The United States is a “violator” of human rights and it practices apartheid against the black people, a researcher and historian in Washington says. Dr. Randy Short made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Thursday while commenting on a report which says the US Justice Department will recommend that no Civil Rights charges be brought against a white police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, last summer. “There is not a living soul that is African and American in the United States that expected the United States Justice of Department to bring any charges against Darren Wilson, as it has done nothing in the cases of thousands and thousands of African Americans murdered by the law enforcement for decades,” Dr. Short said. “What’s most insulting is a fraud that Mr. Eric Holder, who allegedly resigned from being Attorney General, was Obama’s appointed person to go to Paris, France, for the Charlie Hebdo false flag shooting, as the representati ...

The Reagan administration concocted a new category: terrorist states. They declared a war on terror as soon as they entered office in the early 1980s, 1981. 'We have to defend ourselves from the plague of the modern age, return to barbarism, the evil scourge of terrorism,' and so on, and particularly state-directed international terrorism. A few Years Later — Clinton devised the concept of rogue states. ’It’s 1994, we have to defend ourselves from rogue states.’ Then, later on came the failed states, which either threaten our security, like Iraq. Leading scholars, Samuel Huntington and others, observed that — in the major journals, Foreign Affairs — that in most of the world, much of the world, the United States is regarded as the leading rogue state and the greatest threat to their existence. The United States has become a leading rogue state. Surely, it’s a terrorist state under its own definition of international terrorism, not only carrying out violent terrorist acts and supporting them, ...

Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole Delivers Remarks at His Farewell Ceremony Washington, DC United States ~ Thursday, January 8, 2015 After hearing all these wonderful speeches, I'm reluctant to get up and say anything. I should just quit while I'm ahead. But I can't resist the opportunity to say a few things. First, I have to thank the President for placing his trust in me and giving me this incredible opportunity. I also want thank everyone in my office. All I’ve done is only a reflection of their good work. But in particular, Stuart Goldberg, my Principle Associate, for being such a valuable source of advice and for driving so much of what we accomplished and Melanie Dix, my confidential assistant, for tackling one of the most complicated day-in and day-out schedules ever known to mankind and in so many ways keeping my office going. I also want to thank our speakers. Bob Litt. I’ve known him for years. Over the past few years, he has had a very difficult job, dealing with some of the most ch ...
Pension Fund Run By Wall Street Cited In Push To Cut Retiree Benefits Six years after the financial crisis, the economic aftershocks are still rattling the halls of Congress -- this time in a debate over an esoteric pension provision tucked into an end-of-year budget bill. Though that legislation, known as the “cromnibus,” is supposed to be about annual appropriations for government agencies, lawmakers have inserted language that would give private pension plans the power to cut benefits to thousands of current retirees whose pension savings were decimated by investment losses from the financial collapse of 2008. If the initiative is enacted, experts say, it would be the most consequential change to retirement policy in the United States since the passage of landmark pension legislation 40 years ago. Altering the 1974 Employee Retirement Income Security Act to permit benefit cuts could prompt a slew of efforts to chip away at formerly untouchable guarantees of income to millions of retirees. The $1.1 ...

The US Justice Department has yet to announce any investigation into reports that white supremacist terrorists have been working in the The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department. The five deputies are under investigation for hundreds of explicitly racist text messages they exchanged both on and off duty. The US Attorney for the region has not indicated that it;s office will investigate the terrorist cell for anything let alone charge them with any specific crimes. In the United States, even if the deputies are fired, they can turn up and be hired at other police departments to continue their terrorist acts against the public. The Federal Government must do more to prosecute these cases if it wants to be taken serious. Since the US Government are not being serious about the safety of all its so-called citizens, various people and groups have proposed that black military veterans once again take a lead role in providing non-governmental security for communities most affected by the state sponsored police ...

from Senator Barbara Boxer re: Ferguson Police Department Today, following the grand jury's decision in the tragic death of Missouri teenager Michael Brown, I wrote to Attorney General Eric Holder urging the Justice Department to complete a thorough investigation of the Ferguson Police Department. The full text of my letter follows. The Honorable Eric H. Holder, Jr. Attorney General of the United States 950 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20530-0001 Dear Attorney General Holder: I am writing to express my strong support for the Department of Justice investigation into whether the Ferguson Police Department has engaged in discriminatory policing practices. It is imperative that we find out if there is a pattern and practice of Civil Rights violations in Ferguson. The heartbreaking death of Michael Brown is only the latest of too many such tragedies that we have seen all across this country. So many of these tragedies are born out of distrust between the police department and the local community. Wh . ...

(A Long Read, but Very Informative.) Iceland’s Random Republic overthrown by Corporations December 13, 2013. Iceland. The UK’s Guardian recently asked why news of the five-year Icelandic revolution has been banned in the United States. Americans receive hourly media reports of revolt from the Middle East and the rest of Europe. But Iceland’s popular uprising instituted something that is apparently too despised and dangerous for Americans to learn of – the corporate overthrow of democracy. Icelanders voted to disolve their Constitution and ceate a new one. But their two ruling parties simply refused to disolve Occupy Wall Street, the Tea Party, Green Party, Libertarian Party and all the rest fighting for a legitimate US government free from the iron grip of criminal corporations and the world’s billionaires – Listen up! Your future has just played out in Iceland and we lost, we all lost. The Icelandic revolution When Wall Street’s largest global banks destroyed the world’s economy by gambli ...

This abortion of Reagan's American Militia started in the Bush 41 Administration in a 1991 initiated operation called PATCON, which was instigated to collect intelligence on Citizens who were Christian and Armed, and move them to acts of violence. FORT LAUDERDALE Fla. (Reuters) - A former top banker who headed global wealth management at UBS AG ( UBSN.VX ) (UBS.N ) was found not guilty on Monday on U.S. charges of conspiring with wealthy Americans to hide $20 billion in secret offshore accounts. Raoul Weil, the highest-ranking Swiss banker to stand trial in the United States, was accused in South Florida Federal Court of conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service. The verdict was a major setback to the U.S. Justice Department which spent six years seeking to prosecute Weil, including extraditing him from Italy last year. The jury took only 75 minutes to reach its verdict after a three-week trial that ended abruptly on Monday when Weil's defense team decided not to call any witnesses, saying the government had failed to make its case. The defense team jumped up in joy as the verdict was read. Weil, 54, held his sobbing wife in a lengthy embrace. "The jury sent a strong message to the government. This case should never have been brought," sai ...
Eric Holder, who recently resigned as Attorney General and has been widely praised for his efforts at combating drug addiction was responsible for allowing Mexican drug cartels to obtain firearms smuggled into Mexico from the United States. It now seems Holder may also be responsible for providing the cartels with much more than firearms: "Gunwalking" subpoena for AG Holder imminent CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, who has reported on this story from the beginning, said on "The Early Show" that the investigation into the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF)'s so-called "Fast and Furious" operation branches out to a case involving grenades. Sources tell her a suspect was left to traffic and manufacture them for Mexican drug cartels. Police say Jean Baptiste Kingery, a U.S. citizen, was a veritable grenade machine. He's accused of smuggling parts for as many as 2,000 grenades into Mexico for killer drug cartels -- sometimes under the direct watch of U.S. law enfor ...
Medscape. - In January, 2014, Colorado became the first state in the United States to legalize marijuana for recreational purposes, marking the beginning of what will likely become the end of marijuana prohibition. Marijuana was legal in the United States until 1937, when Congress passed the Marijuana Tax Act, effectively making the drug illegal. The American Medical Association (AMA) opposed the legislation at the time of its passage. Additionally, from 1850-1942, marijuana was listed in the US Pharmacopoeia, the official list of recognized medical drugs . Cannabis was marketed as extract or tincture by several pharmaceutical companies and used for ailments such as anxiety and lack of appetite. Despite the medical establishment's views on the benefits of marijuana, the passage of the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970 classified marijuana as a Schedule I drug, defined as a category of drugs not considered legitimate for medical use. Other Schedule I drugs include heroin, phencyc ...
The Justice Department has made a multi billion dollar settlement with Bank of America and some of the money to be paid for the damages supposedly being paid by BOA is being diverted by the terms of the settlement to criminal organizations in the United States allied with the Attorney General and his Confederates and Associates. There is seemingly no limit to what these crooks in high office will steal and dare the American People to do anything about it. This is a money laundering scheme specifically subject to the RICO Act and the people responsible should be prosecuted and civilly be made to pay triple damages for their crimes under the provisions of this Act.
Stop calling what is going on in Ferguson "protests." For crying out loud, rioting and looting are not protesting. It's felonious criminal activity. This might be Eric Holder's definition of "protesting," the kind of "protesting" he engaged in as a young "Barbados-American," but that's because he's a criminal. Here are 16 examples of highly disturbing behavior engaged in by Eric Holder, Attorney General of the United States of America: One - Discriminatory Hiring Practices On August 8, 2011 documents were released by the DOJ, subsequent to a court battle, which revealed the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division had been engaging in politicized hiring in the career civil service ranks. According to PJ Media, the politicized hiring practices of Holder’s DOJ are nearly unprecedented in scope. In June 2008, Holder admitted to the American Constitution Society (an organization started as a liberal counterweight to the Federalist Society) that the Justice Department was “going to be looking for people who share ...
THE TRIAL. Trial in the case of United States versus Cecil Price et al. began on October 7, 1967 in the Meridian courtroom of Judge William Cox. Chief Prosecutor John Doar and other government attorneys had reason to be concerned about Cox. Cox, appointed as an effort to appease powerful Judiciary Committee Chairman (and former roommate of Cox at Ole Miss) Senator James Eastland, had been a constant source of problems for Justice Department lawyers (especially John Doar) who were seeking to enforce Civil Rights laws in Mississippi. In one incident, Judge Cox referred to a group of African Americans set to testify in a voting rights case as "a bunch of chimpanzees." A jury of seven white men and five white women, ranging in ages from 34 to 67, was selected[link to list of jurors]. Defense attorneys exercised peremptory challenges against all seventeen potential black jurors. A white man, who admitted under questioning by Robert Hauberg, the U.S. Attorney for Mississippi, that he had been a member of th ...
For those who don't like PDFs, here is the text of my written testimony yesterday Good afternoon. Thank you for inviting me here today. It is an honor and a privilege to give testimony to this committee and I would like to thank Chairman Murphy and Ranking Member Johnson for this opportunity. I would like to submit my written testimony for the record and begin with a brief summary of my thoughts on European security. My testimony argues that European security – military, economic and energy – is something in which the United States has a profound interest. European allies are a force-multiplier for American interests. They are under attack from Vladimir Putin’s Russia: a hybrid state in which business, intelligence, organised crime, energy and military elements interlock and overlap. Conventional thinking about Russia fails to appreciate this. Many people in Washington, Brussels, London and Berlin believe that Vladimir Putin’s Russia can be accommodated diplomatically. Money doesn’t smell. Ener ...
Some food for thought. If sitting in a prison cell was a job, it would be one of the most common jobs in the United States. In 2012, there were some 1, 570,000 in in state and federal prisons in the U.S., according to data from the Justice Department. By contrast, there were about 1,530,000 engineers in America last year, 815,000 construction workers, and 1 million high school teachers, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. What is this saying about the cost of education and the cost of prisons? America is now the most imprisoned nation in the world. I guess it shows the priorities of some. YET, it gives an OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE CHANGE- that's cool.

