil liberties, the entire dispute might appear unnecessary. Unnecessary, that is, until you take a look at the Act in its entirety -- all of its 342 pages of verbose details and constitutional infractions. Then you will realize that the White House has silently sacrificed our constitutional protections of due process and civil liberties in the name of "National Security." The USA Patriot Act was passed in great haste and secrecy, with little debate by members of Congress, on Oct. 26, 2001. In July 2003, the Inspector General of the Justice Department reported 34 credible cases in which officials illegally abused the powers of the Patriot Act. Another report by the Inspector General found "significant problems" ...
Obama wins right to indefinitely detain Americans under NDAA A lone appeals judge bowed down to the Obama Administration late Monday and reauthorized the White House’s ability to indefinitely detain American citizens without charge or due process. Last week, a federal judge ruled that an temporary injunction on section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 must be made permanent, essentially barring the White House from ever enforcing a clause in the NDAA that can let them put any US citizen behind bars indefinitely over mere allegations of terrorist associations. On Monday, the US Justice Department asked for an emergency stay on that order, and hours later US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Raymond Lohier agreed to intervene and place a hold on the injunction. The stay will remain in effect until at least September 28, when a three-judge appeals court panel is expected to begin addressing the issue. On December 31, 2011, US President Barack Obama signed the ...

Edgar Hoover, who had run the bureau for 48 years and died in May 1972. The president instead chose a politically loyal Justice Department official, L. Patrick Gray III, who later followed orders from the White House to destroy documents in the case. The choice infuriated Mr. Felt. He later wrote that the president “wanted a politician in J. Edgar Hoover’s position who would convert the bureau into an adjunct of the White House machine.” Hoover had sworn off break-ins without warrants — “black bag jobs,” he called them — in 1966, after carrying them out at the F.B.I. for four decades. The Nixon White House hired its own operatives to steal information, plant eavesdropping equipment and hunt down the sources of leaks. The Waterga ...
i want to say it again..GREAT JOB UNIVISION DID IN THIR INTERVIEW Expecting the usual lapdog reception from Univision anchors, Obama instead got perhaps the first tough interview of his presidency. Jorge Ramos grilled Obama on 'Fast And Furious': “I think that up to 100 Mexicans (it was actually 3...00+) might have died and also agent Brian Terry...shouldn’t Eric Holder, he should have known about that and if he didn’t, should you fire him?” When an irritated Obama tried to pretend he has been open with the investigation, despite the Inspector General's statement that the White House had refused to cooperate, Ramos hit back in English: “But if you have nothing to hide, then why are you not releasing papers?” Co-host Maria Elena Salinas followed up: “Let’s have an independent investigation, because at the end of the day, this is the Justice Department investigating its boss and is saying they say is not at fault?” Ramos also accused Obama of breaking his promise on immigration reform. The New York Post has an updated story on the White House and their willingness to release a terrorist to the Muslim Brotherhood. From the NY Post: The Obama Administration is weighing the release of blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman — the spiritual adviser to the 1993 World Trade Center bombers — in a stunning goodwill gesture toward Egypt that has touched off a political firestorm, officials said yesterday. The Egyptian government “asked for his release,” an administration source told The Post — and Rep. Peter King (R-LI) confirmed the request is being considered. The White House, State Department and Justice Department each issued statements denying any deal is in the works, but, “There’s no way to believe anything they say,” said Andrew Mccarthy, the former assistant US attorney who prosecuted Abdel-Rahman. “I believe there may already be a nod-and-wink agreement in place.” Abdel-Rahman, 74, was convicted in 1995 of plotting terror attacks throughout the city and is locked away in the ...
"The Pentagon is having paroxysms over No Easy Day, by Matt Bissonnette (writing as Mark Owen), which hit bookstores earlier this week. ... Bissonnette is therefore putting the secrecy apparatus of the United States to the test, and we will soon learn just how broken, politicized, and hypocritical the system really is. If the Justice Department refrains from airdropping lawyers onto the SEAL’s hometown, it will send a message that nondisclosure agreements are mere formalities. But if it does go after Bissonnette, it will signal that the only leaks actively pursued are those inconvenient to the White House. After all, if the Justice Department really cared about illegal revelations of the Osama Bin Laden raid, half of the West Wing would be in chains today."
Stellar Wind is the open secret code name for certain information collection activities performed by the United States' National Security Agency and revealed by Thomas M. Tamm to New York Times reporters James Risen and Eric Lichtblau. The operation was approved by President George W. Bush shortly after the September 11 attacks in 2001. The program's activities involve data mining of a large database of the communications of American citizens, including e-mail communications, phone conversations, financial transactions, and Internet activity. There were internal disputes within the Justice Department about the legality of the program, because data is collected for large numbers of people, not just the subjects of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants. In March 2004, the Justice Department under Attorney General John Ashcroft ruled that the program was illegal. The day after the ruling, Ashcroft became critically ill with acute pancreatitis. President Bush sent White House Counsel Alberto Gon ...
Despite the SEIU/Organizing for America/White House organization and support of the Occupy Movement against capitalism, the free enterprise system, and the American Constitutional Republic, Obama and his Attorney General have refused to follow the law and prosecute their capitalist buddy and campaign fundraiser/supporter, Democrat Jon Corzine, of Goldman Sachs. Corzine, in his testimony before a Congressional Oversight Committee, refused to tell the Committee where all the millions of dollars missing from Goldman Sachs went, leaving their depositors and investors out in the cold. Under the George W. Bush USDOJ, Corzine and Goldman Sachs would have already been fully investigated and held accountable. Under this lawless administration and Justice Department, Corzine has been allowed to skate.
Read about how the DOJ and White House were involved with the Black Panther case threatening the voters. Tom Fitton Court Rules DOJ Politicized Black Panther Case, Awards JW Court Fees Judicial Watch has been confident for some time that the evidence shows that political appointees at the Holder Justice Department were involved in the decision to abandon the DOJ's own voter intimidation lawsuit against the New Black Panther Party. And we've also been concerned that at least one high ranking Justice Department official lied about it under oath. And in a major victory for Judicial Watch, a federal court seems to agree with our analysis of this continuing scandal. The ruling came courtesy of Judge Reggie B. Walton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in response to Judicial Watch's effort to obtain attorney's fees from the Justice Department for stonewalling the release of documents pertaining to the Black Panther scandal. Here's the key quote from Judge Walton's ruling: The documents reve ...
Barack Obama cracks me up. That’s not easy to do for a wannabe tyrant with no respect for the Constitution, one who has systematically concealed every meaningful document about his personal history, one who has “fundamentally transformed America” into something much less than the Shining City on a hill Ronald Reagan envisioned, one who personally directed his White House and Justice Department to run guns to Mexican drug cartels so they could be used to kill at least U.S. law enforcement agents and probably hundreds of U.S. and Mexican civilians." -Joseph Farah

