“Operation Choke Point, a credit card fraud task force run by the Justice Department, was created to ‘choke out’ businesses the Obama administration finds objectionable, according to a congressional committee report obtained by The Washington Times. The administration is knowingly targeting these businesses, despite the fact they are legitimate, says a staff report released by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.” Washington Times 5/29/14 Key words: Legitimate Businesses Targeted. Apparently, if Obama doesn't approve he can and does sic the "Justice Dept." on you. Wait, isn't this sort of like the IRS targeting TEA Party members? Sort of like AP reporters being spied on? Sort of like... Oh, never mind. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. Not a smidgen of corruption. The country is in the best of hands.
Like her boss, IRS' Lois Lerner has trouble telling the truth. A House committee yesterday forwarded the latest evidence of her dishonesty to the Justice Department for investigation (good luck with that). According to new evidence Lerner illegally worked with outside liberal groups to harass and stop conservative groups from getting started. And, Democrat's defense that liberal groups were similarly examined has now been proven completely false. In fact, Lerner helped Obama campaign staff get fast-track approval for a new "non-political" non-profit. We believe she's hiding White House orders to harass opponents. Today another House Committee may hold Lerner in contempt for stonewalling.

The House Committee on Oversight may investigate the Justice Department's connection to the leftist Media Matters. by R. Cort Kirkwood
Fielding a barrage of questions from House committee members Thursday, the Inspector General for the Justice Department defended his finding that senior officials of the department had limited knowledge of the botched Operation Fast and Furious gun-trafficking sting, but should have asked more questions about the investigation.
Boy! Things have gotten really quiet after the Wisconsin election. Has anyone noticed that today Eric Holder actually threatened the House Committee with a Constitutional Crisis? Does anyone believe that he doesn't have more brass than a pawn broker? One of the two special prosecutors he has appointed to investigate the leaks that threaten our national security is an is an employee of the Justice Department, is an Obama supporter, has contributed to Obama's campaign, was hired by Holder in 1997 and has served on Obama's committee to vet vice presidential candidates. How impartial do you think he could be heading up an investigation into the White House? Folks, it is really time to put all the pressure on our elected officials...Senators and Congressmen. John Cornyn did a masterful job of reading Holder the riot act today. We need to get with the program.
Congressional Recess: Contact Your Representatives in Their Home Districts This Week! We must keep fighting the attack on the ADA. This week, your members of the House of Representatives are in their home offices. The attack on the ADA continues and is in fact one step closer to becoming law. On Thursday, April 26, Representative John Carter (R-TX), member of the House Committee on Appropriations, submitted an amendment to the Commerce, Justice and Science Appropriations bill. The amendment seeks “to bar the use of Justice Department funds under the bill to require public and commercial facilities to provide a permanent means of access to pools and spas to individuals with disabilities. Requirements for existing swimming pools are slated to take effect in May”. The amendment passed by a voice vote. Rep. Carter argued that it was not “common sense” to require permanent lifts for each swimming pool, which he contended would be costly for hotels, when the issue could be addressed through portable lif ...
