Dear Editor 85% of Americans think creating jobs is an absolute priority which is why Republicans first job on taking control of both houses was to pass and abortion bill and to defund President Obama's so called amnesty program which a majority of Republicans favor. Can anyone explain to me how elected officials can justify anything but bleeding over job creation. Can anyone explain why when 85% of Americans consider it a absolute priority the Media is unaware of it in favor of Mike Huckabee calling Jay Z a pimp. The only job creation plan Republicans know of or acknowledge as legitimate is cutting taxes and regulations, along with slashing Government spending are by holy writ from Grover Norquist the only policies that won't utterly destroy all creation. Republicans and the Media have trumpeted the failure of every thing Obama and yet at the end of the day the President seems to have been proven right all along. Producing record job growth President Obama shows himself in line with the American People h ...

House Speaker John Boehner delivered a floor speech today in support of the Department of Homeland Security funding bill passed by his chamber earlier this afternoon. As Conn explained, the measure fully funds DHS for the remainder of the fiscal year, carving out a specific exception to shut down any appropriations that would be applied to implementing President Obama's unilateral amnesty -- which suspends deportations and grants legal work visas to millions of illegal immigrant adults. Boehner said the House's action was about a principle far greater than partisan wrangling over immigration policy: "The president’s overreach is an affront to the rule of law and the Constitution itself...We are dealing with a president who has ignored the people, ignored the Constitution, and even his own past statements. In fact, on at least 22 occasions, he said he did not have the authority to do what he has done." Indeed he did. Congressional Democrats are predictably fear-mongering over the House's action, with Nan ...

Speaker of the House John Boehner threw a tantrum during his press conference because President Obama refused to give Republicans any advantage before he issued his veto threats.
"John Boehner has been reelected House Speaker -- proving that the Republican Party sorely misread the message voters were trying to send to Washington. President Obama has his lap dog -- and the American taxpayers have been shown the dog house. I was especially disappointed in Rep. Trey Gowdy. He posted a message explaining that he was stuck in South Carolina due to bad weather. He then went on to say that had he been in DC -- he would've voted for Boehner, too. That one hurt, Mr. Gowdy." Todd Starnes SO DISAPPOINTING! Worse! A stab in the back of those who elected these people to do their will!! Are we no longer represented?? YES, I believe so!!
Debbie Wiser Williams--- "First, John Boehner never intended for Congress to pass the CRomnibus. His deceitful plan was to insert what he thought were a couple of poison pills Democrats would rail against so Republicans could pass a very short-term funding bill. In fact, House leadership promised to pull the CRomnibus for lack of votes and replace it with a short-term continuing resolution that would push the entire funding debate into early next year when Republicans could enact their “Obama nullification” agenda for the Koch Brothers. Now, a Republican-controlled Congress has lost its “power of the purse” to eviscerate several federal agencies in 2015. Remember, incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had already promised the Koch Brothers last June that when Republicans controlled the House and Senate, they would “go after the federal government, all of it” in 2015 by threatening to shut down the government unless Obama caved. It was an ill-advised plan that President Obama anticipa ...

Question of the Day: Do you think John Boehner made a mistake by teaming up with President Obama to pass the spending bill? Sadly, Boehner represents everything that is wrong with Washington. He has no inspiring vision for the future of this country and I think he disrespected the American voters tonight.
The federal debt has increased by $3.8 trillion in the 3.8 years that have passed since House Speaker John Boehner cut his first spending deal with Senate Democrats and President Obama.
BBC 12 December 2014 Last updated at 02:31 ET US Congress, Washington "US House passes $1.1tn budget bill to avert shutdown" The US House Of Representatives has passed a $1.1tn budget, hours before government was due to shut down at midnight on Thursday. The Republican measure was passed by 219 votes to 206 after President Barack Obama had urged Democrats to support the budget. It will fund most of the government until September 2015, but some areas will only receive short-term funding. Republicans won control of both House and Senate in elections last month. A relieved John Boehner, the Republicans' House leader, said: "Thank you and Merry Christmas." Fifty-seven Democrats voted for the bill, but others were angry about the president's call for support of the Republican bill, with Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi saying she was "enormously disappointed" at Mr Obama's position. The Republicans strongly oppose President Obama's immigration reforms and so the bill only funds the Department of Homeland S ...

You know it. I know it. The American People know it. This country faces enormous economic and political challenges. At a time when the wealthiest people and largest corporations are doing phenomenally well, most Americans are working longer hours for lower wages and median family income has fallen by $5,000 since 1999. Politically, more and more Americans are giving up on the political process -- with the voter turnout in the recent midterm elections being the lowest since 1942. But, while young people and working people don't vote, the Koch Brothers and others in the billionaire class spend huge sums to elect candidates who will represent their interests. What do we do? Well, we can give up -- and many people are. Or, we can fight back -- which is what I propose. That's why I'm joining with the members of Progressives United to send a clear message to President Obama that we will stand with him when he vetoes Republican legislation that attacks the well-being of the struggling Middle Class. President Obama has set the Republicans up, and John Boehner walked into the president's trap today by vowing to stop him on immigration.

Well FB family and friends, it's about time for the general elections and I don't usually state my comments about politics because most times it leads to controversy. But here are my thoughts. A lot of people feel that just voting for a president is all there is, but we as a people must understand the importance of this general election. I hear a lot of people complaining about what President Obama hasn't done but we must understand that alot of things that he tried to do, Not just for blacks and other minorities but for everyone, was knocked down by people in the House Of Representatives and the Senate. It is a known fact that John Boehner has never agreed with anything that the President has proposed and also his good ole boy buddy Mitch Mcconnell, even if it was a wonderful idea they opposed it (I wonder why) anyways people I encourage and implore you to please get out and vote on November 4th, so that we can get these wonderful REPUBLICANS out of office and maybe the President may be able to implement ...

Did House Speaker John Boehner (R) of Ohio just suggest that President Obama essentially start a new American land war in Iraq and Syria?
Bill Maher was on a roll last night, but one of his hardest hitting moments was when he tore into Texas-Tea-Party Senator Ted Cruz, Koch money addicted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner — all within two minutes. “Ted Cruz: the patient zero for the dysfunction in this town,” Maher said, noting the hilariously absurd lies Cruz has told about Democrats’ efforts to overturn the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court ruling. Maher went on to theorize that Pres. Obama is performing well as president because “when you grow up black in America, you have to learn how to be patient with stupid white people,” and “that is a lot of what government is, no matter what color you are: being patient with stupid white people.” “Did you ever see President Obama when he comes out of a meeting with Mitch Mcconnell or John Boehner, these mental giants he has to work with?” Maher asked the crowd. “He always tries to put a positive spin on it. Jim Hightower | What's Wrong With the GOP's *** No" Faction Ah, August — that time of year when the going gets tough ... and Congress gets going. On vacation that is. And, to be fair, maybe Congress needs a vacation. All the stress of not passing laws and constantly thwarting any attempt by President Obama to fix America's problems seems to be straining their sanity. For starters, if you thought that, surely, partisan posturing by far-right congress critters couldn't get any nuttier, you'd be wrong. Last month, the GOP claimed that all the talk about impeaching President Barack Obama is being led by — guess who? — Barack Obama! If you'll recall, the top Republican leader, John Boehner (having discovered that the larger public is appalled that his party would even consider wasting time on such extremist nonsense) tried to do a political backflip. Impeachment talk, he fumed, is "a scam started by Democrats at the White House." No Republican lawmakers, he barked to the media, are even discussing it. .. ...

