Joseph Vincent "Joe" Paterno (December 21, 1926 – January 22, 2012), often referred to as "JoePa", was an American college football coach who was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions for nearly 46 years, from 1966 through 2011. At the time of his death he held the record for the most victories by an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) football coach with 409 and was the only FBS coach to reach 400 victories.

Saturday went to Craft show at Lykens Glenn and chatted w/ friends and made some new friends. Sunday went w/ hubby and friends on last cycle ride for the year. Went to State College to visit Joe Pa's grave, then to Clearfield for lunch. Wonderful weekend!

Trish and I are here in Hawaii and having a wonderful time together and I ware my Penn State proud! It is so glad to have people come up to us and praise Penn State and Sadened for what has happened and still beleive in PSU as a great school. Was thinking today about the whole Penn State Scandal. Joe Paterno was fired and was held responsible for the abuse occurring in the locker room. He was held responsible for knowingly allowing children to be harmed and not taking action. Even though he did not participate, he was and still is held responsible. How is this any different than American's who support the Obama administration, who openly promotes abortion, which is not solely harm but murder.