HEAD'S UP ][][][%ERS.Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder, Jr. on Monday announced the creation of a task force within the Justice Department to combat an “escalating danger” from “homegrown” terrorists within the United States. The Justice Department, in a news release accompanying Holder’s weekly video address, cited a Congressional Research Service report last year that said domestic terrorists were responsible for more than two dozen incidents in the U.S. since 9/11. ... The task force will chiefly comprise leaders from the FBI, the Justice Department’s National Security Division and U.S. Attorneys. Called the Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee, it is a recreation of a task force formed by former Atty. Gen. Janet Reno after the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. The task force fell into disuse after 9/11
'Complete disregard for moral integrity': China lambasts US spying tactics: Beijing said that US methods involved broad-scale attacks against the Chinese government. “America's spying operations have gone far beyond the legal rationale of ‘anti-terrorism’ and have exposed the ugly face of its pursuit of self-interest in complete disregard for moral integrity,” concluded the research published by the China Academy of Cyber Space. “As a superpower, the United States takes advantage of its political, economic, military and technological hegemony to unscrupulously monitor other countries, including its allies,” the report added. ‘America’s Global Surveillance Record’ was released one week after the US accused five Chinese military officers of hacking US computer systems. The US Justice Department took the unprecedented move of publishing, together with a 48-page indictment, the photographs of the five. A subsequent editorial in the Global Times, a subsidiary of the People’s Daily, the offi ...

Holder: 'Too Many' People 'Irrationally Fear the New America That Is Emerging' - "So long as I have the privilege of serving as Attorney General of the United States, this Justice Department will never stop working to expand the promise of a nation where everyone has the same opportunity to grow, to contribute, and to succeed," Eric Holder told a Civil Rights group. Holder mentioned DOJ's efforts on Civil Rights, voting rights, *** rights, and a path to citizenship for illegal aliens. "In these and other efforts, there are undoubtedly difficult times ahead," he said. "There are too many wedded to the past and who irrationally fear the new America that is emerging."
The United States has indicted five Chinese military officials on cyber-espionage charges. The individuals are accused of hacking into six US companies and stealing trade secrets, the Justice Department said.
U.S. officials have complained for years that Chinese hackers were stealing trade secrets, but for the first time the U.S. government is formally pursuing charges. Attorney General Eric Holder announced Monday that members of the Chinese military have engaged in hacking into U.S. businesses including aluminum giant Alcoa and nuclear producer Westinghouse. Holder says the Justice Department intends to try the accused in the United States.
Szczyty hipokryzji USA podaje do sadu kryminalnego Chiny za wywiad elektroniczny. Justice Department has filed criminal charges against members of the Chinese military, accusing them of conducting economic cyber-espionage against the United States, officials said. Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to make the announcement at a news conference Monday. It is the first time the United States is taking legal action against a foreign country over cyber attacks. “They used military and intelligence facilities to commit cyber espionage against US companies," an official familiar with the case told NBC News. The indictment follows vows by senior US officials to hold other nations accountable for stealing trade data from American industry. Washington accuses the Chinese government and military of conducting computer-based attacks against the US, including efforts to steal information from federal agencies. A year ago, several leading US newspapers, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Jou ...