When are the American People going to wake-up and get these morons and bums out of office? This is the same bunch of Republicans' and Tea Party Activists' who spent all of 2013 writing 624 bills regulating women's bodies and zero bills regulating men's bodies. Republican political situation beginning to resemble Alice's Adventures in Wonderland As our political landscape begins to resemble the Wonderland into which Alice fell, the writer assigns characters to an imaginary Washington Wonderland: Our President would have to be Alice. I can't be the only one who looks at the political scene in Washington, D.C. and concludes it looks a lot like Lewis Carroll's 19th century fantasies, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. Hawks Push for Iraq War: The Rule of Law Prevents It Obama Does Not Have the Authority to go to War Without Congressional Authorization by Kevin Zeese / June 14th, 2014 The same people who got the US into the mistaken Iraq War are now urging President Obama to use military force in Iraq again. Republican hawks are using the violence in Iraq as a political tool that is escalating pressure for US military intervention. But, if the US follows the rule of law — both US and international law — the president does not have the authority to attack Iraq without Congressional and UN authorization. House Majority Leader Boehner, who's eyes filled with tears, had to stop talking after only a few words: "We've been wrong. Sometimes, before heaven and earth, you just have to say what's true." What effect this will have on the upcoming elections is unclear. President Obama, when asked by ABC's Diane Sawyer for a reaction, appeared not to have heard about the meeting. Russia: Russia hits US officials with sanctions, as Obama expands penalties. The Russian government slapped sanctions on top U.S. officials on Thursday, moments after President Obama imposed penalties on 20 Russians inside and outside the government -- as diplomatic efforts over Ukraine unraveled into a long-distance *** for tat. The newest sanctions would bar nine American officials from entering Russia. The list includes House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio; Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.; and Sen. John Mccain, R-Ariz. Just as Vladimir Putin's government shrugged off U.S. sanctions earlier in the week, so did the Americans targeted by Moscow. "I guess this means my spring break in Siberia is off, my Gazprom stock is lost, and my secret bank account in Moscow is frozen," McCain quipped in a statement. "Nonetheless, I will never cease my efforts on behalf of the freedom, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea."
President Obama announced tough new sanctions against some close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In response, Putin announced sanctions against President Obama, Joe Biden, John Boehner, John Mccain, and others. Republicans say that Putin is taking Crimea because President Obama is "weak." So what would you have us do John Mccain, Lindsey Graham, John Boehner and other Koch Brothers puppets - go to war with Russia? Is that what McCain/Palin would have done had they won the White House?
I believe the tyranny of the IRS trageting conservative groups is so egregious it demands the nullification of the 2012 Election. This is not a joke! This unprecedented government corruption is shaking the very foundations of Democracy. The more you learn about the sleaze, the debth and the scope of government malfeasance, the more terrified you should become! The Constitution is tucked away in a dark vault in the National Archives Building. America has been destroyed from within while top Republican and Democratic leaders alike, confederate to fend off the Tea Party Movement. What is your opinion? Is saving America not your job? Are you content to leave it to President Obama, Eric Holder, Mitch Mcconnell, John Boehner and the Liberal Media? How long can you remain silent? Do you still think it can't happen in America?
The Senate Conservatives Fund says that it is time for House Speaker John Boehner to go and they will keep track of the GOP lawmakers that support their effort to oust him from his leadership post. The group, which is targeting several incumbent Republicans in primary races this year, said Mr. Boehner, Ohio Republican, has sold out small government principles on too many occasions and the last straw came this week when House GOP leaders signaled they were going to support a bill to increase the nation’s borrowing limit without attaching any strings to reduce spending. SEE ALSO: Boehner: GOP’s reversal on debt is ‘disappointing moment’ “There’s only one solution. John Boehner must be replaced as Speaker of the House,” said Matt Hoskins, group’s executive director. “Conservatives helped Republicans win a majority in the House Of Representatives, which made it possible for John Boehner to become speaker. Unfortunately, he has chosen to ignore us and help President Obama enact his liberal ag ...
At this point I'm thinking House Speaker John Boehner has no pride left. Credibility disappeared long ago. Gail Collins at the NYT. "For a while it looked as if the House was going to pass a modest version of the same. But that was long ago. Back, um, last week. That was when the Republicans came up with a series of principles for reform during a group retreat. Principles that, Boehner said, “our members by and large support, put together by the leadership team. And they believe it.” He made that last comment Thursday, about three seconds before he announced that nothing was going to happen. Pop Quiz. Complete the following sentence: John Boehner dropped the plan to pass immigration reform in 2014, and blamed his sudden, abrupt, U-turn on: A) The people who closed down the George Washington Bridge without Gov. Chris Christie ever knowing a single thing about it. B) Russian oligarchs. C) Justin Bieber. D) President Obama. Yes! Everybody got this one right! John Boehner says the House Republicans won . ...
Here's some fun for the end of the week -- how President Obama and John Boehner's immigration games are just like games straight out of Star Trek! "Like" and "Share" if you hope that the political games end with REASONABLE immigration reform.
The following is a statement from Eddie Carmona, Campaign Manager for PICO National Network’s Campaign for Citizenship in reaction to Speaker John Boehner’s comments on immigration reform yesterday: “I wish I could say I was surprised Speaker John Boehner is blaming President Obama for his own unwillingness to act on immigration reform. The truth is, the Speaker has, time and time again, proven that he would rather pander to the extreme portions of his party than work to achieve a bipartisan solution for an issue that impacts countless families and communities across the country.” “President Obama has deported 2 million undocumented immigrants, a majority of whom would qualify for citizenship under legislation being considered in Congress. It is laughable that Speaker Boehner would try to paint President Obama as untrustworthy on the rule of law when the President, sadly, continues to deport record numbers of aspiring Americans.” “We will continue to push Congress for a long-term solution to ...
Paul Ryan, R WI, and John Boehner, R, OH assert President Obama does not the law... I think the laws Mr. Ryan and Mr. Boehner were referring to were slavery, lynching, sex-trafficking, child labor, money-laundering, tax evasion (U.S Treasury: G.O.P. piggy bank - tax cuts, deregulation), gerrymandering, voter repression, unlawful imprisonment, pro-“life” (so your sons and daughters can be cannon fodder killed in a war and protested by the Westboro Baptist Church), outright dishonesty - lying, and a whole host of wonderful things the GOP is famous for... I don't know about you, but I'm glad Obama doesn't... (He obeys the constitution - what a dolt)...
At yesterday’s State of the Union Address, President Obama said, “fix our broken immigration system.” Although his comments about immigration were short and not very specific, this comment caused House Speaker John Boehner and several other GOP members to stand and clap. How did this statement of support resonate with you?
RE: Senator Blunt's interview on the Monday, January 27 PBS News Hour Dear Senator Blunt, In your PBS New Hour interview on Monday, January 27, you suggested that the wisest and most effective course of action for President Obama would be lead by working cooperatively the Congress. Do you think that the public has forgotten so quickly that it was the Senate Minority Leader, Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, that declared Job 1 to be preventing the re-election of the President and that the Speaker of the House & Republican Majority Leader, Congressman John Boehner has made it his priority to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, which your party has touted as "Obamacare", calling over 40 votes in attempting to repeal it and allowing your party to force a shutdown of the government in an attempt to force its repeal. Those of us who listen to what politicians say & watch what they do say and those of us who have been in the individual health insurance market and have been forced to pay over $10,000 a year ...
Facts: At the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner, President Obama will deliver the 93rd in-person State of the Union Address tonight at 9:00pmET. Woodrow Wilson delivered the first in-person SOTU Address.
Obama to Dems: Boehner will pass immigration reform in 2014 "President Obama has told Senate Democrats he expects Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to pass immigration reform this year, defying predictions the issue is dead for 2014. Obama believes Republicans will feel politically vulnerable if they fail to advance the issue, a high priority among Hispanic voters, according to Democratic senators who met with the president this week." Obama sees immigration reform as a source for optimism in what has otherwise shaped up as a tough year for Democrats. “He predicted the House would pass something this year,” said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who attended the meeting."
On Thursday, November 21, 2013, Ohio Representative and Speaker of the House John Boehner decided it would be a good time to try and continue to hammer President Obama over the Affordable Care Act and the issues with healthcare.gov. Initially, his stunt...
Quinnipiac Poll: Obama's Approval Rating Hits Low President Barack Obama's approval rating is at its lowest level since he entered the White House in 2009, with a majority saying for the first time in a Quinnipiac University poll that the president is not honest and trustworthy. The survey of 2,545 voters conducted Nov. 6-11 found that only 39 percent of respondents approved of Obama's job performance, compared with 54 percent who didn't. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.9 percentage points. Among women voters, one of Obama's biggest support groups, only 40 percent said they approved of his performance in the White House, versus 51 percent who said they did not. Bill Clinton says Obama should honor health care promise Former President Bill Clinton believes that President Obama should keep his promise that those who liked their health insurance coverage before the Affordable Care Act became law could keep that coverage -- even if it means changing the law, he said in a recent interview. In an interview with the online magazine Ozy, Mr. Clinton said, "I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got." The White House said Tuesday that Mr. Obama agrees with Mr. Clinton. "The answer is yes," White House spokesman Jay Carney responded when asked if the president agrees with Mr. Clinton's comments, adding, "The president has tasked his team with looking at a range of options, as he said, to make sure nobody is put in a position where their plans are canceled" and their new options are too costly. Carney continued, "He's very interested in try ...
CRIMINALIZING CHRISTIANITY America is being told the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) is merely a much needed law to affirm fairness and tolerance and to insulate those in our culture who practice homosexual behavior from bullies in the workplace. In truth, this legislation effectively would codify in law the very thing it claims to combat. Discrimination. This law, if passed, will criminalize biblical Christianity. Hypocrisy. Activists, apparently intoxicated by recent success, are now publicly putting their actual goals on the table---coming out to a complicit press. At least 10 Republican Senators have joined the parade and voted to criminalize biblical Judeo-Christian sexual ethics by voting for ENDA. Michelango Siqnorile, witting for the Huffington Post, confessed that any form of this bill that reaches President Obama's desk, which he has promised to sign, must have "no religious exceptions." I wrote about this piece of legislation last week, because if it should become law, it would be cult ...

"To help sell this plan to the American People, President Obama said it's the same plan Congress has. See, I think that's a mistake. I think that's why a lot of people opposed it. Have you seen members of Congress? Do they look healthy to you? Anybody here want to be as fat as Barney Frank? Huh? You want to be as orange as John Boehner? I don't think so." --Jay Leno
MOST POWERFUL IN THE WORLD: President Obama is not? Really? UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is Number 32 - behind Benjamin Netanyahu, Manmohan Singh and Michael Bloomberg! Ouch. The most powerful African in the world is . Aliko Dangote (64) - just ahead of John Boehner (66) and Sepp Blatter (69). Mo Ibrahim is at 71st position!

