Young deity on target in L4 Today in 1994 - Robbie Fowler came off the bench to score for England B as they beat the Republic of Ireland 2-0 in a friendly at Anfield. Neil Ruddock skippered a side that also included David James, Jamie Redknapp, John Scales and future red Nick Barmby, while Phil Babb, ex-red Ronnie Whelan and future red Jason McAteer all played for the Irish.