Three charged conspiring to smuggle chemical lab equipment to Syria: US prosecutors have charged a 72-year-old Pennsylvania man Harold Rinko, the owner of Global Parts Supply, which exported illegal goods, and brothers Ahmad Deri, a UK national and Moawea Diri, Syrian national for smuggling contraband via third states. According to the Justice Department, Diri was arrested in London in March 2013 and is facing extradition to the United States, while his brother Deri remains at large. Prosecution has offered Rinko a plea agreement that is pending court approval. A federal judge in Scranton, Pennsylvania, unsealed the case 17 months after Assistant US Attorney Todd Hinkley, signed a plea agreement for one of three men charged in 2012. Three men stand accused of illegal export of goods, money laundering, conspiracy, wire fraud, and making false statements. Their criminal actions, the investigators believe range from creating false invoices, undervalued and mislabeled the items, to listing false purchases and ...
The 'school-to-prison pipeline' is an under-publicized institutional catastrophe linking the Justice department and Public Education system in the United States of America, and it has been allowed to continue, relatively unchecked, for far too long. Skelton sat down with Michelle Alexander, noted author and Associate Professor of Law at OSU's The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, to discuss issues of mass-incarceration and how the roots of the problem can be traced to the increased criminalization of student behavior in the US public school system, particularly in lower-income areas and communities with predominant minority populations. In a scandal that is known as "Fast and Furious", this CBS news story covers allegations involving the United States Government and a Mexican drug cartel. Some agents believe the US Justice Department is allegedly providing the drug cartel with weapons.
Cattle grazing on public land is minor compared to illegally running 2000 guns to Mexican Drug Cartels. More than 200 people have been killed in Mexico, and a US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, was killed with Fast and Furious weapons. But this Democrat Administration seems more interest in pursuing the former. Attorney General Holder, the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, has been ignoring Congressional subpoenas and been defiant when appearing before Congress over the matter. Two years ago he was indicted for contempt of Congress on both felony and civil charges, by the House. That is the first time in American history that the head of the Justice Department has been held in contempt by Congress. Still he doesn't comply with the subpoenas. In a Texas gun trafficking case, Oscar Bravo Hernandez received a sentence of 84 months for buying and sending to Mexico 55 firearms. AG Eric Holder obviously thinks he's 'above the law'! Brian Terry RIP
As reported by Katie Pavlich via Townhall, "Attorney General Eric Holder said on Friday that gun tracking bracelets are something the Justice Department (DOJ) wants to 'explore' as part of its gun control efforts." spacer above content People & Events: J. Edgar Hoover J. Edgar HooverJohn Edgar Hoover, director of the Bureau of Investigation (renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1935) from 1924 to 1977, was born on January 1, 1895, in Washington, D.C. to Annie Marie Scheitlin Hoover and Dickerson Naylor Hoover. In his capacity as head of America's federal investigative department, he was instrumental in overseeing the investigation and prosecution of suspected criminal activity in the United States for more than five decades. He began by working as a messenger in the Library of Congress, while he pursued a law degree at George Washington University. After Hoover graduated in 1917, Hoover's uncle, a judge, helped him obtain a job in the U. S. Justice Department. Within two years, he was selected to be U.S. Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer's special assistant. At a time of increasing popular radicalism, Hoover quickly made his mark. He was given the responsibility of heading a new section of the Justice De ...
Kicked back, resting my feet on the old soap box, ready for a friendly homey discussion. I came home and was sitting here eating when I came across a video that caught my eye. The quote I got from it has stuck in my head for quite a while and I feel I need to share it for discussion: The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States can be considered a "doomsday" amendment to be used when the other 9 Amendments to The Bill Of Rights fail." My opening salvo... with our current president circumventing laws such as minimizing the need for the prosecution of people selling drugs or in possession of small amounts and the setting aside of deadlines for the Affordable Healthcare Act, he is making Congress irrelevant. (Congress cannot in force the laws it passes at the behest of the people, that is what the Justice Department is supposed o do and the President is the one that makes the appointments to that Department.) If the president can get away with BREAKING the Law of the Land (which the ACA ...
U.S. Army seeks motive for Fort Hood shooting rampage The U.S. Army was searching on Friday for a clear motive for the second mass killing in five years at a Texas base, one of the largest in the United States. Ivan Lopez, the 34-year-old soldier suspected of shooting dead three people and wounding 16 others before turning the gun on himself at Fort Hood yesterday afternoon, was battling mental illness, the Army said, but no motive has been given. Lopez joined the service in 2008 and had served two tours of duty abroad, including four months in Iraq in 2011. He had no direct involvement in combat and had not been wounded. There was a strong possibility a verbal altercation with another soldier or soldiers preceded the shooting, Lieutenant General Mark Milley told reporters on Thursday, adding there was no indication that he targeted specific people. The rampage is the third shooting at a military base in the United States in about six months that, along with a series of shootings in public places, such as ...
Toyota's $1.2 billion settlement may be model for U.S. probe into GM (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp will pay a record $1.2 billion to resolve a criminal probe into safety issues, in a deal that could serve as a template for how U.S. authorities approach a similar investigation into General Motors Co. The settlement between the Justice Department and Toyota includes an admission by the auto manufacturer that it misled American consumers about two different problems that caused cars to accelerate even as drivers tried to slow them down. The agreement comes as General Motors is also under investigation over its handling of an ignition switch failure linked to a dozen deaths. GM last month recalled more than 1.6 million vehicles 13 years after first noticing the issue. The payment Toyota agreed to marks the largest such penalty levied by the United States on an auto company, officials said. "My hope and expectation is that this resolution will serve as a model for how to approach future cases involving similar ...

03/07/2014 04:14 PM CST Alexander: U.S. Must Address Media Leaks, Cyber Legislation By Cheryl Pellerin American Forces Press Service WASHINGTON, Mar. 7, 2014 - Leaks to the media of classified information and the need for cyber legislation were key elements of a speech this week by Army Gen. Keith B. Alexander, commander of U.S. Cyber Command and director of the National Security Agency. "What's going on in media leaks directly affects our ability to get cyber legislation," Alexander told an audience at Georgetown University, "and we have to address both as a nation and amongst nations. We've got to get this right." Recent media leaks include those by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, who last year fled the United States for temporary asylum in Russia, after stealing 1.7 million intelligence files from NSA concerning the agency's surveillance activities and later disclosing thousands of documents to reporters at London's Guardian newspaper and the Washington Post. The Justice Department has since char ...
In 1775, seven men were killed in Boston. It was called the Boston Massacre. The British soldiers who fired the shots were taken to court and one lawyer bore the scorn of others to represent them. How did America treat this lawyer? We elected John Adams the second president of the United States. He went on to serve two terms and was an excellent president. Of course, if you are black and you write and appeal for a client, you get punished and stopped from being the head of the justice department by the senate. Clearly, racism is still a strong in America today.
Analysts differ on investment implications of new Abacha loot discovery March 7, 2014 | Filed under: main story | Author: ODINAKA ANUDU Given the United States of America’s (USA) confiscation of $458 million worth of assets allegedly stolen by the late General Sani Abacha, former head of state, analysts are in polar differences over the effect of such loot on the Nigerian investment climate vis-à-vis the economy. Nigeria’s late head of state died in June 1998, but there have been allegations that over 5 billion pounds was siphoned out of the country during his less than five-year reign. Nigeria recovered $1.3 billion, the largest tranche of which $500 million came from Switzerland in 2005. A further $1.1 billion stashed away in France, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and the Channel Island of Jersey is reportedly still tied up in various legal disputes, BusinessDay gathered. “Abacha loot is just historical. It raises a perception problem and gives Nigeria away as a corrupt country in the eyes of i . ...
US seizes $458m Abacha loot by Agency Reporter Less than a week after President Goodluck Jonathan honoured the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, with an award for "his contributions to the nation," the United States has ordered a freeze on $458m in assets stolen by the former dictator and his accomplices. AFP quoted the Justice Department as saying on Wednesday that the corruption proceeds - stashed away in bank accounts in Britain, France and Jersey - were frozen at Washington's request with the help of local authorities. Abacha died in office in 1998, but his surviving relatives still include some of the richest and most influential figures in Nigeria. According to a civil forfeiture complaint unsealed in the US District Court in Washington, the department wants to recover more than $550m in connection with the action. "This is the largest civil forfeiture action to recover the proceeds of foreign official corruption ever brought by the department," said Mythili Raman, acting assistant attorney gene ...
3 men sentenced for importing weapons Los Angeles — Three Philippine nationals caught in a sting operation in their native country have been sentenced in Los Angeles for importing military-grade weapons to the United States, including a grenade launcher, a mortar launcher and 12 machine guns. Sergio Syjuco, 27, was sentenced to seven years in prison; Cesar Ubaldo, 28, received five years; and Arjyl Revereza, 27, got 4 ½ years, the US Justice Department said. All will spend up to three years under supervised release after they get out. After a four-week trial, a federal jury last March convicted the men of conspiring to illegally import the weapons and aiding and abetting their importation to the US. The men were indicted after authorities seized weapons at the Port of Long Beach in California in June 2011. – AP
INDIA & USA United States on 29 December 2013 initiated an inter-agency review to look at the lapses that happened in the Devyani Khobragade case that triggered uproar in India and strained bilateral ties. The decision on the review was taken following a tough stand of India on the arrest of Devyani Khobragade. The US departments involved in the review include the National Security Council of the White House, the State Department and the Justice Department. The matter of the diplomat has now landed up in the judiciary and it mainly depends on the judges for which the two bodies are engaged actively. There was a judgmental error in handling the case and an inter agency team that is led by the State Department is working 24x7 to get resolved the issue as quickly it is possible. Devyani Khobragade a 1999-batch IFS officer is the India’s Deputy Consul General in New York was arrested on alleged visa fraud charges. Devyani, the 39- year-old diplomat was strip searched and held with the criminals on the charg ...
“While you're savoring your cup o' joe, imagine the president of the United States hunched over his own coffee, considering the murder of another American citizen. Now, if you were plotting to kill an American over coffee, you could end up in jail on a whole range of charges including -- depending on the situation -- terrorism. However, if the president’s doing the killing, it's all nice and -- let’s put those quote marks around it -- ‘legal.’ How do we know? We’re assured that the Justice Department tells him so. And that’s justice enough in post-Constitutional America.” Up today at TomDispatch, ex-State Department whistleblower Peter Van Buren's “Drone Killing the Fifth Amendment, How to Build a Post-Constitutional America One Death at a Time”:
Five years ago: President Barack Obama launched a $75 billion foreclosure rescue plan aimed at saving homes. Eric Holder, the nation's first black Attorney General, said in a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month that the United States was "a nation of cowards" on matters of race. Pope Benedict XVI received House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the Vatican, telling her that Catholic politicians had a duty to protect life "at all stages of its development."
POLITICAL ANALYSIS BY BAR (Black Agenda Report) by Margaret Kimberley (BAR editor and senior columnist) The United States ranks 34th among the 35 richest nations in child well being, which is measured in health outcomes and percentages of children living in poverty. Most Americans would be shocked to learn that Ireland, Slovakia, Latvia, Poland and even crisis ridden Greece and Portugal take better care of their children. Overall health care outcomes are no better, with the United States ranking at only 37 out of 191 countries. Cuba, which few Americans regard in any positive way, ranks just two steps behind at 39. Costa Ricans, Moroccans, Colombians, and Saudis all have access to better medical care. Most of the members of Congress sitting through the State of the Union address often brag that their constituents have the best health care in the world when those words are obvious lies. Consider that the Obama Administration boasted when the president commuted the sentences of eight people who languished i ...