HUBRIS IN WASHINGTON Hubris in Washington Socrates said that those whom the Gods would destroy, they first make proud. Have you ever seen a group as proud as our current representatives in Washington? And I don’t mean just President Obama, Harry Reid and John Boehner. Just think how proud Justice Roberts must be. With a single contrary vote on the question of whether President Obama’s health care law care was constitutional, he changed the course of history. What’s more, he was smart enough to make sure the law did not apply to him. And note how proud Nancy Pelosi is, even though she is no longer third in line to be President. Proud that she commands the attention of the media, she gives us that plastic surgeon smile as she exemplifies what California has done for the women of America by sending her and her fellows—Maxine, Barbara and Dianne---to Washington. The climax of her current excesses came when she referred to the efforts of Harry Reid to shut down the government and increase its debt a .. ...

Government Shutdown continues, with no clear end in sight. While President Obama told federal employees in an email that he is willing to work with Congress, not much has actually happened yet. Townhall's Katie Pavlich writes: Despite telling federal employees he will work with Congress, President Obama has repeatedly told Speaker of the House John Boehner he will not negotiate. Although the letter is dated October 1, many employees didn't see until today when they were allowed to check government issued email for 15 minutes.

Even though Republicans haven’t achieved what they wanted, the party representatives described the meeting as "useful and productive". During the Washington talks Mr. Obama pres ...
“I’m throwing my support behind this campaign because we’ve have had enough. Our government has broken away from the people, and our grievances are not being heard, so we need to get out there and make it clear to the powers that be that be - whether it’s President Obama, Speaker of the House John Boehner, or whether it’s Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Senate - that we are simply not going to take it anymore. The time has come to save our country, and we’ll do it in the style of Ghandi, Lech Walesa, and Martin Luther King”, said Klayman.
The Fix: What Bob Woodward can tell us about President Obama and John Boehner
I adore Jimmy Kimmel. He just said said that when President Obama and John Boehner finally settle this government shut down is over, the make up sex is going to be awesome. I just peed a little.
Here's the Matt Brown part, a little long, but interesting. "Matt Brown Ok, This might take me a second. But this is so psychotically wrong it's tough to even know where to begin. First of all, the ACA is law. It's a law. Sorry. It got passed by both houses, signed by the President and was upheld by the Supreme Court. IT has passed, literally, every hurdle set by the CONSTITUTION. President Obama even campaigned on it and voters rejected the Republican candidate who ran on its repeal. Republicans have attempted to repeal the law 40+ times. This is not in the spirit of compromise or progress. It is an obsession they have with harming those whom they view as their opponents instead of their colleagues. This is not the first time Republicans have held their breath and demanded something in return for nothing and I imagine they may very well do it again. Can you so easily forget that they orchestrated the Sequester and were downright giddy about its implementation. And now this? You have an entire extremist p ...
Yesterday, Wall Street hedge fund managers, bank CEO's, and the Koch Brothers notified the leadership of the House Republican caucus that they weren't so sure that this idea of defaulting on America's debt was a very good one. So today, Speaker John Boehner, presented his new, really creative idea to the President. Extend the debt ceiling for six weeks, but keep the government shut down during that period. That would keep Wall Street happy. As you can imagine, that suggestion went over like a fart in church with President Obama and the Democrats in Congress. Problem is, the Government Shutdown will also mean that veterans' benefits will be delayed. Seniors will not receive their "Meals on Wheels." Three and four-year-olds will not receive quality instruction in Head Start pre-school classes. People out in northeastern Colorado will experience delays when they apply for flood relief. Farmers and ranchers who lost cattle during the recent blizzard will not receive government assistance to help them ...
[Warning to my conservative friends who have been enjoying my baseball posts of late: I'm switching to political football, so this one might not go down as easy] Here's what I think President Obama should go on television and say to the American People: I understand the desire of the American People to see our two major parties sit down and resolve their differences, get our government working again, and take care of our obligations so we don't damage our recovery. I also want Americans to know that I will not be averse to modifying the Affordable Care Act. I have always known it would need to be changed once it was clear where its weaknesses are. All programs need modification, and the changes the health care law will need will become apparent once it is implemented and has had time to take effect. Changing the law was always part of the plan. So I feel the need to explain to all of you why I will not sit down right now, under these circumstances, with John Boehner, Mitch Mcconnell, or any other memb ...

OUR 17% SHUTDOWN One week ago at midnight, the federal government 'shutdown.' President Obama is still refusing to negotiate and the next battle is quickly approaching: the debt limit. But despite the White House making life as painful as possible in the name of partisanship by barricading WWII vets out of their memorial, throwing the elderly out of their homes, shutting down the amber alert system, blocking national and private parks, etc. the majority of the government is still functioning. Byron York breaks down the numbers: In a conversation Thursday, a Republican member of Congress mentioned that the military pay act, passed by Congress and signed by President Obama at the beginning of the shutdown, is actually a huge percentage of the government's discretionary spending in any given year. And that is still flowing. So if you took that money, and added it to all the entitlement spending that is unaffected by a shutdown, plus all the areas of spending that are exempted from a shutdown, and added it al ...

Obama is already a hated man, Sen. Ted Cruz and Speaker John Boehner just screwed themselves and their whole party :) lol CBS found that 3 days into the Government Shutdown 44 percent of Americans felt that Republicans in Congress were at fault, with only 35 percent placing the blame on President Obama and Congressional Democrats. The Fox News poll, conducted October 1 and 2, found that 25 percent of voters blame “Republican leaders such as John Boehner” for the shutdown, while 17 percent blame “Tea Party Republicans such as Ted Cruz.” With 24 percent blaming President Obama, and only 8 percent faulting “Democratic leaders such as Harry Reid.” In a show of force, 20 percent of those polled blamed everyone equally. On the basis of party lines, the poll showed 42 percent blaming the Republicans and 32 percent the Democrats. President Obama is standing by his refusal to negotiate over the ongoing partial Government Shutdown and the looming debt-limit bust, so House Speaker John Boehner and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew took their talks on the fiscal crisis to the airwaves in dueling Sunday show appearances. The conclusions: The partial shutdown is bound to last for at least another 10 days and the stakes are growing by the hour as Americans come to believe Obama is serious about not budging. Boehner and House Republicans are unified behind a pressure play: They keep passing bills to provide funding for popular programs and Democrats’ sacred cows, particularly retroactive pay guarantees to government workers. If Obama remains aloof from the process, things are going to get very dicey on Wall Street and Main Street.

The labour market in the U.S. continues to show signs of strength with the number of people applying for unemployment benefits last week lower than expected. The Labor Department reported that jobless claims kin the week ending September 21 fell by 5,000 to 305,000. Furthermore, job losses were also lower than expected with many employers more confident of a sustained recovery. At the same time, higher borrowing costs appear to be restricting corporate expansion. U.S. GDP is now running at a 2.5% annualised rate. The debt ceiling crisis is once again in the limelight as continued differences of opinion between Democrats and Republicans threaten to trigger a government shut down on October 1. John Boehner, the House Speaker has said that the debt ceiling debate will be a "whale of a fight". Republicans are seeking spending cuts, looser regulations and a delay in Obamacare in exchange for an increase in the debt ceiling. President Obama has consistently said that he will not negotiate on what some see as hi ...
"Fed speak, DC drama could rattle the market" From Berlin to Tehran to Washington, the week ahead could provide high drama for markets. Wrangling in Washington over the debt ceiling is likely to get louder and uglier, while traders will be listening intently to a gaggle of Federal Reserve officials speaking in nearly a dozen appearances between Monday morning and Friday afternoon. Germany's federal election is Sunday, and while Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to head the next government, the race could be tight, resulting in a new coalition. President Obama speaks Tuesday before the United Nations General Assembly, where the focus promises to be Syria but also Iran. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in an interview with NBC News, signaled an unexpected willingness to engage in diplomacy with the U.S. over his country's nuclear program. He, too, speaks at the UN on Tuesday. Economic data will also be important since the Fed now has pushed the focus on its tapering decision to the Oct. 29-30 meeting. T ...
The House on Friday is poised to approve a stopgap spending bill that strips out funding for President Obama's signature healthcare law. The continuing resolution, pushed by Republican leaders at the behest of conservatives, will serve as the first volley in a 10-day battle that will determine whether much of the federal government shuts down on Oct. 1. It cleared a test vote in the House on Thursday, 230-192, setting up a final vote for Friday. Once approved by the House, the measure will move to the Senate, where Democratic leaders have vowed to restore funding to ObamaCare and could try to increase spending levels to soften the blow of sequestration. Backed into a corner by conservatives, Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Thursday challenged Senate Republicans to "pick up the mantle and get the job done" by fighting for the House measure in the upper chamber.
Dear Editor Cognitive dissonance is the uncomfortable feeling you get in your head when two different thoughts are in seeming conflict with each other. Ted Cruz, the Tea Party and the Heritage Foundation who invented Obamacare will commit political suicide if they shut down the Government. Americans agree with the President on the Proposed Grand Bargain, the elements of that and their support for it hasn't changed, compromise is being and has been called for even in the rank and file Republicans, it's just the Tea Party, Heritage Foundation and their minions in Congress. Republicans have President Obama on the rocks, everything he's ever done is on the verge of being undone, his legacy ripped from him and his administration relegated to a three and a half year lame duck status. His weakness making John Boehner accept gun control, amnesty, tax hikes on the rich and equal rights for *** is marking his second term as a failure from the first day. His inability to get John Boehner to raise the debt ceiling, . ...
Edward Snowden has been the subject of much debate this week in the United States and in many other places. The Speaker of the House Of Representatives, John Boehner, says Mr. Snowden has betrayed his country. “He’s a traitor. The disclosure of this information puts Americans at risk. It shows our adversaries what our capabilities are, and it’s a giant violation of the law.” Other Americans, like Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked government secrets in 1971, believe Mr. Snowden is more like a hero. “I think that he gives me hope that we may actually regain our Bill of Rights.” Mario Ritter explains exactly what secret programs he made public. This month, Edward Snowden told The Guardian newspaper that the American government has been secretly collecting millions of telephone records. The program gathers only limited data about phone calls, such as where a call is made, to what number, and how long it lasts. National security officials and President Obama have stated that the government does not have ...