Obama wins big in Supreme Court health care ruling By: Jonathan Allen and Jennifer Haberkorn June 28, 2012 11:38 AM EDT The Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama’s signature health care law Thursday, handing him a monumental legal victory, enshrining the centerpiece of his agenda and ensuring that the pitched political battle over the nation’s health care laws will continue through the November election. In the court’s most consequential decision since it awarded the presidency to George W. Bush in 2000, Chief Justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee, joined with the court’s liberal wing to validate the entire law, including its controversial “individual mandate.” In siding for the first time with liberals on a 5-4 decision, Roberts intertwined the legacy of his court with that of Obama’s presidency. (PHOTOS: Supreme Court upholds health law) Obama quickly declared victory, praising the ruling in a statement from the White House. “Whatever the politics, today’s decision was a victory ...

This morning (Wednesday, 20 June 2012) Obama issued an Executive Privilege order covering the Congressional investigation of Eric Holder's Justice Department's "Operation Fast And Furious". Executive Privilege can only be invoked for matters over which the White House has or had direct knowledge and control. This means that Obama is directly involved with “Fast And Furious”. He has signed his own political death warrant.
VOTER ID DOJ Attorney General, Eric Holder's opposition to voter ID laws is a pitiful as it is bizaarre. Never mind that you need to produce photo IDs to get into the DOJ building where Holder's office is or even for a White House tour. Requiring a photo ID is no more discriminatory at the ballot box than it is discriminatory to get in the Justice Department building. In order to limit voter fraud, nine states require a photo ID before voting and eighteen others allow a non-photo form of ID. Holder has used the Voting Rights Act to stop the implementation of voter ID requirements in Texas and South Carolina. He now is in court to block Florida from ensuring that only legal voters are voting. How bizzare is that? Every illegal vote offsets a legal vote from a citizen. The Supreme Court already upheld a voter ID law in an Indiana case in a different context back in 2008. That, by the way, was the same year when two members of the New Black Panther Party stood outside a Philadelphia polling place taun ...
Boy! Things have gotten really quiet after the Wisconsin election. Has anyone noticed that today Eric Holder actually threatened the House Committee with a Constitutional Crisis? Does anyone believe that he doesn't have more brass than a pawn broker? One of the two special prosecutors he has appointed to investigate the leaks that threaten our National Security is an is an employee of the Justice Department, is an Obama supporter, has contributed to Obama's campaign, was hired by Holder in 1997 and has served on Obama's committee to vet Vice Presidential candidates. How impartial do you think he could be heading up an investigation into the white house? Folks, it is really time to put all the pressure on our elected officials...Senators and Congressmen. John Cornyn did a masterful job of reading Holder the riot act today. We need to get with the program.
Attorney General Eric Holder said that internal Justice Department emails that use the phrase "Fast And Furious" did not refer to the gun-walking operation Fast And Furious. Actually, they were just referring to the White House walk-back operation in charge of surrogates.

~ We All Have a Choice in the 2012 Election ~ By Joan Ruaiz If the worse-case scenario were to occur and we end up with a President other than Barack Obama (which is not out of the realm of possibility, as there are powerful forces working *** this as we speak), what will happen then? How will you feel when you have to look at this new President on the television. a President who talks in bumper sticker slogans, while being divisive. ideologically driven, and grossly arrogant, and who governs with regard to his own base and not all Americans? How will you feel when the new President nominates partisan cabinet members like Phil Gramm for Treasury, Jeb Bush for the Justice Department, John Kasich for the Office of Management and Budget, Scott Walker for Labor Secretary, Paul Ryan for Health and Human Services, Rudy Giuliani as Secretary of State, John McCain as Secretary of Defense, and Newt Gingrich as UN Ambassador? A new video series warns than an effort to overthrow the American system already is well under way through the “civilization jihad” of the Muslim Brotherhood, with the support of key U.S. government leaders, including Barack Obama. Radical Muslims have penetrated “team Obama,” according to the series, which examines six individuals who have been allowed into high positions. The consequent danger is “acute,” according to the video makers.
