"Join us at 6PM on Thursday, May 1 for a free screening of 'Harvest of Empire: The Untold Story of Latinos in America.' Adapted from the landmark book written by Democracy Now's co-anchor Juan Gonzalez, "Harvest of Empire" is a gripping documentary that reveals the political and social roots that have driven millions to migrate from Latin America to the United States. The screening will be followed by a discussion. Refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponosred by the May Day USA Education Committee, the Philadelphia Unemployment Project (PUP), and the Faculty and Staff Federation of Community College of Philadelphia AFT Local 2026.