Is S&P Being Sued Because It Downgraded the U.S. Bond Rating? [More Political Retribution from Obama?] By Matt Levine Why is the Justice Department suing Standard & Poor's for mis-rating structured credit securities before the financial crisis, and not suing Moody's, which gave a lot of the same products the same ratings? I have a theory,1 but Standard & Poor's has another theory, and theirs is a corker: The most obvious explanation is apparent. S&P alone among the major rating agencies downgraded the securities issued by the United States. As described below, the chronology of events relating to the downgrade and the commencement of this lawsuit provides powerful evidence linking the two. And beyond this showing, S&P submits with this motion the affidavit of the Chairman and, in August 2011, Chief Executive Officer and President of McGraw Hill, Harold McGraw III. Mr. McGraw describes personal communications made to him first on behalf of the Secretary of the Treasury, and then personally by the Secretary ...

Eric Holder's Justice Department is the single worst federal agency in the history of the United States Government. This is not a surprise. This was absolutely 100 percent predictable. When Eric Holder squashed the federal prosecution of the New Black Panthers for an obvious and blatant case of voter intimidation only the most brazen KKK thugs could have matched, it was apparent to anyone who was paying attention that any leftist abuse imaginable was coming. Today, Holder actually pursued and secured an indictment of Dinesh D'Souza for the "crime" of trying to get a long-shot Republican Senate candidate elected in New York. There is ZERO basis to this prosecution outside of D'Souza's vocal dissent against the Obama Administration. Eric Holder is outside any concept of the law. As such, Eric Holder ought to be subject to the fate of tyrants throughout human history. Whatever happens to him he deserves zero sympathy.
The NSA's Security Clearance Last year, Barack Obama tasked the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board with reviewing the NSA's mass surveillance programs for legality and effectiveness. Well, Thursday, the board said that the collection of all telephone records is illegal, useless and should be ended. "We have not identified a single instance involving a threat to the United States in which the telephone records program made a concrete difference in the outcome of a counterterrorism investigation," said the report. Meanwhile, the Justice Department claims that USIS, the private contractor that conducts background checks for federal employees, including Edward Snowden, faked 665,000 checks -- or 40% -- since 2008. Maybe the NSA should narrow its focus to federal employees. (source: The Patriot Post)
For those who don't know, John Ashcroft was the Attorney General of the United States during the Bush administration. He was the Attorney General during the time of my prosecution. While this in no way changes my own culpability or bad judgment calls I have made, don't we want a little more from our leaders? The article below is about Chris Christie: Secret No-Bid Contracts: When Christie was the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey in 2007 he awarded his former boss John Ashcroft, the one-time U.S. Attorney General, a contract worth $28 million to $52 million to monitor a corporation as part of an out-of-court settlement, the New York Times reported in a page-one story. The 2007 deal involved no public notice and no bidding, as well as $750,000 a month in pay for Ashcroft and two other executives. The same year Christie awarded two similar monitoring contracts to two other former Justice Department colleagues from the Bush administration and a former Republican New Jersey state Attorney General. US DOJ: Abbott Laboratories Pays U.S. $5.475 Million to Settle Claims That Company Paid Kickbacks to Physicians Abbott Laboratories has agreed to pay the United States $5.475 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by paying kickbacks to induce doctors to implant the company’s carotid, biliary and peripheral vascular products, the Justice Department announced today. Abbott is a global pharmaceuticals and health care products company based in Abbott Park, Ill. “Patients have a right to treatment decisions that are based on their own medical needs, not the personal financial interests of their health care providers,” said Assistant Attorney General Stuart F. Delery of the Civil Division of the Department of Justice. “Kickbacks undermine the ability of health care providers to objectively evaluate and treat their patients, and will continue to be a primary focus of the Department’s health care enforcement efforts.” The settlement resolves allegations that Abbott kno . ...
I am tired. I did not sleep last Knight. Will Wilson, a former conservative Democratic Attorney General of Texas who switched to the Republican Party to support Nixon, was named United States Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division. He served from 1969 to 1971. Wilson wrote the book A Fool For a Client, a study of the fall of President Nixon.[10] Mitchell believed that the government's need for "law and order" justified restrictions on civil liberties. He advocated the use of wiretaps in National Security cases without obtaining a Court Order (United States v. U.S. District Court) and the right of police to employ the preventive detention of criminal suspects. He brought conspiracy charges against critics of the Vietnam War, likening them to brown shirts of the Nazi era. He expressed a reluctance to involve the Justice Department in some Civil Rights issues. "The Department of Justice is a law enforcement agency," he told reporters. "It is not the place to carry on a program aimed at ...
CNN has been pondering what they call “a particularly tough few days at the White House.” “Four out of five Americans have little or no trust in their government to do anything right,” says chief political analyst Gloria Borger. “And now Obama probably feels the same way.” Our hearts go out to him, poor wee disillusioned thing. We are assured by the headline writers that the president was “unaware” of Obamacare’s website defects, and the NSA spying, and the IRS targeting of his political enemies, and the Justice Department bugging the Associated Press, and pretty much anything else you ask him about. But, as he put it, “nobody’s madder than me” at this shadowy rogue entity called the “Government of the United States” that’s running around pulling all this stuff. And, once he finds out who’s running this Government of the United States rogue entity, he’s gonna come down as *** him as he did on that videomaker in California; he’s gonna send round the National Park Ser ...
Obscure Scotus Case Pending: Obama Could Take Out US Constitution In One Fell Swoop (Scary) (Before It's News) You can’t make this stuff up, a federal case making its way through the Supreme Court is anything but a work of fiction. In fact, many people including Ted Cruz, are saying this case is actually the Federal Government’s attempt to circumvent the United States Constitution in favor of U.N. Treaties and International Law. There is a reason why the United States flag is always to be place above any other flag that hangs with it. Sovereignty. Our sovereign powers must always take precedence over any UN treaty, world court or European desires about what we do here in our country. Attorney General Eric Holder, currently has Justice Department attorneys advancing an argument at the Supreme Court that could allow the feds to invoke international treaties as a legal basis for policies that conflict with the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. Inquiry Broadens Into JPMorgan’s Asia Hiring A federal investigation into the hiring practices of JPMorgan Chase has expanded beyond the borders of China, where the bank faces questions about whether it hired the children of powerful Chinese officials to win lucrative business there. The bank disclosed in a securities filing on Friday that authorities were now looking into “its business relationships with certain related clients in the Asia Pacific region and its engagement of consultants in the Asia Pacific region.” JPMorgan did not specify where the inquiries were directed. But according to people briefed on the matter, government authorities are examining JPMorgan’s hiring practices throughout Asia, focusing on South Korea, Singapore and India. That scrutiny comes after JPMorgan itself flagged those countries for further review, the people said. Glenn Greenwald - the Right wing libertarian nut who pretends to be a Lefty - is at it again. This time, the poor thing has confused Wall Street and the CIA and is very mad that the President told the truth in his 60 Minutes interview about the the reason why not a slew of prosecutions took place on Wall Street. Because previous Congresses (and presidents, plural, I'm sad to say) legalized bribery, gambling, and insider trading. Ever the disingenuous troll, Greenwald at first did not even include the President's explanation. He cut the quote off here: Obama replied: I can’t, as President of the United States, comment on the decisions about particular prosecutions. That’s the job of the Justice Department, and we keep those separate so that there’s no political influence on decisions made by professional prosecutors. See, what he held back from his readers, at least at first, in true Fox-lover fashion, is what the president said in his interview immediately following that line. Luckily, this being th ...
Sibel Edmonds (FBI / 9/11) In the wake of 9/11, Edmonds was enlisted as a translator in the FBI language division to interpret wiretaps conducted inside the United States, having been born in Turkey and speaking several key languages. She describes the language division as “the highest security unit in the FBI.” She has since become the most classified woman in history, and her efforts to uncover FBI criminality that included, “money laundering, narcotic activities, and nuclear black market converg(ing) with terrorist activities” led her to be pursued and persecuted to an incredible degree by the Justice Department under John Ashcroft and Robert Mueller invoking “state secrets.” Her story is harrowing, to say the least; however, she sparked serious doubts among the general population regarding the 9/11 Commission Report — and she hasn’t stopped. To get a glimpse of the energy and tenacity of Sibel Edmonds, see the video trailer below for the whistleblower documentary “Kill The Messenger ...
Isn't it odd that during his recent African tour, President Barack Obama announced support for a citizen ID program in Kenya - yet considers a similar effort in the United States to be racially motivated. While President Obama and his family toured the African continent earlier in the week, the White House released a Fact Sheet that promotes a $53 million U.S. taxpayer-funded program in Kenya that assists young people to "obtain National identification cards, a prerequisite to voter registration." The White House Fact Sheet states that in advance of Kenya's March 2013 general elections, the Kenyan campaign - known as "My ID My Life" - helped 500,000 youth obtain national identification cards and carried out a successful nationwide campaign with Kenyan civic organizations to elicit peace pledges from all presidential aspirants. "This is an administration, you understand, whose Justice Department struck down voter ID laws in South Carolina and Texas just before the 2012 elections and has said over and over ...
