I liked a video Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Televangelists (HBO)
John Michie is bloody good but it was an irritating series that nobody wanted and the beeb overhyping it didn't help.
It has been a year since he joined Holby and 3 since Taggart finished yet I still only see John Michie as Robbie Ross… Ugh, lovely rogue.
You can add YOUR FACE to the girls' rights campaign like John Michie and picnic at
Random fact: John Michie (Guy) and the patient on Keller were once in a Taggart episode together. I could tell you everything about that ep.

John Michie Interview Former Coronation Street actor John Michie joins Holby City this week as the new CEO Guy Self. What’s in store for his character? John reveals to holby.tv… How would you describe your character Guy? Guy’s very ambitious and driven; he’s also a little flirtatious but emotionally closed. He has incredible self-belief both as a surgeon and as a pioneer in the NHS. He considers himself to be the best in his profession so he expects everyone else to be the best at what they do too. How will his arrival shake up the Holby wards? Guy’s arrival catches everyone off guard and he likes that as it will keep everyone on their toes so he can get the best work out of them! The staff are quite nervous and immediately start speculating about what will happen to their jobs and what plans Guy has in store for the hospital. Guy has big ambitions for Holby City and no-one will stand in his way of making it the best hospital it can possibly be. Who will be his main rivals and allies? Initially ...

Counties Power Game of the Week - Patumahoe v Onewhero Prems The Counties Power Game of the week is will see Patumahoe host Onewhero at Patumahoe at 2.45pm this Saturday The last time these two teams met it was on the hill and Onewhero beat the blue and gold 30-14, securing the Nicholson-Dark Memorial Trophy in the process. A trophy to honour the late Jason Dark from Patumahoe and Stephen Nicholson from Onewhero. These two country clubs both have had elements of disappointment to their season. Patumahoe had a slow start and now find themselves second to last on the table having three wins under their belt and Onewhero have lost some close games which can be defining in a competition this tough, racking up eight wins. Patumahoe are coached by John Michie and Buck Manning who have established a team that is a blend of locally grown talent and external recruits. They are seeing the benefits from their strong Junior Club and grade system. The have the exciting addition of the tallest lock in the competition . ...

From the Steelers Page: "Counties Power Profile Game The Counties Power Game this week that we will be profiling is the bottom of the premier table clash between Patumahoe and Papakura. Patumahoe were the competition champions last year but have found themselves sitting second to last with two wins this season. Coached by John Michie and Buck Manning they lost a few key players to Investec Super Rugby like Bundee Aki and Jimmy Tupou which has had an impact. Now hopefully their new locking combo that joined the club last week of Ryan Wilson and former Patumahoe man Reece Logan will help fill that void. Wilson has returned to New Zealand from Italy, complementing the locking stocks for the Steelers and Logan out of retirement. Their consistent performers have been flanker Sean Reidy and midfielder John Vui. Their new recruits have been prop Henry Tapaevalu who took a break after the U21s and James Taylor who has come up from the reserves has shown he has been quite handy. "Papakura have nothing to loose and ...
Coronation Street villain Karl Munro considers killing again next week as he knows that he needs to silence Dev Alahan for good. Karl is left in a panic as Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) continues to play detective over the Rovers Return fire and edges dangerously close to the terrible truth. Realising that it's time to take action, Karl heads over to Dev's house and grabs a golf trophy, ready to strike. Can he really go through with taking another life? Here, John Michie - who plays Karl - teases the dark scenes ahead as his character has murder in mind. How confident is Karl that he's in the clear after starting the Rovers fire and killing Sunita? "Karl is feeling confident that he's gotten away with starting the Rovers fire. He feels as though he has that in the bag. But he's very nervous about Sunita's death. Karl isn't really a killer and he never meant to kill Sunita, so he's completely freaked out by the series of events." How guilty does Karl feel about what he's done? Is he still consumed by the guilt he ...