Hey Billy Allen II, this is what is happening in Congress. Martha Roby (R) congress woman from AL introduced a bill to amend the "The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938" (gave us the 8 hour work day, the 40 hour work week and overtime pay). The bill, H.R. 1406 "The Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013" passed congress, allows employers to offer "comp time" instead of overtime pay. House majority leader John Boehner and every republican congressman from Tennessee voted for it. Most likely will not pass the senate and President Obama said if it reached his desk, he would veto it. One of the many reasons that the approval rating of congress is at 22%.

Congressman Trey Gowdy checkmates Lois Lerner Eric Golub KNOXVILLE, Tenn., May 22, 2013 — President Obama has finally met his match. After years of deflecting and blaming others for numerous scandals, he finds himself up against one man with superior skills. South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy speaks with a slow Southern drawl. While coastal snobs may consider him a “hick” or a “hilbilly,” Gowdy is all brains. Unlike some politicians, he has actually in his lifetime held gainful and meaningful employment. He was a prosecutor, and his interrogation skills reflect a superb intellect. During various congressional hearings, many committee members use their limited time to admire their own voices. Gowdy gets straight to the pertinent questions. He knows the law. He was at his prosecutorial finest when IRS employee Lois Lerner tried to stonewall the Oversight Committee. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed published Tuesday evening, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) blamed President Obama for the nearly $1.2 trillion in across-the-board spending cuts set to go into effect next month, labeling the looming cuts as "the president's sequester."
That’s what Dan Mitchell argues today: [President Obama] miscalculated in thinking that the fiscal cliff tax hike somehow meant that he had permanently neutered the GOP, and he definitely goofed when he tried to use the sequester as a weapon to bully Republicans into another tax hike. Ignoring the President’s hyperbole about the supposed catastrophic effects of a very modest reduction in the growth of the federal budget, Republicans have held firm. And the President has suffered a painful political and policy defeat. That’s chicken in the bush or a bird in the egg or something that I’m not yet ready to count. The White House still has plenty of tools at its disposal to paint the GOP as the bad guys in the sequester, and Complicit Media to help every step of the way. Hungry school kids, frustrated travelers, laid-off janitors — the Tear Factory is just getting warmed up. It worked for Clinton in ’95, and might well work for Obama. If no agreement is reached on a budget for this year by 27th. March, the federal government faces a shutdown. "...This is not going to be an apocalypse...It's just dumb. And it's going to hurt. It's going to hurt individual people and it's going to hurt the economy overall..." (President Obama) As letters go out for forced leave and lay-offs and people begin to feel the impact of the cuts, Republicans will come under pressure to negotiate. Speaker Boehner Should Be Charge With Treason Speaker John Boehner should be arrested for Treason against the United States. He has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of The United States, in reality he has done the complete opposite. Ever since he has been the Speaker the credit rating of the United States has been lowered, the economy in near collapse and struggling to recover. His efforts to negotiate with President Obama can only be described as worthless. He has not made an honest effort to serve All the people, just a few of his friends. Now with another deadline passed it is painfully obvious to anyone one that John Boehner serves John Boehner and what is good for him. He would like to see the United States default on it's debt, would like to see thousands lose their jobs(except his). Millions on Social Security to lose their ability to pay their bill, but life will go on for John Boehner, he will be able to pay his bills and buy food, but he could care less about the millions who are sufferin ...
So after spending the majority of my adult life in the Army, I learned that as a Leader you have to take responsibility for both the good and bad that happens while you are in charge. I truly believe that to be a good Leader you must believe in this philosophy, so while it is OUR fault for these Political Leaders, as we voted them into office, I would simply say that President Obama-Leader of the United States, Harry Reid-Majority Party Leader for the Senate, Eric Cantor-House Majority Leader, and John Boehner as the Speaker should all take responsibility for not doing something to avert this sequester. President Obama and a bipartisan group of congressional leaders failed on Friday to avoid the deep spending reductions that will affect the majority of the people I know and my family! If I could I would fire all four of them and strip them of the benefits that they would get during a normal retirement. Then I would let the next in line be on notice that they will meet the same fate if they do not do a bet ...
Good morning all, I start today with a question: GIven that today is the dread "Sequester" day and we have been hearing for MONTHS about the "FIscal Cliff" how many political cartoonists will produce an images of President Obama and (A republican Elephant, Jon Boehner, John Boehner with Mitch Mcconnell sitting in his lap) holding hands as we go over the cliff? Just sayin'...