David Jesse Serrano Preparing Drones for Domestic Oppression Last week, the Justice Department re-affirmed its position that the Obama Administration can use armed drones to assassinate Americans. Under the NDAA, the whole of the United States has been declared a “battlefield,”meaning that drones may soon be used to execute American citizens on U.S. soil.A government that resorts to killing its own citizens without any legal process whatsoever is clearly a dictatorship engaged in domestic oppression. The only imaginable scenario under which this program would be justifiable was if the U.S. was under a state of martial law and the government was on the verge of collapse. Preparing for Martial Law The Department of Homeland Security has purchased over 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the last 10 months alone. At the height of combat operations in Iraq, the U.S. Army only used 5.5 million bullets a month. Why has the DHS stockpiled enough bullets for a 30 year war if it is not preparing for some form ...
4. Whether Snowden is traitor? See his fathers view(Jun 29): I. The father of whistleblower Edward Snowden insisted on Friday his son was not a traitor for revealing details of secret surveillance programmes, though admitted he did break the law. II. In an interview with NBC News, Lonnie Snowden also said he had told Attorney General Eric Holder through his lawyer that his son would probably be willing to return home so long as the Justice Department agrees not to detain him before trial or impose a gag order on him. III. “At this point I don’t feel that he’s committed treason. He has in fact broken US law, in the sense that he has released classified information,” Mr. Lonnie Snowden told NBC. IV. “And if folks want to classify him as a traitor, in fact he has betrayed his government. But I don’t believe that he’s betrayed the people of the United States.”
Powerful nations and individuals turn arrogance not to negotiate with small nations and little individuals but at times end in disaster. The so called spy Edward Snowden reported USA hacking Hong Kong could have been stopped by far sighting impending damages but USA egotism has turned to further humility as he continued his report of spying by USA on China, Russia and EU. Edward Snowden's father Lonnie Snowden defend his wanted son on Friday, and even suggested infect wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder saying that if the Justice Department agreed to make some particular promises about how they handled the case that his son could return voluntarily to the United States now reached highly unlikely rather impossibility. The view was “if his trial is to be carried out in an independent country as Lonnie’s view is that Edward betrayed the leadership of the USA but not the people of the USA”.
Welcome support from coalition partners. - Julian Bond GLAAD, LGBT ADVOCACY GROUPS STAND WITH Civil Rights ORGS IN DISAPPOINTMENT AT Supreme Court RULING ON VOTING RIGHTS Tuesday, June 25, 2013 - 11:58am by Ryan Houlihan, Programs and Communications Fellow at GLAAD Today, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) ruled against a central piece of the Voting Rights Act. This removes major protections on voting rights passed by Congress in 1965 and reduces the Federal Government's ability to oversee voting discrimination in areas with a legal history of discriminatory voting standards against minorities, most specifically African-Americans. GLAAD joins several other LGBT advocacy organizations expressing concern over today's ruling. The act had been renewed four times previously and had been repeatedly reaffirmed by Congress. EPA Reaches Agreement with SunCoke Energy for Clean Air Violations at Plants in Illinois and Ohio WASHINGTON – SunCoke Energy Inc. and two of its subsidiaries have agreed to pay $1.995 million to resolve alleged Clean Air Act violations of emission limits at the Gateway Energy and Coke plant in Granite City, Ill., and the Haverhill Coke plant in Franklin Furnace, Ohio, announced the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Justice Department. The companies will also spend $255,000 on a lead abatement project in southern Illinois to reduce lead hazards in owner-occupied low income residences with priority given to families with young children or pregnant women. The companies will pay a penalty of $1.27 million to the United States, $575,000 to the State of Illinois, and $150,000 to the State of Ohio. Illinois and Ohio are co-plaintiffs in this case. “The substantial upgrades required by today’s settlement will reduce air pollution that can harm public health and the environment,” said Cynthia G ...
MOSCOW (Reuters) - China and Russia rejected U.S. accusations they helped a former U.S. spy agency contractor escape prosecution in the United States, deepening a rift between powers whose cooperation may be essential in settling global conflicts including the Syrian war. Despite public outrage, however, there was a sense Moscow and Washington sought to limit damage over Edward Snowden, whose flight from justice has embarrassed President Barack Obama. After tough U.S. statements a day earlier, Secretary of State John Kerry urged "calm and reasonableness" on Tuesday. Snowden, charged with disclosing secret U.S. surveillance programs, left Hong Kong for Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport on Sunday. The U.S. State Department said diplomats and Justice Department officials were talking to Russia, suggesting they sought a deal to secure his return to face espionage charges. An airport source said the 30-year-old American, who has asked for asylum in Ecuador, had flown in on Sunday and had been booked on a flight to ...
June 24th, 2013 08:39 PM ET U.S. says it didn't blunder when Snowden fled Hong Kong By Jill Dougherty Obama Administration officials, including the head of the FBI, have been burning up the phone lines to Moscow, urging the government of President Vladimir Putin to arrest Edward Snowden and send him to the United States to face espionage charges. The last thing they want is a repeat of what happened in Hong Kong, when the admitted leaker of National Security surveillance programs was able to fly to Moscow on Sunday. Some critics call the episode a blunder by the administration. They point to the time line: On June 14, with Snowden believed to be hiding in Hong Kong, the Justice Department filed sealed charges. The next day, the United States requested the Hong Kong government to provisionally arrest him for purposes of extradition. But the State Department did not revoke his passport until almost a week later - although it stresses it did it before he left Hong Kong. Snowden was allowed to board a plane t ...
Let's see what else I can fix. Not content with the situations now affecting us, you know, like Benghazi; the IRS; the NSA and the Justice Department, our President also wants to tackle Global Warming. In a belated "me too" after word got out that Mayor Bloomberg wants to "climateproof" NYC, President Obama is going to use executive powers to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by industries in the United States. Let me put this bluntly, there is nothing you can do about climate change. You cannot correct nature, it will do what is wants to do. If Global Warming is the culprit and the USA goes completely dark, other parts of the world...China, India, Russia... will make up the difference. If it is simply cyclical climate change, then the best you can do is adapt. The President of the United States does not have the power of God, regardless of what he may think.
U.S. Says It Could Support Appointment of NYPD Monitor Mark Hamblett New York Law Journal 06-13-2013 The U.S. Justice Department has weighed in with its opinion that a court monitor for the New York City Police Department would help with reforms should Southern District Judge Shira Scheindlin (See Profile) find the city liable for systematic violations of the Fourth Amendment through its stop, question and frisk anti-crime policing strategy. In a statement of interest filed with Scheindlin on Wednesday night, the department said it would support a decision by the judge to appoint a monitor to ensure compliance with any reform of police practices ordered by her. "The experience of the United States in enforcing police reform injunctions teaches that the appointment of an independent monitor is a critically important asset to the court, the parties and the community in cases involving patterns or practices of unlawful conduct by law enforcement officials," said Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez of the ...
I'd like to see Attorney General Eric Holder tried and convicted for crimes against the United States of America. Unfortunately, in this administration's Justice Department, there is NO justice.
Such experimentation requires money, and the United States Government has funnelled funds for drug experiments through different agencies, both overtly and covertly. One of the funding agencies to contribute to the experimentation is the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA), a unit of the U.S. Justice Department and one of President Richard Nixon's favorite pet agencies. The Nixon Administration was, at one time, putting together a program for detaining youngsters who showed a tendency toward violence in "concentration" camps. According to the Washington Post, the plan was authored by Dr. Arnold Hutschnecker. Health, Education and Welfare Secretary Robert Finch was told by John Erlichman, Chief of Staff for the Nixon White House, to implement the program. He proposed the screening of children of six years of age for tendencies toward criminality. Those who failed these tests were to be destined to be sent to the camps. The program was never implemented. LEAA came into existence in 1968 with a ...
Liberty Reserve OWNER ARRESTED & SENTENCED TO 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk, 39, on Friday was arrested in Spain as part of a money laundering investigation performed jointly by police agencies in the United States and Costa Rica. Costa Rican prosecutor José Pablo González said Budovsky, a Costa Rican citizen of Ukrainian origin, has been under investigation since 2011 for money laundering using a company he created in the country called Liberty Reserve. Local investigations began after a request from a prosecutor’s office in New York. On Friday, San José prosecutors conducted raids in Budovsky's house and offices in Escazá, Santa Ana, southwest of San José, and in the province of Heredia, north of the capital. Budovsky's businesses in Costa Rica apparently were financed by using money from child Indecency websites and drug trafficking. Roger Ailes, Fox News boss responds magnificently to attack by Justice Department in this letter to staff today: Dear colleagues, The recent news about the FBI's seizure of the phone and email records of Fox News employees, including James Rosen, calls into question whether the Federal Government is meeting its constitutional obligation to preserve and protect a free press in the United States. We reject the government’s efforts to criminalize the pursuit of investigative journalism and falsely characterize a Fox News reporter to a Federal judge as a “co-conspirator” in a crime. I know how concerned you are because so many of you have asked me: why should the government make me afraid to use a work phone or email account to gather news or even call a friend or family member? Well, they shouldn't have done it. The administration's attempt to intimidate Fox News and its employees will not succeed and their excuses will stand neither the test of law, the test of decency, nor the test of time. We will n ...

