Judd Trump (born 21 August 1989) is an English professional snooker player from Bristol. He enjoyed considerable success in youth tournaments before turning professional in 2005. On 3 April 2011, Trump won his first ranking title, beating Mark Selby 10–8 in the final of the China Open. The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association, often abbreviated to the WPBSA, founded in 1968 and based in Bristol, England, United Kingdom is the governing body of professional snooker and English billiards. /5

11th January 2013 Snooker fans in London, Bristol and Portsmouth will be able to watch the Betfair Masters on BBC Big Screens next week. The sport's biggest invitation tournament will be shown on the Big Screens in Waltham Forest and Woolwich in London, and in city centres in Bristol and Portsmouth. The Betfair Masters runs from January 13-20 at Alexandra Palace in London, with the likes of Judd Trump, John Higgins, Mark Selby and Neil Robertson battling for the £175,000 top prize. A spokesman for World Snooker said: "We're delighted with the continued coverage from the BBC's Big Screens as it's fantastic way to raise awareness of our events. Hopefully people passing by the screens will stop to watch a couple of frames and get hooked on snooker! "It's also a great chance for friends to get together to watch the snooker and create their own atmosphere in their home town."
