It was reaffirmed yesterday that my veins are easy to find, but they absolutely refuse to retain a needle... The normal amount of times they try per am is 6 or 7 times each before they are able to get the needle to hold. I'm a human pincushion. In other news, my books came in!! So, while I am lying here waiting for my back to recover, I have Raymond Carver and John Green to keep me company.

BOOK REVIEW OF THE DAY! The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald. For the John Green fans. ~Obi Wan So when you first read the Great Gatsby you need to pay attention to the story within it. If you're a fan of John Green he's talking a lot about it. Let's start with Jay Gatsby. Jay is a man of mysteries. He is known for the Gatsby Mansion and his extravagant parties. Nick Carroway lives next door. He is engulfed with the romanticism of the Jazz Age only to discover the horor of it all. To quote the last line in the book "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." -Nick Carroway

John Green's 4-book collection box is now available at National Bookstore. I thought I like it so much to choose it over my dental checkup. After buying Agatha Christie's Appointment with Death (my first of Agatha Christie, let's find out how she is as a writer 'cause I heard she's a queen), I wanted to go back and buy that box. There was a (single book) The Fault in Our Stars. There, found out those four books are another love stories. Plus The Fault in Our Stars is a love story. Cancer. Love. Something. K. Dot. I changed my mind and spent the money for good food instead. :D
Barnes & Noble has all of the John Green books but I need to buy BR or I'll go crazy
My creative writing teacher has now dissed teen fiction in TWO different class periods. I have been good so far about biting my tongue, but I don't know if I'll be able to hold in my teen librarian rage if it happens a third time... "Oh, only LITERARY fiction is valid?! Try some Libba Bray! Margo Lanagan! M.T. Anderson's Octavian Nothing! Next, get off your snobbery horse and read some funny and charming John Green! Beautiful and spooky Maggie Stiefvater! Your beloved Sherman Alexie's marvelously funny and sad Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian! Or, queen of badass young women in fantasy fiction, Tamora freakin' Pierce!" *deep breath* Okay. I should probably NOT yell all that. But I will have a calmer version of that lecture ready, I swear...

Demi apa lo belom dibaca juga. "Good things in life: I have John Green books. Bad things in life: I don't have time to read them."
“Oh, I’m grand.” Augustus Waters smiled with a corner of his mouth. “I’m on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend.” ― John Green
Just finished reading The Fault in Our Stars. Goddammit John Green, why must you hurt me so? Fantastic book, definitely recommend it to everyone.
Oído al pasar: Person: I don't think books can hurt somebody emotionally. J.K. Rowling: Oh, John Green: Is...
Sparky again, you will have to put up with me for another quiz question “The thing with _ is that it demands to be felt” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars What word is missing ? ~Sparky
This week it was announced that 'The Fault in Our Stars' by New York Times best-selling author John Green, which is currently being adapted to film, has acquired a director. Josh Boone, who recentl...
Books read this past week: Every Day by David Levithan--thank you, Francine at The Voracious Reader, for giving me this one a while back. One of my favorite Young Adult novels ever, up there with John Green's novels, with the premise of a guy who inhabits a different teen body every day, but he falls in love along the way and wants to stay...in one body: can he? His books get the emotional life of teenagers right on. Another recommendation from The Voracious Reader: Elizabeth Laban's THE TRAGEDY PAPERS, about a teen who is an albino taking his last semester senior year at a boarding school, when he falls for the "it" girl on campus--only she's taken. The twist (which reminds me of 13 Reasons Why) is that you're hearing his story from the recordings he leaves the next year for a guy a year below him. The story pulled me through--couldn't stop reading, even if the writing was sometimes a bit clunky. Worth the read. And finally, BURN FOR BURN, by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian: a Young Adult revenge story abou ...
How awesome would it be if Hank Green gets closer with Alex Gaskarth and All Time Low and Hank/John Green tour together?
I'm going to be writing a very strong worded letter to Mr. John Green about how he completely murdered my feels with his unbelievable talent, that makes me fell as though everything I write is crap, with a capital C. *spoiler for fault in our stars and honestly don't read this if you are planning to read fault in our stars.* DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU! . . . . . . . I was in the car reading FIOS and I read: Augustus passed away 8 days later, and I just lost it completely. Tears, sobs, everything. And my brother was laughing at me because I was crying and I was just like: 'GUS WAS SO PERFECT! TAKE ME INSTEAD CRUEL WORLD!' *** That book kills every single feel in your body and now whenever I see water I think: Augustus Waters, and I'm off again.
Speaking of John Green, I hold up buying Looking For Alaska because I hate the candle paperback cover. I want the flower one.
I am deeply & irrevocably in love with David Levithan's writing...I think even a little more than John Green's. Currently reading: every day
Unpacked a delivery late yesterday -- just-in's include "Code Name Verify" (hist fic) & John Green's "An Abundance of Katherines" in the Young Adult section ... the latest in Terry Johnston's 'The Plainsmen' series, "Ashes of Heaven" ... the autobio "American Sniper" by Chris Kyle (so recently killed) was just released in p/b ... in the Religion section, NT Wright's "Simply Jesus" ... man, just go watch John Green book reccomendations~
Hi there, just thought I'd put out a notice real quick that if anyone wanted to lend me any John Green book and/or Perks of Being A Wallflower that would be sweet. Cause I'm poor. Yea
So, for all you kids (and this is my definition of "kids" - it means anyone) out there who haven't been doing so, I urge you to go find the nearest John Green book at the earliest convenience and read it. The man is just good at what he does. Anyone interested, I will soon have a copy of "The Fault in Our Stars" - a beautiful, poignant, and moving book that is nonetheless light and humorous enough to read easily - available for loan.
Finish a book in an evening; think about it all night long. Thanks, John Green.
I have a feeling that someone will give me a John Green book set on my birthday
6. Favorite book: Hard decision, but probably Paper Towns by John Green. Or Looking For Alaska. ~TA11
anyone got a copy of John Dies At The End, or This Book Is Full Of Spiders i could borrow... or buy... same with any Philip K *** novels or John Green.
The characters in my book had a movie marathon and are now going to a diner. I'm convinced John Green was writing about and I.
do-not-sink-my-ships: sherlockses: What if John Green wrote a book and then Steven Moffat wrote a television...
my brother said if you wanna read another book by John Green he has it It's Looking For Alaska
Yay! Glad to hear. I hope the rest is great, too. Apparently it's John Green meets Stephen King, which sounds perfect.