The Anti-Media Welcome to the Age of Murder.Gov THE GAME OF DRONES At last we know. The mysterious legal authority for Barack Obama’s killer drone program flows from another administration with an elastic interpretation of executive power: that of Richard Nixon. In a chilling 16-page dossier known simply as the White Paper, one of Obama’s statutory brains at the Justice Department cites the 1969 secret bombing of Cambodia as a legal rationale justifying drone strikes, deep inside nations, against which the United States is not officially at war. This startling disclosure is drafted in the antiseptic prose of an insurance adjuster announcing the denial of a claim based on a pre-existing condition. Yet, the bombing of Cambodia (aka Operation Menu), which involved more than 3,000 air strikes, was almost universally acknowledged as a war crime. Now the Obama Administration has officially enshrined that atrocity as precedent for its own killing rampages. Since Obama’s election, the CIA has overseen nearl ...
On April 30, 1970, President Richard M. Nixon appeared on national television to announce the invasion of Cambodia by the United States and the need to draft 150,000 more soldiers for an expansion of the Vietnam War effort. This provoked massive protests on campuses throughout the country. At Kent State University in Ohio, protesters launched a demonstration that included setting fire to the ROTC building, prompting the governor of Ohio to dispatch 900 National Guardsmen to the campus. During an altercation on May 4, twenty-eight guardsmen opened fire on a crowd, killing four students and wounding nine. Sixty-seven shots were fired by the Guardsmen in 13 seconds. Following the killings, the unrest across the country escalated even further. Almost five hundred colleges were shut down or disrupted by protests. Despite the public outcry, the Justice Department initially declined to conduct a grand jury investigation. A report by the President's Commission on Campus Unrest did acknowledge, however, that the a ...
Bin Laden's son-in-law captured, charged in US with conspiring to kill Americans Published March 08, 2013 FoxNews.com A top Al Qaeda spokesman, who is the son-in-law of Usama Bin Laden, has been captured overseas and charged in the United States with conspiracy to kill Americans, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday, sparking Republican criticism that such terrorists don't belong in the civilian judicial system. Sulaiman Abu Ghaith will appear in a federal New York courtroom Friday, according to the Justice Department statement and indictment outlining the accusations against him. The capture of Abu Ghaith drew praise from Republican Rep. Peter King of New York, the former chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, who called it a "very significant victory" in U.S. efforts against Al Qaeda. However, two of his fellow Republicans, Sens. Lindsey Graham and Kelly Ayotte, said Thursday the Obama Administration's decision to bring Abu Ghaith to court in New York is wrong, "sneaky" and against t ...

Justice Department: Home Schooling not a 'Right' — Mon, 2013-02-18 08:44 The U.S. Justice Department says home-schooling is not a fundamental right. That was the argument the Obama Administration made in Federal Court against an evangelical Christian family from Germany seeking asylum in the United States. Germany broadly forbids home-schooling. So the Romeike family was forced to flee the country or risk losing their five children to the German government, which was trying to force them to put their children in public schools. The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is working on the Romeike family's behalf. Michael Farris, founder and chairman of HSLDA, wrote about Germany's home-school ban in his blog saying, "It is thought control. It is belief control. It is totalitarianism dressed up in politically correct lingo." For more on this important case and its potential impact on home-schooling in the United States, CBN News spoke with Michael Donnelly, director of International Relations for HSLDA. The ...

Take a Rare Look at How Obama Decides to Send Drones to Kill Americans: Human rights advocates were floored on Monday night when NBC News published the details of an alarming Justice Department memo detailing the protocol for sending drones after United States citizens. It's not as if they hadn't suspected that the Obama Administration's top secret drone attack protocol contained some unsavory details. They just didn't expect them to be so frightfully broad. The scoop by Michael Isikoff is actually startling not for the details but rather for the lack of details. It's very vague about a decision-making process that puts American lives on the line. Put simply, the government believes that a lethal drone attack against an American citizen is justified if the targets are a) "senior operational leaders" of al-Qaeda or b) "an associated force." New FAA drone list reveals over 20 more public entities authorized to fly drones over United States By Madison Ruppert The new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) drone authorization list obtained by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit reveals more than 20 additional public entities allowed to fly drones over the United States. This news comes as Charlottesville, Virginia passes a resolution banning drones, the entire state of Virginia might pass a drone moratorium, a Justice Department White Paper was leaked outlining the supposed legal justification for the drone assassination program, the Obama Administration is reportedly going to release legal memos to intelligence committees and the location of a CIA drone base in Saudi Arabia was revealed after two large media outlets withheld it at the government’s request. This brings the total to 81 public entities authorized by the FAA to fly drones as of October 2012, according to the list obtained b ...
Associated Press   WASHINGTON (AP) - An unclassified Justice Department memo reveals that the Obama Administration has had more lenient rules than publicly known for when drone attacks can be launched to kill U.S. citizens working abroad with terrorists.   The government does not need evidence that a specific attack is imminent, the newly disclosed Justice Department White Paper says, only that the targeted suspect is involved in ongoing plotting against the United States.   "The threat posed by al-Qaida and its associated forces demands a broader concept of imminence in judging when a person continually planning terror attacks presents an imminent threat," the document says.   The undated document surfaced as Obama Administration official John Brennan, who helped manage the drone program, heads to Capitol Hill on Thursday for his confirmation hearing to be CIA director. The hearing is taking place as a growing number of senators are asking to see a still-classified Justice Department legal ...
To give you an idea of how much you have to be in the tank for President Obama in order to be the typical host on an MSNBC program, on Tuesday, Krystal Ball and Toure Neblett - two far, far-left commentators! - actually came out in support of the just-released Justice Department memo that made the legal case for drone strikes against Americans. TOURE NEBLETT: We're at war with Al Qaeda right now, and if you join Al Qaeda, you lose the right to be an American. You lose the right to Due Process. You declare yourself an enemy of this nation, and you are committing treason. And I don't see why we should expand American rights to people who want to kill Americans, who are working to kill Americans, who are committing treason. This is not criticizing the United States. This is going to war against the United States. Yes, that's the far, far-left Toure Neblett sounding much like a conservative on September 11, 2001. Now in fairness to some liberal commentators on MSNBC, co-host Steve Kornacki pushed back on Nebl ...
WORLD NEWS – USA OBAMA SAYS, "I AM THE LAW: ACCUSOR, JUDGE, AND EXECUTIONER" February 6, 2013 • 8:26AM President Obama has gone the Bush-Cheney gang one better, with his claim to possess a dictatorial right to kill American citizens without any legal process, judicial review, or Congressional oversight. The "legal" rationalization for these targeted assassinations — a process the United States condemns when carried out by other countries — has been oozing out in various speeches and leaks over the past couple of years; now more of this sophistry has been exposed, with the leaking of a Justice Department "White Paper" on assassinations, entitled "Lawfulness of a Lethal Operation Directed Against a U.S. Citizen Who is a Senior Operational Leader of Al-Qa'ida or An Associated Force." The confidential White Paper, reportedly given to the Senate Intelligence and Judiciary Committees last June, was disclosed to NBC's Michael Isikoff, on the same day that a bi-partisan group of eleven Senators demanded t ...

