However; she did cause enough of a distraction that I think no one noticed that I was still trying to find where the song was...Left this Church confused only to ask my child what he learned not because I wanted him to tell me but because I had no clue of what I was supposed to have learned! Sad! :/ Where is Joel Olsteen or Joyce Meyer's when you need them? I thought Biblical Scholars were confusing...oh they can't touch this Minister! Over the past few years, I've learned something about myself: For a long time I wasn't sure what to think about Joyce Meyer. She seemed kinda rough, in-your-face with truth. I wanted to be uber-soft & gentle like I thought I saw in Beth Moore & Kay Arthur. Well, I have come to peace with the fact that I am way more like Joyce than the other two ;-) On the bright side, with all the listening & watching I've pseudo-done, I don't believe I've seen her speak against God's Word and truth. So, I'm OK with that now.

Yesterday, our prison ministry team was at Bradshaw State Jail in Henderson, TX. 2,020 men received soap, shampoo and Joyce Meyer books. During four of the services held, 190 prisoners came to Christ!

People such as, Joel Osteen, Charles Stanley, Andy Stanley, Joyce Meyer, are the farthest things from Christian. They open the bible and tell you what it doesn't say. I'm not trying to be mean, but I care too much for people who place value in such hypocritical figures. Rather than listen to them, read your own bible, and not rely on people who are preaching for fame and checks. They pose more threat to christianity than Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Haris (Atheist) ever wwill.

For a long time now it has mystified me at the number of people, pastor’s and lay persons alike, who was raised in old time Pentecost, have now have turned to false prophets such as Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, T. D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Oprah, and several others, for their inspiration! After much wonderment I have finally come to the conclusion this is the result of two things: (1) They have lost their first love and are now lukewarm, or (2) even though they have preached and taught for years and years, they only have head knowledge of the Word of God, and are carrying on in the flesh and not the Spirit. In either case, it is so sad to see so much of this in our supposedly Pentecostal churches.

Finally brothers( & sisters), whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- think about such things.(the things we allow our minds 2 dwell on will be revealed by the way we live.    I was listening to Joyce Meyer one morning and she was talking about financial freedom, and the guest she had on was talking about our created purpose and how can be held hostage with finances and be kept from our created purpose. I fall in that category, but I was thinking that there are other things that may keep us from our created purpose as well, like fear, low self esteem, unforgiveness (of others and ourselves), negativity, passivity, or any sort of thoughts that are not lined up with the Word of God can hold us hostage and captive and the enemy(satan) loves that! The enemy really wants to steal all he can from us to keep us from kingdom living and winning others for Christ. You're not built for guilt! When I ask large audiences how many people spend their lives feeling guilty, my guess is that at least 80 percent of the people raise their hands. I was part of that 80 percent until I decided that I was not built for guilt, and I was not going to continue to allow a renegade feeling to rule my life. I studied God's Word about guilt and studied His character and nature until I was totally convinced that God is not the source of guilt. I see guilt as an illegal invader that attacks our mind and conscience, attempting to prevent us from enjoying anything God has provided for us. Guilt has no legal right in our lives because Jesus has paid for our sins and misdeeds. If it is sin in us illegally, then we need to send it back where it came from, which is *** Refuse to let guilt still you joy any longer. You must remember that you are not built for guilt. Prosperity Teachers Most of the prosperity preachers of today...Joyce Meyer, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn and a host of others...base their teachings and their entire ministries on the concept that Christ wants you to be rich. This one basic tenet of their ministries is so ungodly and unbiblical as to defy the humility and unworldliness of both Christ and His friends/followers. Yet, we are told to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven where these treasures will last for eternity. Jesus Christ was never rich in worldly standards as the world hated him. The Apostle Paul was rich prior to his ministry but sacrificed the wealth and esteem of being a Pharisee to follow the Lord per His calling. A look at the prophets and apostles for the most part will show humble men and women who focused entirely on the will of God and their material possessions, if any, were not a source of discussion or comment. Yesterday on Joyce Meyer, Lisa Whelchel was her guest and they were talking about successful relationships. Lisa was talking about how at an early age she learned that acceptance and approval was based on her performance. Oh, how I related to her story. She was talking about her mother, and how difficult it was to balance staying between her approval and her anger. She talked about how she built walls around herself, and how she realized that while walls may keep others out, they also keep you in. Something I, too, had realized. When you live your life to please others to gain their approval you are setting yourself up for failure. Because you cannot be everything to everybody.