The person who deserves the most blame for the sequester -- the automatic spending cuts that kick in March 1 and will slow GDP growth by 0.5 percent -- is not President Obama or John Boehner, but House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
Fox News has confirmed that President Obama will meet with the top four Congressional leaders on Friday, March 1 on the nation’s budget crisis. Those lawmakers set to be in attendance are John Boehner, Mitch Mcconnell, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. The crisis has become what many are calling a blame-...
I was just watching the unveiling of the Rosa Parks statue. President Obama and Harry Reid were wearing American flag lapel pins. Mitch McConnel and John Boehner were not. Now normally I would find that unworthy of comment but at one time this was cited as proof positive that Presedent Obama was not a patriot. Had no respect for the United States of America or it's flag. Does it have any significance now or it is the non issue it should always have been
Yeah, that note at the top needs to be amended. EVERYONE is calling it "catastrophic," not just President Obama. It's NOT. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but there is nothing catastrophic about it. Government needs to cut back and if that means some folks have to leave the public sector to return back to work in the private sector then so be it. Government probably should have never been paying your salary to begin with. And the President is not the only one who needs to be called to task on this. It's also Harry Reid, John Boehner and everyone else in Washington who doesn't seem to understand the severity of the situation.
Ok. Another "Let me get this straight"-moment. Republicans keep trying to blame President Obama for coming up with the Sequestration plan. Um, why was it that happened? Oh, yeah. The Republicans were grandstanding and insisting that the nation for the first time in history go into an unnecessary default, because they didn't want to raise the Debt Ceiling to pay the bills they had already wracked up. So, the GOP was engaging in reckless brinksmanship, the president offered an alternative, and the GOP jumped at it. You may remember John Boehner bragging that he was happy because he got 98% of what he wanted. And by the way, the whole idea is that this thing was so over-the-top destructive that even the GOP wouldn't be crazy enough to let it go into effect. If President Obama made any mistake, it was imagining that there is something too crazy for the nihilist GOP. So, do I have that about right?
John Boehner blaming President Obama for the budget sequester is like Tony Soprano squeezing your restaurant for protection money and then writing a bad Yelp review when you have to raise your menu prices. Just sayin'. — DH Stone
I couldn't help but think of the "tragedy and comedy" Janus masks as I watched Joe Biden and John Boehner dutifully sit behind President Obama as he delivered his painfully long State of the Union speech. Biden's comedic goofy grins were a knee jerk response to Obama's overtures to help the little guy, whereas Boehner's tragic pouts reflected the harsh fact-driven reality that such policies actually hurt Mr. and Mrs. Main Street. Here are just a few examples of Obama's glaringly inane propositions. Obama stressed the need for job creation, but the fact is that artificially raising the minimum wage to $9/hr will stifle jobs. Faced with increasingly tighter budgets due to a shrinking economy, higher taxes, health care costs and overly burdensome regulations imposed by Obama, the average business of any size will be forced to cut back on employees if they are compelled to pay higher wages. It sounds nice and that's why Joe Biden smiled, but calling for an increase in the minimum wage will hurt the very peo . ...
Unclear which will end first: President Obama's speech or the private screening of Top Gun playing in John Boehner's head.
The Stupid Republican Party It is time for this Republican to ask that piece of trash Clint Eastwood for some direction on how they should handle President Obama,I am sure all of you know already i am just joking but thàts the way this Party is, maybe he can bring that empty Chair with him smart move. Then the next step should be to contact Rush Limbaugh, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mitch MCconell, and all the other Nuts in this Party their are at least 4000 of these Leader to many too name all of them. Now to the point of Reference a message to all you good old boys Stop getting on Television and saying President needs to show Leadership, Where have all you been President is the only one that shows Leadership , the problem is all of you Conservative in your party just block everything thats the Game all of you love to play.Attention to all blocking Conservative President Obama is not down on the Farm he does not have a master he has to Answer too .So do your self Favor stop trying to tell our P ...
Dear Editor For many years I have on a regular basis written LTE's on a range of topics though mostly on politics to the TT and a great many have been published though less lately for some reason! Four years ago when President Obama stood for election the Tea Party was born, I said their nature was such that they would one day turn on Republicans and they would have to chain the crazy uncle back in the basement. Karl Rove in the last hours has formed a PAC to fight Tea Party candidates in favor of Establishment candidates. The logic being the fringe right of the party is so out of step they can't win a general election! Evidence indicating just that end! I was right about Republicans and the Tea Party, I was right Americans would reject the Republicans as long as Teavangelicals had John Boehner on a choke chain, I was right that Americans would realize tax and regulations cuts would not make jobs rain like manna from heaven. I told Teavangelicals four years ago Establishment Republicans would ride them to ...
Speaker Boehner: Wrong Time for POTUS to Scrap Jobs Council & Delay Budget WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement today regarding the Department of Labor's unemployment report for January 2013: “This is the wrong time for President Obama to scrap his jobs council and delay his budget. Month after month we see the same thing: high unemployment and even more debt. More than 12 million Americans are still unemployed, and it’s been that way for far too long. If government spending were what causes economic growth, as the president believes, then the economy today should be booming, and the unemployment rate in America should be plummeting. “Instead of accepting sluggish job growth as the new normal, we need to work together to grow our economy, address our debt crisis, and expand opportunity for all Americans. In the weeks ahead, Republicans will outline another budget that addresses our spending problem and promotes robust job creation. And with our ‘no bu ...
Michelle Obama’s Eye Roll Decoded: What Lip Readers Say Inspired Her Epic Reaction (VIDEO) Posted by Lindsay Mannering on January 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM At the Inauguration luncheon on Monday, Michelle Obama's eye roll directed toward Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner was the ocular expression heard 'round the world, and today, there's new insight as to what exactly might have inspired the First Lady's reaction. The journalistic geniuses over at Inside Edition hired a lip reader to decode the whole situation, and you won't believe what he uncovered. Supposedly, FLOTUS rolled her eyes because Boehner had made a joke about President Obama's smoking habit. To see the original article click here.
I dont like reading the B.S. from main stream media... but every once in awhile something just jumps and slaps you and you have to giggle and thing... *** !! I knew that . In the Feb. 11 issue of The New Republic, President Obama said one of the biggest factors in the gun-control debate will be how it is shaped by the media “If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it,” he said. “I think John Boehner genuinely wanted to get a deal done, but it was hard to do in part because his caucus is more conservative probably than most Republican leaders are, and partly because he is vulnerable to attack for compromising Republican principles and working with Obama.”
I'm sure all my Republican friends will disagree with this. Taken from Truthdig.com Soon after President Obama’s second inaugural address, John Boehner said the White House would try “to annihilate the Republican Party”. Actually, the GOP is doing a pretty good job annihilating itself. As Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal put it, Republicans need to “stop being the stupid party.” The GOP crackup was probably inevitable. Inconsistencies and tensions within the GOP have been growing for years – ever since Ronald Reagan put together the coalition that became the modern Republican Party. All President Obama has done is finally find ways to exploit these inconsistencies. In his first term Barack Obama seemed the perfect foil: A black man, a big- spending liberal, perhaps (they hissed) not even an American. Republicans accused him of being insufficiently patriotic. Right-wing TV and radio snarled he secretly wanted to take over America, suspend our rights. Mitch Mcconnell declared that unseating him . ...
INVOICE John Boehner -- absolutely FREE! Dear Patriot, Just days from now, Grassfire representatives will walk into House Speaker John Boehner's office and present him with tens of thousands of personal invoices for the money that he and the rest of our lawmakers are taking from our pockets. The truth is, the so-called "fiscal cliff" was a ruse designed to bleed Americans financially. Democrats would have you believe that the money was necessary to avoid our national-debt problem, weaken our economy and force large cuts to federal programs. President Obama wanted you to believe that only the rich would be forced to pay a little more. But weeks after the "fiscal cliff" was miraculously avoided, EVERY working American -- rich or poor -- is feeling the pinch. + + "It was like getting punched in the stomach." Our grassroots effort to INVOICE John Boehner for the amount he and his RINO friends are taking from taxpayers is still resonating across Grassfire Nation. One angry and frustrated team member wrote, "I' ...
.WEAKLY HUMERUS NEWS AIMED AT YOUR FUNNY BONE TOP QUOTES OF THE WEEK Over the four-day holiday weekend Americans spent $15 billion a day! That almost breaks President Obama's record. (Jay Leno) Tensions over the so-called fiscal cliff reached a boiling point today as House Speaker John Boehner accused President Obama of acting like he won the November election. (Andy Borowitz) President Obama and John Boehner remained at loggerheads over budget proposals Tuesday. What a choice. The Democratic plan allows us to keep partying until the sheriff bangs on the front door while the Republican plan burns us down for the insurance money. (Argus Hamilton) Santa won't be landing in Washington or Colorado this year. Both will be so high he'll just do a fly-by. What a day for politics! John Kerry (almost confirmed) for Secretary of State; Diane Feinstein introduces assault weapons ban; Rhode Island voting on same-sex marriages; and John Boehner accuses President Obama of having plans to "annihilate the Republican Party". Perhaps if the lunatic fringe of the right used all of their rant/rave energy to get to the 21st century, THEY would not be destroying the rest of that party. Hey John Boehner, President Obama does NOT need to do anything here. It's sad that a party I once supported, is now destroying themselves. The American People have spoken! Don't blame the president!!
John Boehner and House Republicans are playing right into President Obama hands and setting themselves up for disaster by threatening to default and/or shut down the government.
"...PEACOCKS, JERKS AND WHINERS..." I loved this phrase that President Obama used today at the Geithner-Lew press conference. He used it in reference to both men: it felt apposite. But my mind quickly "crossed the aisle" and I found myself categorizing some of our "disarrayed" Republican friends. I'd like you all to help me with this list: PEACOCK: John Mccain for his "display" on all those Sunday Morning talk shows... JERK : Mitch Mcconnell, Eric Cantor. WHINER : John Boehner...
this Sunday at NHF- you are invited- bring a friend! January 13: “The Power Of Power.” Rev. Joan Kahn- Schneider. As I contemplate what I want to say about power, Susan Rice has removed her name from consideration as Secretary of State. President Obama and John Boehner continue to speak privately about some type of deal. And the United States of America still does not know if we will fall off some kind of imaginary cliff. All of this appear to be caused by abuse of a significant amount of power. Is it necessarily true that power corrupts? Let’s talk about it.
I have written elsewhere that President Obama and the GOP Congress are playing two different games: John Boehner and Mitch Mcconnell are playing old-school compromise politics while the President is playing not only for political wins but the bloody death of the Republican Party. Sadly, my message h...

Jan. 4: President Obama, John Boehner, Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan, and everyone else in America count down to the fiscal cliff New Year’s Day; then Chris Christie, Peter King, Jim Carrey and Ferris Bueller drill Boehner a new one over the lack of a Sandy relief bill; and all Paul Ryan wants to know is ...
From Hank in NYC: Subject: To The Editor“Fury in G.O.P……….” – Front Page – January 3, 2013 The Republican Party is disintegrating before our eyes. The ultra right wing, or Tea Party element of the G.O.P. has made it virtually impossible for John Boehner, or any Speaker for that matter to control their caucus. The failure to even bring the Hurricane Sandy relief bill to the floor however, is inexcusable, and permanently etches Mr. Boehner’s record into history as the weakest, least compassionate Speaker in the last 50 years. The G.O.P. acts as though we did not have an election in November, and, like they don’t give a whit about the wishes of their constituents, especially those in dire need due to a horrific act of God. It is truly shameful that Mr. Boehner and his caucus want to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and don’t have the decency or compassion for the hundreds of thousands of their fellow Americans left in Sandy’s wake. It is a good thing that President Obama did ...
I will say because no one else will. Someone talk me down if I am wrong. It has been 66 days and counting since Hurricane Sandy and John Boehner is punishing the people of New Jersey and New York because they feel Chris Christie helped President Obama get re-elected. No one and I repeat no should be able to hold up aid to people that need it. Our Government needs overhauling and I mean now. I want the election process overhauled today and not a day sooner as well. It is time to stop pacifying these Republicans. Who are they that everyone acts as if their are Cowboys from the O.K. Corral with guns and no one else has any. We won the election and the people have spoken. This is 2013 and I want the Democrats to show the Republicans that there is a new Sheriff in Town. We The People are not going to stand by and allow them to cheat, steal or force all of their arrogant and racist views on America. We want Hurricane Sandy victims to get paid now and don't keep telling me that money we have already p ...
The original rant about which is being pulled now that they've kissed, made up & are BFF's again 'Knife in the back': Fury over House dropping Sandy aid vote By Josh Levs, CNN updated 1:26 PM EST, Wed January 2, 2013 STORY HIGHLIGHTS NEW: The House adjourns until 11 a.m. Thursday -- an hour before the new Congress begins NEW: A New York resident calls it "even sadder commentary" on Congress, accuses John Boehner of "petulance" President Obama had called for a vote on Wednesday House GOP aide: Sandy aid package will be Boehner's "first priority" in new Congress (CNN) -- The outrage over inaction that began on Tuesday night in Washington quickly spread across the country, ultimately drawing the ire of governors and an impassioned plea from the president. But Republican leadership in the House showed no sign of changing its mind. A $60 billion aid package to help those affected by Superstorm Sandy would not materialize on Wednesday. "It seems an even sadder commentary on the state of our Congress than we've ...
If you watched the fiscal cliff drama on C-SPAN last night like I did you will realize that it was full of drama, suspense, and featured an unromantic sadomasochistic relationship between the Tea Party Caucus and John Boehner. The biggest winner last night was President Obama and the Dems. Who needs Hollywood when we got D.C.? The truth is always stranger and better than Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino fiction.
The big lie that the liberal media has fed to the American People is that the tax increase that was just implemented not only applies to individuals and households who make $400,000 a year, but it applies to small businesses as well. This will force a majority of small businesses, restaurants, law firms, local stores, etc. to lay off much of the work force. President Obama and Harry Reid are the primary reason for the imminent increase in the unemployment rate, as well as passive Republicans such as John Boehner who refused to stand up for hard working Americans and job creators. Although, the President states that Middle Class tax rates will not increase, many Middle Class workers will become unemployed and dependent on government assistance as a result of the naive belief that if taxes are increased on most of the private sector that it will somehow pick up the slack of those who are playing the welfare system that is one of the primary reasons President Obama's first term culminated debt (6,000,000,000, ...