'Judge, jury and executioner': Legal experts fear implications of White House drone memo A new Justice Department memo on Americans and drone strikes is causing controversy. By Erin McClam, Staff Writer, NBC News Legal experts expressed grave reservations Tuesday about an Obama Administration memo concluding that the United States can order the killing of American citizens believed to be affiliated with al-Qaida — with one saying the White House was acting as “judge, jury and executioner.” Follow experts said that the memo, first obtained by NBC News, threatened constitutional rights and dangerously expanded the definition of national self-defense and of what constitutes an imminent attack. “Anyone should be concerned when the president and his lawyers make up their own interpretation of the law or their own rules,” said Mary Ellen O’Connell, a law professor at the University of Notre Dame and an authority on International Law and the use of force. (Charlotte Observer) The United States can lawfully kill a U.S. citizen overseas if it determines the target is a “senior, operational leader” of al-Qaeda or an associated group and poses an imminent threat to the United States, according to a Justice Department document published late Monday by NBC...
Don't try and befriend me if you are already a far right wing fanatic or crazy. I believe in and voted for and would die to protect our President Obama. I am a patriot and believe in the Constitution and the government of the United States of America since I am an American Marine and I have no time or patience to waste on traitors with anti government sentiments who favor capitalism above democracy, believe that states should run everything when most states have proven continual intolerance for the rights of their citizens or chose to disobey the Supreme Court and our Justice Department. Since I beleive in a strong Central government that protects its citizens from all enemies forgein and domestic and one equal law for everything for everyone throughout the land. So if you favor the rich above the poor, fear your own country as an enemy, ignore the seperation of church and state, want to seceed from the Union or feel yourself to be superior to everyone else then leave me alone. I took an oath as an Americ ...
Oh, The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (or FISC) is a U.S. Federal Court. It was established by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA). The FISC oversees requests for surveillance warrants against suspected foreign intelligence agents inside the United States by federal law enforcement agencies (primarily the F.B.I.). The FISA and FISC were inspired by the recommendations of the Church Committee. ... On May 17, 2002, the court rebuffed then-Attorney General John Ashcroft, releasing an opinion that alleged that FBI and Justice Department officials had "supplied erroneous information to the court in more than 75 applications for search warrants and wiretaps, including one signed by then-FBI Director Louis J. Freeh". Whether this rebuke is related to the court starting to require modification of drastically more requests in 2003 is unknown. ... On December 16, 2005, the New York Times reported that the Bush administration had been conducting surveillance against U.S. ...

Justice Department sues Reston contractor, alleges it provided unqualified guards in IraqThe Justice Department sued a Virginia-based contractor Wednesday, accusing the company of submitting false claims for unqualified guards under a $10 million contract to provide security in Iraq. Triple Canopy, a private security company based in Reston, billed the United States for hundreds of Iraqi foreign nationals hired as security guards although they did not meet firearms proficiency tests established by the Army and required under the contract, according to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The lawsuit says that Triple Canopy’s managers in Iraq falsified the test results to get paid for the unqualified guards and that the company continued to bill the government even after high-level executives had been alerted about the misconduct. The tests are administered to ensure that security guards hired to protect U.S. and allied personnel are capable of firing their A ...
Alisha Clark Laurel M Davila ERIC SMITH: "According to CNN at least 700 Federal workers from the Justice Department are being sent to poling places all over the United States to act as Federal Observers in enforcement of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to ensure that there are no instances of voter suppression or voter intimidation. Did these racist Right Wing *** really think that an African American president of all people would allow them to get away with their Jim Crow era bullying tactics which have attempted to keep black people and other minorities from going to the polls? I applaud President Obama and Attorney General Holder for seeing the threat posed by these racist Jim Crow Right Wingers for what it is; an attack on freedom and the very pillars of our Democracy itself but I deeply regret that they have created such a sorry climate where the Federal Government must use its powers to protect so basic a right as the right to vote."
White House blasted for classified information leaks Citizen grand jury accuses administration of using secrets to bolster political standing Members of a citizen grand jury meeting in Ocala, Fla., have produced a multi-count indictment alleging Barack Obama and Joe Biden failed to protect the secrets of the U.S. and its allies. The jury concluded “loose lips” led to the deaths of dozens of members of the U.S. military and the imprisonment of a Pakistani physician who helped locate Osama Bin Laden. “The information leaked was done so intentionally and wantonly without regard to, or concern for, the National Security of the United States and whose only purpose was to bolster and promote Defendant Obama’s and Biden’s political agenda, and harm U.S. National Security,” the indictment charges. The examination of Obama White House activities over recent days was assembled by attorney Larry Klayman, a former Justice Department prosecutor. The indictment explains it was Biden who last May at a social ...

