Today was the 2nd best day that I had @ Jet Blue Park! Mom & my friends Joe & Carol took me to the full squad workout practice & we also took a tour of the park! While I was there I saw Big Papi,Clay Buchholz, Koji Uehara, Jon Lester, John Lackey, Xander Bogaerts, Mike Napoli, Dustin Pedroia, Johnny Gomes, Daniel Nava, Mike Carp & all the other players! It was so cool to see the pitchers bat & joke around with one another! Also to watch the infield do their drills & do batting practice! I also took a tour of the field, that was a awesome! We got to sit in the visitors dugout, walk the warning track & sit up in the green monster seats! Does anyone know why @ Jet Blue Park does the Red Sox sit on the 3rd base side & why does the visitors sit on the 1st base side? Joe & Carol, you can't answer that one though! Thank you Joe & Carol for making this day extra special for me! While we were on the tour & sitting in the dugout we saw Mike Napoli doing a commercial, he looks so different all dressed up! When we we ...

berita hari ini : Tigers Lose No-Hit Bid but Not Game - New York Times BOSTON — Anibal Sanchez was once a prospect blazing a path toward Fenway Park, toward postseason glory, toward the spoils that eventually went to Jon Lester, his teammate in 2005 on the Class AA Portland Sea Dogs, a Red Sox affiliate. They shared a rotation and visions of a bright future with the Red Sox, rising in lock step, but their paths ultimately diverged. Sanchez was traded. Lester was promoted. They had little in common beyond that summer in Maine. Their link was rejoined Saturday night, but Lester now has a more ignominious recognition: he was the losing pitcher in a 1-0 win by Sanchez and the Detroit Tigers in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, a pitching gem that very nearly made its way into the record books. Daniel Nava singled with one out in the ninth inning to end the bid by five Tigers pitchers to throw the third postseason no-hitter. But when it was finished, they struck out 17 Red Sox, tying Bob Gib ...

Game over, Red Sox beat the Blue Jays 7-4. Very strange game. The Red Sox exploded for 7 runs all in the 2nd inning. The offense was very quiet for the rest of the game. Jon Lester took a no-hitter into the 5th inning, and pitched pretty well until he left the game with a sore right hip in the 8th inning (he said after the game that the injury isn't serious and he expects to make his next start). Daniel Nava hit an RBI single in the 1st inning. Salty followed up with another RBI single. Drew followed that up with an RBI double. Iglesias brought in Salty on an infield single. Ellsbury drove in Drew on a single. And then Dustin Pedroia put the icing on the cake in the 2nd inning with a two-run shot. Jon Lester (8-4) got the win: 7 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 5 K. Tazawa in the 8th. Uehara in the 9th to pick up his 3rd save of the season. The Red Sox will look to take game two of this four-game series tomorrow night. Allen Webster will be on the mound. First pitch is at 7:10. On NESN and WEEI radio. Go Sox!