My goodness Republicans, John Boehner is trying to get something done on your behalf. He's fighting your fight in a sensible and rational way. Boehner is working trying his best to represent your views while negotiating with a president who clearly won reelection on a platform that is opposed to your viewpoint! President Obama could be said to have a mandate and no need to negotiate with you but both he and Speaker Boehner see a need to work together for the good of the country. If you cannot get behind the president or your own speaker, then get the heck out of the way before your stubbornness derails the American economy again!
Please copy and send to your respective House Republicans. We need Boehner out of the speakership position. He has betrayed his constituents. I am writing this with grave concern to address the recent proposals made by House Speaker John Boehner regarding the “fiscal cliff” we face. As a Republican and a conservative I feel this move runs counter to the values I and others like me embrace. By agreeing to increase taxes, regardless of the income level, John Boehner has refused to address the real issue at hand. That issue as you and I are aware of is the out of control spending in Washington. Our spending as a nation is unjustifiable and the unfunded liabilities we are leaving for our children and grandchildren to deal with is preposterous. To date, President Obama has failed to provide any real details of budget cuts he is willing to make. This combined with the four years that his party has failed to produce a budget should be enough to hold him and those who support his rhetoric accountable for thei ...
President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner are still tussling over the details of any fiscal cliff deal. But the Wall Street Journal reports that, now corporate tax rates have entered the discussion.

LET's FALL OFF THE CLIFF The Bush Tax Cuts Finally End December 31. If Congress does nothing, the ax will fall on all the Bush tax cuts on New Year's Eve.2 Then, on January 1, the public pressure on John Boehner and House Republicans to extend the middle-class tax cuts (already passed by the Senate and waiting to be signed by President Obama) will become irresistible.3 So the middle-class tax cut will eventually get renewed, and we'll have $823 billion more revenue from the top 2% to do great things with.4
So now that I am on John Boehner's email list and he can regularly update me with the GOP's continued lies, I have decided to become his email Pen Pal. Today's missive from me to the speaker is as follows: "This was the subject line in an email I just received from"you": "Americans Back Balanced GOP Plan to Avoid Fiscal Cliff." Sir, this is NOT true. If you are surveying your friends the Koch Brothers, Sheldon Adelson, that clown Donald Trump, Karl Rove, and the nuts who make up the Tea Party (and who as a demographic are racist and not very smart), your "survey" might support this erroneous claim. However, I can assure you that the vast majority of the American People--those who re-elected President Obama by both the Electoral College count AND the popular vote--disagree. YOU MUST RAISE TAXES ON THE WEALTHIEST PEOPLE in order to address the current fiscal cliff. Enough nonsense. Enough pandering. I am a 65 year old woman who is still working and has worked since I was 15 years old. I am not ...
4 years ago when President Obama was elected he backed out of attending the World Conference on Racism. It was one attended bu *** near every third world country, but Obama under pressure from israel opted out at the 11th hour.. We were told to give him a pass.. Today two weeks after his re-election Israel, the country that famously supported the Apartheid Regime in South Africa, is invading Gaza.. President Obama calls Netenyau, a man who vehemently opposed his re-election and has been clear about siding with GOP leaders like Eric Cantor and John Boehner. Obama calls Israel and gives them 100% support on the invasion.. This is after Obama was given 85% of the Muslim and Palestinian vote.. That was substantially more than the Jewish vote... How are people feeling about this? Is this a small issue, one that we should sweep under the rug and not concern ourselves with? Does the President need to still play politics considering we basically fund Israel ti the tune of Billions a year? Its not like Obama nee . ...
President Obama, Vise President Biden, John Boehner and Mitch Mcconnell should have a cage match for the fiscal cliff issue. Lets get it on
Our moment of Gloat! These people should be submitting their resignations about now! "Our top political priority over the next two years is to deny President Obama a second term." Senate Minority Leader Mitch Mcconnell "Making Barack Obama a one term president is our goal." Michelle Bachman "I think Romney will get 289 Electoral College Votes". Karl Rove "My personal guess is you'll see a Romney landslide with 53% plus national votes and 300 plus Electoral College votes." Newton Gingrich "All of my thinking says Romney will win big with over 300 Electoral College Votes." Rush Limbaugh "A giant, giant spanking for President Obama, with Romney at 300 Electoral College votes." Glen Beck. "We going to win by a landslide." *** Morris "Romney's going to win". Donald Trump "Democrats are less likely to vote". Newton Gingrich "I'm very confident that Romney will win on Tuesday." John Boehner "Romney is going to carry Ohio." Governor John Kasich
THIS IS NOT A POST ELECTION MESSAGE: I watched John Boehner's message yesterday, and President Obama's tearful address to his staff today. If we want the results the President can deliver, we're going to have to keep working, keep calling & keep writing whenever we're called upon. That $300 million dollars given to Carl Rove by the billionaires was nothing more than a down payment. They're in it to win it, we better be be to. We proved hard work can beat big bucks, but they will continue making their payments. We better continue stepping up to plate when called upon.
Pray for President Obama, for Speaker John Boehner, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, For Leader of the Senate Harry Reid and M McConnell
The candidate for whom I voted lost (not the first time for that!). I am not upset. The world goes on. I will be VERY happy if I am wrong about President Obama. May he be healthy, happy, and a better President in his second term, especially the "healthy" part, as the idea of a President Biden scares the bejeebus out of me. May he have better Congressional "leaders" than Harry Reid, Mitch Mcconnell, Nancy Pelosi, and John Boehner, and better advisors than the "best and brightest" from both parties who helped get us into the mess we're in. One piece of really good news--No more election ads, flyers, phone calls, or any of that junk. Not until whatever we're voting on next fall.

