Good News: Attorney General Eric Holder announced yesterday that the Justice Department will be launching a Civil Rights investigation into the death of Eric Garner. Holder said the department will conduct an “independent, thorough, fair and expeditious investigation." President Obama also spoke about the incident yesterday. He seeks to strengthen the trust and accountability between the community & law enforcement by insuring that justice is served and all lives are protected.
The US Department of Justice in 2012 dropped the prosecution of Walter Bagdasarian who made terroristic threats towards President Obama. The Federal Courts in overturning Walter Bagdasarian's conviction cited 1st Amendment speech protections and a lack of intent or the means to carry out the threats. The US Department of Justice decided to not pursue the case to the Supreme Court and let the ruling stand. Now in 2014, The Department of Justice is charging Jaleel Tarik Abdul-Jabbaar who lives in the state of Washington for allegedly making online threats towards former Ferguson Police Officer and killer cop Darren Wilson who himself has never been arrested or indicted by The Department of Justice on any charge related to the execution of Michael Brown. It has been Mr. Bush who truly found his way into the hearts of the nation’s servicemen and women. After hearing of the Fort Hood massacre by Islamic terrorist Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 and wounded 38 on the 5th of November 2009, Mr. Bush and his wife, without escort, drove the thirty miles to visit the wounded and comfort the bereaved. Recently, President Obama nominated Mr. Debo Adegbile to serve as Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division. I oppose this nomination. Mr. Adegbile volunteered to represent Mumia Abu-Jamal, who murdered Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner in December 1981. Class action lawsuit against Obama and the NSA follows ruling against spy program (Tea Party) – President Obama and the National Security Agency are under fire in a new class action lawsuit that lawyer Larry Klayman says could top over 100 million plaintiffs. Klayman won a judgment in federal court which said that the NSA spy program is likely unconstitutional. Our President gave the Justice Department the O.K. to go forward with the "Fast & Furious" operation; gave assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels hoping to trace these weapons back to the same Mexican drug cartels. The court said the new law cannot take effect in five counties where the African-American vote could be key in November.
