Josh Gad in Talks to Play The Thing in "Fantastic Four" Reboot? There has been lots of casting news regarding the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot. Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) will likely play Johnny Storm, while several actors are up for the roles of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. But none of the news stories ever mentioned anything about Ben Grimm/The Thing. There's a good chance that The Thing will be CG character in the movie, but you still need an actor to voice him and potentially wear the motion-capture suit. According to that actor will be Josh Gad, who recently starred in "JOBS" and has previously voiced characters in "Frozen" and "Ice Age: Continental Drift." Gad's casting has yet to be confirmed by 20th Century Fox, but says that this rumor comes from people who are close to the project. "Fantastic Four" will be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle) and is set to hit theaters on June 19th, 2015.

A new report from an unlikely source suggests that plans are further along than it may have seemed to ensure that outcome. According to a Motley Fool report on outside movie studios taking advantage of Marvel Studios' success, Fox is adapting the 1987 comic book series Fantastic Four vs. The X-Men as a way to bring the two franchises together. The report specifically points out that this movie is in addition to Trank's reboot for the FF franchise. It's clobberin' time! Matthew Vaughn producing new Fantastic Four movie with Josh Trank directing. Nerds rejoice! Hope they go Avengers-like action with a bad *** Thing versus family oriented like last time.
Matthew Vaughn to Produce Fantastic Four Reboot. Matthew Vaughn will produce Fox's The Fantastic Four, which will be directed by Josh Trank.
Adapting Team Ico's Shadow of the Colossus for the big screen is, in all seriousness, no small feat. Chronicle's Josh Trank is already attached to direct, and now Seth Lochhead, co-writer of the Joe Wright-directed 2011 action thriller Hanna, has been tapped to write the film.
Let's just hope that Josh Trank's Fantastic Four movie is just as good.
A gift from the homie Josh Trank! one of one Chronicle poster that didn't make it.
It is! You’ll no doubt be intrigued to learn director Josh Trank is helming the Fantastic Four reboot—and possibly Venom! (squee!)
Finally got round to watching chronicle. Very impressed. Really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see what Josh Trank does next
Chronicle is a very entertaining film; great work from the cast and director Josh Trank
The year 2015 could well be, well, the perfect year as we get the new Star Wars sequel, The Avengers 2, Justice League and Ant-Man.Now we can add The Fantastic Four to that roster.Directed by Josh Trank, the man behind the magnificent Chronicle, and written by Michael Green and Jeremy Slater, the fi...
The reboot will be helmed by 'Chronicle' director Josh Trank.
Important Marvel news: Words from Mark Millar, recently appointed consultant of Fox's Marvel franchises (X-Men, Fantastic 4) “Fox are thinking, ‘We’re sitting on some really awesome things here. There is another side of the Marvel Universe. Let’s try and get some cohesiveness going.’ So they brought me in to oversee that really, so to meet with the writers and directors to suggest new ways we could take this stuff and maybe new properties that could spin out of it, because the X-Men alone feels like a universe of itself; there’re so many characters, there’re so many great potential spin-off characters. So, they asked me to come in and work out a plan, so unfortunately at this point I can’t get too specific. I do have plan, I’ve got a three to four year plan of where things could go, but you know, I’ll be working with guys like Matthew and so on, and Josh Trank – the new director of Fantastic Four – and just figuring out how everything can kind of work together and not contradict e ...
Directors I would like to direct Star Wars 7... Duncan Jones, Gondry, Rian Johnson, Gilliam, Zemekis, Stanton, Josh Trank or Gareth Edwards
Fox is really stepping their game up when it comes to their upcoming Marvel films.: The Wolverine-James Mangold, X-Men: Days of Future Past-Brian Singer, Fantastic Four reboot-Josh Trank, Deadpool-Tim Miller. *** I'm actually excited for all of these :)
I'm thinking of what young directors that could be asked to do one of the upcoming Star Wars movies. Anybody on here wish to pine in with their two cents, please go ahead. All these directors I think would work very well. Duncan Jones -- Moon, Source Code Rian Johnson -- Looper, Breaking Bad Greg Mottola -- Adventureland, Paul Pete Doctor -- Monsters Inc, Up Josh Trank -- Chronicle Joe Cornish -- Attack the Block Matt Reeves -- Cloverfield, Let Me In
I honestly don't know. Say Doug Jones, Neil Blokamp and/or Josh Trank got a film to make. Now that would be exciting
While chatting on his new role as Marvel Movie Consultant, Mark Millar said that Fantastic Four director Josh Trank will be looking to use classic stories from the Jack Kirby and Stan Lee era for the movie.
In his interview with SFX magazine, Twentieth Century Fox creative consultant Mark Millar talked extensively about the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past movie. He also touched lightly on the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot from director Josh Trank. Earlier this year, Josh Trank stunned Hollywood ...
...Much like Josh Trank or Marc Webb, though, I can see him directing a Sony/Fox-owned CBM, or even its entire franchise.
Fox hasn’t always done the best job making use of its Marvel Comics film properties — they appear to have just lost the rights to Daredevil, and their Fantastic Four films aren’t considered classics. So it’s probably good news that they’ve hired Mark Millar, who’s done so much to reshape how Marvel’s characters are portrayed with series like Ultimates, as their new Marvel movie consultant. Upcoming for the studio is THE WOLVERINE, starring Hugh Jackman, directed by James Mangold; X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, helmed by Matthew Vaughn; and a reboot of “Fantastic Four, to be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle).
A Fantastic Four reboot...serious Hollywood? Get some original ideas for once.
6. Kahaani (Sujoy Ghosh) and Chronicle (Josh Trank). they're hidden gem of 2012. very very good.
Just saw what a creative fuggin movie. Kudos to you Josh Trank
A6. Josh Trank as I only saw Chronicle this year on Blu-Ray and thought it was ace.
A6 Also Josh Trank after Chronicle - he may be doing Fantastic Four
Finally caught up with Chronicle - and loved it. I think Josh Trank will give us a very special FF movie.
With The Flash likely heading to the big screen within the next few years, I've compiled a list of six directors who I think are qualified to properly bring the Fastest Man Alive to life in his long in-development movie.
I'm trying really hard, but I don't think I can think of one person I'd want to direct Fantastic Four than Josh Trank.
I highly recommend. Chronicle (2012) directed by Josh Trank, who is rumoured to direct new Fantastic Four film. Wauw.
Seriously guys. It's time to get excited about Josh Trank. Just sayin.
So basically, Josh Trank did an amazing job.

"Spider-Man shoots webs? Get me Marc Webb. Wolverine mangles people? Get me James Mangold. Fantastic Four makes people sleepy? Josh Trank."
Two of my favorite movies from early this year were "The Grey" and "Chronicle." Apparently Fox liked them too, because they have put the directors of those movies in charge of the only superhero movies they have left and are desperately trying to hold onto - Daredevil and the Fantastic Four. I know it's just a blatant cash grab, and I should know better by now, but I'm excited for Joe Carnahan and Josh Trank's takes on these characters. Especially Daredevil... we need to make up for that Ben Affleck thing that happened.
Chronicle helmer Josh Trank may have overbooked his commitments as Warner Bros. and Fox face potential scheduling conflicts.