President Obama, Harry Reid, even John Boehner are all using words indicating that both parties are interested in working together to solve the country's problems. Does anyone {someone} think cooperation between Democrats and republicans will be accomplished; that both will stop putting party first and think of the country?
SOUND OFF: Election Day didn't change much. President Obama is still in the White House, Harry Reid is still running the Senate, and John Boehner will keep the Speaker's gavel in the House. Does this mean the next 2 years will be more of the same partisan gridlock?
I have kept my political opinions nearly to zero for the past two+ years but here's my top 25 reasons for voting for President Obama and democrats: The current GOP: 1. GOP-Party of "NO" 2. Pro-deregulation of Wall Street 3. Anti-citizenship for children of immigrants 4. For Women NOT having a Choice 5. Pro-School Vouchers 6. Rush Limbaugh 7. Sean Hannity 8. Carl Rowe 9. John Boehner 10. Anti-working class 11. Mike Huckabee 12. Anti Health care for all americans 13. Anti EPA 14. Anti Middle Class 15. Anti National Public Radio (Big Bird Included) 16. Laura Ingraham 17. Anti-fact based Science 18. Anti Department of Education 19. Mitch Mcconnell 20. Paul (abolish SS and Medicare) Ryan 21. Tea Party 22. Grover Norquist 23. Philosophy of "invade something.invade anything" 24. Sarah Palin for VP 25. Two wars and no way to pay for them! I like Mitt Romney but not whats behind him. From what I know, he was good for Mass. I wish him well.
Contrary to his truth challenged, Charles Koch scripted debate performance, Mitt has consistently said on the campaign trail in front of his base (i.e., unhinged Birthers, paranoid conspiracy theorists, draft dodging Neocons, parasitic corporate titans, low-information conservatives, and knuckle-dragging Tea Party sycophants) that if elected he will reinstate with vim and rigor every disastrous economic policy unleashed upon America by Bush from 2000 to 2008, a period of fiscal insanity when Republicans transformed America into a “debtor nation,” laid ruin to the middleclass (America’s real economic engine), discarded children and seniors in favor of Goldman Sachs, and nearly succeeded in bankrupting the most powerful nation in history. On day one, President Obama inherited a record $12 trillion Republican created deficit, courtesy of Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, Mitch Mcconnell, Jim Demint, *** Cheney, John Mccain, and John Boehner. And ever since day one, Republicans have betted against the American p ...
Keep in mind that no matter who wins on Tuesday, roughly 50% of voters will be opposed to his plans for governance. I mention this because Fred Barnes commentary is instructive. Obama and the Back-to-the-Future Campaign If the president had practiced the bipartisanship he now promises, he might have been a shoo-in. By Fred Barnes President Obama is eyeing a new tax cut to boost the economy. He wants to "reduce the costs of our health care programs." He's eager to "meet" the deficit-reduction target of the Simpson-Bowles commission. He's "confident" he can reach a "Grand Bargain" with Republicans on taxes and spending. To get it, he promises to be breathtakingly bipartisan. "I'll wash John Boehner's car," he told a radio interviewer. "I'll walk Mitch Mcconnell's dog." This sounds like meaningless election-year chatter, but there's more to it than even Mr. Obama might suspect. If he'd done in his first term what he now vows to accomplish in a second term, he'd be in a far stronger position to win re-electio ...
I read this on John Boehner page, House Of Representatives, I know it is funny that President Obama, that they want to find Natural Gas and wind coal, is this not what President Obama said in his first election, If so why in the *** are you saying no to his energy bill. Reason (he wants to tax the Oil companies that are making so so much profit on Oil). Come on like Vic President Joe Biden said will you just get out of the way. Energy: We cannot tax our way to energy independence. We have to be able to produce our own energy here at home, and that begins with getting away from the extreme regulations that prevent us from drilling. But we can’t rely on oil-based energy alone and expect that will solve our problems. We must put in place policies to increase production of American-made energy to include Natural Gas and coal and renewable sources such as hydro and wind while protecting our natural resources. Nuclear energy has come a long way since the late 1970s, and we should increase our investment ...
I am seeing something developing before my very eyes that is amazing. President Obama and Gov. Christie is showing this country how to work together. Take notice Mitch McConnel and John Boehner. But more than that it shows whose whose in this Country. It is the first responders. Fire Fighters, Police officers, School Teachers and yes Mr. Romney fema. Federal Emergency management agency. Where are Mr. Rove at, trying to destroy our Democracy and the rest of the 2%. They are not contributing one thing to this Country but steal, cheat and lie.
The Warm Embrace of Willful Ignorance Unlike in any time in our history, one political party has embraced ignorance as a badge of honor and authenticity. In that embrace we have lost our ability to think critically, to evaluate evidence and weigh it accordingly. Disdain for science and the scientific method is seen as essential to election; as evidenced clearly enough during the Republican primary. Newt Gingrich on stem cells: “killing children in order to get research material.” Herman Cain said “global warming is poppycock.” Michele Bachmann: “the HPV vaccine caused “mental retardation.” John Boehner said that climate scientists were calling carbon dioxide a carcinogen (not true). Boehner also argued for teaching creation science in class. Rick Perry and Ron Paul call climate change “a hoax.” Bachmann claimed that President Obama is putting American children in concentration camps; and is to blame for the swine flu; more broadly, that swine flu epidemics happen only under Democrats. "I ...
Permit me to suggest an excellent non-fiction book I'm enjoying, "The Price of Politics", by Bob Woodward. You will remember him as the one who, with Carl Bernstein, broke the Watergate scandal in the Washington Post? Well, in this book he details the negotiations in 2010 and 2011 that brought us to where we are as we approach the fiscal cliff. No one turns out to be without blame, and the gridlock we observed in the news during those months is truly intriguing when seen from the INSIDE: President Obama, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Joe Biden, et al are seen at their best AND WORST! Interesting reading for those who care where our nation is headed as we approach this significant election in a little over a week!
After mulling it over for several months now, I think I have finally been able to drill down to the foundation of Obama's lack of significant legislative achievements during his first term: During his first two years, President Obama faced trying to get Nancy Pelosi and Mitch Mcconnell to agree on anything; and for the second two years he's had to get Mitch Mcconnell and John Boehner to agree with him on everything. Let's re-elect the President and give him a centrist majority in both houses of Congress, then we'll see something get done.
So what has happened to class? Where is the respect? Where are manners and etiquette? Where is the protocol? I was taught in school, the cub scouts and by my parents that we respect the President of the United States. You respect both the man and the office,it didn't matter whether you agreed with him or not, there was no discussion about this, it was the way it was...so what happened, I mean we have Sarah Palin using racial slurs, we have Anne Coulter calling our president a name which is politically incorrect, hurtful and truly only proves what a dumb *** she is, we have the son of the Republician nominee threatening to punch the President, we have Donald Trump spewing all kinds of things making unfounded and ridiculous accusations about things which are not relevant to anything. We have the speaker of the House John Boehner, ignoring calls from the President. During the debates we had Mitt Romeny speaking over the President. I wanted so badly for President Obama to remind Mitt that he, Barack Obama WA ...
* ** Reality ** Why is America in the shape it's in after 4 years of Obama. 1) We have a Congress that is more concerned about destroying President Obama, than they do about helping America. 2) We have state governments that are more concerned about destroying Obama, than helping their respective states. Ronald Reagan has been cited about the recovery under his Presidency. 1) Reagan had Thomas 'Tip' O'neal that steered congress to work with him.John Boehner and Mithc McConnell guide congress away, and to oppose President Obama. 2) Ronald Reagan's opposition was to his policies, not his race. The climate of the electorate was to move the country forward during the Reagan presidency. Today, the electorate is more anti-Obama, rather than pro-America. Reagan was called President Reagan. President Obama is called, Obama, or Mr Obama. The President inherited a 9 trillion dollar debt. But more important, he inherited 2 wars, which the biggest contributo... rs to the current debt, yet no one in congress, or the m ...
I would like to know why people are so *** President Obama when Hal Rogers turned electric companies to gas instead of coal, Mitch Mcconnell didn't do anything in the last 4 years except be an obstructionist against economic growth which is a treasonous act against our country and John Boehner who would throw temper tantrums and storm out of meetings like a 6 year old. Mitt Romney SHUT DOWN COAL PLANTS WHEN HE WAS GOVERNOR. I know that there is a high rate of illerterate people in this country and people that do not have access to the internet, BUT there are libraries through this nation that will help people find what they need. So before anyone opens theirs mouth and says something that is going to embarrass themselves LOOK UP THE FACTS and come at me as an intelligent person.
I think anyone who was unsure about who cares about middle America and women's rights more , is either unable to interperate english or doesn't believe in womens rights. And is just unable to see the need for change to the privaledged and Corporate America. This is exactly why it takes so long to get justice for Middle Class workers. The Republican Party is not the party of the Middle Class. President Obama has preserved a Womens right to choose, inacted recoarse for women to get equal pay in the work place, with the Ledbetter law. The same law Paul Ryan voted against. President Obama inacted laws on Corporations to big to fail making a repeat of 2008 less likely. We will now have some control over Insurance monopolies and make it illeagle to reject you because of a pre exsisting condition. And the economy is slowly improving and if the American voter would vote Minority leader US Senator Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House John Boehner out, this recovery would be placed in the fast lane. Since Ronald Re ...
It starts today! National "Contact Your Congress" Week!...I'm on it:-) We must DO more than just vote in November, WE must act NOW! How soon we forget...remember all the talk the Tea Party, Mitch Mcconnell & oh cry baby John Boehner pitched to take over the House? Remember: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs! Elect us & we Republicans in Congress will create Jobs, Jobs, Jobs! They have not done one *** thing to create jobs, in fact have not mentioned it since they took over! They never had ANY intention on taking care of the American workforce! Their only political goal was to block & obstruct the President from doing his job so that people would buy into it being his fault. "Our political goal is to insure Barack Obama is a one-term President" -Mitch Mcconnell...It is time that We hold them accountable and demand that they do the JOB WE PAY them to do! As Citizens United, we can contact our Congressman & demand the pass President Obama's JOBS Bill that he presented one year ago to Congress @ The State Of The Union Addre ...