This is from Chapter 10 (Tyranny of the Anti-Justice Department) of Dr. Michael Savage's book Trickle Down Tyranny: On October 12, 2011, Eric Holder announced that the United States had uncovered a plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, Adel al-Jubeir -- on American soil! The plot was supposedly hatched by the Iranian Quds secret service with the knowledge of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Although one of the suspects, Manssor Arbabsiar, was arrested in September, Holder didn't make the announcement until the next month, only days before he was to be subpoenaed to appear before a congressional committee to testify in the Fast and Furious guns-to-Mexico scandal that had come to light in the previous six months. Holder's report about the assassination attempt included this extraordinary information: The Iranian secret service was said to be trying to hire the Mexican Zeta drug cartel to perform the assassination. Apparently they would be using weapons that Holder's Bureau of ...
Islam 'Religion of Peace' Photo of the Day: October 12, 2000. 17 United States sailors were killed aboard the USS Cole while loading supply in Yemen by a suicide bomber in a small craft loaded with explosives. Cole bombing suspect and former Persian Gulf Operations Chief for al-Qaida Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri has been in U.S. custody since 2002 and at Gitmo since 2006. In February 2009, Obama met with Cole families and promised them justice. Then, he stabbed them in the back by ordering the (Social) Justice Department to abandon the death penalty case assembled against the al-Qaida mastermind under the Bush administration. That’s right: The Osama Bin Laden football-spikers in the Obama Administration deliberately dropped the USS Cole ball on al-Nashiri’s military prosecution because of their opposition to the Guantanamo Bay detention system. Jesse Nieto, father of murdered Cole sailor Marc Nieto, won’t forget it. “That really left a bitter, bad taste in my mouth,” he told the Newnan (Ga.) Times- ...
Arnold Schwarzenegger retained his Austrian citizenship during his service as a Governor of California. In 1999, the U.S. Attorney General's office issued an official opinion that a statutory provision that required the Justice Department not to employ a non-"citizen of the United States did not bar it from employing dual citizens.
This is just in. read the whole article at any other Justice Department, in any other administration, representing the enemies of the United States would have been a disqualifier for a job inside DOJ setting detainee policy,” said J. Christian Adams, a former DOJ official in the department’s Civil Rights Division. “But in [Attorney General] Eric Holder’s DOJ, it seems to be the chief prerequisite.”
The US Justice Department has finished their probe of the “Fast and Furious” gunrunning program that moved thousands of illegal firearms between the United States and Mexico, clearing Attorney General Eric Holder in the process.
In the 2008 United States election, I wrote in Ron Paul for President. In the 2012 election, I will be voting for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. Those who are of a more leftist persuasion than myself might want to consider voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein. Here are 95 examples of Barack Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption, and cronyism: 1) Carried out military interventionism in Libya without Congressional approval In June 2011, U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said that Obama had violated the Constitution when he launched military operations in Libya without Congressional approval. 2) Gave a no-bid contract to Halliburton – just like Bush did In May 2010, it was reported that the Obama Administration had selected KBR, a former subsidiary of Halliburton, for a no-bid contract worth as much as $568 million through 2011 for military support services in Iraq, just hours after the Justice Department had said it would pursue a lawsuit accusing the Houston-based company of ...
"The Pentagon is having paroxysms over No Easy Day, by Matt Bissonnette (writing as Mark Owen), which hit bookstores earlier this week. ... Bissonnette is therefore putting the secrecy apparatus of the United States to the test, and we will soon learn just how broken, politicized, and hypocritical the system really is. If the Justice Department refrains from airdropping lawyers onto the SEAL’s hometown, it will send a message that nondisclosure agreements are mere formalities. But if it does go after Bissonnette, it will signal that the only leaks actively pursued are those inconvenient to the White House. After all, if the Justice Department really cared about illegal revelations of the Osama Bin Laden raid, half of the West Wing would be in chains today."
I was reading last night and came across this. Obama lawyer warned against certifying eligibility 'For any party official to do so would be to perjure him or herself' A former U.S. Justice Department attorney who founded the government watchdog Judicial Watch and later Freedom Watch has warned a key Barack Obama attorney that Democratic Party or state elections officials certifying Obama’s eligibility for the 2012 election could be charged with election fraud. Larry Klayman explains in a letter that election officials can not be certain of Obama’s eligibility, and the law doesn’t allow them to make assumptions. The letter to Robert Bauer, general counsel to the Democratic National Committee, points to evidence of Obama’s ineligibility that would make letters from the DNC to states regarding his candidacy problematic. “There is therefore no longer any state or national official in the Democratic Party who can escape legal responsibility for ignoring the proof herein provided, and a plea of ignora ...
Stellar Wind is the open secret code name for certain information collection activities performed by the United States' National Security Agency and revealed by Thomas M. Tamm to New York Times reporters James Risen and Eric Lichtblau. The operation was approved by President George W. Bush shortly after the September 11 attacks in 2001. The program's activities involve data mining of a large database of the communications of American citizens, including e-mail communications, phone conversations, financial transactions, and Internet activity. There were internal disputes within the Justice Department about the legality of the program, because data is collected for large numbers of people, not just the subjects of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants. In March 2004, the Justice Department under Attorney General John Ashcroft ruled that the program was illegal. The day after the ruling, Ashcroft became critically ill with acute pancreatitis. President Bush sent White House counsel Alberto Gon ...
1. Obama is a National Security threat since he definitely has questionable allegiance to the United States, not to mention his refusal to complete and release full, frank and truthful answers as to who he is. Obama has demonstrated a blatant disregard for the public safety and security. 2. Obama and his handlers released an obvious forged birth certificate after release at least two fraudulent COLBs (Certifications of Live Birth). Obama is also using numerous stolen Social Security numbers. 3. Obama and his incompetent advisors have wreaked economic tyranny on the American People, all the while calling for the rest of us to endure economic sacrifice. 4. Obama has destroyed accepted administrative process by creating 32 Czars who only report to him, bypassing the Congress and Cabinet. * 5. In one year, Obama and his minions doubled our national debt, which took 200 years to accumulate. 6. Obama and his Justice Department sided with a foreign government (Mexico) when they sued the State of Arizona in order ...
--- United States 1789-1849 --- George Washington, elected the first president in 1789, set up a cabinet form of government, with departments of State, Treasury, and War, along with an Attorney General (the Justice Department was created in 1870). Based in New York, the new government acted quickly to rebuild the nation's financial structure. Enacting the program of Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton, the government assumed the Revolutionary war debts of the states and the national government, and refinanced them with new federal bonds. It paid for the program through new tariffs and taxes; the tax on whiskey led to a revolt in the west; Washington raised an army and suppressed it. The nation adopted a Bill of Rights as 10 amendments to the new constitution. The Judiciary Act of 1789 established the entire federal judiciary, including the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court became important under the leadership of Chief Justice John Marshall (1801–1834), Federalist and nationalist who built a strong Sup ...
The shooting incident in Aurora, CO was definitely a tragic event. Many people at that theater were simply trying to enjoy a newly released movie and one was celebrating his birthday. This tragedy was perpetrated by one man who was bent on destruction and mayhem and will be used by the ‘gun-grabbers’ to illustrate their need to further restrict the American right to keep and bear arms. Bear in mind that this was one man out of over 306,000,000 (0.03% of the population) when you hear their arguments. As a citizen of the United States, I do hereby demand that you vote NO on every unconstitutional bill to ban, confiscate, or limit ownership of any firearm by any American. I also demand you fight any attempt by the administration, the Justice Department, the Department of Homeland Security, or any other agency to skirt the constitution or the law to do the same. The most common justification for gun control is that if guns were outlawed, everyone would be safer because guns are not allowed. NOTHING C ...

Can you believe Mitt Romney running for President for the GOP is putting his money into Banks in other countries? Just so he doesn’t have to pay his taxes. Just think if all of us did this where would our freedom be…This makes this the biggest crime in the United States. The IRS and the US Justice Department should go an arrest him as so as they can….. He should be sent to a federal prison for tax evasion just like “Scarface”... Al Capone On June 16, 1931, Al Capone pled guilty to tax evasion and prohibition charges. He then boasted to the press that he had struck a deal for a two-and-a-half year sentence, but the presiding judge informed him he, the judge, was not bound by any deal. Capone then changed his plea to not guilty. On October 18, 1931, Capone was convicted after trial and on November 24, was sentenced to eleven years in federal prison, fined $50,000 and charged $7,692 for court costs, in addition to $215,000 plus interest due on back taxes. The six-month contempt of court sentence wa ...

6/18/12 - For awhile, we've been hearing about the growing evidence of a possible conspiracy between the Obama Justice Department, some state election officials, and groups in the ACORN network to subvert the 2012 election. I'm not big on conspiracy theories, but I think there IS something here: According to Judicial Watch, In the United States there are about 24 million voter registrations that have significant inaccuracies; for instance, an estimated 2 million dead people are still registered to vote. Also, voter rolls in more than one state are littered with convicted felons who are ineligible to vote. And many state's voter rolls include people who are registered to vote in more than one state. That's illegal. The potential for fraud when voter rolls are poorly maintained and out of date is enormous. How can the electorate have faith in the outcome of an election when dead people and convicted felons remain on the rolls?

He was given the option of requesting “a hearing with the Supervisor of Elections, for the purpose of providing proof that you are a United States citizens” or forfeit his right to vote. "In the closing days of the 2008 presidential campaign, Democratic candidate Barack Obama declared that he was poised to begin “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” He has certainly done so with respect to policies favored by Islamists. This part is a two-hour deep drill-down into the disastrous policies of the Obama White House, its State Department, Defense Department, Justice Department, Department of Homeland Security, and more."
There has been increased pressure lately from United States Congressional committee members as well as Justice Department's National Security unit been at odds with the Obama Administration regarding demands that a Pakistan-based militant group linked to the Taliban known as the Haqqani Network as well as Boko Haram be added to the foreign terrorist organization list.
CIA Double Agent? CIA and British Intelligence Created Ruse Known as al-Qaeda “The agent, who was in Yemen, was liaising with the CIA before handing the device over to intelligence services,” reports the Daily Mail. “The explosive device was supposed to be smuggled aboard an aircraft undetected and then detonated." It has been known for some time that British intelligence runs terrorist operations and protects key terrorist assets. In 2005, a terrorism expert and a former prosecutor for the Justice Department, John Loftus, revealed that the so-called mastermind of the 7/7 London bombings, Haroon Rashid Aswat, was a British intelligence asset. Aswat associate Abu Hamza al-Masri, an influential cleric at the notorious Finsbury Park mosque in London, had a long and productive relationship with British intelligence. He worked with the Special Branch of the British Police and MI5. He told his aides that he was “beyond the reach of British law.” In the 1990s, British intelligence paid al-Qaeda the equ ...

So the president of the United States gave an interview this week to Rolling Stone. When asked to explain his crackdown on medical marijuana dispensaries he said "I can’t ask the Justice Department to say, 'Ignore completely a federal law that’s on the books”'. Wonder why this doesn't apply to the crimes of Wall Street bankers, or war criminals from the previous administration.
Arizona’s illegal-immigration law heads to Supreme Court. Will justices strike it down? By Liz Goodwin Gov. Jan Brewer shortly before SB1070 was enjoined in 2010. (Ross D. Franklin/AP) Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the country's toughest illegal-immigration bill into law two years ago, setting off a long legal battle with the Obama Administration and inspiring half a dozen states to emulate Arizona and pass similar laws. On Wednesday, the Federal Government and Arizona will face off at the Supreme Court, where Justice Department lawyers will try to convince the court that the law is an unconstitutional invasion into the Federal Government's turf. A federal judge blocked four major aspects of the law before they ever went into effect, including the provision that local police officers check the immigration status of people during stops if they have reason to suspect they lack legal status. Provisions making it a state crime for illegal immigrants to seek work, or for any immigrant to fail to carry immig ...