Anemic job growth, you say? Don;t blame President Obama, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown et al. Blame Republicans like John Boehner,Paul Ryan, George Mitchell et al whose ONLY (their words not mine) goal is to make sure Obama faisl. Well, he may not be able to run so fast as he is capable, but he keeps walking the ball over each finish line. Thank you President Obama and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown for keeping the ball moving.
Hours after Obama’s inauguration, a despicable assemblage of scoundrels (i.e., Paul Ryan, Mitch Mcconnell, John Boehner, Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Eric Cantor, John Mccain, John Kasich, Tom Corbett, Nikki Haley, Scott Walker, Chuck Grassley, Richard Shelby, Grover Norquist, Marsha Blackburn, Jim Demint, *** Cheney, John Cornyn, Jim Inhofe, Tom Coburn, Jeff Sessions, and Jon Kyle) met for dinner to set in motion a Nixonian concocted conspiracy plot aimed at destroying, dehumanizing, sabotaging, maligning, and delegitimizing President Obama. For House and Senate Republicans, their marching orders were simple: Regardless of any hardship or suffering forced upon Americans, if Obama is for it, we’re against it, even if we were once for it. So when you hear Romney and Ryan say they want Obama to succeed, there’re lying, and once tainted with the stench of a lair, no amount of political hush money can restore one’s reputation (just ask Newt). From day one of the Obama Administration, Republicans have fi ...
Mitt Robbingme just trust me.I've got a plan to put middle America working again. But his party lead by Speaker of the House John Boehner and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell have made their party members drag out every means to shorten this recession to discredit President Obama and keep the Middle Class guestioning why things have not improved. This all in the hopes of another type election like Carter /Reagan of 1980. This started the down hill spiral of Middle Class wages and virtually the end of collective bargaining and strong union representation in this country. My generation is posably the last generation with a guaranteed pention. And if you let another Republican in the White House you can posably loose Social Security for persons 63 and you will return to the grasp of the Insurance pirates to set higher rates and refuse high risk or pre existing applicants. Don't let these lieing SOB fool you again with their ole trickle down theory. It didn't work the 20 years they were in the White House and ...
The Republican Party congressional leadership (left to right): Senate Republican minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and House Speaker John Boehner, after the 2010 midterms. Photograph: AP Photo/Alex Brandon So why does the US economy stink? Why has job creation in America slowed to a crawl? Why, after several months of economic hope, are things suddenly turning sour? The culprits might seem obvious – uncertainty in Europe, an uneven economic recovery, fiscal and monetary policymakers immobilized and incapable of acting. But increasingly, Democrats are making the argument that the real culprit for the country's economic woes lies in a more discrete location: with the Republican Party. In recent days, Democrats have started coming out and saying publicly what many have been mumbling privately for years – Republicans are so intent on defeating President Obama for re-election that they are purposely sabotaging the country's economic recovery. These charges are now being le ...
Well, the rover Curiosity landed cool. Republican leader John Boehner leaped on it, accusing President Obama of "exporting American jobs to outer space". Fox News' Hannity Show chimed in with "Yeah, what he said!" and Prenny hopeful Mittens Romney issued a statement that this is yet another sign of how out of touch Obama is. "Here, we need more tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and he is wasting our rich people's tax breaks on exploration of other things beside giving more tax breaks to the wealthy". The President declined to comment, as he usually does when those dumb *** say anything.
In today's New York Post, Sunday August 5, 2012 on page 24, John Boehner, the Republican Speaker of the United States House Of Representatives, criticized President Obama saying "He's never even had a real job for Christ's sake." Does Speaker Boehner know Joey? Like Obama, Joey has never held a re...
Daily Kos: Of course John Boehner would like President Obama to make some new proposals about guns via
A furious John Boehner insisted President Obama "doesn't give a *** about average folk and Harry Reid sarcastically referred to Grover Norquist as "a real dandy," strongly implying that 1950s-style verbal confrontations are all the rage on the Hill. The ratio of Republicans who publicly believe that Hillary Clinton's aide is trying to undermine the American way of life from inside the State Department versus those who think that's bunk stands at 5:1. And Rob Portman strongly brushed aside VP rumors, either because that's the proper thing to do or because it kinda *** being thought of as the guy who can make Mitt Romney seem interesting by comparison. Politics, the best comedy on tv. I really don't see how anyone can take these guys seriously, no matter what your party affilliation, these guys are funny. Sad thing is, these guys are in charge.
House Republicans tried to repeal President Obama's signature healthcare law for the 31st time in 18 months last week. Every vote to repeal or dismantle the law has predictably died upon or before, reaching the Democratic-controlled Senate, but House Speaker John Boehner said, "We want to show people we are resolved to get rid of this." ~ NPR.org. (Too bad The GOP Congress isn't resolved to doing anything else. What a HUGE waste of time, and tax dollars all these "votes" have been to us all).
Dear President Obama, you are near neck and neck with Governor Romney right now. If you want to shore up your numbers and virtually cinch this thing, let me give you some advice. I know your boys in the DEA read every word I write, maybe they can pass it along to you. If you want to fire up a great many of your more stagnant base, and maybe grab some from the other side as well, simply announce you are authorizing a full and no holds barred study into medical marijuana research. Especially after Harvard just released it's cancer and tumor fighting properties. You don't have to legalize it, you don't have to reschedule it, all you need to do is authorize a factual, non biased study and get the ball rolling. Do that soon ok.. remember last time you didn't take my advice and you hugged John Boehner? Ya.. well, anyway. Hop on it. Thanks.
Speaking of tantrums (we were talking about tantrums were'nt we?), This reminds me of the premature election results newspaper that was distributed the morning that Truman won the Presidential Election in 1948: "Dewey Defeats Truman": "In a memo sent to his entire caucus Friday, Boehner warned members not to gloat over what most Republicans would see as a victory. "[I]f the Court strikes down all or part of the president's health care law, there will be no spiking of the ball," Boehner wrote in the memo. "Republicans are focused on the economy—and under President Obama's policies, our economy is struggling. We will not celebrate at a time when millions of our fellow Americans remain out of work, the national debt has exceeded the size of our nation's economy, health costs continue to rise, and small businesses are struggling to hire."" Speaker of the House (of Representatives), John Boehner, Republican from Ohio. This is hilarious!! Do you remember US Senate Republican leader, Mitch Mcconnell (Kentucky) ...
For what it is worth, here are my thoughts on the FAST and FURIOUS ATF Gun walking program. Last week, President Obama granted a request by Attorney General Eric Holder to enact the presidential “executive privilege” to block the 'Fast and Furious' document release to Congress. That move failed to coerce the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to not vote on the contempt charges against Eric Holder for his obstructionist tactics and failure to comply with multiple subpoenas to hand over documents pertaining to the "Fast and Furious" operation. The Committee affirmed the contempt charge with a 23 to 17 vote mostly along party lines. John Boehner has announced that the contempt measure will go to the full House for vote projected to be either Wednesday or Thursday of this week—we will see. The speaker says the measure will pass. The big question is this—why has President Obama now invoked “executive privilege” after 15 months of investigations? His use of that power has sent up red ...
Republicans seem befuddled by President Obama 's decision to halt deportation of young people brought into the United States illegally by their undocumented parents. Mitt Romney is gobsmacked, Speaker of the House John Boehner is exasperated, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is totally bummed ou...

For the first time in my life, I am nervous about the presidential race. I DO NOT want a republican president. I know that President Obama isn't the best, but I think that things will get better if he stays in power for four more years. Bringing in a new man will only make more confusion. I mean, if this country allowed George W. Bush to have a two term presidency, then we can let his successor finish his job too. I know that a lot of people are going to vote republican, and that's their choice, but when you do, know that they are ones (John Boehner) who help this country fail. Nobody is perfect, no country will be either. But when you have Right Wing, Tea Partiers making the calls, things are going to get worse.

John Boehner wrote: There's growing, bipartisan support for stopping the looming tax hike on small business job creators scheduled to take effect on January 1st. In the past day, President Clinton and President Obama's former economic advisor Larry Summers have endorsed extending all of the current tax rates. It's time to prevent this massive tax hike to provide certainty for businesses across America.
COMPROMISE After then President George H. W. Bush famously stated “ No new taxes” he was persuaded to enter a compromise with Democrats in congress He would agree to an increase in tax if they would agree to spending cuts to help balance the already lopsided budget. The taxes were increased, the spending cuts never got a hearing in congress and the Democrats used the fact that GHWB had lied when he said he would not raise taxes against him. This is the state of compromise in our government today. Joe Donnelly is already saying that Richard Murdock’s biggest fault is his rejection of compromise.. Tell me then and what compromises has Joe Donnelly agreed to and lived up to? President Obama was going to lead a government based on cooperation and compromise yet he did not speak to Republican leadership for the entire 2 years during which he had control of both houses of congress. Even after the Republican Party gained control of the house it took brinksmanship on the part of John Boehner to bring him to ...
President Obama has now officially endorsed *** marriage. Republican leader John Boehner responded immediately, demanding, "What would great Americans, like J. Edgar Hoover, think?"
John Boehner went on State of the Union today and proved in his interview with Candy Crowley that he's fast becoming Public Frenemy Number One. He both insulted President Obama and tried to claim he's just giving his pal some constructive criticism.
On CNN's State of the Union today, Candy Crowley pointed out to House Speaker John Boehner that in recent weeks he has been ramping up the attacks on President Obama. He has recently taken to accusing Obama of acting beneath the office of the presidency in how he has chosen to pick fights with Congr...
House Speaker John Boehner accused President Obama of diminishing the traditional role of the presidency by inventing “fake fights” over the student loan rate extension and parading around the country on campaign trips aboard Air Force One disguised as official business at taxpayers’ expense. “This.
A lot of people talk about President Obama's "failures". I haven't seen too many of them. He's fallen short of his stated goals a time or two, but still strived for them. He's had to compromise, but that is the basis of the art of politics. He tried, early on but less so lately, to leave behind the partisan bickering and blaming, but Mitch O'Connell, John Boehner, and Eric Cantor couldn't let that stand, let alone extreme pundits on both sides, who have turned "compromise" in to a dirty word, and something that gets you booted out of office. President Obama has faced a Senate that has filibustered more times than any congress in history, a general dragging to the right any topic by people who caucus with the Tea Party, a general conservative hate on his person (not his character, especially since a lot of it is based on lies, i.e. muslim, not a US citizen, etc), and a republican congress that automatically says no to anything he says, then blames him for the fact that nothing has gotten done, other than t ...
